Those walls are so thin I could hear someone coughing all night. And then around 3am they started yelling & going in & out of their room a lot & I didn’t feel super safe. Then in the morning I tried to leave & the dead bolt was stuck & I couldn’t get out. I called the motel but she said she wouldn’t be there for 45 minutes which means she doesn’t get there until 10am & there’s no one else on property.

My guess is that this may be new owners, Very friendly. This place was probably built in the 50's and has few updates.It is BARE BONES! The rooms severely lack electrical outlets! (ONE on each side of the room) The door had the bare minimum locks for safety and security. BE WARNED

This motel is incredibly well located, it's clean and comfortable and at a great price. And again- the location is excellent - Pro-tip, walk through the Fort William Henry complex to get to the waterfront. This motel has physical keys, which comes with it's own concerns - I didn't love that management told us the key would be in the door and then were super blaise about it when it wasn't. It's one thing if the last lodger forgot to give it back and it's another thing if I think someone pocketed it from the door and had plans to use it. Some of the rooms also don't have deadbolts. The pool and outdoor lounge area are super cute. All in all, excellent value for price - the room was a 9.5 for me even with the locking issue - it met our needs and I'd stay here again if I were in the area. Very, very convenient if you don't want to have to do a lot of driving to and from town. I

Memorial Day weekend

The major problems with this hotel were the bed was like sleeping on a concrete slab, it took about 10 minutes to get hot water from the bathroom sink and then was only lukewarm, zero hot water from the shower and no heat. Like, no heating system at all. It was cold, rainy and damp Saturday afternoon and night and rainy in the 40s on Sunday night. The amount of stars given were because the lady in the office was absolutely amazing! When asked for extra towels and told about the heat situation, she was at our door in minutes with extra towels and a little heater which made Sunday night much more bearable. Also, for the cleanliness of the room and the grounds. I hope the heat and hot water situation get satisfied because that's really the only major problem with our particular room.

The hotel staff was nice and check in was fast and efficient but… the hotel or should I say motel was horrible. Maybe the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The door when locked could easily be pushed open. The hard and soft goods were in dire need of updating. All of the walls other than those made of cinder blocks were flimsy and could be moved back and forth.

I knew this would either be really cool or a mistake. It was cheap, so chances are there was a reason. The manager was very nice, the room was fairly gross but..... the bed was comfortable, the sheets and comforter smelled great and the hot water worked well. If you were willing not to look at the walls and the floor, you were good. For one night coming through, it got the job done. They gave you a fridge and a microwave kinda thrown together with an extension cord in the rear of the room which was nice, I didn't need it but they tried to make it as nice as they could given its age.

There was nothing to like. tried to go to the desk to check in and the attendant had to unlock the door to let me in. The attendant didn't speak English so I could understand. I parked to go to my room and the attended came with broom and dust pan to sweep out the room. Then decided to give me a different room and the same thing he was going to sweep. I finally asked for my money back. The charge has hit my card but not the credit. This was after check out time at 3 PM.

This hotel was extremely disappointing. I completely understand the lack of workers as everywhere is suffering staff shortages, but when I walk into a room and there are multiple things wrong that are simple fixes - the staff shortage isn't an excuse.

When I walked in, a HUGE bug fell onto me as I closed the curtains and there was a huge spider crawling down the tv. When we went to turn the light on (there are no light switches, which I get because it's old) we found that the light didn't work because the extension in the outlet was completely broken so we had 1 small light in what was essentially a cave.

In the bathroom, molding was missing from around the window and floor as if the bathroom was mid-remodel, but nothing was new so that obviously wasn't the case. The shower curtain was paper thin and half of the holes for the rings were ripped - something so simple that could easily be replaced. When I went to turn the faucet on, the faucet literally turned off.

Last but not least, the beds were horrible, we were essentially sleeping on rubber sheets under extremely thin sheets..and the comforter smelled like vomit.

We booked it last minute and the price was right. We were super close walking distance to everything (beach, shops, restaurants). The trolley stop was less than 100 feet from the hotel if we wanted to go further away. It’s a no frills place but we only needed a place to rest our heads while we were in town and this worked out perfect for us. A/C worked great.

