The property is falling apart. Looks like no maintenance is carried out. The staff are lovely.
Tiles in the pool all coming off. It was probably fabulous when first built but now it would be lucky to pass a 3 star rating.
We would not stay here again.

I wish there was a category for between good and excellent. This was a great value stay and view /location was superb.
The breakfast buffet was average and so was the bbq. Again for the price I’m definitely impressed. The executive balcony with ocean view I really can’t get for that price anywhere else.
If you are not after fluff robes, and just want a comfortable place to sleep after all the water activities and too tired to care about the noise on Kuta beach and traffic then this location and views heaven - this is the place for you!

It was right across the beach, but the beach could use more picking up of plastic trash that gets washed up. I did see a person who was picking up stuff.The staff was polite& friendly& I was there by10am-ish after arriving from cruise port &could leave All my Bags in a room behind desk while I could change to swimwear *go eat at Coffee House right next to the hotel.VERY low prices and Good sized serving of a salad (I think with salmon!). I went to pool but there were leaves in it and around the area &then workers came along to replace long slats of wood that were a bit loose (I noticed the loose boards when I first walked over that area to a get to a lounge chair.).I was only there for 3 nights &gather they finished their repairs. I left soon after they were banging the wood. ;) &got a towel from them &went to the beach.There's people selling huge freshly cut coconuts there for about $2usd! Which I was so happy to get! Met a friendly couple Annie & Maddie who made fresh smoothies(& Maddie offered his driving services to me at reasonable cost (& took me to airport), & others sold food&surf lessons. I went on tours the next days so didn't stay on property. I asked a staff guy who recommended a fun place to hear live music and have some light food. There was a lively band who also offered Karaoke! & The night before I left I had difficulty with weighing my many bags & between 12am till 4am, a very nice front desk young man brought up a handheld scale to help me 4 times!ThankYou!

We really enjoyed this property for the price. Across the street from the beach, spa beside the hotel, Beachwalk Mall in walking distance and local vendors close by as well. The staff were very friendly and willing to help with anything. Will definitely book here if we return.

Minus: poor building finishing condition, a bit on the expensive side for that standard. My shower handle was broken on my first day but the staff fixed it. Towel hanger very far from shower, making us walking across the sink with dripping water. There are only body towels provided, no hand/2nd towels available.

The property is very old. You need urgently maintenance. No lighting along the balcony to our room. It's completely scary and unsecured. But more scarier is the room. The wooden floor got peeled off, the toilet area

The hotel is in a nice location and walking distance to many shops and restaurant.

The front desk staff are very helpful and polite.

Away from the main façade, the condition of the hotel is rather disappointing. The table in the room is broken. The safe in the room is free standing and not mounted to the wall. Wardrobe lights are blown. Chairs are moldy. The showerhead is slimy

Breakfast is not worth the top-up. Food choices are very limited, and the food quality is very poor. There are about 5 waiters hiding in the corner of the restaurant that only seem to care about clearing up the tables.

Huge disappointment

The hotel seems to have really struggled due to the pandemic. Over half of the rooms do not seem to be available and do not appear to be maintained, only one elevator is working, paint is peeling from the walls, electric sockets are loose, the family pool is dirty, the balcony doors loudly creak at the slightest outdoor wind, no soundproofing at all, the aircon is extremely loud, drinks in the minifridge stayed warm, and despite being called smoke free, the rooms wreek of cigarette smoke.

That being said, the staff are very kind and welcoming. The breakfast is great too.

The staff are very nice and helpful .. i didn’t like the cleanliness of the room we had 4 cockroaches in the room i think they should use pesticides or something .. they sent someone to remove them quickly and said they will close the drain i think they should do something more about that maybe spray something to avoid them coming in the room. Overall, had a pleasant stay. The staff was so friendly and helpful! Beach is right across the street. The trees were blocking the view from our room so you can’t see the ocean. Our room was upgraded which was a great. The room is small but was adequate. It could use some upgrades and better cleaning. Some stains on couch and walls. Good stay for the price.

