The rooms at the La Quinta Inn have recently been remodeled including brand new bathrooms including new sinks, showers, toilets and new occupancy sensor lighting which i loved. The beds are also brand new with brand new mattresses and also brand new furniture in the rooms including new dressers and nightstands and new televisions. The rooms are also equipped with mini fridges and microwaves. The rooms are absolutely beautiful. The flip side of this is that ALL of the rooms in the hotel are being remodeled and thus there was quite a bit of ongoing construction work being done the weekend we stayed there. The hotel is doing their best to minimize disruptions and they really are doing a good job. I was not disturbed at all and had a great stay. (The work is being done during the daytime when we were out visiting our family and friends). I highly recommend the La Quinta Inn

This was a horrible stay! I stayed for 2 nights. They put me in a room right outside the elevators, with a pool view. Both mornings from 8am-5pm they had construction outside my room that was on going. I called and wet to speak to the front desk, that was located on a side room. Thy were very friendly, but only insisted to relocate my room to the back!!!! After the first night?!?! Why didn’t you locate me knowing you had construction already?!?! I wasn’t happy!!! The next morning woke up with more construction at 8am!! Left with bare minimum sleep and loud noise all morning!!! It was a horrible stay!

Only towel in the room was full of hair. Construction started at 6:30 am right outside my door not 8 like I was told. Door barely latched like it was kicked in before. I moved a chair in front of it to make sure it didn’t just swing open on its own.

The room was in good condition but was not what I would have expected since it was supposably just remodeled. The exterior of the hotel was also in a bit of disarray as it was also being remodeled. Hopefully they will complete the remodeling soon. The pool and jacuzzi were nice which made our stay much better.

Ongoing construction, however the completed rooms are very comfy and clean. Elevator is a little sketchy and needs some work. Area around property could use a little cleaning up. No amenities. They didn't even have a lobby. The room was not complete with a 1.5\" gap at the bottom of the door to the room. Some of the staff were rude and this is a first for me - you had to ask for the room to be made up. Overall, I would recommend avoiding this hotel.

Winter 2025 Hotel is being remodeled. While the room was excellent, the grounds were a bit of a mess. The lobby/breakfast room was closed, so no Breakfast was offered, and no coffee was available. The staff was friendly and helpful, considering the mess. I happened to arrive during the rescue/recovery of a guest who drowned. I have stayed here before, and it's usually quiet. I am sure my stay was abnormal.

The 2nd room i had (had 2 rooms because of there being 7 of us) i went to pick up a towel to put them all together and there were so many cobwebs (i dusted it for you) to the left of the sink.

Floora were not swetp in either room.

Hair dryer needs to be mounted to the wall

Let people know where the light switch is for the top light above the bed.

The hotel is in the middle of a renovation. As a result, our room was really new and fresh, but some things not yet complete. The staff was great. There is brewed coffee available in the lobby all the time. But some rooms were not yet remodeled (our friends were in one of those.) The location is great and the price was very good comparative to other hotels in the area.

The property was under construction, my room had recently been updated and it was nice, the bed and pillows were wonderful. I think I was the only one staying at that hotel expect the construction workers. Maybe once the property is renevated it will be better. The chairs outside were all ripped, this property just need a major renovation, inside and out. The elevator was frightening, wasn't sure we would make it out. The price was right

Used to stay at this property for years. Was excited for their renovations. I got a new room and well there was no trash can so I had to put all my trash on the floor and the room wasn't very clean, hairs on the floor. The furniture wasn't quite new as the end table was missing wood. I remember it being it a step up from the average motel. The best was comfortable. And the toiletries were limited to shampoo and conditioner.

Breakfast was terrible and had the same things both days it even looked old and crusty. We did not eat. No towels by the pool or lock on gate to the pool. Honestly a terrible experience.

Room was situated in the back of the facility overlooking a parking lot where transients were roaming around,making noise and it was very disturbing. Felt very unsafe. There was no water pressure, the bathtub would not hold any water,, room two doors down was boarded and the elevator is not functioning properly . Overall appearance was unattractive, unkept, and unsafe.
We reside in Newbury Park and made these arrangements for our daughter traveling alone and visiting from another state. We were concerned there may be problems with the people hanging around in that area , however we did not realize the level of the problem. We also did not know about the lack of water pressure, and bathtub issues until she checked out. She didn’t want to complain until we questioned her and realized how uncomfortable she was.

I had to call Expedia then I had to go call the hotel then I had to call Expedia again a lot of back-and-forth on a phone call when I originally had made my reservation.I was given a horrible room. Had one amazing staff member come help us with the TV, she was great. The room was clean and cozy. The bathroom was clean and functional, the added bar was a nice touch.

We knew it was under construction but one night it was pitch dark on our side. A softball tournament must have been close by and the girls were running around pounding and screaming all through the night, they were even crank calling our room and we had to disconnect our phone . Given a room with heavy cigarette smoke smell. The property was aware as they had the AC on high in an attempt to clear the smell. They assigned us the room anyway. However they did move us at my request.

The property has being under renovation for a year but there is no evidence of any progress. The property and rooms are the same old, dingy dirty rooms. We stayed here before and thought the renovation would be done and the rooms were nicer. Not the case. They told us nothere would be no

Shower takes 5 minutes for a person to get wet. The tub is scratched and dirty in the corners. The tile grout is nasty dirty. The property does not provide wash cloths. Not sure how a person is supposed to wash. They do provide soap, shampoo and conditioner.

The breakfast consists of hard boiled eggs, cereals and a waffle station. Some old tangerines that should have been thrown away. The hard boiled eggs were old with grey yolks so I didn’t eat them. Heard stories from guests that the scrambled eggs and potatoes the day before were nasty. They said they couldn’t eat them

It’s amazing to me this property gets 90% rating on Expedia. It’s really more of a 70%. An okay place to stay if you’re on a budget and can overlook the things I mentioned.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! We travel often and planned on staying at the Palm Garden in Thousand Oaks!! Then we saw La Quinta close by. It was $50/day cheaper so we booked it. Considering that it was in Thousand Oaks, we thought it SHOULD be decent!! Out of all the hotels I've stayed in all over the nation, this is in the top 5 worst!!! Everything about it, food, empty soap, not enough towels, kind but unhelpful staff, jacked up elevator, crazy washing machine app, the room (dated and dirty)...just everything!!
The only good thing about it is the location. This hotel needs a COMPLETE makeover!!! I wonder what corporate thinks about the consistent horrible reviews!!

Delit (?) was amazing when we checked in! She advised us of remodeling in progress, and since we had grandkids with us, asked if we wanted a room overlooking the pool. There were some minor issues with the room ( needed more towels, etc), but easily taken care of. The kids really enjoyed the \"make your own waffles\" at breakfast, and enjoyed their pool time!
All of the staff we dealt with were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again!
