Great location in the heart of Kuta. The rooms are at the back of the onsite restaurant, therefore you dont get any noise.

Good for the price. Clean property, clean rooms and pool.
Perfect for budget travellers who want to stay in the heart of Kuta and 5 mins walk to kuta beach.

This is an excellent hotel choice in Kuta. You are 2.5 blocks from the beach, 2 blocks from Kuta square and a short walk from Poppies Lane. You are also pretty close to the airport. It was very clean. Some geckos came visiting on the balcony, but that is part of being in Indonesia. The outdoor shower for the pool was not working when we got there, but they fixed it. The breakfast is quite good but they do not give you a fruit plate first, as the other hotels we stayed at in Bali. We stayed in Kuta last, after going to Nusa Penida, Amed and Menjangan. So we were toured out and just wanted to shop and get spa treatments.

Limited 2 tea and 2 coffee sachets/,day which was something I never experienced with other hotels.

Swimming pool had a lot of Chlorine which was hurting the eyes.

Shower bathing water was spilling out of the bath tub making the bathroom floor wet.

- Room spacious, esp the bathroom. No safe, unfortunately.

- Location quiet, especially considering close proximity to Kuta shopping, restaurants, bars etc.

- Pool small by current standards, but pleasant enough.

Our experience was like most of the other reviews. Great AC. Clean room and property. Nice pool. Staff were outstanding. The only problem I had was with the internet. A fair amount of time I had to go out of my room to get a connection, but it gave me a chance to sit on the nice balcony, so it wasn't all bad. Highly recommend.

Fantastic location for walking to the beach, Legian and eateries, but lovely and quiet. We had huge rooms, yes, in need of a spruce up. The shower screens need to be the target of a working bee - a lot of soap scum buildup, but otherwise clean. There was a leak starting in the bathroom ceiling which they need to look at. Probably a lot of repairs needed post Covid.
Pool looked a little cloudy, and we wished for a bit more shade, as the water is warm, but nice for an early morning swim.
Beds were super comfy, linen and towels nice and clean.
If you want to spend your holiday dollars on experiences rather than fancy hotel rooms, this is the place for you.
We will stay again when visiting friends in Kuta.

Stayed room 701 March 12 2020 king bed had collapsed springs slept in middle of bedbug kept rolling to edge. Room is next to staff quarters stairway with staff clunking up and down on wall side pipes banging which would be easy fix get some clamps soap dispenser did not dispence they fixed them they still didn't work other than that it is a nice place good restaurant

The hotel itself is very nice, but there are no lounges or places to sit and relax, apart from your room.The hotel does not have a restaurant, they use the one at the front, which has the same name but is a different business,its not bad, but the breakfast is a sad affair, everything is charged seperately, $7aud for breakfast, 2aud for Indonesian coffee, 80c for milk,1aud per tea bag, and so on, top hotels in the area do smorgasbord breakfast, unlimited, for $13aud.

The staff at Yulia were amazing! They are very friendly and helpful in any way. I would recommend adding the breakfast package, if you're not planning on visiting different places each morning, as the selection is quite good and very tasty. The whole property is very clean, it is a great location, far enough away from the main road for insulation, and only a very short walk to the beach.

Security issue - beware !

Staff forgot to give us back our passports after we gave them to photocopy. We only realised that after our lunch as we were so tired. The same staff was also rude and condescending when we checked in.

One of our rooms was in the new wing and it was unbearable. Even at 18c, the room was like an oven and even with the cold water tap set at max coolness, it was running hot water throughout. We even changed the room from ground level to a higher floor but same problem.

They went above and beyond to make sure my stay was pleasant. Got free upgrade to a bigger and quieter room due to my injuries. Front desk also helped me print out a document and saved me from lengthy hunt for a print shop. Food at the restaurant is delicious (my favorite is the grilled tuna). Highly recommend!

I stayed at this hotel for a period of 3 weeks over August 2019.

I booked a Deluxe Premier room for 21 nights.

When checking in I was told that I had been upgraded to the Super Deluxe. Initially I wast that excited as the room still seemed old and outdated, So when a refurbished room was available they immediately offered it
However on checking the room and after a few days in the upgraded room I decided to stay in the room.

The hotel is set back off the street with very little noise which is amazing considering its location.

If you have been to Bali before you would have walked past this hotel without even knowing its there. It's very private.

If you haven't been you should consider this hotel, it is central to everything, Kuta Square is about 1 min walk, Beachwalk is like 6 mins, discovery mall not that much further.

The staff were all amazing and super honest. Many times I had left money on desks, floors, at NO stage was anything missing.

The hotel itself is \"old school\" needs a lick of paint and some rooms need updating, but overall I would stay here again.

The pool is kinda small for the amount of rooms there is, and closes at 6pm which is way too early. Since going out on day trips often getting back around this time or later only to not be able to in the pool was not that great. There was also a 2 days without pool access due to some issue. not great.

