Only disappointment was that we booked a sea view room and there was NO sea view.. it was a pool view!
Plus beach is not swimmable out front.

Dorado was delicious in the Clipper restaurant which has a lovely view.

This hotel is a little gem on the west coast of Mauritius. All the staff on reception, in the restaurant, in housekeeping and all other staff were always welcoming, friendly and happy to assist you and give you information about the area.
Recommend hiring a car which allows you to explore the area. We drove down to the Black River gorge which was amazing, definitely recommend a visit there. The hotel have details of a great company that delivers & collects the car for you.
If you are looking for a small friendly hotel in a peaceful location, with a lovely restaurant overlooking the sea, I would thoroughly recommend the Voile Bleue.

Small and friendly staff at reception and Le Skippers restaurant. Entrance areas were unique with artworks and books. Our room balcony had view over pool and to the sea beyond - just what we wanted. There was a toaster, kettle and microwave as well as a cooktop which would be handy for families or if you were staying for more than a few days. Also a laundry guests can use. Gardens and open restaurant / bar were so relaxing with a step down to the swept beach area not suitable for swimming but perfect for that drink at sundown.

The staff are super friendly and helpful, from check in to check out they went out of their way to help. The restaurant is really good quality and tasty food. Lovely pool and really quiet location. The rooms were spotless and cleaned everyday. The half board option is good with a set menu that doesn't change but has good variety. We were happy we hired a car.

After reading all the reviews about the hotel, I decided to book it for ten days in August. Prior to arrival, I had good communication from the hotel, which is always good news. Check-in wasn't a disappointment either. Any issues were resolved in moments. Staff are unbelievable helpful from the security guards down to the chefs and waiting staff ( including the reception guys!) We had a deluxe room, which has a well equipped kitchen, patio, shower room with shampoo etc and had fantastic views of the pool and ocean. The restaurant is open all day with breakfast and having plenty of choices. The beach is beautifully sandy, although the seashore is rocky at low tide, but 50 yards to the left of the hotel there is a nice swimming area. For those who want to get out and about, there is a bus stop 20 yards away. It's 24 rupees to Trou aux Biches. Two supermarkets are close by, but the best one is in Trou aux Bisches, which is a twenty minute walk or three minutes on the bus. Hotel hires cars at a reasonable rate and also organises trips which were cheaper than other local trip vendors. The hotel restaurant has entertainment three times a week, and on Wednesday, they have a Mauritian dancers and buffet. I would definitely recommend this hotel

Wonderful, restful oasis on the beach with quiet pretty pool overlooking the ocean.

Tustin, Bridget and the team on property were exceptional. Volunteering to bring (copious amount of ) luggage rom the car to the room and back again, loading it up and making the process so easy.

It,s convenient to Grand Baie without being in the mayhem.

Take the half board option if available. The restaurant is directly on the beach. The staff is excellent and he food is great. On Wed they have local entertainment which got everyone up and dancing.

My favorite thing was to lie in the infinity pool watching the breakers, and the guys collecting sea urchins and fishing.

There is a lovely sandy beach 1 minutes walk to your right. My husband walked down and discovered the most amazing hotel spa next door with a professional grade massage in their facility in the beach. It’s a Seven Colurs spa, rebound for their exceptional service and products. Def not a beach pickup type massage. It was rejuvenating and amazing.

And at the great prices here you could go every day!

Can’t say enough wonderful things about Voile Blue. Comfy, clean, AC works like a champ! But it’s the people in both the hotel and restaurant are spectacular!

This is what you would expect from this standard of property. The bathroom could take an upgrade but to be honest it was fine. The only thing I would suggest would be tea and coffee in the room if it was only to get you started as they do with the water. We arrived late and would have just loved a cup of tea in the room as we unpacked. It was to late to go to the shops. Staff were lovely and helpful.

La Voile Bleue is a small hotel -22 rooms- which has high standards in terms of its staff and the quality of service offered. All reception staff are polite, very helpful and speak English to a high level. The rooms are of a high standard with a good sized balcony, a bathroom stocked with shampoo, soap and shower gel using eco-friendly dispensers and a kitchen with items which enable residents to self-cater should they wish. Pool/beach towels are provided and the pool area is clean and well maintained although the pool could be deeper.