The position of the hotel is good. The rooms are spacious and quite clean. There is a lot of building work on the extension. The staff whilst are very pleasant, their English is very limited. It takes a long time for any request to be delivered. The breakfast is very average and the staff do not refill unless asked to do so,then prepare to wait.

The staff need to be trained, no-one was at the door to help with luggage, first two rooms were very noisy because of the pool filter, no shade whatsoever in the front pool, breakfast was poor, had to keep asking the staff to refill the dishes that were empty, had to ask for knives and teaspoons each morning, no-one told us there was a second pool, which was very nice but only 4 chairs, ridiculous, and we were told they had no others. the staff were very nice and pretty helpful. The room we were in was nice enough, bed comfortable, air con ok and the cleaning was good.

This property is a dump! builders working on extension till10pm,toilet stunk,looked nothing like pictures and for price we could have got a whole lot better,we are going back to Bali in November and booked Mercure legian which we visited while there this time and we were shown rooms and is so much better and $1000 cheaper for a extra 2 nights,definately wouldnt recommend Wyndham.

The location is great for going to Kuta beach easily every day or walking down the Beachwalk Shopping Mall or various spas and restaurants nearby. Staff was excellent, very helpful however the condition of the hotel needs improvement. Sewage smell from the drains caused us to request a room.change. The staff was very nice and gave us a new room, which in its day, 15 years ago was good. But now the entire first floor of the hotel has a noise from hotel generators. Which come on and off every 15 seconds. Its remarkable that a hotel with a brand name like Wyndham could allow this. There is massive construction going on during day therefore trying to rest in your room or poolside is impossible. If you dont Surf the beach will be dangerous due to all the surfers taking lessons. Think of a shark attack the fins of a surf boards going over your body.
The hotel is near everything you need so walking around you can find all that you wanted from Bali. KUTA is a young persons area with lots of night life. Restaurants are fine and prices reasonable. Hire a driver to collect you from airport so you dont have to go thru the hustle of transportation when you get off your flight. Hire a driver for day trip to Uluwata Temple and local day beaches for swimming. This should cost you no more than 50 dollars for a personal driver for the day. We going to UBUD for some luxury and quiet.
The staff and people are delightful and very sweet, they are trying their best working in a rundown old hotel. Which deserves at best 3 stars.
Dont be fooled by the photos posted they are not what the hotel looks like.

You get what you pay for

We booked for 2 Deluxe rooms and stayed for 2 days. First impression: Old Hotel, the information given in the website is the front view of the hotel, but actually we have to walk along a dirty alley to reach our rooms which are in a separate building at the back. The Hotel have construction going on and some noises heard from the room.
The rooms are Ok, but the bathrooms look dirty and need some cleaning. Mirrors in bathroom was not properly clean, many water spots near the basin. Rooms using split AC and it was turned on when we came. Water leaks spotted on both rooms and we need to use towel to take care of it as we hate asking for repair as the hotel should have already know and should not placed us in those rooms at the first time.
Anyway, we can sleep Ok on both nights and we picked this hotel because of its strategic location, near the beaches, close to many restaurants, malls, shops..
We believe the Hotel would be nice to stay when they have already finished the construction. From now till end of 2019, we don't recommend to stay here if you have extra money for better hotel nearby.

Located right across from the beach which is great. Staff was informative of how to get beach towels, complimentary drink, and wifi password. All had to be requested and I felt like this is something that the hotel should automatically provide. The room was way at the back of hotel and was under construction (but that’s okay, they apologized in a kind letter). I would not have booked if I knew they were renovating. The room looked modern in the pictures but it was in poor condition. Wallpaper peeling, dirty floors, AC not working, mould in showers, dirty mirrors. Room smelled like sewage.
Would not recommend staying here, not a typical Wyndham property.

Staff at Check in and check out were friendly. Check in and check out went smoothly.
About the hotel:
Once we entered the room it smelled like cigarettes and the air was really damp, also found hair in the bathroom.
On site there is also construction going on so if you are used to sleep in forget about that since walls are paperthin and you can hear everything thats going on outside.