Special shout out to the house keeping staff who looked after my room, you did/do a great job !!

On arrival at 2am found that the information on the property is incorrect as there is no lift. As my wife recently had knee surgery this was an important consideration on choosing this motel. We were not able to be given a ground floor room until the next day. Other than this the motel is OK and would stay again

Great location off Jl Pantai Kuta and just to the rear of Kuta Square. Traffic noise from busy streets not a factor, my wife and I were amazed that once past Reception you felt as if you were in an oasis of calm. Nice gardens maintained daily. Friendly helpful staff throughout. Spacious room, a little dated, but abundant storage for long term guests. Bed large and comfortable. Very good selection of TV channels for those interested. Bar fridge in room for your use. Ample toiletries supplied. Room maintained spotlessly clean, I'm sure we had bed linens changed daily. We did not pre-book breakfast but enjoyed a few early morning meals and other snacks at the restaurant. We would have no hesitation in staying at Yulia Beach Inn again.

We have stayed at the Yulia Beach Inn 6 times in the last 5 years... love this property, especially at the new rooms, the restaurant and the reasonable price. Will stay there again next year.
The only thing I would change is the maintenance on the swimming pool. it gets murky and unattractive after a days use. So we stopped using it. Otherwise excellent all around.

I had to change rooms 5 times over the course of 4 days. The first room was a construction site, the second room was right next to a construction site so I was woken up at 7am in the morning with heavy motor drilling. And then for the last 2 days - the remaining rooms either didn't have AC / water / or electricity. Please stay away from this place. I have stayed in Motels with better infrastructure.

Some room types are smaller than others but value for money it is a great place to stay. Weren't happy with first room we were given so requested to move which was happily sorted when a suitable room became available. Could do with a little whitener thrown in with the towels and sheets but as a long term traveller to Bali doesn't really faze us, figure its just the local water however some people may find it off putting.

The hotel is set in a lovely garden setting which was a surprise as you wouldn't know it looking from the street. The staff were friendly,helpful and efficient. Our daughter and son in law had their wedding anniversary while we were all there and the staff arranged to have their room and a cake decorated. A pleasant surprise for them after a day out.

For $29 per night the hotel needs some renovations. No irons avail at hotel. No tissues in room. Many rooms have strong moth ball odor. Pool area ver small. Good water pressure in my room. Avoid 802, 803, 804. Very busy loud and noisy outside of room. No hand towels avail for bathroom. Restaurant was good.

Circle this hotel . Simply the best in the area.

During this week I inspected 8 hotels within 100 metres of this establishment.some cheaper and some dearer. I am planning to return because
1. It's location similar to the 8
2. The breakfast appeared to superior only 4 seen
3. The size it rated 3 best in size.
4. Grounds ,pool area and cleanliness is streets ahead of the others
5. The linen excellent. Towels,toiletries and amenities replaced daily.
6. Strong Wi-Fi to each room .
7. Tv had 50 channels excellent but attention needs to aerials or digital or booster strength but best value for the money
8. Air conditioner while works well need better

Eating in of an evening is a pleasant surprise . I ate better than 12 restaurants nearby comparing price with price.
I have travelled to bali more than 100 times.

Another lovely stay at Yulia. Disabled friendly hotel. We booked deluxe pool rooms which are great. But downgraded one room to the back of the hotel as it had a lot of local people holidaying and they tend to be very loud. Just needed some peace and quiet The pool is very small as is the hotel. It is more suited for over 30s. And I wouldn’t say it is suited for families with small kids. It is a small hotel and any noise seems to travel throughout the hotel. The cleaning of the rooms is excellent as is the gardening. All staff are lovely and very accommodating. The location is excellent with everything nearby. Short walk to everything in Kuta. Breakfast is fair. Set menu type. The restaurant food is very average. Again this is not a hotel for small children. It was a shame to see the local people overrun the hotel and leave quite a mess everywhere they went. It was a shame for the poor hotel workers who had to clean up after them. Apparently this is the norm for the Christmas/ new year break. Would think they would have a little more respect for there own local hotels. They left fish guts and peanut shells , empty bottles and butts everywhere. They over ran the small pool and made very loud noise around the pool from 6 am till 3 am some nights. Staff should of pulled them up a little. After they left the hotel was it’s usual charming self. This is not a fancy boutique hotel or resort. You are paying for location. Lovely little hotel.

This was our fourth stay at Yulia. We will return again in January. The staff were very helpful, room more than adequate, and they have a very good restaurant.
We arranged for their van to collect us from the airport when we arrived, and as expected, the car was on time and the driver very helpful.

This is a very nice hotel that is a couple of blocks from the beach. The grounds are lush and beautifully manicured. Rooms have comfortable beds and pillows. Nice shower with good pressure. There is enough storage space for clothes (could use a few more hangers), a very cold fridge and a safe in the room. Only con was a sewer smell that started in the bathroom on our last night . Would stay again and recommend to others.
