If I could rate this hotel minus, I would do so. It is disgraceful that such a sub-par room is sold at all, much less for the price that is being charged. Staff were lovely and attempted to help, but no offer of an upgrade into a decent room. Carpets were beyond awful. It looked like someone had used the carpet as a toilet, and smelt that way too. Bathroom was beyond dated and grout was filthy. I will never, ever stay here again. Lift your game and provide a room that fits its description

Only thing was in the room i was in, it didnt seem possible to pay for a movie to watch, or chromecast, which was a bit annoying. Only had normal tv it seemed. I was therefore really impressed with the Metro Line near the hotel (which operated late at the turn of the year) as well as the hotel itself. The room was nice with a good mini bar and breakfast was great. The hotel also had a pool which I didn't get chance to use.
The only negative was that I wasn't able to have lunch in the hotel when I arrived on New Year's Eve as they had already begun to prepare for the evening.

Unfortunately this could be a great place to stay but the hotel room is out dated. The plumbing needs major attention. The TV needs updating and add more channels. The bathroom is a bathtub and not friendly to enter. The shower curtain/screen looked old -dirty and had a band aid stuck to it.

Good welcome, quick check-in. Room was average-size, a little dated, but comfortable. Bathroom desperately needs refurbishment. See pics - stains in the tub, cracked soap dish, shower curtain dirty, bath mat broken and covered in mould. The last two points are simple & cheap fixes that would hugely improve the appearance before renovations are undertaken. Pool area pleasant, decent sized pool. Loud pipes, I think maybe someone was filling a bath and it was audible above TV. Also, hairdryer noise was loud, some better sound-proofing internally would be good, but no road noise which was great given the main road nearby. Parking $15/night which was not mentioned anywhere. Did not get to eat in the restaurant. Pleasant service, probably a bit overpriced considering the tired rooms.

The free parking onsite is what really sets this hotel apart from the rest. There’s no hassle to look or pay for parking-it really is one less thing to worry about. The shower in a tub is outdated and the shower curtain needs some cleaning. Felt gross to the touch when showering. Other than that the room was spacious and clean, the bed was super soft and comfortable and breakfast was great! Eggs and hash browns were perfect. Would definitely book again in the future.

There is an Italian restaurant in the hotel and is very expensive. $30.47 for one person for an average breakfast. I paid $25 for 2 people earlier in the week at the Novotel Darling Harbour. The pizza $25 was terrible. Made on what appeared to be store bought pre-made dough which did not rise. Very poor for an Italian Restaurant. $6 for a Coke. The pasta was good but $33 for a plate. No lunch options. There is a Coffee Club across the road for a better breakfast. A 10-minute walk to a shopping village has a lot more food options including a Pizza and pasta place for less $$'s. Plenty of parking.

The actual property itself doesnt have a rydges sign so it wasnt obvious driving through isnt great when youre not familiar with the area.
The check in process was fine. Going to the lift, theyre both so loud and outdated it seems neglected our children were afraid of the noise it made each time. We felt fine before entering the room. Upon entering I could see the room is dusty and my son and I have asthma and immediately started getting triggered. We were there for my sons birthday and he ended up sick once there sneezing and coughing alot. I was wheezy the whole weekend, I felt fine prior. The room was ok but dustyyyyy and the vents in the bathroom and main area were so dusty. There is no windows so we had to have the airconditioner on.
Once we lay on the beds we were all getting itchy so it didnt feel good.
I was looking forward to a weekend away to enjoy and those things unfortunately spoiled our stay.

The check in process was fine. Going to the lift, theyre both so loud and outdated it seems neglected our children were afraid of the noise it made each time. We felt fine before entering the room. Upon entering I could see the room is dusty and my son and I have asthma and immediately started getting triggered. We were there for my sons birthday and he ended up sick once there sneezing and coughing alot. I was wheezy the whole weekend, I felt fine prior. The room was ok but dustyyyyy and the vents in the bathroom and main area were so dusty. There is no windows so we had to have the airconditioner on.
Once we lay on the beds we were all getting itchy so it didnt feel good.
I was looking forward to a weekend away to enjoy and those things unfortunately spoiled our stay.

Hotel is very tired and rundown inside and out. Outside, grounds in poor condition. Brick paths black in some areas or only partly cleaned. Carpark bitumen has large potholes. Dents, scrapes, and chips in walls and woodwork just left as is. Inside, carpet in hall (level4) looks like original. So thin and worn, is splitting apart at seams. Many stains. Rooms need a major makeover. Carpet old and stained. Unpleasant odour throughout. Aircon control not working. Bathroom basin cracked. Limited powerpoints.
