Check-in was quick and easy. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was ok I suppose. The bathroom/tub wasn’t as clean as it could have been and having the little kitchen nock essentially in the bathroom (that we affectionately named the “batchen” was the craziest thing I’ve ever seen in a hotel. With the bathroom door opening out into the batchen, prepare to get hit by the door if using the sink or the microwave. The pool towels can use replacing but other than that the location is pretty nice with several restaurants and a movie theater within 1-2 minute walking distance. Overall it was a decent stay for the price.

We checked into our room, and came to discover a smelly pile of dog crap laying right on the floor in front of the door to the balcony, the front desk thought they could solve the problem by coming and spraying cleaning chemicals in the room, keep in mind I have to 2 young children.
I was able to get into a different room and they didn't even offer to reimburse us for at least one night.
The whole experience was disgusting and the lack of brains on their cleaning staff is questionable.
Don't know if I'd stay there again when we're in town

Overall the property (paint, wallpaper, carpet, pool) could use a freshening up. Staff was service minded and responded quickly to any needs we had. Free continental breakfast would have been great. Coffee shops and conveniences store located nearby was a big plus.We were given an early check in and check out and that was awesome! Appreciated the fridge in the room. HVAC easy to adjust.

Beautiful place to stay. We stayed in a suite which was so roomy and comfy. Separate bedroom, which was nice if someone wanted to stay up and watch TV. We had a downstairs patio off of the room which was so nice to go out and sit and drink morning coffee or afternoon wine. Dog friendly which was a big bonus for us. Lobby area had a little bar and a lot of room to sit and watch TV. We watched the World Cup on a big screen TV with comfy couches.
Definitely would recommend this property to anyone!

The light close to the sink (outside the bathroom) would turn on every 30 minutes or so. Woke me up multiple times. Eventually moved rooms at 1 am since there was no way to turn it off or block the light. There were also crickets in the room and the chair upholstery was dirty and stained.

Outdoor furniture near fire pit has cracking plastic edges that are uncomfortable.Breakfast even on weekend stops at 9 However nice size room, quiet despite near freeway, great location near movie theatre and lots of dining and easy to find

I think we stayed under the laundry room because every 30 minutes, all night long, there would be someone stomping around above us and turning on what sounded like a dryer and when it would turn off, more stomping. Got zero sleep.

I booked this hotel through a third party and when I arrived at 8pm they told me it was over booked and my room was cancelled. That's it. They told me hotels.com was supposed to have emailed or called me, no one did. The hotel should have called me but never did. Just said room was cancelled and that's it. I had to coach the guy up front to call around to neighboring hotels to get me a room. Bad taste in my mouth for sure.

Showed up to the property at First. They did not have my reservation. The person in front of me. They had lost her reservation and she booked in January. The show I was going too I met another person who had booked the hotel and Sonesta had canceled them out that day. She arrived at the hotel at 8:30 PM to have to go to another hotel. I will never stay here again or recommend it as they cancel your reservation or they literally cannot find it.

We live in Anaheim CA, and because of a chemical spill in our area had to leave early for our stay on Sunday before Labor Day. We booked a King Size room and elected the upgrade to suite for an additional $32.00 We knew that it was subject to availability.

Upon our arrival we were informed that the facility was booked to capacity and we would not be allowed to upgrade to a suite. Our only other option was to rent a second room. Although we did not question it at the time, the excuse was that it was Labor Day weekend, and the hotel was "Full".

We felt something was off but decided to pay almost $200.00 for the extra room anyway. Upon staying, the facility did not seem to be booked to capacity, and in fact was pretty much empty. The parking lot was nowhere near full, and there seemed only to be a few guests. We can't help but think they took advantage of, and that the hotel was nowhere near full. When we looked at the card the person at the front desk gave us, we realized that it was not just a person working the front desk, but a person in charge of sales; we really felt we had been misled, taken advantage of and it ruined our stay.

At the tune of almost $400.00 we would have elected to, and stayed somewhere else, but ...we were stuck as a refund was never offered. Just a bad experience, and the loss of loyal customers. Be careful when booking "possible" upgrades.

Staff were friendly and helpful. That was only part of the stay that I liked. The room was just ok, the sofa chair was dirty and the carpets were dirty too. Toilet was draining slowly as well and there was no exhaust due to which the bathroom smelt damp especially after you use the bathroom.

We were placed near the laundry facilities and it was extremely noisy ALL NIGHT!! The shower took forever to get hot and the drainage in the shower is horrible. Felt like I was taking a bath due to the shower floor filling up with water and not draining. Had to get extra towels just to dry off the floor. The whole process was incredibly unnecessary and problematic! Don’t recommend staying at this property unless you’re willing to work for your stay.

