A beautiful hotel in a beautiful place. They have a fantastic free breakfast and shuttle that will pick you up and drop you off at the parking garage. The room was very nice and we had a beautiful balcony overlooking the sea. My only complaint would be the firmness of the mattress and pillows, they certainly could me more plush and comfortable.

We love stayong at Hotel Piran every year. However our last experience was tainted by being giving a room we specifially did not book (reception staff eventually corrected this). When I booked on hotels.com you could clearly see a distinction between \"superior\" and normal rooms (steel blacony vs concrete balcony) which was also reflected in the price. Yet they wanted to argue that \"the rooms are all the same\" (they are not, the concrete balcony rooms are much smaller and are falling apart).

The hotel is in dire need of repair (bathrooms in particular). The price certainly doesn't reflect the quality. Most of reception staff (except 2 from what we've seen) has changed vs previous years and it's reflected in the lower level of service.
They also seem to have some corporate ESG initiative going on which is rather pointless when they have the AC blasting on full all day with doors open in reception...

The hotel restaurant is great though. We love Piran and we'll probably end up staying here yet again on our next visit but with this year's experience its feeling me with dread.

We chose a room high up, with the ocean view. Loved having a little balcony to relax on. The hotel is right on the water. You really can't beat the location or the views of the crystal clear water. The man working the front desk was outstanding. Greeted us daily with a smile. The breakfast was plentiful and fresh. Loved walking right out the front door and go for a swim. There isn't a sand beach here, rocks and docks to swim off. Loved our stay and would stay here again upon a return to Piran. It's a fun little town with unbeatable food/water views and swimming.

First, our A/C did not work when we arrived. They came and fixed that. After we returned from dinner and were preparing for bed, discovered door lock didn’t work at 10 pm. Front desk sent a repairman who arrived at 11 pm. He didn’t have but a pair of pliers and couldn’t fix the lock. He said he would get a hammer and be back. We waited for him to return until after midnight and went to bed without a lock because he never returned. Great location, great food at their restaurant, but poor maintenance on their facility and unresponsive to the needs of their guests.

Unfortunately I had a very disappointing experience with Hotel Piran. At arrival around midnight the front desk informed me that I couldn’t park my rental car in Piran and instructed a taxi driver to drive me to the garage they have a partnership with. The taxi ride was more expansive than originally mentioned by the hotel and the taxi ended up taking me to a garage that the hotel didn’t have a partnership with - which resulted in a parking fee significantly more expensive than initially informed. On top of that, the hotel didn’t have hot water in the shower at the time of my arrival (the front desk offered me another room, but the issue was affecting the entire hotel).

I contacted the hotel’s manager and hotel customer support for some sort of discount or refund, but it was refused.

Overpriced for the amenities provided, but the service is solid. The breakfast - atmosphere, food and service - is the highlight of the stay. The great disappointment are the rooms: old, dated and without A/C, what made them little hells, specially after 11am. Mattress are not comfortable at all and might be a problem for people with back pain. The sea view is ok, but balcony furniture and size disappoints. The hotel also allows smokers on their balconies, what might be an issue for normal guests depending on the wind direction. There are no business room. For the price paid for the room, cheap toiletries in the bathroom provided and the lack of basic benefits like power adaptors (U.S. standard) are an insult. The Internet is surprisingly difficult to work in multiple devices and high speed broadband is charged on the side, when it should be included on the hotel's rate.

Spectacular little hotel on the waterfront of the Adriatic. You can step out of the hotel and jump into the sea! Extra towels provided. Cuisine was top notch. Location was lovely - on a little peninsula where you leave you car behind and take a private Hotel Piran shuttle to the property. Very much a pedestrian-only town with lovely promenades only the sea walls....

Lovely hotel in a good location

Hotel was lovely and our room had a great view over the sea. The rooms with a balcony are just lovely to sit and admire the view. The staff are friendly and breakfast was good. It helps To know that all visitors park outside the centre of Piran in a parking garage … there is a shuttle that transfers hotel guests but We chose to walk (15/20 mins) there but shuttled when We left. Town itself is lovely.