Advised before we arrived we would be coming for our engagement... email from hotel to say they would do towel animals of swans on bed etc.. this did not happen nothing at all to acknowledge the occasion. No pool bar. Our bathroom floor towel was dirty after our first day the next day they had folded the dirty towel and put it back in our bathroom!! Could not charge to room so had to have cash on you all the time. Welcome drink not a nice cocktail like u think but rather a fruit juice from coffee shop that i had to ask twice for. Overall a very average experience.

Been a world traveller for past 25 years, stayed in hundreds of hotels worldwide, this Wyndham Garden Bali beach staffs are by far the most pleasant and hospitable second to none. The breakfast buffet is well worth the extra few dollars cost when booking your stay. Recommend getting hotel shuttle to and from airport. Safe and cheaper going by taxi. Will be back again.

Not really a Wyndham

The hotel is tired, especially by Wyndham standards.
There are many improvements that are required in order for this to be a true 4 star complex.
In order to \"enjoy\" the pool, you need to attend reception before returning up to the pool area. Relaxing by the pool is made difficult due to the severe lack of cushions and comfort on the sun loungers.
Maintenance is behind schedule. Not only did the tv have constant fuzz, the shower wouldn't stay at any height above the knee (unless held) you can clearly see the signage of the Kuta Playa (the name prior to Wyndham taking over).
The friendly staff did their best but a locals smile does not make up for the short comings.
Unfortunately this will not be on my list of places to revisit.

I’m very disappointed with hotel, we arrived at the hotel at 2pm and the room wasn’t ready, we had to wait extra 20 minutes in the hot weather outside with two children, as they didn’t have aircon waiting reception, and when we got the room, it was very dirty, the floors still dusty and toilet haven’t been flashed and bathroom rusty and the bar fridge door not cleaned, the internet was very bad, I asked the staff do many times to fix it, but they didn’t, we did spend 5 days earlier in another hotel called Sol House and it was great. Also the breakfast area wasn’t aircon, so we needed to seat outside humid which very hard to eat in with two small children, and the breakfast area toilet were dirty and smelly. Overall it really disappointing for me and my family.

Aircondition was not cold, my husband couldn't sleep as it was stuffy in the room. We accidentally left a pair of uniqlo jeans & jacket in our room’s closet, when we called, it was gone.
Condition in hotel is clean, surrounding area is good. Reason we chose Wyndham was because it was a chain hotels & we were hoping it would be good, but there are other better hotels ard the area.

Terrible Hotel

The hotel description and pictures are nothing like the reality of the property.
First room allocated was 1403, the room stunk of mould and sewrage and the hotel was aware of it becuase they had attempted to spray the room before arrival. The staff where lovely and moved me to room 1408, the maintainance of the room was disappointing to say the least, air con didnt work properly, gaps in the sliding door allowing noise from the main street, tv reception was like something from the 1950s, old run down bathroom, major construction site at the back of the hotel which will take years to complete as they are building a new hotel there and its only at digging stage.
Breakfast was bland and tasteless, pool was small and had glass windows on the bottom so people in the restaurant can see you swimming.... tacky..
asked for a second key only to be told i would have to leave a deposit ! really ?? never in my life has a hotel asked for a deposit for a second key..
Staff are lovely, helpful and very friendly but Im sorry the hotel is terrible.

The hotel is in renovation but given the time being spend in the room, it was not an issue for me. Room are clean and confortable size.

Don’t waste your money.

