This morning I turned on the hot water in the shower to get it warm before I got in, well it was warm, so I attempted to get it hotter, but instead it got bloody COLDER, I'm almost 80 and well past needing a cold shower at 7.30in the morning
I notified the owner when checking out and \"oh no pressure \" I said \"No,no hot water \"
I even presented him with the receipt for the deposit for an extra $100.00 security deposit and wad given the reply that American Express would reverse the transaction, I am definitely not happy with the business. I asked about breakfast, the reply was none available if I want meals to go out down theroad and up the hill plenty up the main street, No I can't recommend this motel.

I dont usually leave reviews , but thought i had to here. The reception guy i give my bond money to i never received it back , so i contacted him 4 days later he said do i have my receipt i said no its in the room , he says i have to wait a week before i can recieve it because i lost the receipt, its been a week now still nothing.
Im a qualified pestcontroller i travel around Australia for work and have stayed at many different places over the years the room i stayed in was by far the worst i have experienced for bed bugs , whole place needs a bomb to get rid of them.
I now have to bomb my place at home as bed bugs are hard to get rid , i could feel them instantly soon as laying in bed , so i put towels over the blankets and slept on them.
I wouldnt recommend this place even for a dog to stay at , absolutely terrible experience.
The reception guy that was there didnt get his name but was of inidan appearance was rude and said the bond money would be put into my bank soon i left , nothing went in had to chase the money up still no money and its been a week now. Ill be heading in there on tuesday to get my money back , i have contacted Australian Competition and Consumer Commission as my father works there about the health and safety of people staying there as bed bugs can cause bad infections to people , so this should speed up the process of someome coming to check this place out .

I could clearly hear the neighbour's TV through the wall while I was trying to go to sleep.
There was no lock on the inside of the door which means anyone with the key could let themselves in so I'm incredibly unlikely to book here again for that safety reason alone.

The bed was comfy, but couldn't be sure the sheets had been replaced since the last guests.
Lack of room amenities - a tea towel was provided, but no dishwashing liquid; no toaster; 1 teaspoon; not enough soap, etc.
This place used the excuse of COVID not to replace towels, etc.
We had to pay a $100 deposit for our key when we checked in, but had difficulty getting it back when checking out.
We did have a view of the Hawkesbury.

Surprisingly for a low budget hotel the bed is comfy , service is good.
The air con for heating is loud, though and turns off and on for temperature control.
Great views from our room , shower was good pressure. Served us well for the purpose we needed (an overnight stay).
I would stay here again.

The sheets appeared to not have been changed. Crumpled, with fluff and hair, looked slept in. Doona cover stained and grubby. Laid my bath towel on the bed to sleep on… Didn’t get in till late so had no choice, glad I didn’t have my wife with me. Bad mould in shower, like no one had cleaned it in a long time. Just really dirty unfortunately. But somewhere to stay for the night so better than nothing. Just want to bring this up as it was a bit of a concern.
Pillows were comfy, and pillow covers appeared clean. Mattress itself was actually very comfortable… just didn’t want to get “into” bed.
Really nice view of the river out the balcony.
Not normally one to leave negative reviews, but feel others should be made aware. Very dated- but that was confused with grubbiness. With a bit of care and a clean up, would be a suitable overnighter.

Based on other reviews I had low expectations but, considering the low price and excellent location, I thought it was pretty good. The place is about 15 years overdue for a refurb, with everything a bit shabby and worn, hence the budget price. However the location, looking across the river from a balcony, was great. It was an excellent base for my few days of exploring the history and landscapes of the Hawkesbury.
One more thing: Windsor is full of little plaques attached to items and places of historical interest. I suggest the air conditioner in my room be recommended for a Heritage listing, as a good example of an ancient technology. Fortunately the weather was lovely and I was able to leave the door to my private balcony open all night.

Our room was unsafe and dirty. The aircon electrics were hanging out of the unit (240volts exposed) and was extremely dirty. The carpet seemed to have blood stains. Tea towel had holes. Balcony table and chairs very dirty. We just could not stay due to the above. Male receptionist was reluctant to help and referred us to contacting the owner the next day. I called the owner the next day and she was extremely rude, un-cooperative and refused to refund us. They stole our money. Dont stay there. Don't be fooled by photos on website.

Others parking in front of me and blocking me in, too bad if there was an medical emergency, no one really cared not even the male receptionist. Upon entry i had to fill in a form providing car registration details, apparently others never filled that in. And the police should not have to be notified. The entire premises floor has never been vacuumed for a very long time, dusty and dirty, room 17 had food stains on the brick wall, never been cleaned off, dust inside the wine glasses, A black bug was found on one of the bed sheets, dirty unwashed blankets with hair on them. The bed covers shabby with blood stains and tear holes. Mould in the building, you can smell it.Towels are thin and shabby, frayed edges and makeup stains. Rubbish at the front around the trees. this place is disgusting, nothing good to say about it, do not waste your money here. Building is in poor condition from the inside. Many others were also complaining at the reception, nothing was being done about it.

Look I am not going to be overly critical because you get what you pay for. The check-in process was very simple and quick so no issues there. Onto the room and then it was evident from entering that the bed sheets did not appear to be overly fresh and it appeared that the bedspreads were thrown from the door onto the beds in a very unprofessional manner and presentation, there were no towels at all but they did arrive about 45 minutes later, the benches were a bit dirty, and finally the air conditioner did not work - fortunately it wasn’t a hot balmy Windsor night. Overall it was just satisfactory but geez guys I think you could lift your game a bit.