Our stay was short but great! Staff were friendly and helpful from check in to check out. The hotel is lovely, right along the coast, the rooftop bar is a great bonus! The rooms are clean and we thought the air conditioning was just right even though some other reviews mention it was lacking. No parking near the property, but back up the hill in a parking garage. They provide a free transfer once you move your car to the garage but we would have liked to know to park at the garage before going all the way into town as it was quite hectic.

Overall the stay was relaxing and lovely, the only comment for improvement is that none of our Gold Member perks were acknowledged during the stay (late/early check in if available, 10% discount on food/drinks and supposedly two free cocktails. It would be great to actually provide these perks or remove from the listing.

Great pre-arrival communication, easy & fast pick-up from parking graduate, very quick and excellent customer service at check-in…and they upgraded us to a sea view! Room was cute and comfortable apart from the temperature (heatwave stronger than AC). The amazing front desk got us a fan to use and it made all the difference. Best part - jump in sea before eating a delish breakfast overlooking the water. Recommended (with a fan when it’s hot). Also have a drink at the sunset bar at sunset.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights. We had a car and their shuttle service to the garage was so efficient and stress free. Their staff made us feel welcome, and even offered a complimentary iced tea. The location was absolutely perfect for swimming and going into town. Their breakfast was full of variety and was great tasting. We were in Slovenia three weeks touring all the major cities and would've stayed one more night here if I would have known how nice it would be. Oh ya, bonus points for rooftop bar too, that was excellent as well.

Maintaining great hotel service traditions

The hotel staff treated us like old friends and valued customers even though we haven't been back in many years. Their priority during check-in was our comfort and letting us decompress and unwind before taking care of annoying things like parking the car (because Piran is pedestrianized, you have to park in a garage just out of town and have the hotel driver bring you back). You don't get that kind of service in a lot of places and you can tell that Hotel Piran understands that its guests are there to relax. Breakfast was wonderful each day, and the restaurant was excellent the one night we ate dinner at the hotel.

This hotel is in the middle of the beautiful setting that is Piran's coastline, a short walk from the town center and also from the bus station. For our three-day stay, we travelled by bus from Ljubljana. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, printing bus schedules and directing us to sites around the city. The breakfasts were veritable feasts. One rainy night we opted to eat in the hotel restaurant; the food and the service were terrific. We will book this hotel again on any future visit to Piran.

Piran is a lovely little harbour. The hotel looked tired/a bit old fashioned though and parking is a car park 1km from the hotel so not at all handy, although there is a shuttle bus to take you there. The staff were very nice.

The hotel was perfect - fantastic staff & great location.

1) The staff were extremely friendly & helpful, particularly Nik on reception & Milan in the bar/restaurant.
2) The location immediately on the waterfront was perfect. We loved the rooftop bar although a couple of evenings it was closed to guests which was a shame.
3) Our room, although looking over a carpark, was huge & comfortable & when the windows were closed & the AC on we were not disturbed by street noise.
4) Breakfast was acceptable but lacking in variety.
5) The discount on parking & free bus transfer was great.

The negatives were few….
1) housekeeping the first couple of days we were there was unimpressive, but presumably the following days saw a staff member who took their job seriously as we had no complaints from that point.
2) Our room did not have a floor length mirror.
3) The bathroom was large but could do with hooks for towels & a hair-drier that is next to the mirror! Also having somewhere to hang swimsuits & damp beach towels would be appreciated.

We loved the hotel & will definitely return.

Amazing location but hotel needs an update

The hotel is very well located, the room.had a beautiful view and is very authentic and charming hotel. However the room are a bit outdated and needs an update ( for example the door couldn't close, the phone didn't work, the tap was blocked...) Despite telling the hotel, it couldn't be fixed. If the rooms had a little update and refurbishment, it would be amazing!

After bicycling from Trieste in 90 degree weather, it was pure magic to enter the lobby and see the Adriatic Sea immediately in front of us. The gentleman managing the front desk recommended that we immediately change into bathing suits and take a cool dip. We took his advice and had the most refreshing swim ever! The room was also perfect for us and very clean. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully arrange with a wide variety of choices. If you’re biking, they have a convenient bike room. Our only disappointment was not staying a second night. Great hotel!