Would not stay here again. Looks like they are only interested in keeping up lobby and eating areas. Rooms/hallways/elevator/spa looks like it needs a deep cleaning. Mold and mildew in bathrooms. Dirty walls. Fixtures severely water stained. Sad to see several roaches in the spa during my massage/mani/pedi and hallway in front of my room. Btw. Don’t get the mani/pedi either. First time getting a mani/pedi without even a drop of water. Your hands and feet are not soaked. They just use a wet towel to wipe away nail filing. We did get a coffee 90 minute maeesage and body scrub that was good and reasonably priced. But the the roaches was a big disappointment. Breakfast was ok. It usually had a 1 breakfast meat, 1 potato, waffles/pancake, omelette station, cereal station, selections of bread and what would be considered an American lunch menu (fried rice, some type of meat and veggies). Biggest disappointment is Kuta beach. It is very dirty and polluted. Hotel is across the street from beach which is shared with all the hotels on the trip. Probably the best thing about this hotel is it’s location to a lot of restaurants and mall area. Ocean view suite isn’t really an ocean view because the trees on the beach blocks the view of the beach. It’s more like a pool view. The pool/ pool area was nice.

Definitely not a 3-4 star hotel when they don't have basic room amenities like hand towels, iron or local phone. And to top it the hotel is under renovation currently.

Convenient hotel

It’s location is great. Just cross the road to access Kuta Beach and is a walking distance to The Beach Walk Mall. Friendly hotel personnel. Good hotel value for money in general! Just that the hotel is under renovation during this period. Dusty in some parts of the hotel.

Good hotel right on Kuta beach

Good hotel on Kuta beach. Will be adding new buildings starting in October and the renovation will last for 18 months. Hotel location is its best feature and the staff are great. Both pools are very small and not great, but the beach is over the road so now real issues. We stayed in the back of the hotel which is OK but if you want the best rooms stay at thee front.Breakfast was a bit of a let down but adequate, catered more for the Asian taste then that of a westerner which was a shame, otherwise the food in the hotel was great. For the price we paid I would recommend.

Very nice clean hotel, right off the beach.

Very nice clean room, hotel is legit and right across the street from the beach, with plenty of surfboards to rent at any time of the day. Restaurant is good too, live music a few times while we were there, and plenty of live music in close walking distance. Only down falls were kids yelling in the pool at 7:30am when it is not suppose to open until 9am, and the breakfast buffet was not well stocked and over run with annoying screaming kids.

Okay hotel near airport, close to beach and dining

The hotel is currently being re-branded. The room was not super clean, but okay for one night before catching a flight.Hotel is a bit dated, lots of construction in the area. But there is good shopping, dining, and the beach is nearby. Not the best beach as it is super crowded, but then again this is Kuta. Staff were good and friendly. They had a boxed breakfast ready as we left early in the morning. The shuttle to the airport was 150K RP.

Good location and clean hotel

The Kuta Playa is now renamed to Wyndham Gardens Hotel Kuta. On arrival, my room was very nice, and had recently been refurbished, however when I went to take a shower, it was not working correctly and there was no soap dish on the wall to hold soap or shampoo. The following morning I moved to a different room, there was refurbishment work being carried out on the ground floor rooms, which was completed on my last day, having been there for three weeks.

The staff were all extremely helpful in all departments and went the extra mile to attend to anything requested.

There is better option for the money

Dirty, soap and shampoo had no tag, the building is probably under a transfer of management or something similar, Friday night they have live music till about midnight, so if you plan to rest, not a good option. Breakfest is limited and the dishes usually are not really clean, fruits were full of fruit flies. The employees were kind and gentle but not really a problem solver.

Great location with easy access to the beach.

The hotel is currently under going renovations which are restricting the rooms you can stay in but of course the price has been dropped to still have the rooms full every night.
The food for breakfast in a combination of western and Asian styles with plenty of choices. The hotel is place right in the middle of the 5 star big boys with the access to the beach right out the fronyt. Sunsets can been seen from the top 2 floors of the ocean view rooms.

Good for the price. But not up to standard for 4*

The normal twin bed room is big and clean. I stayed at 3rd floor. Can't see the sea even though the booking site claimed that it is a room with sea view. Staffs were friendly but not very knowledgeable when I asked about tours of Bali. Pool is very small. Breakfast not very nice and a lot of fruit flies on the food. If just for the room, it will be fine to stay again. Overall, I won't visit again if I were to put everything into consideration.