Beautiful stretch of beach and wonderful views from most rooms. Nice landscaping and friendly, helpful staff. Small infinity pool and umbrellas and chairs on beach. Ocean near beach is not good for swimming (rocks) but you can walk a short distance to something more swimmable. Restaurant does a great job for a small place. Because it is a small boutique hotel, it does lack amenities like paddle boards and kayaks and a gym like at other places nearby, but it is also a small, cozy place and not a giant resort.

The night we arrived we were received by very friendly and well informed staff. Dinner was Wednesday night BBQ buffet and as every other night the food was very good. We were entertained by an excellent local band that plays in the restaurant 3 nights a week. Overall our stay was wonderful with no complaints. The staff ensured that our stay was comfortable and we were treated like a king. Thanks to all and the friends we made, our stay at the Voile Bleue was everything we hoped for and so much more.

We stayed as a couple for 2 weeks. The hotel is spot on, beach view every morning. Spaces on the beach to sit in if you don’t fancy poolside. The biggest credit is the restaurant and bar staff. Super friendly and great for a laugh. Sharma, Gerald, Darren, Danial, Karoline everyone. Can’t reme all the names but all will be remembered.
Also they have live music on Wednesday and weekends. Those 2 are lovely and do both French and English songs :)

Room cleaned every day, nice little space, views for days. Hopefully visit back soon :)

Great hotel!

I had a very good experience staying here. It is a lovely apartment and I had a great view from the balcony. The staff are all excellent and willing to help in any way that they can. You can’t fault their hospitality! The only small issue I had was the ants which were so small that they can easily get in your room which caused for a few days of itchy bites and being careful with leaving food/drinks around. In saying that it did not take away from my great first experience of Mauritius and would happily stay again!

- The beach near to the resort is rocky, however if you move lil away you ll find better beaches

The complementary break fast was so boring, no proper cleaning of the tables after the guests left the table, the breads in the basket were left on the table for the birds to have their breakfast.
The restaurant staff needs more training , they are just ok, seem to be not much bothered about the guests.

Great hotel for relaxing. Rooms were clean and staff were friendly. Restaurant in the hotel had good food with a variety on the menu from Mauritian, Asian, French and English food. There is no elevators in the hotel. Therefore, if you have heavy luggage request bottom floor. All rooms come with a kitchen. Kitchen have refrigerator, microwave, stove and coffee pot with all utensil, pots, plates etc. This hotel/apartment is located in the northern part of the Island.

We spent our honeymoon at Voile Bleue. It was a nice and quiet place, right by the beach, but you can't go into the water there because of the rocks. The room was big. The hotel has a restaurant and they often have live music in the evenings. The management is helpful and they quickly solved any problems that arised.

We missed our connection in Mauritus due to flight chnage and had to find a hotel to stay for 2 days. This hotel was far from Airport. It is in a quite place. The beaches here are not great. Food selection also are limited. For budget travel, this hotel is a very good choice.

Hotel is a little hard to find beucase GPS could not locate this place.

-bar manager may invite you for some rum mix that he made and even gave us the recipe how he made it.
-everything is close to us from there neither by bike or car.

Beautiful sea view villa. All staff oustanding with the exception of one. Facilities matched photos exactly clean and beautiful. HOWEVER ordered crab soup from the room service menu and got horrendous food poisoning. Still recovering. Thought I was going to die. One member of staff even told me it is good to have experiences abroad where you think you might die!!!

Good place for quiet time... Not so crowded. Not recommended to swim in the beach as it is too rocky and stony. Rubbish are everywhere on the beach. Wifi is not working properly in some rooms. Very noisy if you are getting beach front room as there are musicians playing music during the night. We booked Seaview room but placed us in beachfront room. Altho it cost more but its not necessary the best or ideal room that we wanted. Ants are in the room and toilets upon check in. Far from eateries, and need to drive about 3 minutes in order to get some food. One notable things is Restaurant. Food was nice but portion very small. Free Coffee was tasteless. Better getting Nescafe from Supermarket and outside. Service is slow but it was okay.

Our 3 night stay at this hotel was excellent. It is a hotel apartment, had a kitchenette which is excellent if you would like to prepare meals. The breakfast was buffet and excellent. We had dinner at the hotel all three nights because the food was just delicious , combination of French and Mauritan dishes. The rooms overlook the pool and the ocean. The beach is not really for swimming due to rocks however you can easily take a walk to trou aux biches or quick bus ride to mon choisy.

The staff are absolutely lovely and very helpful. They will also arrange your tours if you like at very reasonable rates.

