Do not waste your time or money staying here. The best thing about the place was the pool, and even that was untidy and grotty. The bathroom was disgusting. The sink, toilet, shower and bath were all unclean and incredibly old and rusty. The beds were hard and uncomfortable. The bed linen and towels were all white and all had dirty marks and stains on them. The breakfast was pretty disappointing. They cook you bacon and eggs, but the bacon is actually ham the eggs are cooked until they are dry and tasteless. The pool bar wasn’t open and looked like it had been closed for some time. Everything in the resort was old and rickety. The staff were nice and friendly, but the rest of the resort was such a let down. Never again.

Location was the best you could ask for.
The swim up bar is closed which was disappointing.

We booked to have a buffet breakfast and only got a set breakfast Dailey that did not change little annoyed about that.

I did talk to staff about this and the where hopefully be back into there best as soon as all renovation are completed.

Overall nice location nice gardens rooms was ok and we had a ball 5 out of 10 been to Bali 7 times.

Large rooms with all you need.
Bath was a nice touch with plenty of hot water. Toiletries provided.
Lovely deep swimming pool, bar wasn't open though.
Most staff were polite. Man at the desk was rude and put his hand up to hush me at check-in,so a bit of a bad start.
Garden was well kept.
I didn't like cat poo on the grass and having to ask for the coffee to be refilled each morning at breakfast.. breakfast was cooked fresh and the menu has enough choice. All in all good.

When I was looking for a place to stay. I was looking somewhere close to places I wanted to be near. From the photos of thr balisandy it seemed nice and inviting. Thr photos of thr room don’t show much, but again seemed on picture on thr internet only. However this was way far from the actual truth. From thr outside (which is not shown in pictures. Was very old and dated. I thought that made it might look better when I get to the other side, but no. The pool was dirty, unclean and nothing like the pictures (which I found were years old) only thr bottom floors were available as the top floors were no able to be used as they were unsafe and under repair (or so I was told) when I went to my room, it was far from desirable, it was smelly, if fact it smelt like mould. Thr fridge was no working and the and nor was the security safe. The front door, could be easily kicked in, if someone so desired. I thought my room was back, but my brother and sister in laws room was twice the smell as my room. That we decided to not stay and leave for something else. I was say I was less then impressed would be an understatement. I didn’t even argue for my money back as I knew it would be to no privail. I am in no way stuck up, I have been in war worn countries with better accommodations then this, been a ex-army veteran of 25 years I have seen my fair share of ruin down places, but this was worse this then this. I wasn’t willing to risk my health and thr health of my family so we left.

We stayed one night and found the staff very obliging and friendly - the room that we were given was very adequate for a comfortable stay even included a cooked breakfast and the coffee was excellent. Nice looking pool but unfortunately did not have time to use it - do not expect 5 stars but for the cost it was awesome. Very quiet for the location and will be staying again when we pass through Kuta.

the best best value for money

Excellent location as it is a few mins 6-10mins away from the beach with a stretch of restaurant and markets along the way. The hotel has very spacious rooms and a cosy veranda overlooking the central pool. Breakfast is decent but may still be improved by adding main course options. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Definitely value for money as the price is definitely friendly without sacrificing comfort and convenience

Bed bugs! The pool area is nice and so is the staff. But they have bed bugs and the bedding is disgusting. Moldy pillows, stained sheets, just gross. For the price, there are far better places. Its too bad, because it would be a good place if it were clean. I checked out early and the manager gave a partial refund.

Rooms seems to be good in photos, no cleanliness in hotel rooms, showers not working properly, bathrooms are very dirty, staff are non co-operative, no proper plug points in room, bathroom fittings to be changed, bathtub is of no use.... u can't actually use it as bathtub, the property needs a renovation, I will advice not to stay in this hotel till things are not rectified...... Worst service by staff, they don't listen to the problems of customer..... Staff is less bothered about the customer needs......

Jusk ok for the price but really dated and need furbishing.Stayed for 3 nights (Room 218 and 220). Booked family room (tripple) through booking.com and was confirmed but on arrival I was told that the family room is not available. Bad points :Stains on stairs , bed sheets and stinky bathroom.Floor is sticky and no floor mat provided. The rooms comes with basic breakfast but nothing to die for and can give it a miss. Dont expect tours and transport arrangement .Pricy too when compared to other vendors.Entrance to hotel is a small dark alley , no lighting and can be scarry. Good points :Reception staffs were helpful and efficient for check in and check out. Pool and garden ambiance is good .Just 5 minutes walk to Kuta Beach. Massage by the pool available on request from 10am to 6pm Cafe is by the pool (but limited menu)

There is nothing positive to say about this hotel.

The pictures make this place look great but the reality is far different. Cool if you are keen to sleep in dirty bedsheets covered in others bodily filth, no towels, filthy room, bathroom full of hair and mould, mattress was like concrete blocks, no facilities, air conditioner not working, staff extremely rude and dismissive. The pool is OK, access on floors other than ground is terrible. There were dirty dishes left on the floor in the hallways that were not from that evening, they were piled high. Booked 3 rooms and problems were the same across all 3.

