Overall the hotel was set in lovely grounds but first impressions were poor as the man at reception who greeted us was lacking in any communication skills. He asked us immediately if we wanted spa access, then a coffee machine then finally access to a workable safe (all at further expense) which made check in disappointing. He misdirected us and then didn't offer any assistance to get to our accommodation which was 10 mins away. The room was comfortable but tired and smelt of drains often. Please note that the hotel is situated right next to a stagnate lake so there are mosquitoes everywhere 😬

Overall we had a great time…
The pools are extensive, though a little cold. We were really lucky it was very hot while we were there at the start of June. If it hadn’t been we would have been chilly from the pool. We had access to the spa, including family times where our son was allowed, but again the main spa pool was freezing cold.
The hotel felt fairly quiet, never a challenge to get a lounger.
Our room was very nice, but the air conditioning was totally ineffective. I’m not even sure it worked in the lounge area.
The hotel is beautifully landscaped, but the ponds were almost empty… the upshot was lots of frogs, which were lovely, but it stank from the algae.
Then my biggest gripe - the food. Not very exciting, not much variation even with theme nights. Not always that hot! We arrived to breakfast just after the restaurant opened one morning and the cooked breakfast items were cold already. One night was meant to be Spanish night - and we were excited for more local cuisine, but it was pretty much the same as every other night.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the entertainment crew great - we really enjoyed aquarobics.
Where it is - Colònia - is very beautiful, easy to reach any of it by walking, gorgeous beaches nearby.
One tip - the nearby salt marshes seemed to make the mosquito problem even worse than other parts of Mallorca - take spray! The staff hand out wipes which work for about 5 mins.
We’d go back to Colonia but not this resort.

Breakfast/ Dinner buffet excellent range of foods , definitely worth considering half board as about 1/2 mile walk into main town ( not so easy with young kids) . Pools good though water could have been heated a little more . Would definitely return

The pools were great for the kids, but way too full for normal swimming, I think playing ball inside the pool should be banned. The entertainment stuff was great. The food was very average. There was no kettle in the room. I liked the shuttle to the beach and there is a supermarket on site. The independent restaurant of the hotel has very tasty food. There are loads of mosquitoes, take protecting creams.

we have stayed 5 night with my young families at Blau. We have fantastic time, the stuffs are all amazing and hospitality exceptional.

The place so clean and the garden is amazing. FOOD, drinks and enterainment at night for the kids plus for adults was faboulus. I can not enough to pass gratitudes for the stuff and the whole experiance from everyone.

Thank you! Hope I will visit it again and again. Think of Majorica, think of Blau.

We found the atmosphere quite reserved, which suited us as we wanted a quiet holiday. The local beach was really nice and two bays on there is the much more expansive Es Trenc beach, which was stunning. As a keen swimmer, I noted that the Best Centre 50m training pool was located next to the hotel, which you can use for Euro7 per day.

A lovely quiet resort in Spring time when I visited, great value for money - pleasant and relaxing. Hotel is aimed at families and couples, food is decent buffet selection, staff are friendly. Comfortable and clean rooms, all the basics done very well. Close to miles of unspoiled coastline - the perfect location if you are active.

We stayed x6 nights, very smart and great quality resort. 10 min walk from x3 incredible beaches. 45 minute drive from Palma airport, 30 mins from Cala D'Or, and 1 hour drive to amazing caves! Free access every day to heated spa pools is huge bonus.

Ceoliac / Gluten-Free food was a big factor and concern when booking, but the buffet food and staff were very accommodating and helpful. Buffet labelled well of allergens and chef was accommodating everyday to request things like gluten-free pizza, pasta, bread, chocolate desserts.

Highly recommend this resort and will go again!

Nice resort but average service

My son and I had a good time. The hotel is ok. Although annoying when the door lock is broken and you have to go to the reception 3 times until they realise it is broken and it is not the key. Waiting for technician to come and then to fix it could have been made nicer if they offered us some diversion or anything. Mostly Germans in the hotel. Food and restaurant average.