The rooms are cleaned everyday and there are shops near the hotel where you can buy daily necessities like water. There is no tea and coffee in room so please remember to carry or just have enough at breakfast.

Overall we loved our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.

A modern well run Aparthotel style -has a small well equipped kitchen are although dining room serves excellent set menus for Lunch/dinner. Well appointed bedrooms with large shower/balcony.
Very friendly and attentive service -excellent value for money.
Super pool -beach area has rocky foreshore so swimming not possible directly in front of hotel but beaches open out a few hundred metres away.
A regular bus service passes door however a car rental is good idea and hotel can organise keen deals.
All in all a great place to stay -easy access to Grand Baie for shopping and night life -would return again

Lovely small hotel, quiet and on the beach.

The staff were incredible, doing whatever they could to meet your needs. The rooms were clean, bathroom was lovely, balcony was large and with a wonderful sea view, and the bed was very comfortable. All rooms with fans and air conditioning. The restaurant was just starting to open for lunch when we were there, and is now open for dinner although we left just before this happened. The food for lunch was delicious. The beach right out front is not a swimming beach as it is too rocky, but to the right about 100 meters is a lovely sandy lagoon on the beach which has been cleared of all the rocks, and then a wall made with those rocks, to form a protective circle around the swimming area.
The area was quiet and a little isolated at night so taxis are necessary as buses stop operating after dark too. We travelled to many other areas of the island and were so glad we picked where we were, we felt it was the nicest location and hotel in comparison to what we saw.

I went to a wedding near by and this hotel was ideal as it was close by. As I thought it would be cheap hotel I didn't really expect much however to my surprise the room the hotel the service was amazing the view front the room was stunning it over looked a infinity pool which then lead into the beach the room was clean and spacious and the bathroom was huge it wasn't a tiny little cubicle but a big shower with plenty of space there was only one mirror in the bathroom would have preferred more mirrors in the room however the big TV screen and the size of the big bed made use of the large room it was a very comfy stay and the breakfast was very good they have a buffet breakfast but also asked us what else we wanted we had been served politely and efficiently we also asked if we could have a little later check out time which they did without charge I was very impressed with the hotel

This small (22 room)resort is new. All the facilities are great from the rooms to the infinity pool. The staff are very friendly and try to be helpful. There is someone on the gate 24 hours a day and night so no security concerns.
Breakfast is included and there are plans to be able to offer dinners eventually. The rooms are well equipped with a kitchenette so self catering is an option and there are places to eat nearby. One of the staff recommended Le Souvenir and we enjoyed 2 meals there.
The resort is right on the beach which is a strip of sand and then rocks. It is not possible to swim in the sea just here but only a couple of hundred metres to a swimming spot.
I would have liked more information or recommendations available at the resort on tours and things to do.

Excellent apart-hotel with fabulous views.

We arrived at our hotel during a tropical storm. The staff at reception ran to our car with huge umbrellas to shelter us from the rain and greeted us with welcome drinks and towels. Our room was very well-appointed and spotlessly clean and decorated with fresh flowers. The complex is modern, tastefully designed and very well presented and the staff are pleasant, professional and conscientious. Breakfast was delicious and varied and served on a beautiful balcony with spectacular sea views. Our room had a terrace with table and chairs and looked out over the pool area and the sea. All the furnishings and fitments were attractive, functional and of high quality. The restaurant serves breakfast alone but the kitchen area in our room was well-equipped and we enjoyed making meals which we ate on our terrace. The bed was large and extremely comfortable and we slept very well throughout our stay. The whole complex has an air of tranquility and most days we had the pool area to ourselves. A car is a definite advantage if you want to explore. The sugar museum and Botanical Gardens at Pamplemousses are well worth a visit.

Es ist eine schöne Anlage direkt am Meer! Die Zimmer sind sehr groß und geräumig. Gute Ausstattung und alles relativ neu und gut erhalten. Es gibt einen schönen Pool mit Blick aufs Meer. Direkt am Pool gibt es ausreichend Liegen und einige direkt am Meer. Das Frühstück war sehr gut mit wunderbaren Blick. Man konnte zwischen Englischem oder Interkontinentalem Frühstück wählen. Wir haben jeweils eins genommen und so war für jeden was dabei. Das Personal war immer sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit!

