First room we were given smelled, carpet was wet. AC was turned off on mains. When we turned it on it started dripping water onto the already wet carpet hence the smell in the room.
Staff was friendly and helpful and moved us to a different room. Second room hadn't been cleaned yet, so we got moved again to a third room which was good.

Room is tiny, old, and wet areas which are not separated from main room have a musty smell. Window blind was broken and I had to 'fix' it to close it at night, initial allocation of two razor thin pillows was inadequate and I observed two nearby guests whose kettles didn't work and tripped out the power. Staff were helpful and friendly, but very busy and clearly tired. Location is of course good, but in all, it felt overpriced for what it is. Unlikely to book here again.

The hotel itself gets the job done as a “budget” option and convenient for its proximity to Accor and Qudos Bank arena. However, the price was still quite hefty which I assume was because of an event on that night which is where the problem lies, don’t advertise as a budget option if you will raise your prices so highly..? There was also dirty towels in my room unfortunately and staff gave me the wrong key initially after check in.

Room was so run down and dirty. Bed sheets were ok but the bed frame with bunk was gross and had dried blood on it and filth, snobs rubbed on walls and the bed wasn’t made up for top bunk. Carpet was dirty and dus, the room smelt bad and I had to ask cleaner to spray it. Reception stinks aswell, need to focus on a deep clean. might be ibis budget but u expect a clean room and hotel.
I had a bag stollen from outside of room and asked staff to check cameras and still haven’t.
Do not book if you attended a concert as you have to que a very long line wrapping around the building as there are no stairs to use only 2 small very slow lifts. Should be staff at lift directing lifts to certain floors to speed up the wait instead of having to stop at every floor. So not recommend

Their was mould on the roof of the room near the door, the aircon looked like it held legionaires in it and we didnt have enough bedding for the number of beds, It was also ridiculously overpriced for the shoebox we were in.

When I booked via Wotif, it said parking included. Apparently it wasn’t? This needs to be more clear in the inclusions. The wording is ambiguous. You overcharge when people are desperately trying to get accommodation and parking. The room was average. Poor condition.

Not being from Sydney I did find it hard to find the motel. I rang the motel 2 times, 2 days later they have not returned my call. When I did find the motel the staff was more interested in talking to each other than asking me what I wanted. Breakfast was a great disappointment to say the least, Toast with vegemite, peanut Buter, raspberry jam or strawberry jam. Pancakes that I am still waiting for the machine to work. I did ask the girl on duty if I had paid for the next day and she said I will check, I finished my so called brecy and had to ring the bell 3 times and she asked me what I wanted? Give me a break I know I must be county hick but I will not be returning. PS dont get me stared on the parking.

For check-in, a huge line-up! There were two people working at the reception counter when we came in & then for the next 25 mins, just the one person. This was around 3pm (check-in is from 2pm) so wasn't anywhere near peak time. Got into room at about 3:40pm. Didn't seem to be any urgency to clear the line-up. No power in all double power points, TV, Bedside light & fridge in room except for aircon & main light. Had to go out 35 mins later to go to tennis & wouldn't be back until after midnight. Advised reception on our way out to the tennis (had to give room key-card back). When returned in the early hours of the morning, the young lady had no idea (wasn't in any notes or passed on). Also, wasn't aware that the key card had been returned. Had to re-program a new one and gave it to us. We checked power & was resolved. She advised that she was coming up with us but got delayed with the front door, a couple of mins later she came up & advised power issue was resolved. So didn't have to move to another room. Check-out was express by placing key-card in express box on reception counter. At least this time, (stayed there last year), there was the basic toiletries (last year, only had one towel, no soap/body wash, a bottom sheet & doona only (no top sheet)) for two adults. This time was it was for three adults.

Room top bed you can see the dust , the blankets are stained only one chair no tissue box 3 nights they didn't change the bed sheets once. I kept asking for towels u less they wouldn't provide it. Dirty everwhere from the squashed mozzie on the toilet wall; the long hair in the shower cubicle; the towels smudged with black marks and the water bottle left wedged between the wall and the rop bunk bed mattress.
We also reported that the light didn’t work in the toilet 3 times fo staff, but it was never replaced, so we had to use the toilet utilising the torch from our phones.

Air conditioner not working but was fixed by staff. Room was filthy. Sheets and blankets had yellow staining. Large amounts of dust and dirt in corners of room, under the bed. Walls were filthy. Hair on bed. The corridors were dirty around corners and vending machines. Would have been a long time in between cleaning.
Overall for $300 a night it was disgusting.

The staff were so good. They were juggling so many balls.
We went to the School Spectacular. Stayed with IbIs.
It was packed with visitors and performers.
I will stay again because of them. The room was clean, the shower was hot and the aircon worked. The icing on the cake is the staff. Well done. I look forward to visiting again.