We really enjoyed the pools and spa facilities. The breakfast and evening meal buffets included in the half board were of a high standard. The kids clubs were good and casual for older children. i wish there had been more tennis as they have so many courts it would have been nice to have had junior tennis clubs.

Perfect if you want a hotel based holiday

Excellent facilities. If you want a hotel based holiday lying on a sun lounger by a pool with everything on hand this is a good bet. It's mainly for families with young children, the buffet breakfast and evening meal on the half board option had lots of choice even for children and was good for hotel food. The complex is very big, from my block to reception was a 6 minute walk. I did see a golf buggy taking people about. The blocks near the pool could suffer from noise from the entertainment stage. It was quieter where I was in block 5 so I guess you could contact the hotel and ask for a quieter block. Lunches in the pizzeria cost €7-15 Euros which could add up if you are a family. To walk into town to restaurants and cafes is an easy but partly unlit at night 10 minute walk or 15 to the beach. The complex is set apart from the town but walkable if you are an adult, a bit more difficult if you arent so active or with litte ones. There is a shuttle bus service to the beach and town all day every half hour, but not in the evening so if you want to eat offsite bear this in mind.

Good facilities but a few niggles

Stayed in the Blau Hotel in June 2017. Hotel is well maintained and has great pools and outdoor facilities, but for us as a young family was let down by a few issues.

We'd chosen the hotel because of its family-friendly credentials, esp. because we wanted creche or mini club facilites for our two-year-old.

Access to balcony (and uncomfortable plastic furniture) only through living room, so no way to go outside while toddler was asleep without disturbing him. Neither of the hotel restaurants had high chairs available. Booster seats were available in the main restaurant, but had no security harness, so again not suitable for toddlers or babies. We discovered that you can hire equipment from an outside company at extra cost (leaflets in reception) and would definitely recommend this.

We tried out the mini club for one morning but it really wasn't able to deal with kids this young, and we weren't comfortable leaving our toddler there. Staff seem to be great with older children, and the kids' clubs for ages 4+ appear popular and well run, but the club for the youngest ones isn't suitable unless your child is pretty self-sufficient (toilet-trained, able to & will remember to get their own drinks etc.)

Finally, mosquitos were terrible - our son was bitten 30-40 times in two nights while in the room and we killed 9 mosquitos in the bathroom on one morning alone. Hotel reckons nothing can be done about them, so take spray, anti-itch stuff and a plug-in.

Nice family hotel

We stayed for 10 nights in a standard double room + an extra bed for our 6 -year old son. We loved the surroundings (nicely landsacped and we loved the fact that the rooms were in different smaller blocks). The buffet was reasonable and it was a very good idea to have 2 sittings so that people could choose their slot (6:30-8pm or 8:30-10pm). The pools were very nice and children friendly (though space was a bit of an issue). It was great to have a free shuttle to two beaches. The staff were generally polite and helpful. The cleaners did a great job cleaning our room. The animation team were brilliant!
We did find the beds in our bedroom very 'mobile' which made reading in bed uncomfortable as the beds kept moving. There was no shower gel when we arrived and we went and bought some and then after 3 days we were given shower gel! We found a cockroach in our room (and also a baby cockroach) and we saw a rat near the fountain right in front of the hotel. Some staff were absolutely lovely whereas others were totally indifferent. Some staff didn't speak any Engish at all,which was surprising given that English speaking guests were quite a large proportion of the guest body (together with German). This meant that there was some miscommunication at times. The spa wasn't well staffed and it was quite difficult to find somebody to book a treatment.

Nice hotel with God facilities. Good food with plenty of choice for all the family. Kids pool really good but hadn't warmed up so very cold for our two year old (we went early May). Staff friendly and attentive. The hotel was popular with German tourists which wasn't a problem apart from the kids club which was largely geared to them so our four year old didn't know what was going on although the entertainment team did speak to her in English to explain at times. The hotel was also used by people looking to cycle a lot but that seems to be the case in a lot of hotels in Mallorca.

