I stayed in a ground balcony room. Room was spacious, modern, clean and lovely. Great value and excellent location. Breakfast was average. I wouldn’t recommend the buffet, lots of options around the hotel for breast. Staff were lovely and incredibly helpful. I would definitely stay again.

What I like is it's location near mostly everything I needed. And the staff are so helpful.

What I didn't like is the sound in the room! You can hear everything around you even what's happening in the other rooms and the lobby.

The Mercure Kuta Bali is a great mid-level hotel. It has a solid buffet in the morning, but it can get busy, and if you eat on the second level, you may have to carry your food up a flight of stairs. The resort has a nice pool overlooking the ocean across the street. It is not in the quietest location. The spa also has an ocean view, and is a great bargain for the location.

“The hotel had a great location—very close to the beach, restaurants, and a large shopping center. The room was nice and comfortable. However, the lobby was quite hot, and unfortunately, there were no fans or air conditioning there. The breakfast was also disappointing; we tried it on the first day and decided not to eat there again.

We had one long island ice tea, only, because it tasted like flat cola with no alcohol in. Basic popular drink, radler, not available. The double Jim Beam and come finally tasted like a normal drink but at over $20 per drink.
The buffet dinner was horrible and cold with poor options. Absolute waste of money.
No money change option.
One good thing was when the tv didn't work they did change the tv out for a new one which was good.
They also organised a taxi for us (at our cost) to the airport when we asked last minute. Hotel transfer wasn't available at the early hours we had to fly out. Wasn't an issue though, just more a heads up to keep some cash aside.

The location was the best . Close to everything , shops /beach/restaurants . The hotel was clean and had food choices at breakfast ( lots of Asian food) . We had an inner court room which was a mistake , the noise from people at the restaurant and motorbikes checking in just bounce off the walls making it noisy .

We booked 3 nights at this property in a deluxe room. I would not recommend this place. We ended up only staying for 1 night and checked out early. The room was stuffy even though we had the AC going at night. There is a mouldy damp smell in the room which we thought would disappear after the AC was on but the smell staying for the entire night which made it unbearable to sleep.

I recently stayed at this hotel and found it to be good value for the price I paid. While the property itself could use a refresh, the overall experience was satisfactory. The hotel is clean, and the staff are friendly, helpful, and professional, which made my stay more enjoyable. However, I wouldn’t classify this as a true 4-star hotel. If you’re looking for an affordable and clean stay with great service, it’s worth considering.

Wonderful staff

Only negative point is lack of vegetarian options compared to Accor Kuta heritage , which has more options for Indian vegetarian

Apart from all gd breakfast was just ok...nothing to shout out
Spa svc when booking and amazing room with beach front view...perfect tubs but massues svc was zero...armatures and doesnt seem professional.
We pay high price .
Hope they can get professional massues.
Besides all gd ..pool fantastic with majestic view of Kuta

Nice location for people who want to access the beach and interact with locals.

Food and Room Services:

They deliver the food on time, very respectful, a little pricey compared to previous hotels I’ve stayed. But overall amazing service with no negatives.

Cleaning:

The highlight of my stay is the daily cleaning and change of sheets, toiletries supplied on a daily basis, and guest services attendants being very respectful and meticulous. 10/10.

Front Desk:

A little negative for the front desk staff; they are overly inquisitive and don’t inform you when food or an item arrives for you—they leave it there until you call to check. Also, they sometimes point at you, whisper to each other, and laugh which is quite rude, a bit too loud for my liking when communicating with patrons. I have to point out that I only saw this behavior with specific staff and made it a point to know their names but wouldn’t put it here. There was only one lady who was very professional; she has braces on her teeth.

Overall, an amazing hotel. I would book again for my next travel but hope the hotel management can speak to the ladies at the front desk.

The hotel was in a strategic location with an easy access to convenient stores, pizza hunt, star bucks, restaurants, ATM’s and, the popular landmarks and tourist attractions were in a walkable distance.

Since it was a holiday season, the hotel was packed with people so I could hear loud noises in my room. My concern here was every single night during our stay in this hotel, I heard the sounds of bed frame that was moved or arranged by the guest right above our room.

Overall, I was impressed by the foods and friendliness of the staffs and trainees within the hotel. 10/10 I will most like stay here on my visit

Did not like the bathroom as it was pretty small with no space to put you stuff as its basically only a sink. Have to be very careful when showering as the water will seep out and wet the whole bathroom.

We booked the room that had the ocean view, but it’s raining on that day. So, the water came in all over the room. The room was very slippery . We requested to change the new room, but they sent two maids to clean and dry the room. I had to call the reception again to request a new room. Finally, after waiting for almost an hour, we got a new room. The room was very old and the restroom was tiny. We were very disappointed with the hotel.

Check in was so easy and fast, and the room was spacious enough for the two of us. Clean bathroom. Very soft bed. The AC wasn't working though, and the maintenance team came up to have a look at 3am. Kudos! They even offered a new room. I love the service and the staff. And it's right in the middle of town.

The hotel was closed because recently checked in guests were checked in by the government for a 2 week quarantine period. While it is understood that they would do that the hotel cannot have other guests staying there by law. Mercure hotel should have notified Expedia who could then notify me and arrange other accommodations. Very poor communication by the hotel and very dissapointed.

Towels were stinky. I complained about, but the new ones were not better. I guess the were not dried well enough.

No warm water in the shower.

The three stair steps in the room are illuminated. To turn these lights off, one need to know about a hidden button in the wardrobe of the room. I would have never found it myself.

At least the staff is incredibly kind and helpful. Very good service all over.

The location is very nice and the ocean view rooms have a direct view to the ocean and thats really good thing to wake up to.

The only thing that bothered me is the cleanness of the hotel, there were stains and mold across all the room, even on the bed. The towels were not changed regularly, they just fold them and put them back as if new, very disappointing.

The check in took forever, we arrived hotel from the airport around 10.30pm, just 1 person in front of us at the checkin in counter and we waited for almost 20 mins for our turn to check in, another 20 minutes for our room. took us total of 40 minutes to get into the room after a long flight. We requested an extra bed and no arrangement is made. Disappointed.

Location is convenient, just opposite Kota beach, walking distance to eateries and shopping mall.
