Helpful staff but they are very busy, room was nice but ant can infest so make sure its cleaned everyday. Modern hotel and infinity pool is amazing, hotel is on the beach and cocktails are nice. Food is average could be better. Parking is rare but a car is needed. Shopping mall and bars/rest 10 min drive away.

DO NOT STAY HERE

1) It is not adults only - there were young children and babies in the pool and bar every day of my stay. Hotels.com is refusing to remove the adults only claim from its website.
2) It is right next to a local car park which the locals use for parties, all night, with drums. The hotel staff refused to do anything about this.
3) The daily cleaning of the room consists of them removing towels but not replacing them- I repeatedly had to ask reception for towels to shower with!
4) If somehow you manage to get a beach towel from the bar, hang onto it, they say you can have a new one everyday, but most days they didn't have any available, and one day they gave me one that was already used and wet!
5) Despite numerous conversations with reception regarding the children, the cleanliness and the noise levels from the bar and car park, the only response I was given was a stroppy 'we will look into it'

There are so many hotels in Mauritius, do not ruin your trip by choosing this one.

I really liked that it was really close to the beach, the cosy lounge and terrace.
I really did not like the loud music in the evening it's like the hotel had a club at the second floor.
It is really convenient that it was close to the bus stop.
The area in which the hotel is situated (Mont Choisy very close to trou aux beaches) is very nice.
The wireless connection is very poor most of the time it is not working.

Comfortable stay, needs some maintenance

The stay at Mystik was very comfortable and convenient. The location is beautiful and right on the beach. The view from the restaurant and bar is amazing.

Some negatives:
I stayed on ground floor and unfortunately people could be heard moving and talking quite loudly in the corridor very early in the mornings, also the sliding doors in the room got stuck quite often and need maintenance.

Nice hotel. On the beach. Very good bar upstairs. Lovely to see the sunset. Although it doesn't have its own proper beach the is a very nice public one just next to it.
Didn't like that wifi was not working in the rooms at all. Only in lounge and restaurant.

Perfect for business travel

I travel to Mauritius for business and find that the Mystik is the perfect hotel for this purpose as they have the restaurant, the middle level where you can sit and work and the top Bar. You never have to feel alone even if you travel alone.

Firstly want to thank all the Mystik staff for their great service. They are friendly, attentive and very helpful. 5 stars. Food is good and drinks are too!

I recomend this hotel for young travelers. Its got a great vibe and aesthetic. Also well priced for Mauritius.
Would love the hotel to offer a few complimentary water sports but still loved my stay!

Good Boutique Hotel

Mystic Lifestyle is a great Boutique style hotel with a great location near Mont Choissy beach. It is a quick walk from the hotel and they will also provide you with beach towels. The restaurant had good food, and excellent service, though a car is recommended to try other restaurants in the Grand Baie area as there isn't much by way of other food options close by. There is a small pool one can enjoy as well. The WiFi in the room came in and out, but was a little better outside by the pool and the common areas. All in all, an enjoyable stay, and I would probably stay there again.

Average hotel, with poor amenities

The hotel is located at one end of Mont Choisy beach, to which it has direct access. The hotel does not have a beach itself, but a small infinity pool, whose size is further limited by two large inflatable floats. There are a few loungers with sunshades, but inadequate cushions and insufficient capacity for the hotel guests. Wifi coverage is slow and limited to some public areas of the hotel. Ordinary quality breakfast. No lift, but staff will help with luggage if asked.

Perfect place to enjoy Mauritius

We really had a very relaxing and happy 9 days in this hotel, which is very modern and serves all your needs. The Sky Bar offers some good deals especially with the happy hour on fridays. But the sea view and the swimming pool are just enough to escape and relax. We then felt the draw of the island and wanted to visit other beaches (Trou-aux-biches, Grand Baie, Perybere, Flic en Flac) but these I have mentioned are all very similar to Mont Choisy (or even a tad worse in some respects!). If you move, Ile aux cerfs is the ONLY place which deserves you momentarily leave the north! Yes Port Louis, Pamplemousses botanic gardens, Chateau de Labourdonnais, the tour of the south can all be very good experiences (perhaps better to avoid Mahebourg) but the Mystik would be just enough for you to enjoy a perfect holiday and local life at the same time. Staff were all very available and friendly (yes wi-fi was not great but to be honest who needs wi-fi in a place like this? Also, I doubt connection can be any better in other parts of the island..)

