Great location with easy access to public transport and plenty of food options nearby.

Unfortunately, the hotel itself was disappointing. The room felt tired and in need of renovation, stained bedsheets, very old carpets, and a bathtub with visible indents. Attention to detail was lacking, including the TV welcome message addressing me as “Mr” instead of Mrs or Ms.

My initial interaction with the man at the front desk was cold and unwelcoming, which set the tone poorly. However, the female staff I dealt with later were warm, pleasant, and helpful, which was appreciated.

If you’re after a basic, budget-friendly stay and value location over comfort, this may be suitable. Just don’t expect much beyond the basics.

The curtains, paintings and headboards were of paint brush splotches but the “paint” was red…
I don’t know if Dexter was the decorator or he’d stayed in the room before us, either way I think he loved it.
So yes nice stay but please stop scaring your guests and get new curtains and room decor.

Sadly, we were disappointed with our stay at Homebush Novotel. Our room was not up to the same standards we expect with the Novotel. Considering the price we paid for our room. I’ve had to list the faults as there was quite a few.
- The toilet didn’t flush well and was stuck on constantly.
- The shower door did not close and swung open.
- The bathroom window lock was broken.
- The curtains on one side of the room were approximately 30min too short. At a large waist high window.
- The floor was extremely uneven, trip hazards everywhere.
- 3 coffee sashes, 2sugars 1tea bag.

We were at Olympic Park (from interstate) for an event. The Novotel was so convenient - right at the train station exit, close to all the stadiums and right near lots of food options. We had requested a cot and it was set up in our room on arrival. There was also a little kids play area near reception and they had free Zooper Doopers for the kids (and maybe also the adults). The room itself was clean and large (we had a king room). Lots of space for the cot. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again if attending an event at the Olympic Park precinct.

No aircon was a getaway dampener..
local wedding to attend, so 3pm check in made it a rushed time to prepare, we left the aircon set on 20 as we like it cool to sleep, got back the the suite around 12 and the room was hot, it was like the temperature setting was a global set, not an individual room adjustment. king suite, so luckily we had the balcony door to open for the outside cool, but this just let bugs and noise in. Front desk were nice, but given the time of the night, understandable there was not a lot they could do to help.
I will note also $49 for DIY parking per night was more than I paid for the previous night at Sydney Airport Valet.. something doesn’t seem right with that.

Overall a nice hotel and great location, Ubers are everywhere around. Room was nice and breakfast was stock standard buffet.

This property is in an ideal location for events at the Sydney Showground and well connected to transport. The room had a good view. However I paid a premium price for this room compared to what I paid the previous night in Sydney city and the room had less features than the cheaper hotel. The room I stayed in looked a little tired and will need an upgrade soon. Breakfast buffet in the morning was also quite pricey but an excellent array of food.

The main issue was that our room was right opposite a service elevator and had a great big linen trolley permanently parked in the corridor right outside so that we heard staff talking outside quite early in the morning. Blackout curtains didn’t quite close. For the price, we were disappointed.

It was overpriced for what you got. I thought it was a joke that on top of what you pay to stay for the night that they also then turn around and charge you to park your car on there premises and it was charged at a higher rate then what the flat rate undercover parking station down the road was and you were not advised of this until after you have parked your car there? The check in time is also to late in the day for the area, it should be earlier.
If 3 adults and 1 child is staying why would you only leave 2 cups? The tea, coffee and sugar hadn't been restocked or looked at for awhile as what was in there was as hard rock hard. It was very overpriced all round for the area and I wouldn't be hurrying back.

It served the purpose of being a room for the nights we stayed. There was an issue with one lift, and they didn't consider opening the stairs/ fire escape so that people could use them so we were stuck waiting up to 15 minutes maybe more for the lift, it was very frustrating. The gym shared with the pullman was limited and not worth having, which given the location you would think there would be a good gym, I think even with passes for other facilities given where it is have a facilities. The bar were amazing for the 100 guest who were there as part of our conference, and the breakfast was ok, but well over priced at $38 for buffet. I would stay again if I had too, but perhpas based on facilites and the lift I would look at staying else where and commuting in. We paied about 280-310 per night.

We booked two king balcony suites for a 5 day Buisness trip. The rooms are looking very tired. Being located on the 4th floor there was a lot of street noise from outside. About the room. There were only 4 sachets of coffee and one small container of milk, the milk was not replaced after day one and the coffee ran out after day two. While this may seem trivial we wanted to see how long it would take to replenish if we did not complain. It was never replenished, so considering we were paying $3-400 a night itwas very disappointing. The door lock to the room broke after the room was serviced so we returned after a day out to find our door ajar. Luckily nothing was missing, the door could lock from the inside. This we did immediately report and unfortunately maintenance had left for the day and the duty manager did attempt a repair.
Finally they advertise a gym/ fitness center. This however is not on site and you need to walk across the road to the Pullman hotel and use their facilities which I found very inconvenient. I feel the hotel needs to remove this from their listing but if they do they risk bringing their 4 star rating down to the 3 stars it deserves.
The Pullman across the road is a 5 star rated hotel and its room rates were similar to what we paid. As a regular Buisness traveller who books for the national sales team I wanted to review their facilities for my people unfortunately the Novotel did not pass inspection as a comfortable option for my staffs future use.

Windows are too thin, making the room was noisy - given the price I would expect some sort of soundproofing.
Mouldy seal on shower and nasty stain on curtains were disappointing as they are reasonably easy fixes.
Otherwise, room was clean and comfortable (including beds).
One other irk was there was only two lifts and it was frustrating having to wait to get on at peak times.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Novotel Sydney Olympic Park, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. The hotel’s location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Olympic Park, making it perfect for events, concerts, or a relaxing getaway.

From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly professional. Check-in was seamless, and we were made to feel right at home. Our room was spacious, spotless, and well-appointed, with stunning views of the park and beyond.

What truly sets this hotel apart is the attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction. Every staff member we encountered went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect.

I highly recommend Novotel Sydney Olympic Park to anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient, and high-quality stay in Sydney. I can’t wait to return!

The property was centrally located to the train station and several dining options, as well as accor stadium.
Unfortunately the brasserie and bar was closed for upgrades, but a great alternative for breakfast was provided across the road at the pullman.
Will definitely stay again!!