Hotel staff were the plus to this experience, all very polite and attentive.
The cleanliness of the room was disappointing due to the stains on the sheets and the mold in the bathroom. The lighting was also very poor which was a big thing for my husband as his eyesight is challenged.
The pool (although we didn’t use it) looked amazing and was used by many guests. The breakfast was perfect!

A pleasant quiet retreat holiday.

The staff and surrounding gardens are very nice. The pool was enjoyable but the lounge chairs need to be updated. The cleaning staff need to be taught to how to clean properly. The bathrooms need a good scrub and properly disinfected before every new visitor. The breakfast included was very good.and the dinning room was clean and staff friendly. .

Filth, rats and staff that didn’t care.

I would like to say we have stayed at Bali Sandy four times in the last five years and have always been happy with the resort in all aspects.
This time we were taken to our booked and paid for “Classic Delux” room on the ground floor. I questioned the staff member re the room due to its poor condition and he said that’s definitely what you are getting and it’s “Classic Delux”.
I know that’s incorrect as I am aware of the rooms in the hotel that are this standard as they have been renovated over the past couple of years and that’s what we always pay extra for. I asked him to please move us to the renovated rooms we usually get but he just shrugged his shoulders.
The bathroom was a filthy disgrace with a bath/shower so bad I would not use it with out wearing flip flops. Shower curtain was covered in black mould as were the tiles, toilet filthy, water splashed on my feet through leaking drain when the sink was used and taps were all rusted and loose.
Day two the sewerage smell permeated the room so they left a can of air freshener. Night two we both woke at midnight to what sounded like a monster trying to rip the ceiling down. I am assuming an infestation of rats. After that we found alternate accomodation for the remaining eight nights and moved from the hotel.
When I checked out the man at the front desk just looked at me when I said we were moving due to the bad condition of our room. He then said no refund for next 8 nights as we had paid online.

Bad points -
Stairs only. No elevator for luggage. Difficult to get clean towels for room and pool. Dirty bathroom I bought bleach and cleaned it myself. No fridge in room. Staff had very limited English making communication difficult. On check out stated that final bill HAD to be paid in cash as no card facilities. Wifi was often not working for hours at a time.
Good points-
Staff friendly. Breakfast decent. 2 large bottles of water to room each day. Air conditioner worked well. Nice view. Nice pool. Nice balcony. Close to shopping and markets. Meals cheap and tasty. Massage service reasonable price and convenient.

The map on the website was wrong.
The first room we were given smelled horrible. Had been locked up for at least a week according to the guest next door. Had water damage which caused the mound.
Got given another room which wasn’t any better.
The WIFI was very intermittent but we were able to find better accommodation using it.
I know it’s Bali but this place needs a complete rebuild in my opinion.

When you look at low cost no frills this is it.i never rate a hotel when your only looking at cost; you can’t pay one star and expect five but having spent many years in Bali and Asia I got one star here
There’s nine sun chairs by pool so get there early or there’s no where to sit, there’s only thirteen pool towels available
I was given room 101 right next to foyer, kept awake all night by security guards chatting away then when I did fall asleep I was woken by what I thought was a light aircraft in the room the noise was unbelievable ,couldn’t ignore it any longer and discovered it was it was an air lock in the shower plumbing only way it could be stopped was to leave the shower slightly running. Bathroom in despararte need of upgrade or at least a good clean,towels grey
Woke up to no power a/ c off was told the whole area was affected but went to cafe next door which was running normally

Only problem is because of the one way streets you have to go all the way around to get a taxi home, mostly in peak hour traffic. You get what you pay for but it's pretty decent including breakfast.

My boyfriend and I had a lovely time staying at Balisandy. The staff was very friendly and the location was perfect. The breakfast included with our room was fantastic. We also enjoyed our time by the pool! The only downside was there were ants crawling on one wall in the room and in the bathroom, but they left us alone and didn't bite or anything. For two nights we spent around $46 and it was well worth it.

We had booked 3 nights at the Balisandy. To start with, none of the reception people spoke English. There was a horrid smell coming from our room and when we called them to come figure it out, no one showed up for an hour, then when we called again to say no one had come all she said was \"I forgot\" Uhm ok? Nothing was done about the smell. Bed was AWFUL, air conditioner was really loud, and the breakfast was nasty. Only good thing was the pool. Would not recommend

Budget hotel in prime location

Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good. Hotel was in a perfect location 2 minute walk to the beach and right in the heart of restaurants and bars. Rooms were dark and moist and AC didn't work very well. Wifi was poor in room but seemed to work decent outside on the balcony or in common areas. Pool was nice to cool off in after a day walking around the city. Overall you get what you pay for. If you don't plan on spending much time in the hotel and you want to be right off the beach then this is a great place to stay.