Next to beach but not much else

Great location for during the day, right next to a lovely beach. Not so good for the evenings as nothing in terms of shops and bars within walking distance. The rooms were nice. Staff were a bit hit and miss as was the onsite restaurant. We emailed the hotel prior to our stay to mention it was our honeymoon but didn't receive any response. Again mentioned by me when checking in but no special touches done by the hotel to acknowledge this which was a shame.

A winner !

The staff were very friendly and made the environment comfortable. Meals were fantastic, entertainment area could not be faulted (the comfortable cushions and lounging area for tanning around the pool was unique and enjoyable). Hotel room was spotless with a little self catering kitchenette which offered microwave/griller, stove, basin and basic cutlery and crockery, also a mini bar fridge for our convenience. We will definitely go back to this hotel for sure.

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour au Mystik hotel.
Les chambres sont propres et calmes, l'hôtel est bien situé à proximité immédiate de la plage de Mont Choisy.

Cependant, le point noir de l’hôtel est le restaurant avec une qualité variable entre les plats et un service très relax disons. Le premier soir, choisissants la facilité, nous avons dîné à ce restaurant, mais nous sommes partis avant le dessert, car nous avions déjà attendu longtemps pour notre plat, et attendre 20 min pour un brownie avec sa glace vanille était clairement trop long (nous étions tout au plus 7 à manger ce soir là).
Le lendemain matin, nous devions partir à 8h pour une plongée, le petit déjeuner commençant à 7h30 nous avons demandé de nous le préparer pour l’avoir dans la chambre comme c’était proposé. Cependant nous avons reçu un “sandwich” pain de mie blanc avec des tranches de cheddar bas de gamme, des pommes pas mûres, des flocons d’avoine et des mini briques de lait. Pas très appétissant tout ça.
Le lendemain matin à 7h30 nous sommes allés au petit déjeuner espérant avoir le temps de manger un bout quand même, mais après 25min nous avons seulement été servi des tranches de fruits et 2 minis pains au chocolat/croissant, alors que nous avions demandé à être servi rapidement… 25min pour préparer deux bols de céréales avec du yaourt et nous étions 3 dans la salle ce matin là

Totally ok hotel, with amazing view of the sea from the restaurant and pool area. With that said lazy waiters and waitresses, 5 people working, with 3 tables, and instead of serving me, they stood and chatted by the bar for 10min. Drinks took the same time as it was a full bar, even tho is it was 6 people in the hotel. Slow service in general, and a bit nonchalant.

Very expensive drinks for some reason, food ok price. 7/10

O hotel é muito sujo. A limpeza do quarto é ruim e o meu quarto ficou alagado devido a vazamentos e não fizeram nada além de colocar toalhas no piso sem resolver o problema. As toalhas de banho são velha bem como a roupa de cama. O hotel completamente alagado com a chuva e sem nenhuma estrtura de lazer nestes dias.

La piscine et le restaurant étaient très bien très bel endroit.
Par contre l’insonorisation de la chambre située au rez-de-chaussée était vraiment déplorable. On entends les gens passer comme si ils étaient dans la pièce , ainsi que la sonnette de la cuisine et un boum boum de musique jusqu’à 00h/01h du matin.
Une seule chaise sur la terrasse. Pas de serviette disponible à deux reprises alors qu’il est écrit qu’on a le droit à une par personne et par jour. Nous avions pris un extras vue mer (10€ par personne pour la chambre) nous étions finalement entre les arbres et on voyait vraiment qu’un bout de plage.
Un peu déçu de l’hôtel et des prestations par rapport à ce qu’il dégage sur les photos et les descriptions.

