The noise! If you like blasting music; screaming, undisciplined children; and ignorant families who yell at each other from all over the property, then, between the direct neighbours partying all day (10:00 am to midnight) for three days straight and the ignorant guests yelling at each other from all over the property, as if it's their private estate, Villa Narmada is the place for you!

You'll also be content if you feel \"security\" means a wide open front lobby door at 1:30 am and the \"guard\" (the elderly grandfather of the owning family) fast asleep on the sofa, such that I just walked in and past him without waking him at all. (I mean, Mauritius is a very safe country. But, still, other places have gates and alert attendants.) The safe in my room was also an ancient relic, the instructions for which were impossible to understand. At least the closet had a lock and key.

Otherwise, sure, the furniture is second-hand, but, the cleaning staff do a dilligent job, everything worked, the pool was well maintained, and management was friendly.

No hot water for first 3 days of holiday. Staff were telling us when we should shower if we wanted hot water. Staff failed to realise my mother is a local Mauritian and when they were speaking about is in Creole my mother understood everything they were saying and she was shocked at how they were speaking about the customers who were staying at the facility. The sofas are all second hand ones that they buy and refurbish and the leather used is not fire retardant and the leather is just stapled onto the actual wooden sofa. Jacuzzi has not worked in years, yet they are busy building an extension to the apartments without even putting any effort into the premises they already have. Security working the front office was drunk every evening as well.

It is a good value for money. The great thing was that we were upgraded from room to apartment (balcony, kitchen and more space). Staff were very polite and communication was easy. Receptionist helped us with some tips, arranging the rent-a-car and transport from/to the airport. We were allowed to have a late check-out which we really appreciated.
The only negative thing was that surrounding streets didn’t have street lights so it was not very pleasant in the evening (not because of safety but simply unpleasant)

Well located to the Super U and other fast food outlets, ie. Debonairs, Steers, KFC, McDonalds, Fish Aways, Pizza Hut. The accommodation itself is neat, clean & well kept. The staff are extremely warm and also assisting with any request.

Booked a 2 bed apartment but had to take two separate rooms. No WiFi in my room, no air conditioning on arrival, safes were locked on arrival and never opened so had to strategically hide valuables, shower head kept falling down so had to hold the shower head, shower took a long time to get warm, no air conditioning in bathroom so very warm through day and night. Hardly saw staff on reception so unable to ask for help/maps etc.

Good budget accommodation run by a family.

Run by a family. We had a big appartment for 5 people including 3 kids with half board. Staff and family members were very friendly and helpful. Diner is served at sisters restaurant in Grand Bay. We got picked up for diner and dropped off afterwards.

The hotel has a nice big swimming pool. The hotel is close to shops where you can buy everything you need. You can walk to the beach in about 10-15 minutes.

Not Villa Nirvana.

On the downside, the bed was very hard, cold water showers until rectified after two complaints. Internet password was withheld like classified information, and manageress, Ruth, would insert the password on our devices herself. This was frustrating and annoying, to say the least. On the upside, the place is well situated, being only a short stroll to the Super U and other conveniences in Grand Bay.

Only 10 minutes walk to Grand Bay beach. 5 minutes walking to Restaurants and the Super U Store. For the price we got, it was better than expected and very good. The Receptionist is very friendly and eager to help. The room was clean and better than expected.

The staff were very friendly but they were havintage some maintenence issues. So we had a lot of leaking water.

We had alooked booked a 2 bed apartment but could not get this until the 2nd night of our stay due to it not being available because of leaking water.

Exceeded expectation.

For the price we got, we did not expect it to be that good. The lady at the reception desk welcomed us with a great smile and was very keen in helping us. The room was clean and better than expected.

The only disadvantage was that from our room we could hear the loud sqeaking sound of the security guard's door. Its quite annoying during the night.

A holiday to remember

We stayed for nearly 2 weeks at Narmada. We were very happy during our stay there. It is close to the supermarket, Grand Bay night life and the beautiful beach. The place was clean, the people were courteous and helpful, especially the lady in the reception. She was simply delightful. The road to the Narmada is quite new. We will definitely stay there again.

Amazing place to stay!