This hotel is labeled as a 4 star. It's hardly a 3 star. The room is small and furniture is not comfortable. The spa facilities are lousy and I had the worst massage (rub down) and worst pedicure of any resort I've stayed. We missed our flight due to weather and the hotel kept our money from two nights we missed and did nothing to accommodate any service. Also the food is not good. One restaurant and it's buffet style for all meals. Mostly the same thing every night. So happy to leave and have a decent meal. Won't be going back there.

Second visit - just as lovely.

We returned again to find all facilities are just as fine as our first. The grounds are immaculately kept, the rooms all have balconies and you can sit out even in February. I swam outside from the beautiful relaxing wellness centre pool. The breakfast and buffet evening meal have plenty of choice and you can be as picky as you want. But what was most impressive was that guest services remembered us from last year and we felt like we were visiting old friends. I shall return again, for sure.

From check in to check out the staff were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble! We arrived early and our room was ready; daily maid service was efficient. Pool and spa facilities were great with children being allowed in the spa twice a day; the kids really enjoyed this. Food was of an excellent standard with lots of choice at both breakfast and evening meal. We had an early flight home and staff allowed us early entry to breakfast. Reception printed off our boarding cards. Free Wi-Fi. Gym was adequate but very warm!!! Would recommend this resort and will hopefully be back.

This hotel was family friendly and the grounds were beautiful! However, it was far away from many activities and restaurants. The room was clean, but the bed was hard and the pillow was so thin! The staff was efficient, but not very friendly. The food in the dining area resembled the buffet of a cruise ship and was quite good. The reception was not helpful nor accommodating!

We stayed for a week in the Blau Colonia Sant Jordi hotel from 8th of September. The room was quite basic for the 4 star hotel and the bed was really hard. Food was nice but not much going on around in the area. The beach is close and really nice not more than 10 minutes walk. The staff in the hotel mainly spoke german as there was lots german visitors in the hotel. The best thing about the hotel was the wellnes centre we used the sauna with indoor swmming pool. A few times and was really nice. Will advice to book a transfer if you arriving late as we paid €70 for a taxi from the airport as there was no public buses late in the evening the last one from Palma to coonia is at 20:15, but the buses from the airport to palma are quite frequent and reliable and only €2.5 one way.

Overall, had a great time. The facilities were very good. Food was not fantastic, but acceptable. The only major gripe was the comedy aircon system. Each room had an aircon control panel that boasted temperatures as low as 10 deg !!! In fact the only cooling came from the roof fan. No cooling whatsoever. Checked with other residents who confirmed the same in their rooms. Not a big deal, but it did get a bit HOT !!

Hotel entertainment can be a little annoying but there is another bar so you can choose to take it or leave it. Very few english guests but we found that quite nice!

Good for family trips and activities

Although the buffet is very crowded, even in two session mode, the food is of good quality. The service is good in general, cleanliness is ok. The cash deposit policy for pool towels is a bit cumbersome, considering that otherwise you can add everything on your room bill. The rooms are not particularly nicely furnished and look a bit worn in places, even the bathrooms which had been renovated lately. The main problem is that when you travel with kids, the sofa-bed in the main room takes up all the space during the whole stay and you have no place to read or watch TV comfortably. And don't forget to ask for a topper on your bed, as the mattresses are extremely hard. All in all it fulfilled our requirements, the kids were well taken care of, they liked the kid's activities and the nearby beaches and we enjoyed some relaxation in a nice park-like surrounding.

This hotel has euro disco music and entertainment on an outdoor stage from 8-11.30pm. If you like Agadoo etc blaring out rather than a peaceful drink on your balcony or by the pool then this is the hotel for you! The beds are so hard it is impossible to relax on them and the pillows are flat and grubby. Food is mediocre buffet slop generic grilled fish and meat with salad bread/cheese every night. Sant jordi is a lovely place but very dominated by german tourists. Hotel pools are nice but need a good clean out lots of mildew visible on the tiles beneath the surface. All in all I would avoid this place if you want any sleep at all or any sense of relaxation.