This is my go-to convenient stay in Camarillo when moving my daughter in and out of the CSU dorms. The staff is excellent and the location is great for accessing the campus as well as restaurants and morning coffee. Decent bagels and a Starbucks within walking distance. They do charge extra for parking which is a bummer b/c it is a huge open parking lot all around so it seems like a money-grab. The rooms are pretty basic but clean and the beds are comfortable. It is usually pretty quiet as well which I always appreciate. Good value for the cost.

Staff (front desk) check in was disappointing. I was the only one checking in , and it seems like the lady wasn’t interested in doing her job so that’s pretty much a negative start. The hallway was dark and eerie and the carpets are dirty and disgusting. The Room was mehhh bed was comfy but the pillow cases it seems like it wasn’t changed. Finally the check out, we check out 5:30am I said “hello” a tall lady ( man) said, what do you need. Really!!! That is rude. And I said I’m checking out I have the room keys and she said ok, and I said no! There’s a reason I’m here I need my receipt. Without any word she just hand the paper didn’t even said “ thank you or anything “ so damn disappointed it should be negative star if I could them. Nevertheless first and last one that I’m staying on that damp.

Great location. Friendly Staff. There is only one elevator for such a big property so it was inconvenient to access it for rooms that are on the other end of the hotel. There is no complimentary breakfast and parking costs extra. I think it is more convenient and practical to get the other hotel brands in the area offering both full breakfast and parking for free since the cost will come out the same after you add it on to your final bill.

The room was clean and quiet. The microwave, internet, tv and bathroom were all in good working conditions. There is a small restaurant near the lobby but there are several restaurants and eateries within walking distance. We enjoyed our stay and had no problems or complaints with the service. The staff were helpful and courteous. There is no daily room clean-up which we do not need anyway but it can be requested if needed. There is always a room attendant nearby in the morning who provided what we needed.

Clean room, not really up to the standards that we have had at other Sonesta properties, but it was comfortable and quiet. Only issue with the room was the condition of the shower....it was clean enough, the shower pull on the run -off fixture didn't transfer most of the water to the shower-head. Most of the water was coming out of the water spout and filling up the tub with water with a thin stream coming out of the shower-head. Looks like they need to do an update on bathrooms. Staff was very pleasant at the desk and the ladies making up the rooms were very happy and pleasant in the hallways.

Location is great, just the showers were old and showing some wear/tear. Bedding is wonderful. Paying for parking is nickle and diming in my opinion.

You can tell them you just got dropped off and park your car within the plaza across the hotel, literally meters away. No way for them to know if you brought a car here or not. Also, they don't even check nor give you a parking pass . Don't tell them you park here.

As the property was ok, staff was fruendly. However the bathroom tub and baseboards were rusty. There was no room service. I find it absurd that at 150.00 a night i then have to pay 12.00 a day for parking and told to keep pass in window but no other cars in parkinglot had cards for window. Stayed as it was close to the cemetary we had to go to, but will not stay here again. Breakfast was extra, parking extra. Never again.

Front desk was very nice and efficient. My room didn’t have a security latch fully intact, room was clean but lacked maintenance, and only two large towels, no hand towels nor washcloths. At 7am housekeeping was knocking at the door to service our room. When we let housekeeping know we hadn’t checked out yet but would be soon, she rolled her eyes and gave this stare of death. Which was pretty hilarious. Not the best experience. There are many hotels within a few miles, I’d recommend to stay elsewhere if available.

I was very disappointed with my most recent stay at the Sonesta Select. In the past, we have had good experiences at this hotel, which made this visit especially surprising. Unfortunately, the room was not clean upon arrival. The curtains were visibly stained, the floors appeared not to have been vacuumed, and the doors were dirty. The sink had not been properly cleaned, and there was hair found in the beds and on the pillows, which was extremely unsettling.

Cleanliness is a basic expectation for any hotel, and this stay did not meet that standard. I hope this was an isolated incident and that cleanliness improves, as we previously enjoyed staying here.

I reserved two rooms for one night. Both of the rooms bathtubs had leaked quite a bit from the faucet. The walls are not very noise-proof. I could hear my neighbors talking and laughing until 1am. The staff was very welcoming and the check in/check out process was quick and easy.

Staff was friendly but there were several issues. TV didn’t work & there wasn’t any maintenance staff on duty to fix it. Flickering hallway light that was either an electrical issue or a bulb that needed to be changed out. Again, no maintenance staff on duty to fix the issue. Breakfast was listed as an option for the property but no breakfast actually available at the property. The staff recommended a deli down the street. Overall cleanliness was substandard too. I would not recommend this property to anyone & will never stay there again.