My friends and I stayed at the Villa Narmada for 3 days. Each day was amazing. The owner was very flexible with what we needed and was very friendly. The staff was very friendly as well. The rooms are clean and they have everything you need. The place is located within 7 minutes of walking to restaurants and the super U grocery store. I don't think I can recommend this place any more! Enjoy your stay.

Not really ....don't even think about it.

The Villa is on \"road\" which is basically dirt; no ashphalt no nothing. It did have a guard which was there all the time and this was comforting. The place had old furniture. The leg of the bed in one of the room broke when we sat on it because it was rotten (we are all slim and fit) and it took them 4 days to fix it, time in which my dad slept on a not so straight bed. As a positive, it was close to the supermarket!

The staff is very kind, each and every one of them. Maybe not too swift in replying the emails, that has to be improved, for sure.
The structure is in a great spot, 5 minutes walking to many restaurants and to the beachfront, however it is pretty quiet given the fact that it is located in a secondary alley.

The room is huge and has all the facilities for cooking, if you want to dine inside, and it had a lovely patio with pool view where you can chill out.
Breakfast was nothing special but anyway was good and did its job.

The room was cleaned every day, but definitely not thouroughly, they could do a lot better on that aspect. I had hair both in the shower and on the kitchen floor (and I'm balding, so I dare anyone to say it was mine!). The pillow cover was stained from the beginning and never changed.
And please, provide at least one little soapbar or something to shower...I get that this is a cheap accommodation (and I always bring some emergency stuff), but a hotel soapbar costs pretty much nothing and makes every guest happier.

Hébergement avec tout le confort, piscine et le calme absolu. A 2 mn de Grand Baie et du Super U. Merci à Ruth et à son staff pour le charmant accueil toujours à l écoute. Merci à Sheila d avoir été notre fée du logis , à Rakesh notre chauffeur et guide de nous avoir fait visiter l île, au veilleur de nuit toujours souriant, staff piscine et autre très courtois. Si je devais revenir à l île Maurice je reviens ici.

Vi hadde frokost inkludert, den fikk vi ta når vi ville, de er veldig fleksible. De hjalp oss med fikse egen bil til de turene vi ønsket og være med på, veldig grei måte og se nye ting på.

Sentral beliggenhet ift butikker som stormarked. Ikke wifi tilgang på rommene. Kun få av personalet som kunne snakke engelsk.
Kunne ønsket meg litt mer vennlighet og i møterommene personal, personalet som vasket rommene gjorde en fantastisk jobb.
Under vårt opphold bodde det andre gjester som tok helt over fellesarealene, de fikk tilsnakk uten at det hjalp. Mye unødvendig støy, selvom vi var på vårt eget rom. Kommer ikke til å bo der igjen.

Séjour de deux semaines passé en ce lieu ..Le personnel est d'une gentillesse à toute épreuve ...Ruth est une personne charmante mettant tout en oeuvre pour satisfaire nos besoins ...quelques problèmes de wifi en début de séjour ,résolus par la suite sont à peine venu entacher ce séjour ..le plus pour ce lieu est lié à un hyper super U très proche ..

cet établissement est très bien situé à 15mn de la plage et 5mn de super U bien pratique pour faire ses courses car la chambre est equipée pour faire la cuisine ! l'endroit dispose d'une petite piscine nettoyée tous les matins les chambres sont faites aussi tous les jours ( merci SHEILA ) le personnel est acceuillant et vous renseigne bref nous avons passés un chouette séjour nous recommanderons avec plaisir cet hôtel à nos amis

Appartamento molto spazioso e pulito!le pulizie e cambio asciugamani vengono fatti tutti i giorni escluso festivi e domeniche. Personale super gentile !
Vicinissimo al centro, alle spiaggie di Grand Baie e al supermercato, distano solamente 5 minuti a piedi percorrendo una via secondaria di notte completamente al buio!

