Overall, nice hotel. Found it fairly quiet. The room smelt beautiful, very spacious, a dip in the sofa (but didnt use it to be honest) tv options not great and reception for tv not great ( but again, didnt use). Reception not always open. Bar choices not fabulous, staff friendly. Nice wallking views down grand bae. Overall, was a good experience.

It was probably worse place I stayed the whole 3 weeks I was in Mauritius. My dhower doors were broken and the drain in the shower would not drain, so it flooded the bathroom and there were a lot of bugs in my Room

We visited off-season in May and stayed only one night as a stopover in Grand Bay.

Pros:
Clean room.
Close to Grand Bay main shops and beach - about 5 mins drive.

Cons:
The games area can do with some new pool cues. They didn't even have a cue tip on the end and the table itself is falling apart.
Although we visited off season and only a stop over for visiting Grand Bay, I would have expected the pool to be clean.

We unfortunately left our travel iron there and no one made an attempt to let us know that we had. We only realised when we returned to the South of the island which by then would have been over an hour's drive back up North to collect it.

This is such a lovely place we had excellent service the staff are so lovely it’s perfect. And guess what they have breakfast in the room, simply said we had the time of our lives. One thing we didn’t like the light guard didn’t like us coming late from party and complained so much, we felt a bit odd, but later he told us he wanted us to be safe and early home we had such a lovely time thank you Expedia and Stela Rina we for ever love you.

Excellent stay in Stella Rina

I really enjoyed my stay at Stella Rina. The service and hospitality were top. Breakfast and dinner were far beyond my expectations. The staff did everything to facilitate my stay. This small hotel deserves to be fully booked. I hope to come back one day.

nice new hotel at Grand Baie

Great stay at Stella Rina, a new hotel at Grand Baie. Rooms are very clean, beds are very comfortable. Breakfasts and diners are also very good. There is a small beach close to the hotel but if you have a car or if you take a taxi, you have the nice beach of Mon Choisy, close to the hotel. Staff is very kind. A lot of excursions or activities are proposed by the hotel, so you can spend a lot of days there. We recommend it!

we could not even sleep there we have to go and find another place. The woman that i suspect as owner had a nasty attitude towards us. No refrigerator in the room.When we wanted to change our room the guy that we find at the reception could not do it for us because the owner was not there.

Comfortable and clean rooms.

We had a lovely stay at Stella Rina. The whole place is newly refurbished, modern and very clean. Staff were helpful, but if you speak French you'll have a big advantage. The restaurant had lovely food although I feel it was overpriced. The guesthouse is not in the main area in Grand Baei but not too far either.

Poolen var slidt og ikke særlig ren og der kunne godt være flere solsenge med madrasser, der var slet ingen madrasser at ligge på. Ellers et rigtig godt ophold.
Værelserne trænger til en lille renovering, det er efterhånden noget slidt.

Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und sauber, leider konnte man dies nicht immer von den Handtüchern sagen. Die Ausstattung war jedoch etwas spartanisch. Bedauerlicherweise war die Klimaanlage recht laut. Zudem ging die Klimaanlage immer wieder aus, wahrscheinlich durch die häufigen Stromausfälle. Das Personal war größtenteils freundlich. Die Hotelanlage ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Der Pool war jedoch verschmutzt, sodass nur der Hund darin badete. Zum Frühstück wird jeden Tag der gleiche, vorgefertigte Teller (Eispeise, Crêpe, kleines Croissant und ein paar Stücke Obst) gereicht. Dazu gibt es dann Instantkaffee.

Rommet er relativt stort og med en bra dusj. Sengen imidlertid er meget hard og frokosten helt ordinær. Det som trekker ned mye er størrelsen på bassenget og manglende solsenger. En burde også hatt flere blant personalet som snakker engelsk.

Awful place

We have booked a room in Stella Rina Guest House for 5 nights and left already after 2 nights.
When we arrived, we were very shocked about the surrounding of the guest house. It is in the middle of a construction area and the place around the hotel is anything else than charming. We felt absolutely uncomfortable. The comfort in the guest house itself was very basic, the check-in was anything else than professional and the breakfast was below average standards.

The owner of the hotel confirmed by mail that they would do the necessary steps to reimburse us for the nights we did not stay there and which we paid in advance. After several mails from our side and from the booking agency they refused to pay back the money. All in all a very disappointing experience.

We are also of the opinion that the rate per night is far to expensive for this guest house. For that rate there are much more charming hotels, right at the beach front. The pool looks so old an dirty that no one was bathing in it.

Heureusement que le service du personnels s'occupe de nous.

Piscine sale, dans notre chambre cabine de douche cassé et absence d'évacuation d'eau.

Les chambres devrais avoir un petit coup de rénovation.

L'annonce dis TV avec chaînes satellite, faux uniquement les chaîne Local.

A notre départ peronne pour nous accueillir à l'accueil.

Complexe de chambres d'hôtes sympathique avec piscine, billard et fléchettes. Nous sommes tombés sur une bonne semaine car le complexe était pratiquement désert alors nous avons pu profiter de tout sans problème.

Nous avons tout particulièrement apprécié le personnel hyper accueillants et à l’écoute (merci à Dani et au jeune hommes qui cuisinait). Les patrons n’etaient pas très présents, et même absents au pot d’accueil... Le petit déjeuner anglais servis chaque matin était top, toujours accompagné de bouteilles d’eau bien fraîches pour survivre au soleil mauricien.

Cependant, nous trouvons qu’il serait intéressant d’améliorer les chambres : décodeur canal + qui coupe toutes les 30min, support à papier toilette qui se casse la figure, pas de mouchoirs à disposition et cintres en fer non assortis et très très fatigués. Par ailleurs, nous avons eu un matelas très confortable dans une chambre spacieuse (alors qu’il s’agissait de la moins onéreuse) avec une climatisation et un petit frigo efficaces.

Nous avons pu rejoindre le centre de Grand Bay facilement mais nous aimons marcher. Le patron nous a indiqué un magasin de location de scooter juste à côté qui nous a cependant facilité la vie pour les plus longs trajets.

J ai quitté l hôtel le lendemain car hôtel coincé dans une ruelle pas de plage à proximité, pas de clients, petit déjeuner pas copieux.Piscine minuscule et Sale. J ai réservé ailleurs hotel pieds dans l eau et beaucoup plus agréable. Dommage car personnel très accueillant et sympa. Je ne conseille pas cet établissement
