Booked a room 7 months in advance, was given a completely different room upon check-in, of lesser value. Wasn’t told this was going to be the case during check-in, was told the a staff member that nothing could be done as there were no rooms available.
Towels and bath mat were stained and mold in the shower, was very disappointing.

WORST Experience ever. Air conditioning was not working and we couldn’t sleep for 2 nights. Hotel staff was not helpful. Phone from hotel room didn’t work either. Carpet flooring has water marks several places. This is worst than staying in 2 star motel. I would stay away from Mantra after this experience.

On your website it states the studio room has either two singles or a king when in actual fact they only do queens in the studios.
Check-in was slow and after requesting a late check out and it being approved house keeping knocked on our door questioning us why we had not checked out had we had it approved and if we would be using the whole time.
The room was dusty carpet not vacuumed properly lamp shades were bent in and not on straight the bed was a good 10 years of squeaking when we rolled over and the bathroom has lots of mould.
The over appearance of the place was dated dinghy and not well up kept.
Our level had a strong smell of curry coming from a room that went through the whole floor and our room.
The price we paid was way to much and we won’t be back

Our dinner was ruin, when the staff member was looking after his own race but did not serve us our drink, as we waited for the cool drink after walking in a 40 degrees hot day. But the indian doesn't have a clue of common sense or Australia way of life.
They hired cheap people so the service will be cheap

The room was very unclean , old and neglected . There was rust and mould shadows in the shower and the carpets were unclean. No housekeeping and lack of staff across the entire hotel . We were waiting for breakfast and waited twenty minutes for a staff member to be in sight in the restaurant and reception desk . There were others waiting and ringing the phone numbers with no answer .
Lifts were dirty , glass in lifts looked filfthy. The pool area was unclean and the pool was not clean either . Would never stay here again .

Have stayed at the Mantra Parramatta multiple times over the last few years. Its our first choice of place to stay when travelling to Sydney. Close to public transport, only a short train ride to Central station & the price is much better value than anywhere in the CBD. It's a place where every single staff member I've interacted with have been fantastically helpful & pleasant. Some rooms show some age but are clean, comfortable & have everything you need. This is the place I tell anyone who asks to stay at, we'll definitely be back!

Firstly i previously called to ask the height for the parking. Was told 2.5mtrs. Get there sign says 2.7mtrs. Our vehicle id 2.3 metres. Why then did we hit one of those heightswinging bars? Also the breakfast said fried eggs on the sign but it was scrambled eggs that were barely warm and the bacon was stone cold. Also it never stated in the advertisement that the shower was over the bath and that makes it hard for someone with limited mobility. The bed was quite hard and the pillows were worse. Definatly would not stay here again. 2.5mtrs.

I had a wonderful stay this weekend. The Mantra Hotel at Parramatta, was very clean and well-maintained, with rooms that felt fresh and comfortable. The location is excellent—just a short walk to all the main shops and restaurants, which made everything very convenient. What really stood out was the fantastic customer service. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. Overall, a great experience and I would happily stay here again!

The service from staff was friendly and efficient. The room was clean and presented nicely. The Wifi was fast, and the hotel is located in a place that is easy to get to and also easy to get to where you need to be.

However, some aspects of the property need work. The hallway leading to the room had carpets that looked like hangovers from the 1980s. The bathroom was a bit old, with a shower curtain over a bath. The bed was a bit too soft for my taste.

Stay was decent, while hotel is dated&needs upgrade as bathroom uses shower curtain, carpet and bed were tired due to much use. Room was spacious&very functional and fully equipped with kitchen hot plates, appliances, utensils and washing machine/dryer. However Sofa bed was broken and shower curtain needed a change but all staff were great and catered beyond with all requests. Breakfast buffet was lovely and prepaid is $24 instead the $30 walk in price. The fantastic reception, dining, security, housekeeping staff and the convenient location are the winning factor making one overlook the hotel flaws.

Parking was great at $20 per night with access straight to room floor. Pool and gym were decent but we had no time to use them.

