Upon arriving, I was told that the ice machine didn't work and that the Wi-Fi on the entire property was really poor. Was also even told that the coffee which was available in the morning was bad. The rooms are always clean because that's a motel six policy but the parking at this hotel is extremely tight. I've stayed here before and the ice machine and Wifi are exactly the same thing today as they were months ago. With a few improvements, this could be a great hotel.

There was a homeless woman wandering around the pool courtyard making lout grunting nioses at 3 a.m. As I walked to the front desk (because they didn't answer the phone) a rat ran accross my path. There was no one in the office. I returned to my filthy room without seeing her. She was soon outside my door eating out of a bag of trash. I grabbed 4-$5's and a jacket I hadn't even worn yet and gave them to her. She cried and told her she was beautiful. I've stayed at the M6 a few times. I will never stay again. The place is dirty, rooms are dirty, beds are super hard.

After coming to this location for more than two years they STILL do not have an operational ice machine. They have ice buckets in the rooms though. The refrigerators in the rooms don’t even have freezer compartments.
Location is right off of the freeway which is a plus. The only staff person I have ever seen at this location is at check-in/check-out.

Internet was slow. We asked for the rooms to be cleaned between the two days we stayed but they didn't do it. Also we asked for an extra roll of TP but they were so adamant about not giving us any. That said, it wasn't bad If you just need a place to rest your head. Good enough for the price, clean overall.

This motel is a farce--I saw so called GOOD reviews--and it is a motel that now has people living in it during the year. My room was next door to a party room, where people came in and out at 4 a.m.m where the TV was up super loud ALL NIGHT LONG. I suspect to cover whatever was really going on in the room! I called the desk 3 times--the manager was comfortably sleeping, but I had just completed a 10 hour drive and got NO SLEEP ALL NIGHT! Don't stay here--EVER! I insisted on a refund in the morning and left. I haven't seen that refund yet. AWFUL!!!!!!

Pros- good price and location. Close to freeway, restaurants, stores and gas stations. Nice staff. Fridge in room for an additional $3. Allows dogs and has a dog area

Cons- due to the low cost, there were all walks of life that have different ideas of how to behave in a hotel. We had very loud and drunk people next door with a potty training puppy who kept barking. Beds were not comfortable. They said that the rooms were \"updated\" but to me it looked like they painted the room (& not very well), added a tv box around the tv and added a pop of color with a yellow towel holder. Corners of the room were dirty.
Will only stay again if necessary.

I had to change hotels after driving 4.5 hours since there was no bathtub stopper and it wasn't anywhere in the room. It smelled like smoke and incense to cover it up when it's a non-smoking room.

The staff member had no one else on duty before 6pm and maintenance staff left so she would have me change rooms to find out if a bathtub stopper.

The front desk lady was very nice but there were several people leaving when I came in that worked there. Hilton has maintenance staff there at 6pm to help and there isn't everyone leaving except 1 at 6pm

The ice machine wasn't working. They should address these issues. There was a dead plant at someone else's room.

I was moving back to SoCal from Washington for a new job, exhausted from the drive and a little anxious about starting over, and Motel 6 in Thousand Oaks ended up feeling like my first “welcome home” instead of just a place to crash for the night. From the moment I checked in, Sara and Conor greeted me like they were genuinely happy I was there, not just another reservation in the system, and took the time to ask about my move and how the drive had been. Conor noticed how much stuff I had packed into my car and helped me figure out the easiest way to get everything to the room, checking in later to make sure I had what I needed and that the room was quiet enough for a good night’s sleep. Mindy rounded it out by treating every interaction whether it was a quick question at the front desk or grabbing a fresh set of towels: as if I were a long‑time regular, not a one‑night guest passing through.
What really stood out was how the four of them together created a calm, friendly atmosphere at a time when everything in my life felt up in the air; they turned a basic motel stay into a moment where I could breathe, regroup, and actually feel excited about this next chapter. The room was clean, comfortable, and exactly what I needed, but it was their kindness, conversation, and genuine interest in my move that made it feel like more than just a hotel it felt like the first little piece of home on my way back to Southern California.

Average motel. Front desk person was was professional & friendly at check-in. Room itself was just a place to sleep for one night. Room had no heat. Front desk provided extra blankets. Tub & toilet seemed cleaned. Light switches and floor not sure if dirty or just stained. Outside premises well kept. Laundry room was accessible with washer & dryers. Close to restaurants, gas station & freeway. Would I stay again? If I was passing thru and needed a place for the night, sure.

Clean room and very kind staff. Unfortunately the vending machine and ice maker was broken during my visit but there's a restaurant a block away where I was able to get a cup of ice and a soda. Shout out to the receptionist who helped distract another guest who was roughed up and potentially intoxicated who wanted me to follow him to the restaurant (I did not wanna follow him), yous a true life saver lol.

It's a budget hotel, and for the price , I give it a 5 star. Staff was nice. Was a bit concerned leaving my car in the parking lot, as there were some sketchy people hanging around the building. At the same time, I also saw a few families. The double bed rooms are a bit nicer than the single ones. Read some of the bad reviews which made me hesitant booking here, but I didn't really have issues, no real complaints, maybe i got lucky. Keep in mind, you have to bring your own blankets, and maybe blow dryer. It's a budget motel afterall.

Staff was friendly, checking in and out was easy. It was the cheapest hotel I could find in the area. I was surprised that there wasn’t a single usb outlet in the hotel room which seems bizarre as we are nearing 2026. Hot water for shower was barely warm in the evening, but plenty hot in the morning which was odd. Overall it was ok and I didn’t let the little things that I mentioned get to me.

Key didnt work the second night. I was locked out and when i went to the office, they were closed. I was locked out for 30 mins when its 50 degrees outside. Finally after hearing the phone ring... an attendant arrived from the back. It looked like he was asleep.