Comfortable hotel. 5 minute walk to beach past lots of stalls with people asking you buy to their bags, clothes, sunglasses etc. The hotel itself needs a bit of TLC. The beds are comfortable, and the rooms are cleaned every day with fresh towels, although the towels look like they need replacing now because they have a grey look to them, but I do stress, the towels are clean. The bathroom shower and taps could do with a good clean or replaced with new taps. The pool itself is good and has a lovely tropical garden surrounding it, but it could do with some new pool side furniture. They staff are very friendly and will do all they can to help you if there is a problem. For the price you are paying it is
comfortable enough and breakfast is included. Eggs are fried, scrambled or omelette ,toast, fresh fruit, tea, coffee, fruit juice some Indonesian rice or noodles and sausages are a typical breakfast.
I would recommend Bali Sandi resort if you are on a budget and want to use your money for more important things!THE

Very good for the price. The pool could do with a more regular cleaning and there needs to be more lounge chairs around the pool. ( only 7 on my trip). Simple breakfast adequate with not a great choice. The hotel is off poppies lane fairly close to the beach but you need to run the gauntlet of local traders to get there. All in all I enjoyed my stay there nd would probably stay there again.

Bali Sandy is a great budget motel .Beds are hard and no fridges but you can ask for a fridge and they will give you one if there is a spare . Breakfast leaves a lot to be desired , you had a choice of 3 hot dishes which was usually rice , noodles or sausages the HOT dishes were usually cold and not really nice .. I suggest to add Bacon and update their heating pans .... cold dishes were long life milk and 2 breakfast cereals .. they has some pastries that were cold and had little black Bugs all over them so no protection from insects . They did have an egg station so you could have fried scrambled or omelette .... Most days even though Breakfast was included we went somewhere for bacon

Place has a great pool with a pool bar.
Buffet breakfast was quite nice.
Room was comfortable.
Was told there would be a fridge but there wasn't. Expedia kindly called the reception and organised this as the hotel staff wouldn't budge on it.
Only negative.....the Bathroom was horrendous. Not overly clean, the \"shower over bath\" was so low that you couldn't stand and have a shower. There was an overpowering smell of moth balls so bad that we had to keep the door closed the whole time. It was that over powering that it even left you smelling of them after being in there for a few minutes

Only stayed one night as i was travelling alone & it was a bit scary going down long dark alley ways at night to get back to room, especially as is blocked off to traffic at certain times. Was nervous when had to get out of taxi & walk in dark by myself. But room was quite comfortable & nice having private balcony with lovely views.

We booked for two deluxe rooms and one room ended up on a superior room, my kids room was different than mine and very dirty smelly bathroom and room condition wasn't nice at all. Will not coming back again to this hotel. Room number 122 and 116 (on ground floor).
Hotel staff very unfriendly and not helpful at all. When you asked for something they will just answer in short sentence withoiut even look at you and tried to ignored you.

Staff were excellent - could not have been nicer or more helpful!! Buffet breakfast was great for the whole family!! In a great spot tucked away down a lane so it's lovely and quiet but only 2 minutes to everything!! Room was a bit tired but clean and functional and air con was lovely and cold!! Good value!!

Stayed for 5 nights with my two teenage daughters Had a family room which was basic but clean and pleasent AC good Staff amazing Just off Poppies Lane so close to beach shopping restaurants Breakfast ok Pool good with swim up bar and Happy Hours

Nice hotel, close to beach, shopping

This hotel is a fantastic good value homely hotel. its not fancy, but its cheap! Beautiful pool with swim up pool bar, decent breakfast range with egg station, tv with cable channels, wifi... Cheap, honest, stay. If your a fussy mcfuss pot give it a miss but this was our third stay and we will be back again! Thanks Balisandy .. happy.

Quiet location

The only downfall was restaurant food a bit ordinary. Anyone who can't walk too far, as with my hubby, not ideal. Otherwise would recommend

At first we were in top room floor was no fridge not what we paid for asked to change second room we spent the rest of our stay it was excellent would definately stay again.

Basic room. 2 kids 13 & 15 had to share King single bed - not great. Beds comfy, nice pool area. Rooms quiet & central location to beach & shopping etc.

Very happy here. Extended our stay.

Welcoming pool ,easily accessed and family friendly. Breakfast is basic but suited us.
We ended up eating many of our other meals here as well.
The room was very comfortable temperature overnight.
We will happily extend and come here again.
Good value for the price , needs refurbishing but is classical old Bali.
Drinks are same price as shops!

Get what you pay for

Good location close to the beach and walking distance to the main strip. Rooms are dated the showers have pretty much no water pressure def in need of a full renovation. Breakfast has no options maybe 3 cooked option an omelette, chicken sausage and mi Goreng but like I said you get what you pay for the staff are very friendly and helpful

Nice, quiet hotel. Very central.

Late check in, staff were fabulous. Air con not working quite right but fixed immediately when we mentioned and then it was fabulous. Very central to everything. Rooms clean, but bathroom pretty bad, needs complete reno. Great budget hotel.

Close to shops,beach and shopping. The staff were great. The room didn't have a fridge when it was do hot. The sheets were worn out, new sheets required. The bathroom needs redoing.