My partner arrived at the hotel only to be told by the receptionist that his room had been cancelled by a third party who we never even booked through. It was 10pm and he was left there with no room, receptionist was rude as I could hear her whilst I was on the phone with him trying to help resolve the situation. I never received any emails or any other form of communication to say the room had been cancelled. It took over half an hour to sort it out, I had people from Expedia trying to call reception as that’s what the lady at reception asked us to do, she didn’t answer any of their calls. I’m really disappointed and will definitely not be booking this hotel again. I said I had proof of the booked room and she said even if I sent proof she couldn’t do anything because it was cancelled on her end. Not happy

Very disappointed with the hotel and service here. Would not stay again and would not recommend. The only positive is that the hotel is very close to the train station for ease of travel. Hotel quite run down. Towel rack in shower was covered in rust. Service was non existent. First room we were given the main light didnt work. We were moved rooms.
We requested for our room to be made up and it was not. Tried calling housekeeping, then reception and the concierge and no one answered the phones. Went downstairs and informed reception the room wasnt made up and we requested new towels. Nothing was done to address this. Our rate inclided breakfast- we went to get breakfast day 1 and were told to take a seat and then staff left and no one came and told us about breakfast or how to order it or where it was. Very disappointing experience.

Exposed wires in lamp (that was already plugged in & turned on before we had entered the room) that had a red warning label stating that it was dangerous and not to use it. Hob nob broken. Wardrobe handle broken. Room quite shabby. The owners need to do a revamp of the rooms. Carpets are filthy. But property is in a great position and staff really nice. Communication with the hotel was excellent when trying to arrange parking, it is very close (250m) to Parramatta train station so made getting to Qudos arena very convenient and the room was above expectations.
We stayed in the spa apartment and found it to be a very large room & bathroom which was excellent given how small Sydney hotel rooms normally are!! Bed was comfortable & road noise etc wasn’t too bad (although we were on level7)

Our stay at the Mantra Parramatta was very pleasant. The bed was comfy and our room was super clean. The breakfast buffet was excellent with bacon, hashbrowns, and scrambled eggs available everyday. There was also a different cooked vegetable each day (we got to have mushrooms, tomato, and baked beans). There were many other food options available everyday at breakfast including a range of fruit, breads, cereals, and sweets. The housekeeping, kitchen, and reception staff were all very friendly. The pool and spa were extremely clean and perfect temperatures, respectively. The location was also great as public transport and a six story Westfield (shopping mall) is just around the corner from the hotel. The only problem we had during our stay was the air-conditioning in our room did not work properly (it was not cool enough). Overall great stay! If the air-conditioning improved, we would stay again.

The lady at the front desk was not very hospitable, I arrived late with my kids and requested a cot. She stated that the hotel doesn’t have any cots- she didn’t want to get the cot herself as housekeeping was closed. She then rolled her eyes at the other staff member because she had to make the sofa bed herself. I’ve never experienced this kind of rude behaviour and attitude at any hotel I’ve stayed. Very disappointing.

I recently stayed at the Mantra and had an excellent experience. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, with comfortable beds and all the necessary amenities. unfortunately, my experience was disappointing overall.

The cleanliness of the property was far below standard. The carpets were visibly dirty, the corridors had an unpleasant smell, and the blinds in the bedroom were dusty and unkempt. The towels and bedding were of poor quality, which added to the discomfort.

The bed was incredibly uncomfortable, making it hard to get a good night’s sleep. Additionally, the entire property felt outdated and in need of a refresh.

The location is convenient, being very close to the train station, and there’s decent shopping nearby, but these positives were not enough to make up for the poor condition of the hotel.

Check-in was quick and easy, and the staff were friendly and welcoming, which was a highlight. However, the checkout time of 10:00 AM felt unnecessarily early. A later time, such as 11:00 AM, would have been much more convenient.

Overall, while the staff were pleasant and the location was practical, the lack of cleanliness and outdated facilities made for an uncomfortable stay. I would not recommend staying here unless improvements are made.

Double charged for carparking. Charged day in and then charged again on day left. When I called up and complained, they identified and confirmed that incorrectly charged but said 2 weeks to get refund. That is unacceptable. They instant charge at check-in, can instant reverse or at minimum next day deposit, no excuses. I stayed there a week, had to lodge many days in a row issues, did not get fixed. There lots of things broken TV unwatchable (TV pixel tube had gone - the screen was a mush of nothing), no plug for kitchen sink to wash dishes and there is no dishwasher, no scrubber sponge for dishes (ask for one, housekeeper never delivered), light bulbs out in bathroom it was dark. Call reception let know issues, no one picks up. Multiple days asking, no one arrives or sorts out, so stopped asking.

Secondly during booking it was not mentioned for the deposit to be paid. They take heavy 200 deposit and then while check out they said end of the day it will be released.