Vi bodde på Mystik två veckor och trivdes väldigt bra!
Vill du bada i havet går du bara en bit längs med stranden då det är stenigt nedanför hotellet. Det är även promenad avstånd till Trou-aux-Beaches.
Genom hotellets taxichaufför kan du köpa guidade turer över ön, väldigt prisvärt och du lägger rutten så du själv önskar. Väldigt duktig guide med enorm kunskap kring Mauritius!
Restaurangen på hotellet är kanon, men önskar du lite variation är en taxiresa på 10min till Grand Baie ett bra alternativ. Prova italienska La Botteghita -Grym pasta och gigantiska pizzor som går att dela en på två pers!
Ett promenad/löpstråk går precis utanför hotellet längs med havet där träden skyddar från solen, perfekt för morgonpromenader.
Personligt, charmigt och perfekt för avkoppling, ett plus till är Sky Loungen!
Rekommenderar varmt detta ställe!

Etablissement très bien situé, très proche de la grande ville, hôtel pieds dans l'eau, personnel très aimable et serviable, chambre de luxe très spacieux, petit bémol la machine NESPRESSO ne fonctionnait pas malgré notre relance, la personne qui s'occupait de notre chambre était excellent 10/10. Mon seul reproche est pour le petit déjeuner lors de ma réservation, je n'ai pas pu cocher la case petit déjeuner (je ne sais pas pourquoi) car j'ai cocher supplément pour la chambre de luxe, de ce fait le petit-déjeuner était en supplément je trouve très cher 502 rs soit 12,88 € par personne, nous voyageons souvent c'est la 1ière fois que je paie pour un petit-déjeuner, ayant la formule 'luxe\" cela aurait été normal d'avoir un petit déjeuner offert. Rien avoir avec l’hôtel mais il est bien de le préciser quant même, de ne pas prendre de taxi se trouvant devant l’hôtel, ni d'acheter des fruits ou glaces au marchand , ceux sont des \"voleurs\" et personnes très agressives, nous en avons fait les frais ainsi que d'autres touristes.

Petit hôtel à la décoration soignée. Les espaces sont agréables, chambre, lounge, rooftop bar, restaurant, espace détente face à la mer, tout est très joli. La piscine est principalement décorative car juste en face du restaurant et fermée à partir de 19h. Le système de demi pension avec un crédit utilisable pour les plats mais aussi pour les boissons est très pratique car il permet une grande flexibilité si l'on souhaite diner dehors un soir ou prendre un cocktail aux lieu d'un entrée. Le montant du forfait correspondait bien à notre usage. Le personnel est sympathique mais il y a quelques imprécisions dans l'organisation: Plus de serviettes dans la chambre après le ménage, pas assez de stock de serviettes de plages donc impossibilité d'en avoir certains jours, coupure du courant dans la chambre par le personnel de nettoyage alors que le frigo est en route et contient des choses, erreur sur la facture finale. Tout ceci se règle rapidement avec le personnel. A noter que le restaurant est ouvert aux public donc certains soir en fin de semaine il y a du monde et il faut attendre un peu. Le point positif est que l'on se sent un peu moins entre touristes. Le petit bout de plage devant l'hôtel n'est pas vraiment propice à la baignade mais on accède directement à la magnifique plage de Mont Choisi et à 50m on peut profiter de la plage à l'ombre des filaos.

Restaurant sympa ou lon y mange bien mais la musique certains jours un peu trop forte

Les Points negatifs sont une seule carte pour l entree dans la chambre,j'ai demande a avoir une seconde carte car mon mari etait partie faire une plongee et jai longtemps attendu que l on vienne ouvrir et je n ai jamais eu une deuxieme carte....
Surtout ne pas donner de linge a laver car prix exorbitant....

Hotel sulla spiaggia di Mont Choisy

Albergo molto curato, bella vista sulla lunga spiaggia. Camera molto grande e confortevole. Pulizia perfetta. La colazione abbondante anche se monotona. Alcuni membri dello staf decisamente molto carini e disponibili. Posteggio piccolo, ma sulla strada ci sono molti posti e il guardiano dell’hotel controlla 24/24h le auto dei clienti.

Buono ma non per una luna di miele...