A decidedly German experience in Mallorca

As the title reads, this hotel offers a very German experience in Mallorca. Both the hotel staff and the guests (we stayed for a couple days in early August) seemed to be about 98% German. The staff spoke German first, then Spanish... and when we asked for Engles, por favor, they spoke English well also. The breakfast buffet was good, but at 10:30 on the dot, the staff was cleaning up and quickly asking pepople to finish up and leave (which was off-putting, and the only negative for the service). The pool area was full of kinder (children) so this is a good choice for a German family - and it's pretty close to a beautiful beach, Es Trenc, with soft sand and clear water (as well as a nude portion of the beach too). At the hotel, our main complaint was that we felt removed from the Spanish culture of Mallorca. The beautiful cove beach of Cala Llombards is more than worth the trip (15-minute drive), and a late lunch or dinner at the fishing village of Cala Figuera would be a great choice as well.

Hôtel bien placé et calme. Les repas sont excellents, il y a du choix et c'est varié.
La hauteur de la piscine intérieure est à 1m60, c'est très embêtant pour les personnes de petite taille (1,30m serait bien mieux pour en profiter plainement). Du coup, nous en avons pas beaucoup profité, c'est dommage.
Le parking à 15e par jour est cher alors qu'il y a de la place dans la rue.

Das Personal war super freundlich. Leider war der Wellnessbereich lächerlich. Von drei Jakuzis, war nur einer warm, die anderen beiden wurden als kalt und mittelwarm verkauft. Es waren auch nur zwei Saunen ansatzweise warm, die anderen drei waren kalt. Der \"Ruheraum\" war ungemütlich, eng kalt und absolut nicht einladend. Generell war der ganze wellnessbereich sehr klein und kalt. Dadurch, dass nicht alles funktioniert hat, waren die halbwegs funktionierenden sachen überfüllt. Dafür sollte man für den wellnessbereich 10€pro tag zahlen.. lohnt soch ansolut nicht. Am Innenpool waren auch viel zu wenig Liegen. Das Zimmer war ok, wobei die Toilette im Zimmer, lediglich hinter einer Glastür gewöhnungsbedürftig war. Das Frühstück war gut, das Obst war lecker, es gab eine große Auswahl. Auf Wunsch auch glutenfreie Brötchen. Nur der Kaffee war ungenießbar. Wir werden auf keinen Fall wieder kommen, haben uns aber eine schöne Zeit außerhalb des Hotels gemacht und die Umgebing erkundet.

Negativ: Safe kostet 5 €/Tag, keine Handtücher im Fitnessstudio, Massenabfertigung im Restaurant. Kreisförmiges Bufett sehr unpraktisch -führt zu unnötigen Wartezeiten. Beim Frühstück fast unmöglich, sich ein Omelett ohne mehr als 10 Minuten Wartezeit, zubereiten zu lassen.Bedienungen teilweise überfordert und etwas unfreundlich. Kaffee und Cappuccino miserabel. Restaurantinnnenbereich sehr laut. Außenbereich sehr schön, aber meistens schon belegt. Die zusätzliche Gebühr für Poolhandtuchtausch ist ungewöhnlich und unverschämt.

Sehr schöne Anlage, gut gelegen, sehr schöne moderne Zimmer mit Blick auf den tollen Garten.

Das Einzige was verbessert werden kann ist der Betrieb im Restaurant/Speisesaal. Wenn man um 18h kommt ist es prima, aber ab 21h hat man das Gefühl, dass um einen herum schon alles abgebaut wird und um 21.30h fühlt man sich wirklich nicht mehr willkommen.
Teilweise ist es auch extrem laut und voll.

Très agréable !