部屋は綺麗に整えられ、調理器具も必要十分。
朝5時チェックインの夜12時チェックアウトという変則的な時間帯だったにも関わらず(オフシーズンだったから？)アーリーチェックインとレイトチェックアウトにも無料で対応してくれ、大変ありがたかった。
シャワーの排水口が詰まっていたこと(自分で直して掃除した)とお湯が出にくかったことだけが少し残念。

SEJOUR AU TOP

On y a séjourné 7 jours, 2 adultes et 3 enfants.
On a aimé la proximité avec le centre-ville, mais surtout l’accueil et la gentillesse du personnel.
Ruth, très gentille, a été à notre écoute pour nos demandes, sorties...repas... Comme nous avons perdu nos bagages, elle nous a proposé de faire le nécessaire. Même à 22h, on a pu s’arranger pour avoir nos repas à la Villa Narmada (car il n’y a pas de restaurant sur place).
Le nettoyage est fait chaque jour, sauf le dimanche. Sheila, qui était chargée du ménage a été très sympa avec nous, et a fait du bon boulot, malgré la présence de 3 enfants, elle s'organisait pour nettoyer lorsqu'ils étaient dans la piscine, et avant les siestes. Travail impeccable.

Hotel gradevole e silenzioso

Hotel composto da appartamenti ampi e moderni, vicino al mare.A poca distanza si trova un grande iper mercato, locali, negozi e la fermata del bus che collegano tutta l'isola.L'unica cosa negativa è la via dell'hotel che è poco illuminata.Il personale è molto gentile e disponibile, la signora della reception parla anche italiano.Consiglio questa struttura.

Erittäin rauhallisella ja hyvällä paikalla oleva pieni hotelli. Lähellä iso ostoskeskus ja iso supermarketti
Hotellin henkilökunta oli erittäin joustavaa meidän erikoistoiveen suhteen. Lyhyt matka kävellä rannalle ja bussipysäkille, josta pääsee lähirannoille ja pääkaupunkiin. Erittäin todennäköisesti palaan hotelliin toisenkin kerran.

Rauhallinen sijainti hyvällä paikalla

Hotelli on hyvällä sijainnilla lyhyen matkan päästä ostoskeskuksesta sekä rannoista. Grand Baien ja La Cuvetten ranta on kävelymatkan päässä. Pereyberen ja Mont Choisyn ranta on lyhyen taksimatkan päässä. Itse ihastuimme Pereyberen rantaan. Meidän hotellihuone oli alakerrassa, josta oli vain muutama askel uima-altaaseen. Allas oli siisti. Siivous oli joka päivä ja pyyhkeet vaihdettiin samalla. Kaikin puolin mukava hotelli. Ainoat miinuspuolet olivat silloin tällöin temppuileva oven lukko sekä tallelokero, johon ei ollut avainta. Hotellia suosittelen heille, jotka haluavat rauhallista hotellia rauhallisella sijainnilla.

Le ménage est effectué tous les jours.
Le mobilier de la cuisine demanderai à être rénové. Wifi pas terrible dans l'appartement 50€ de hors forfait......un peu bruyant avec la villa en face.sinon bon rapport qualité /prix.

Nous avons été surclassés dans un appartement spacieux. Résidence près de la ville. Ménage fait. Nous avons apprécié la gentillesse du personnel. Manque un peu plus de contact avec eux, d'animation et un peu de batterie de cuisine. Dans l ensemble, nous sommes satisfaits de notre séjour.

The apartment is well located 10-15 minutes walking distance from the centre of Grand Bay. The road is a bit too dark. Villa Narmada is a basic accomodation: ideal for those who like to be indipendent to travel around the island, without too many unnecessary hotel services. The room is cleaned everyday (excluding Sundays).

L'hôtel est à 5 minutes d'un grand centre commercial et d'un bazar, à 10 minutes d'une petite plage très sympathique et 15 20 minutes d'un très belle plage.
L'hôtel est très bien placé vous avez accès à des bureaux de change et des offices tours près de l'hôtel.
Une vingtaine de lieux restauration du petit au gros budget.
Accueil très agréable du personnel et de la gérante.
Tout les matins le lit est fait, lesserviettes les torchons sont changer, la chambre est nettoyer.
Vous avez votre indépendance avec une petite cuisine avec tout l'équipe a disposition.
Prévoir sont propres gel douche shampooing et dentifrice.
A disposition aussi une piscine qui est nettoyer tout les matins.