Exvellent restaurant vue sur mer,soigné et joliment décoré.Nous y étions en demi pension pendant 12 jours, et ce fût un régal du début à la fin.Les plats sont raffinés gouteux et copieux.Il en est de même pour les cocktails.Le personnel trés professionnel,aux petits soins,délicat et prévenant. Parfait sur tous les plans!

Das Hotel läßt keine Wünsche offen - Parkplätze auf dem Grundstück, Restaurant, Zimmer, Pool - alles sauber, modern, grün und mit direktem Strand-Zugang. Das Personal ist äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Tres bon séjour et tres bel petit hotel. Chambre spatieuse avec coin cuisine. Piscine juste devant. Plage à proximité. Tres calme. Seul gros problème, le wifi dans la chambre. Quasi inexistant.

Une adresse à retenir

Très bon séjour dans ce petit hôtel, très bien placé pour visiter le Nord de l’île.
chambre spacieuse très propre et bien équipée. Vue sur mer dans notre cas et piscine agréable.
Plage juste devant mais il faut aller un peu plus loin pour se baigner à cause des rochers,
Restaurant sur place très bon aussi (nous avions pris la demi-pension).
Et surtout un personnel très sympathique et toujours aux petits soins. Que ce soit à la réception, au bar ou au restaurant. Petit plus des prestations musicales très agréables presque tous les soirs.

Excellent séjour à l'hôtel voile bleue !

L'hôtel voile bleue est idéalement placé, les plages à proximité sont très agréables et avec probablement moins de monde que dans le Sud.
L'hôtel est à taille humaine et avec tout le confort et le standing que l'on pouvait attendre. Les studios sont très bien équipés (ventilateur, clim, frigo, plaques de cuisson, coffre fort), disposent d'une belle terrasse et pour certains ont une vue piscine et océan. Le ménage dans les studios est fait quotidiennement et il est impeccable ! Les linges de lit, de bain et de plage sont fournis.
La piscine avec vue sur océan est magnifique et les extérieurs sont très bien entretenus. Le cadre est aussi magnifique depuis le restaurant où l'on peut prendre un copieux petit déjeuner tous les matins ainsi que les repas si on le souhaite.
L'ensemble du personnel (réceptionnistes, patrons, femmes de ménage, sécurité, ...) est extrêmement gentil, serviable et de bons conseils pour nos activités. Une qualité d'accueil incroyable qui a contribué à faire de notre séjour sur l'île et dans cet hôtel une vraie réussite. Cette remarque est valable également pour le restaurant le skipper situé dans l'hôtel, un grand merci à l'ensemble du personnel pour son accueil, sa gentillesse et son professionnalisme, ainsi que pour le chef et son équipe pour la qualité du petit déjeuner et des repas !
Pour conclure : que des points positifs pour notre séjour, je recommande sans hésiter et à 100% à toute personne qui voudrait séjourner dans cette région de l'île Maurice

Hôtel très agréable en bord de mer

excellent hôtel situé en tout début de zone hôtelière et donc tranquille. Notre studio avait une vue directe sur la mer. On était en demi-pension et le restaurant est vraiment très bien. Nourriture et présentation impeccables. Climatisation très adéquate. Les chambres sont très grandes mais presque vides. Seule une petite table et une chaise sont disponibles. On aimerait avoir une autre chaise et table ainsi qu'un support à valise. Entretien ménager impeccable; piscine très agréable et pratique quoiqu'elle est un peu en manque d'amour et nécessite une nouvelle peinture. Plusieurs fourmis dans la salle de bain surtout mais c'est acceptable car elles n'envahissent pas les autres pièces et on peut les écraser facilement et les contrôler si on le fait régulièrement. Il faut prendre le bus pour aller en ville (Trou aux biches) mais on peut le faire à pied en 30 minutes. En sommaire, nous avons passé 7 jours très agréables à cet hôtel et nous serions prêts à y revenir. À recommander sans hésiter.

Die Betten waren sehr weich und dss Frühstück sehr übersichtlich. Kein Buffet. Pool kleiner als auf den Fotos. Ansonsten alles toll, hat uns gut gefallen. Nettes Personal!

Tres bel hotel avec de grandes chambres modernes et confortables avec vue et acces direct a la plage. Petit dejeuner excellent pris dans le restaurant de l hotel qui propose des repas mauriciens raffinés a prix tres doux avec ambiance musicale live quelques soiree par semaines. Personnel tres attentionné et sympathique. Des visites/activités en mer vous sont proposés a prix raisonnables. Bref une excellente adresse a trou aux biches.