The floor felt like it hadn’t ever been cleaned even though the place reeked of Fabuloso. Bathroom smelled like urine. There was a fight in the parking lot in the middle of the night. Curtains don't close all the way which isn't great considering there is a huge window separates bed and parking lot. The bed felt like it was just a boxspring. No wonder it was one of the only places in town with vacancy that weekend. Hopefully they make some improvements. Price isn't worth it.

The floors were gross!! Housekeeping only took the garbage everyday never cleaned the room. There was only one outlet that had a power bar plugged into it for electricity. The beds were very uncomfortable and the sheets were dirty!. The reservation said breakfast was included but there was no breakfast. For the amount that i paid to stay here it should have been better quality. It said $99 a night but we ended up paying double that!

Room oder could be smelled before even getting into the room. Place had dust and spiders everywhere in the room . Under the chairs toms of spiderweb. Toliet was so loud. Bathroom smelled like mold. This place should be $25-$50 a night. They increase prices because its next to all the amenities.

I booked a double bed room. For 2 kids 2 adults One queen one full size bed both beds creaked each time you sat on it
We lasted in the room no more then ten minutes and packed our bags to head out.
I went to the front desk and told the front desk lady about the room conditions and that we could not sleep with bugs crawling on us. She immediately called the owner and without hesitation he refunded my money.

The only good thing I can say about this place is that the front desk girl and the owner handled this situation with excellent customer service. Other then that I would not recommend this place to anyone not even for a one night stay.

We only stayed overnight to meet friends the next day. It was super old school looking. Bathrooms are renovated. They should consider updating the rooms cuz they are kind of old school. Bed was comfortable. It's a one man show at this motel the front desk guy is the manager and the housekeeping. He did a great job. The room was clean. The rooms do feel a bit like a cell since they are concrete.

Room was very small, no closet just a few hangers on a rack shelf. No coffee pot no hair dryer. Shower was dirty small sink and toilet, smelled musty, bathroom door didnt close door warped. Had to ask for toilet paper and towels. Bugs in room, had only vertical blinds even when it was closed there are gaps that you can see in room and the bed was right next to window. Got to see only the box spring which was torn and dirty. I didnt dare look at the mattress. Stayed over night only because we didnt have a choice, Air conditioner didnt work too well. After the first night we checked out the next day and had to find a new hotel to stay at, couldn't stay one more minute there let alone one more night there. Manager wanted to give us another room but we refused because the other rooms looked just the same as we can see right through the window. Parking was very tight. Will not recommend this motel.

The best part about this property is that it's close to the village. The room was very small but served it's purpose. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good. The large window had floor to ceiling verticle blinds but no curtain so it was possible to see through in some areas.
I would have appreciated a curtain. Parking is tight. There are small tables outside each room. The grill of someone's car was almost touching our table.

Well for the price...don’t stay there.

The shower was very hard to adjust the water temperature, and there was mold in the shower. They only gave us one small bar of hand soap. The bed was very firm and uncomfortable. Our hips and backs were very sore in the morning. The only redeeming factor was the price and location.

Great location at a great price. Our room was clean...and that is my #1 concern when I stay in a Motel. The Motel was basic...but well taken care of. The pool was clean, our room cleaned every morning, fresh towels, nice mini fridge and microwave. Free coffee and continental breakfast. Nice chairs and tables to sit outside of every room, as well as other tables and chairs on other side of yard. There’s also a BBQ for guests to use. The motel is walking distance to restaurants, shops, to the beach, mini put and to the pier for boat tours.

Very Nice Retro Motel in the village close to great restraunts and everything else in the village. Staff was friendly and property was kept up. Room was clean and had a great flat screen tv . bathroom was clean and maintained. I was extremly impressed at the value this motel offered and glad to see thete are still a great retro motel in buissness. The pool and patio was a nice bonus to a great stay. Hope to be back in august.

We got what we paid for no frills.

Bed was very hard, shower needed updating. Bring your own shampoo and hair dryer.

On the plus side it was clean, and close to downtown. Breakfast while all carb based was a large mostly prepackaged selection, however bagels were fresh and coffee was good. WiFi worked well.