Cet hotel resort est très agréable et idéalement situé pour visiter Colonia ( en soit pas vraiment d'intérêt) et proche arrêt de bus pour circuler.
Chambre propre et confortable, cafetiere et mini bar très appreciables !
Bien arboré avec plan,ideal piur les familles avec enfants mais avec plein d'avantages pour les parents :)
Buffet petit dejeuner et diner, variés et bons ! Notre garçon de 7 ans s'est vraiment régalé ! Le personnel est très gentil surtout le monsieur du pool bar ( vraiment adorable )
Mitigé sur le personnel du restaurant face a la piscine ( une seule fois à notre arrivée et nous n'avons pas eu envie d'y revenir )
Espace spa et piscine interieure bien sympa et chauffée.
Beaucoup d'Allemands comme partout sur les iles Espagnoles qui souvent nont pas les mêmes valeurs de respect et de savoir vivre que nous mais nous n'étions pas en pleine saison donc c'était supportable !
Nous recommandons sans hésiter !

Schönes Familienhotel mit wunderschönem Garten und Poolbereich. Wenn man Sport liebt ist dieses Hotel Ideal. Ein Top Schwimm Center ist um die Ecke. Man hat tolle Möglichkeiten zum Joggen in der Umgebung und es hat einen guten Fitnessraum mit Aussenbereich und Sandplätze um Tennis zu Spielen.

Very nice property. Rooms are quite new and clean. My only disappointment: i paid 180eur x night and i would expect at least 1 complimentary bottle of water x night in my room. NO you have to provide yourself for water in the room. Nonsense.

Wir waren als Familie Blau Colonia Sant Jordi im Urlaub. Die Zimmer sind schön und sehr sauber. Leider ist das Hotel ein Massenbetrieb. Dies fängt morgens mit dem Kampf um die besten liegen an und geht im Speisesaal weiter. Alles stürmt rein, wenn die Türen aufmachen und der Geräuschpegel ist unglaublich. Hunderte von Urlaubern laufen mit Tellern rum. Es gibt sehr wenige Plätze auf der Terrasse, wo man wenigstens ein bisschen Ruhe hat.

Eine wunderschöne Anlage, welche zum Verweilen einlädt. Ein Nachteil ist die schlechte Zimmerkühlung. Die Klimaanlagen sind veraltet und die Isolationsfähigkeit der Zimmer ziemlich schlecht. So wird es im Sommer ziemlich warm in den Zimmern oder man hat nur Klimaluft welche nicht gerade sehr hygienisch ist.

Leider war bei den Zufahrtstrassen überall Baustelle. Es war sehr mühsam zum Hotel zu kommen. Eine Info vorab wäre gut gewesen. Wir müssten die Rezeption ohne Navi finden. Sonst schönes Hotel. Gerne wieder.

Excellent séjour, même si on peut faire mieux

Très bon séjour dans l'ensemble. Personnel très serviable et faisant des efforts pour comprendre et se faire comprendre.
Petits bémols: les WC dans la salle de bains, pas de piscine couverte chauffée mais un espace sauna payant, très peu d'activités en accès libre. Par contre, spectacle tous les soirs avec de très bons artistes.

Great Expectations Marred by Mediocrity at Blau Co

Upon my recent stay at Blau Colònia Sant Jordi in Majorca, I felt a mix of emotions which I believe future guests ought to be aware of before making their booking. While there were several aspects that genuinely impressed us, certain areas left us feeling rather disappointed.

Our foremost gripe revolved around the food at the buffet. Specifically, the meat served left a lot to be desired. Although not undercooked, the dishes simply did not meet the expectations one would have for a hotel of this caliber. The taste, presentation, and variety were all subpar, which made our dining experiences rather uninspiring.

The pool area too posed another concern. To secure a spot next to the pool, one had to wake up with the sun and mark a sunshade with a towel. This practice made pool-side relaxation feel more like a competition, which did not resonate well with our holiday spirit.