A really nice hotel right on the water. Our room had a large balcony overlooking the sea. The staff was very friendly and helpful. After dropping off the luggage, they led us to the parking garage and took us back to the hotel in their shuttle van. The breakfast spread was great and the dinner in the restaurant was good as well. A minor complaint with the internet dropping out occasionally. And some extra plugs near the night stand for charging devices is always appreciated. A great stay in a nice little seaside town.

Location was GREAT - but unfortunately there was a wedding in the hotel, resulting not only in crowds of people but also THUMPING LOUD MUSIC from the restaurant/dance hall area right under our room which continued LATE INTO THE NIGHT. Obviously, this wasn't the hotel's \"fault\" - but we won't book a room on a Saturday again!

Quite disappointed with this hotel, yes it’s on the seafront but that all that is special about it. For the price you pay you should have more than one electric socket in a room and the air conditioning should work in the summer. The restaurant staff were super nice though and the breakfast was ok.

- hotel didn’t inform us about the parking shuttle prior arrival. This could have saved us 30min walk.
- considering this is perhaps the best hotel in Piran, with respective price for rooms, I was rather surprised to get €20 surcharge per day for sunbeds and umbrella.

Hotel is in great location but the room 122 was VERY SMALL! The bathroom was so small you can hardly sit on the toilet! Very poor design!
I’ve stayed here before in other rooms and they are much nicer! I thought I booked a room with two single beds but we had one full bed! 😒

Probably the best location inside Piran. On the beachfront, a few steps to everywhere. Stylish lobby, breakfast room/restaurant. Tables by the sea, etc.

We got the cheapest double room with sea view option and the room was indeed tiny. Also, there is zero sound insulation. We could literally follow the conversation next room, word by word.

Parking is a bit inconvenient inside Piran. The hotel doesn't have parking space closeby. You have to park your car outside Piran, a few km away, then use the free shuttle which runs every 10 minutes between the car park and Piran center. Then it's about a further 100 steps to the hotel. If you are in a positive mood with little luggage, it's not a big deal, but if you arrive late with lots to carry, then it's a bit inconvenient. After check-out, it's quite convenient, there is a free hotel shuttle that takes you directly to your car.

If I would visit Piran once more, I would stay here again with the hope that I would not have chatty or snoring neighbors.

Hotel Piran is all about ‘location location location ‘.
If you have a sea view room then the sea is literally no more than 10 yards away. Watching the sun go down from your room ( or the roof top bar, particularly) gives a gorgeous view of sunset and a great photo opportunity.

The staff we encountered were all friendly and well informed.

However ... given the age of the hotel and the style in which it was built, the rooms themselves are ( or at least can be) very small . Our double room ( 222) had a cabin style bed , fixed to the wall. The person sleeping on the inside had to climb over the other to get to the (very small )bathroom . With so little space, it was best if one stayed in/on the bed while the other got dressed or needed the bathroom and vice versa .

When next door tried the handle of the (locked ) connecting door in the middle of the night, it made us jump .

Piran is a quaint little town. hotel Piran is brilliantly located and it’s staff were good ambassadors . However if having a spacious , modern room is important to you , think very carefully about whether this is the right place to stay for you.

This hotel has the most amazing views from it, with an ideal location in the heart of Piran. The moment you arrive, it all feels a bit special. Good rooms, fantastic restaurant and bar. The shuttle service is great to the garage too. One chap, Dominaj, I believe his name, was very good and helped us in our onward journey through Slovenia. Truly lovely hotel.

One of Piran’s finest places to stay!

The only negative things I could say about the stay was the poor signal strength of the wifi in the room, and the size of the bathroom. It was difficult to maneuver in there.
All else about the stay was excellent!! The service was amazing - very polite staff, helpful, and accommodating. The breakfast was bountiful with a huge selection of items.
The free shuttle to the parking garage (700 meters) with discounted parking fee was a bonus which I didn’t know they offered. I would highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is an incredible position.
Walk out the front door and into the water.
The staff were very pleasant and helpful.
The hotel is tired on the inside and is due for a refurbishment.
We had a suite, which I recommend that had a huge terrace with the best view. The room was huge, separate living area. But the carpet is worn and stained. As was the couch.
Breakfast was average at best. Not great quality produce.
Would try a better different hotel next time.
