Lovely clean 2 bedroom studio our family of 6 for 1 night. Check in a breeze, the place is away from the hustle and bustle of Taupo but easy enough to walk in or drive if need be. Fish n Chip shop and 4 square across the road anyway as well. Kids enjoyed the spa bath. Would stay again for a larger family.

We booked for 6 and the room wasn’t really suitable for 6. The sofa bed was super uncomfortable, creaked a lot and was stained. There wasn’t enough cutlery and plates for 6 (they did bring more when asked). If we were 4 it would have been good but for what we paid for 6 people, it wasn’t great.

We were lucky to secure this wonderful room at the last minute. Assuming it was a cancellation due to Ironman going on down the street. The room was comfortable with a nice bed and shower and a kitchenette. It was perfect for a 1 night stay!

The staff does the best they can, but this hotel is in need of an upgrade. Even just getting new beds and bedding would go a long way. In the evenings there were ants and one hut (maybe a beetle?) later that night. Request a room on a higher floor if you don’t want risk of that. It didn’t feel clean to me due to all this, even though it was cleaned up. I didn’t like staying here and wouldn’t do so again. Location was good though- even without having a car. 15 minute walk from bus stop, and city scooter system in town was helpful.