Adding to the stress was the apparent fatigue amongst the staff members. They seemed to be working excessively long hours which undoubtedly affected their energy levels and hence, the quality of service. While it is understandable, it did impact our overall experience in a negative way.

The resort's location is worth noting as it is somewhat remote from Palma. This could be a drawback for some, but the proximity to an expansive beach could make up for it, offering a delightful space to unwind and enjoy the sun.

However, it wasn't all disappointments and grievances. The hotel does deserve credit for their

Das Essen ist sehr gut und die Anlage sehr gepflegt. Die schönen Strände sind relativ rasch erreichbar und die Kinderanimation ist phantastisch.
Die Betten könnten etwas komfortabler sein und leider ist die Anlage auch ziemlich ringhörig.
Das Personal im Innenpool ist für meinen Geschmack etwas zu unfreundlich und kinderfeindlich.

• Personnel agréable (en particulier l'équipe d'animation et du spa).
• Équipements variés (tennis, spa, terrain foot / volley, salle de musculation, espace fitness / yoga, 3 piscines, tir à l'arc...)
• Animations qualitatives, pour les adultes comme les enfants ; en particulier sur la période d'Halloween
• Cadre agréable et calme : très bien paysagé, retiré de la ville, faisant face à des marais salants et à 600m de la plage.
• Les bâtiments 1 à 3 ont été rénovés depuis 2018 mais, à date (novembre 2022), pas les bâtiments 4 et 5 qui restent de bonne facture mais offrent un style plus \"années 80-90\".
• Nous avons été surclassés, le spa fut gratuit lors de notre dernier jour et le personnel des bars comme des 2 restaurants ne pousse pas à la consommation.
• La situation de l'hôtel permet de visiter aisément toute l'île - en particulier si vois louez une (petite) voiture (très satisfaits de Wiber sur ce point, au passage) - tout en étant pas entassé à Palma et en profitant d'un écrin de verdure.

Die Dauerberieselung durch die Musik der Pool-Bar war für uns nicht unbedingt entspannend.

Es war eigentlich alles super und sauber. Personal sehr freundlich. Einzig die Zimmerausstattung ist etwas spärlich, z.b. mussten wir für einen Wasserkocher fragen. Die Lage ist etwas ab vom Schuss, deshalb ist ein Auto aus unserer Sicht ein grosser Vorteil wenn msn die Anlage verlassen möchte.

Hotel grande y con muy buenas instalaciones. Cuenta con 5 bloques de habitaciones. El restaurante grande y con variado buffet. Las habitaciones amplias, aunque la decoración y la limpieza podría ser algo mejor. Muy agradable el personal, sobre todo nuestras camareras Amanda y Josefina, increíble su atención y amabilidad en todo momento. Sin duda alguna repetiríamos.

Das blau ist eine wunderschöne Anlage in Nähe des Naturstrandes Es Trenc.wer fußfaul ist,für den gibt es auch einen shuttleservice zum Strand.wir sind jetzt zum 9.Mal in colonia und zum zweiten Mal im blau gewesen.wer Ruhe liebt,ist in diesem Ort genau richtig.das Hotel ist eine Clubanlage und somit muss man auch mit vielen Kindern rechnen...einfach die zweite essenszeit wählen und alles ist gut...wir kommen immer und immer wieder gerne zurück

Hotel super agradable, instalaciones muy rbien, precio ajustado, pistas de tenis, razonable el precio de alargar la estancia 4 horas.
Lo peor, que cobren a parte las bebidas (precio poco razonable) en las comidas, al menos el agua tendría que entrar gratuitamente. Y las dos horas seguidas con recepcion cerrada en el SPA, por lo que no te facilitan toallas ni nada.

Wellnessbereich sehr empfehlenswert, das Essen war sehr abwechslungsreich und lecker.
Insgesamt ist die Anlage sehr gepflegt, wunderschöne Parkanlage zum Entspannen.
Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt und würden das Hotel wieder auswählen.
