The staff was by far the most pleasant part of my stay, no matter what time of day it was. The room was nice and mostly well-kept, but there were burned out lightbulbs in a couple of fixtures, the dishwasher was full of dishes, and the dog park needed some serious attention.

We booked a one-night stay through Expedia and honestly expected more for the price we paid. The hotel itself has potential, but the room really missed the mark. The furniture was noticeably worn down—two of the dining chairs were in such bad shape they looked like they were rescued from the curb. The end tables were badly scuffed, and both TVs felt outdated, like something you'd find in a budget motel, not a Residence Inn.

The overall vibe of the room just felt tired and neglected. It wouldn’t take much to bring it back up to par—a simple furniture refresh and a little attention to detail could go a long way. For a property that’s supposed to be in the mid-range tier, this felt below standard. Disappointing experience, and not somewhere I’d rush to return.

Other than breakfast, it was still fantastic. Finding handicapped rooms limited for my husband. The room was very roomy and easy for my husband to drive around in. His mobility scooter is smaller and it was able to get around in our suite. We definitely will be back and this will be our first start in looking for another nite in Bismarck.

We had a wonderful stay. Having two bedrooms and two bathrooms allowed for privacy. Everything was clean and the staff were extremely friendly. Location was perfect for dining and picking up needed supplies. Area was very safe.

This was one of our favorite hotel stays ever, and we have traveled hundreds of thousands of miles over the years. My kids (3 teens) were impressed with how well-stocked the suite's kitchenette was, and we appreciated having access to real dishes. We each slept very comfortably. The Saturday breakfast was varied and delicious. (Biscuits & sausage gravy always = fantastic, in our book!) The breakfast items were well-tended, never running out for long (not even near the end of service).

Check-in was very fast, pleasant, and professional. Downstairs seating was plentiful and comfortable. I did not know some hotels offered board games and puzzles in their lobbies; that was a nice touch. The rooms and hallways were also nice and quiet. We definitely want to stay here again!

And hot tub and great patio space to visit and hang out on a nice day. My favorite place in Bismarck after one stay. We will be booking there again. Top notch in every way!

Room could have been cleaner, shower did not look to be cleaned. Stuff left in the fridge from a previous tenant. Overall could use some updates. Various things around the hotel showed a lot of wear and tear. Bed was uncomfortable.

Losing it’s Momentum

It’s disappointing that this hotel is getting worn down without good upkeep. The bathroom sink was clogged and was slow to drain. We informed the front desk staff on the second day. We were told it would be looked at. When we returned to hotel in the evening, the sink was still the same.

We stay here all of the time. This was our first time having it be terribly dirty in the halls and rooms. My parents had a room as well and had issues with service. We had things broken in our room and my parents had a missing remote. Very unclean all around this time.

The room was the perfect size for what we needed. The furniture was comfortable. The kitchenette was stocked with utensils and cookware. Everything worked. There was only one usb specific outlet, but a ton of outlets throughout the room. The breakfast was changed up a little bit during the days we were there. Relatively quiet stay.

My family and I stayed in two rooms for the weekend. Our 1st room was terrible. I picked up wrappers on the floor, hair on the bathroom floor. My son slept on the couch and there were dirty sheets on it. We had to get our own sheets at the desk. We didn’t have a remote for our tv and called the desk and told sorry we would have to wait until the next day to get one. In the morning went to make coffee and there was coffee but not for our coffee maker. We have stayed at Residence inn before and never had a problem. All we were told it’s hard to find good help, do better!

We checked in. We were upgraded to a suite which was great! However, when we got in the room, we realized why they gave us this suite. The trash wasn’t emptied, the kitchen sink was broken and the bottom cupboard was missing. I spoke to a maid the next morning and asked if we could get clean towels and the trash emptied. She said it would be done. Nothing. We put the trash outside the room. It was still sitting there when we checked out. Disappointing

The only issue I had with the hotel is the first morning my hubby went to get some coffee at the breakfast area. It was 9:45 am. Breakfast was scheduled to be over at 10 am. He just wanted coffee. There was nothing left for breakfast including coffee. There was a staff person there speaking broken English. He was telling those coming in for breakfast, “No more. No more food.” When asked if they were going to cook anymore food or coffee, he kept saying no, no. Why is it advertised until 10 am if they aren’t serving until then?

Walked into the lobby with Fox News playing full blast on the large flat screen TV in the lobby … this was beyond unwelcoming … spewing all kinds of distasteful coverage of Trump and MAGA drama … the whole stay from that point on was rather uncomfortable and we felt very unwelcome. Is this the kind of atmosphere that the Marriot is wanting to create?

The couch was full of dog hair. When I pulled the fold out bed out for grandkids, I saw all the dog hair. stuck to Couch Cushions. I'm allergic to dogs and cats had to take meds all weekend to stay out of the hospital. I really wish they would keep certain rooms for animals as not all of us sleep with animals. It was a nice room just thought it would be clean.

Check in was quick and front desk attendants were pleasant and friendly. Overall a nice hotel. My only real complaint is with the room. We stayed in a pet room as we had our dog with us. I don’t expect these rooms to be perfect but when I opened the door to the room it smelled like a kennel on a hot summer day. It’s obvious previous doggy guests have left their mark. The room was also not as clean as I’d like. Hairs on the floor in bathroom and in the tub, sticky residue on the table. I’d recommend removing the carpet from pet rooms, it’s gross, unsanitary and harder for housekeeping to keep clean. Ultimately pet owners need to do better and not ruin it for the rest of us.

Bedding the king bed were to small and we have remake the entire bed every morning due to this. Otherwise it was a great stay!

Great location with restaurants located across the street and others a short drive away. The hotel is what is to be expected by this chain. Showing wear and tear of time. For example, bathroom door was poorly repaired with a large gap at the top. Overall, though, a good hotel with an accommodating staff.

It was our first time staying here and the stay was wonderful! We stayed 5 nights visiting friends so the room was perfect. Loved the seperate bedroom, the living room and kitchen. The staff was great help, very friendly and overall amazing. The pool and hot tub are great and the patio area was very nice for sitting outside in the nice weather. Overall, great stay. Service was great. Comfortable room and great breakfast options. The room wasn't real clean upon check in. We did find a previous guest's socks on the office chair. There were food stains on the sofa as well as what appeared to be soda or juice stains on some wall areas. The hot tub was very, very dirty which was disappointing. We did report the hot tub condition to the front desk but didn't say anything about the room to the front desk as felt the items were \"minor\" enough to ignore.

The staff was quite welcoming and honestly were wonderful to work with. The issues were just details that made a difference. The room wasn’t very clean when we arrived. It needed to be vacuumed and the previous people left food in the fridge. There was no service for stays less than 5 nights which means no garbage taken out, we ran out of toilet paper, and I bought Lysol to take care of the smell from the garbage disposal. Usually the hotel serves evening social hour food but that was discontinued due to covid. I understand - but the rates didn’t change. Again, the staff was great, but too many corners had been cut on quality.