The room was dirty, the floors in the room and outside need a serious clean, the matresses were too small for the bed, the amount of dust on the beds and on the air conditioner are a health hazard.. the hallway floors dont look like they have been cleaned in years. The toilet was not even flushed when we arrived. I wish i took photos to show everyone. The staff were not easily approachable, i paid way too much too stay here, the amount i paid was not budget at 400 a night.. absolutely disgusting and pathetic. I had no choice but to stay as there was nowhere else available. A full refund would be nice!

The air con was extremely loud. We opened it and saw it seems it’s never been cleaned and likely not serviced. Lowest fan mode was so loud. We couldn’t increase fan mode due to extra loudness. We asked to change rooms but the hotel was booked and the manager wasn’t there. We had to either sleep in a hot room with no ventilation and no open window or sleep with the air con on with loud noise. Either way, we weren’t going to get much sleep. We ended up only having a few hours sleep and we were exhausted. It was so humid and we couldn’t drive back late home to Wollongong otherwise we would have just left. There was also one pillow each which was very flat. Toilet roll holder was broken. Noise travels so loud through the hotel floor and kept us up as well. The sheet on the bed was broken, stained and quilt didn’t fit in the quilt cover. It was much smaller. After speaking with someone on the hotels.com app they tried contacting the hotel numerous times with no answer. They emailed them requesting a refund for us. Awaiting response.

The location in relation to Qudos Arena is amazing. The rooms are small, very hard to get into the shower and toilet. The room was fairly clean, however there was blood on the wall. The foyer areas and reception were very dirty with lots of splatter from drinks on the walls & floor. Was ok for a 1 night stay.

The lobby smelled like a locker room. Each floor smelt like stale cigarettes and stains and marks all throughout the room and facilities. The shared laundry room ruined my clothes, the iron put a stain onto my formal clothing that I needed the next day and the staff was unhelpful and showed no sympathy and seemed irritated I asked for help and complained. They didn’t fix the iron they just kept it there and ignored it for other guests to use and have their clothes ruined.

Do not stay at this property. On arrival there was no one at front desk. I called the mobile number left but no one answered. It took 20 minutes before someone showed up. The carpets were filthy. The blinds were broken and wouldn't close properly. The doona looked dirty and probably never washed. The shower head was broken and wouldn't let out a steady stream of water. I cannot believe Ibis are willing to have their name on this property.

The bathroom was in a terrible state and needed a very good scrub. The smoke alarm went off and after 19minutes no one came to the room. we fanned the area with a towel, and the alarm came adrift and fell to the floor. The alarm stopped going off. I told a staff member when we went to breakfast about the dirty bathroom and the bed side lights not working and the shower room having water across the doorway and how dangerous it was.
One of the staff called me to tell me we had tamped with the fire alarm, this is not true, the alarm came a drift when we tried to fan it so it would stop, it was evident that no one was coming to turn it off. When i told the staff member about no one coming to check on us due to the alarm, the staff member said oh they might had been putting out breakfast foods, I really thought that a fire alarm going off would have priority over a few muffins going out. The day of arrival I rang the the motel twice and it when to answer machine I left a message both time asking them to please return my call.
Now they are saying I have to pay a fine of $200. I will never go to this motel ever again the staff and management are very unprofessional and aggressive to guests.

Hotel had no water on any floor. The line up to the two lifts went out the lobby and down the street. Check in took over an hour. I booked through Expedia and demanded a refund due to no water and not even stating the night (we checked in and out within 30 minutes) and they told me they could not refund due to booking with Expedia! Be very aware!!!

It’s a great spot for attending the concerts and footy but the ibis budget is budget accomodation but at a not so budget price. Our room was clean but had such a strong overpowering bleach smell that it was difficult to breathe comfortably throughout the nights stay. We got out early and I won’t be going back at those prices.

Great location, Sydney Show grounds.

The location for our need was Perfect, Sydney Show Grounds, 4 night stay.
We had 2 sales reps, myself + wife.
I selected family rooms for the sales and king for myself. I made an error, and should have just picked 3 x family rooms. The family rooms are spacious and you have a longer table for work.
The King is smaller and the table is smaller and the single bar fridge takes up the leg space, you have no table to work off, luckily you can work in the breakfast area. The major problem was the king bed is broken in the middle, so you just fall to the middle and have to climb out to get out. The hotel was booked out.
The front desk staff were fantastic, kind, friendly, and breakfast was just fine for me.
Saturday Night cost was triple the cost or the other nights, I thought that quite steep because a monster truck event on that night.
We could not change rooms as Saturday night was 100% full.

Room was tired and had not been cleaned properly. There was a centimetre of dust on each bedside cabinet. I mentioned it at reception and they did come and clean it an apologise but nothing was offered as compensation like a complementary breakfast. One of 3 towels also had a whole in it. Shower leaked all over wooden floor in basin area. Room was tired and needs refreshing, yellow colour was depressing and lots of chips on walls, etc. I appreciate the hotel is in constant use cause of the stadium and arena but it was the worse hotel I have stayed in on my 10 week trip and certainly not the cheapest. In return to the property after a concert no one could get in as their keys didn’t work. Lots of people stuck outside thank goodness it wasn’t raining.