The reception staff were indifferent to my needs. The bed lights and desk light weren’t working. I asked about it and was told that I could leave a note for the following day. When I said that I would need these lights, it was found there was a blown fuse.
The mattress in the room sagged and was so uncomfortable. One of the towels had a hole in it.
There was mould on the shower curtain. The one wine glass was dirty. The sensor lights in the hallway downstairs were full of bugs and the light fitting had bugs coated around the outside.
The area of Windsor was lovely. If the motel put in a little effort it would be lovely. But it was like they couldn’t care less.

My daughter and I away for the weekend

My daughter and I stayed there for two nights. The TV remote did not work and I complained various times. I was told to use the buttons on the side of the TV. Really not acceptable. The exhaust fan in the bathroom was scary and had no cover. On the upside the location is fantastic. The owners have done nothing to upgrade the hotel in years as I have stayed here various times. It is a shame because it has so much potential. The driveway needs fixing as the front and back of your car gets smashed everytime you drive over it. The carpets are so worn it not even funny. Such a shame it has a lovely outlook over the river. I can say they have fixed up the garden out the back which looks so much better.

Arrived late due to road blocked (car crash) was charged $20 extra for checking in late. Got to our room party of 4 only 2 towels. The gentleman who checked me in was lovely and gave great directions for places to eat.
The room was a good layout but the cleanliness let it down.
The inside of the shower curtain was putrid.
The outside of the fridge had spill stains.
The tea towel that the cups were placed on was dirty with a bit of food on it.
No tissues and holder was quite dusty.
Inside of kettle didn’t look too good, especially when you could wipe some of the brown stuff away.

Extremely disappointed with this property. Mould covered bathroom ceiling. Cobwebs hanging from one corner to the next. So dusty it set off allergies in us. Don’t think the bar fridge has ever been cleaned. It had spills all through it. Mattresses would have to be in excess of 30yrs old, all sunken in. Then the rear of the property overlooking the lake is all either dead or overgrown & dilapidated.

I checked in at seven pm than went to dinner across the road. When I returned to my room at ten pm I discovered it had not been serviced from the previous night. No sheets on the main bed, dirty glasses and no towels. Too tired to ho through the rigmarole of contacting the night manager I slept on the single bed. No offers of compensation the next day, never again. I’ll pay the extra hundred to go to the Sebel.

We stay here regularly and the property is going downhill. The only reason we stay here is because it is so convenient to everything. The bath towels are an absolute disgrace - grey and very thin. The balcony has not been cleaned in I don't know how long and the gardens would look so nice if someone attended to them. This place is extremely overpriced for the condition that it is in. It is such a great location please do some work on it.

I have to state from the outset that due to a mix uo in my behalf I arrived 7 days early.

It was all downhill from there.

The receptionist was very surly but found s room for me. It cost me $20 for him to spend 60 seconds on his keyboard to acieve that. A pretty good hourly rate to help a customer out.

I went down to my roiom and opened cupboard to find some coffee onky to find it was jam packed with empty drink cans, beer bottles and take away food containers. Back up to see surky man and was told he would get the cleaner on to it. This was at 2.30 pm with check in being from 2 pm onwards.

I told him that the room should have been ready as I had first arrived at 10 am which gave him 4 hours to ensure the room was ready for occupation.

The towels were grubby, the room was grubby, and the outdoor area would have looked over the river, IF the grass in front if the area had been cut to at least knee high.

Do yourself a favour and stay at the mitel across the road.

The check in experience was terrible, the guy on the desk was very rude & very demanding & wanted to know personal information that as a Hotel is not required.
He did not inform me of the many stairs that were needed to climb to my room, I asked what was the difference between the deluxe & the standard he could not answer, so I asked again he said the water view I replied \"both rooms have water view listed on your page\" I did not get the room I paid extra for. I asked for internet password, he said give me your credit card you pay, I walked off.

Room I was given wasn't as per booking. It had a double bed instead of a queen size bed, and the air conditioner didn't work.
Complained to the manager, who did give me the room that I booked.
But I still had to move all my gear again, and the manager said that all his beds were queen size, when they clearly are not.
The new room was as expected, but there is a reel need for a complete renovation. The bathroom basin was only just hanging on the wall.

Upon arrival there was a not very customer in the reception who had been given a very dirty room and the man wouldn't give her a refund. I just sat back and waited to check in. We liked the fact that it was within walking distance to town. We stayed 3 nights, towels were not changed once, not game to turn air con on due to dust, exhaust fan in en-suite mouldy, cups needed washing before use, no cutlery, mattress very lumpy, TV remote not working properly, house maids entering room without knocking (to change bin only), out of date newspapers in draws. Would not return!

Guy at reception is creepy. There were 2 cockroaches in our room & the air conditioner was very old and noisy. Bed was very comfortable though and the porch was nice.

The mattress needs replacing old and very uncomfortable.
The fridge was on but not cold and the door was open on arrival.

Offers Foxtel channel but never worked

And there bathroom cleaning needs more attention to detailed as old soap was left and smelled

Lovely little hotel overlooking the river. Nice and handy for the town of Windsor so easy to walk in for the evening.
Sadly I hadn’t realized that because I booked through ebookers, I didn’t have free WiFi included.....which other patrons did.
Comfortable and quiet room. Very comfy beds. A/C a bit noisy.
Owners were always on hand to help out and are fabulous. Can’t fault them.