Hotel posizionato praticamente su una delle spiagge più belle dell'isola.
Ambiente giovanile.
Ottima la posizione per le varie escursioni.
Il personale si è dimostrato gentile anche se quando non riuscivamo a farci capire in inglese tra di loro si lanciavano sguardi e risatine che mettevano un pò di disagio.
Consiglio questo hotel soprattutto ai giovani.
Noi eravamo in luna di miele e anche avvisando la struttura,in camera non ci hanno fatto trovare nessun benvenuto.
Hotel senza ascensore e al check in le abbiamo salite noi,al check out invece abbiamo trovato un addetto disponibile.
Pulizia sufficiente.
Colazione discreta e ripetitiva.
Ristorante buono,ma gli spaghetti ai frutti di mare con la panna li eviterei per noi italiani.
Hanno grandi margini di miglioramento,spero che capiscano per la loro crescita di formare il loro personale in modo più addeguato e di migliorare i punti menzionati.

Guter Ansatz, leider mangelhaft umgesetzt

Das Hotel liegt sehr schön direkt am öffentlichen Strand von Mont Choisy. Restaurants, Bars und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten finden sich leider erst in den einigen km entfernten Orten Grand Baie oder Trou aux Biches. Beides ist aber mit dem Bus (fährt nur bis etwa 19 Uhr) oder Taxi/Mietwagen gut zu erreichen.

Das Hotel versteht sich als Ort, an dem Gäste und Einheimische zusammenkommen können. Erstmal toll und sympathisch. Leider versuchen sie Gäste anzulocken, indem sie den Poolbereich ab 12 Uhr Mittags mit lauter Musik beschallen, die sich dann ab 17 Uhr mit anderer lauter Musik in der Skybar über dem Pool mischte. Auf dem Zimmer angekommen durften wir dann bis 23 Uhr jeden Abend der ebenfalls sehr lauten Musik des Nachbarhotels lauschen.

Der Service entsprach leider auch nicht dem Preis der Zimmer. Das Housekeeping klopfte ab 08:30 Uhr solange an der Tür, bis wir diese entnervt öffneten und um Aufschub baten. Ein \"Do not disturb\" Türanhänger war leider nicht verfügbar. Trotz anhängendem Restaurant und Bar war es auch nach dreimaliger Nachfrage unmöglich, frische Wassergläser zu bekommen. Die Mitarbeiter scheinen insgesamt sehr unbeholfen und schlecht geschult.

Hotel chaleureux avec un très bon restaurant

Qualité du personnel , propreté des chambres , il ne manque plus que le wifi dans les chambres et une tv qui fonctionne avec des chaînes satellite et vous serez dans le top five de Maurice ! Encore merci pour ce très beau séjour .

Kleines hippes hotel in direkt am Meer

Kleine überschaubare Anlage direkt am Meer mit schöner Aussicht auf das Meer über 3 Etagen. Super nettes Personal von der Rezeption bis zum Restaurant und Bar. Tolles , sehr cooles Ambiente, mit vielen besonderen Aktionen, Partys! Viele Gäste auch aus dem eigenen Land. Zimmer sind dem Standard entsprechend simpel eingerichtet, allerdings hat es tolle super bequeme Betten und gute Bettwäsche. Hotel liegt zwischen Mont choisy und Trois au Biches man kann immer am Strand entlang laufen. Restaurant offeriert eine sehr gute Küche mit etwas überhöhten Preisen. Alles in allem stimmt das Angebot. Wir haben unseren Urlaub sehr genossen und freuen uns auf ein Wiedersehen mit Franc Michel, Jeff, Valerie, best Girl on the floor.., and all the rest of the team. Flott hotell, forferdelig dårlig service

Hotellet er veldig bra til å være tre stjerner; rent, fine rom. Veldig bra frokostbuffet. God mat på restuaurant om kvelden.

- det går gatehunder i restauranten, som til tidvis markerer på bordbein osv. Dette er veldig uappetittelig og uhygenisk. Personalet gjør desverre ikke noe for å jage hundene ut.
- solsengene og svømmebassenget tilhører restauranten og ikke hotellet. Det er mange som kommer for å spise lunsj på hotellet, og disse benytter seg da av solsengene. Det er totalt ca 10 solsenger, det burde vært minst 25.
- vi hadde problemer med at air conditionanlegget plutselig skrudde seg av om natten. Da jeg formidlet dette til resepsjonen var responsen at det var jeg som hadde ødelagt ACen. Lite forståelse fra hotellet, og de fikk dette til å bli en konflikt hvor vi følte at vi bare var til bry. En nonchalant holdning fra personalet, serviceinnstilling var fraværende.
- vaskepersonalet hadde ved flere anledninger ikke låst balkongdøren etter vasking. Dette var et gjentagende problem, og jeg snakket selv med vaskedamen og resepsjonen og forklarte problmemet. Problemet vedvarte, og vi kunne ikke være sikre på at rommet til enhver tid var låst. Dette var litt ubehagelig da vi bodde i første etasje, men det gikk heldigvis bra.
- ved check-out hadde jeg blitt belastet dobbelt for frokost. Igjen var det lite forståelse fra resepsjon.Igjen måtte jeg krangle for å få de til å forstå at jeg hadde booket rom med frokost. Det skal være unødvendig.

Hotel semplice in riva al mare, camere abbastanza confortevoli , silenzioso comodo per raggiungere facilmente ristoranti e negozi a Gran Baia e Trou Biches. La colazione scarsa è piuttosto costosa

Nettes kleines Hotel

wir verbrachten nach Ende einer Kreuzfahrt durch den Indischen Ozean noch 4 Nächte hier. Die Zimmer waren sehr groß und das Badezimmer mit der Regendusche einfach Spitze. Wir genossen den Infinity Pool mit Blick aufs Meer und den kurzen Weg zum Badestrand. Beim angebotenen Frühstücksbüffet war alles vorhanden für einen guten Start in den Tag. Die Dinnerkarte war zwar nicht sehr groß aber mit ausgezeichneten Gerichten . Gerne wieder.

Petite structure au calme

Hôtel de 35 chambres sur 3 niveaux.
Chambre spacieuse et propre
Personnel compétent et à l'écoute
Qalle de bain très bien avec douche à l'italienne
Tres bonne pression d'eau et bonne température aux heures de pointe
Lounge au 1er étage..... fauteuils à revoir
Bar au 2eme étage très belle vue sur l'océan
Deux bémols : pas de plage devant l'hôtel mais à quelques dizaines de mètres et la musique techno trop forte lors des soirées happy hours.

Per tutta la pubblicità dei social ti aspetti altro .... ho prenotato una camera vista mare ma era tutto ricoperto da alberi
-Colazione deludente ...non vale il prezzo
-Camera pulita molto bene però arrivavano sempre formiche alcune volte anche sul letto... la colpa non è dovuta all addetto delle pulizie
-Molte lucertole fuori al balcone, la sera non potevi tenere la porta aperta del terrazzo perché entravano in camera come è capitato a noi
- personale molto cordiale e disponibili
- un ponto in più al personale del ristorante con servizio elegantee preciso nonostante la sala piena , menu da ampliare un po’
- zona piscina molto bella però pochi lettini mare a disposizione
-sky bar molto bello e organizzato
- la posizione è strategica molto vicina a gran baie
La struttura spero che migliori poiché ha un ottimo potenziale e un ottimo staff.

Perfektes Hotel

Das Hotel war für uns als Päärchen perfekt. Es ist nicht zu groß, nicht zu klein, modern, stylisch, sauber, das ganze Personal super freundlich, Lage super, gute Küche a la Carte, kaum Familien mit Kindern uvm. Das Frühstück war jetzt nicht super Vielfältig, aber hat ausgereicht. Man kann auch omelette beim Koch bestellen. Die Blicke von der Terasse (Restaurant), Dachterasse oder vom Pool sind auch einmalig.
Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen und werden es unseren befreundeten Paare weiterempfehlen.

Schönes Hotel direkt am Meer

Das Hotel macht einen guten Eindruck und insbesondere die Dachterrasse hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Man darf nur nicht so ganz genau hingucken, zum Teil sind die Möbel schon etwas abgewohnt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, hat uns jedoch immer wieder auf französisch angesprochen.

Der Pool und die super bequemen Liegen davor fanden wir super, wir hatten aber auch das Glück das nicht viel los war. Generell war eher eine Hostel- als eine Hotel-Atmosphäre, was wir persönlich aber sehr angenehm fanden.
