Came with the family for UK half term to get some winter sun and we all loved the place! Great boutique hotel - simple but perfect room for the 5 of us to stay in - lovely grounds and pool - and right on its own beach with sun loungers and sun sofas overlooking the crystal clear waters. Would definitely return.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was phenomenal. The service from the staff was outstanding and they treated us more like friends than guests, nothing was ever too much trouble. The food at the privilege restaurant was always lovely and something different every night. We couldn’t have asked for a better place for such a special holiday and this will certainly be one that we always remember. Thank you.

Lovely stay for our honeymoon at Veranda Pointe Aux Biches. A quiet hotel with it's own private beach and gorgeous sea view rooms. We would highly recommend the Sandy Lane adults only part of the resort, and the day's catamaran trip was fantastic.

First of all, I need to start by saying that the staff in the main dining area are 10000/10. They were simply marvellous. I’m not a fan of animals and unfortunately due to the dining area being open and connected to the beach, stray cats would wander in whilst dining. I alerted the staff and they ensured that they reserved a table for me which was out of the way for every single meal. They truly went above and beyond to ensure I felt comfortable. Thank you to the team!
Overall, the stay was pleasant. My only gripe would be that for the first two nights, the AC wasn’t working in the room and I had to report this to the front desk numerous times and despite being told it was fixed and had been looked at, it hadn’t. This was unpleasant but for the last night, the very helpful hotel manager did upgrade my room and put me into a room with working AC which was good. It’s unfortunate that it was only addressed on my last night though and not earlier on in my stay. The hotel was clean and staff friendly.

The Hotel was as described when I booked. We were allocated a room on arrival although we were a bit early. We managed to get a room on the quiet side of the hotel with the pool just a few steps away. Food at the buffet was good at breakfast and lunch. We only ate at the buffet dinner a couple of times. The privilege restaurant dinner was always good. A few names need mentioning for their great service during our stay, Anoop and Akshay amazing bartenders at the 2 different bars, Amand our regular waiter at the Privilege restaurant. Never seen anyone run around like him. And the room was kept perfect by Lutchmee. Te beach although not private was very well maintained. The sunset views were amazing.

A few suggestions for improvements that we already mentioned to the management;
- Need improved bakery as the desserts were too boring and old style.
- Need more staff in the kitchen and waiters as food refilling was slow.
- Better cushions for the dining room chairs.
- The quiet side of the hotel is next to a marriage hall and it does get loud in the evenings and night almost ever other day. Management need to ensure that the noise/music is lower in volume and stops at the legally approved time and not go on late into the night.
- Free massage voucher is only valid for 48 hours but no one told us and we could not use.

A gem on the North West corner of Mauritius

The look of Veranda Pointe aux Biches, with the thatched roofs, was what attracted us to this resort. It didn't disappoint as you can see from the photos. Right from the start, the staff were very attentive to your needs. A good introduction to the resort by the front desk staff and a walk around the resort explaining various daily and weekly events. All the staff were super helpful and very welcoming and sociable. Special mention to Rodnay and Harel on the restaurant side. It's clear to see why Rodnay is one of the managers with great attention to detail. You didn't have to ask for refills with Rodnay on shift as he seemed to have a sixth sense, plus a great sense of humour. Akshay, Marie and Sara on bar duties at the Lazy Pool Bar. Ranee, our room service maid, who entertained us with a different towel sculpture every day, really cute! Asha, Nitesh and Sacha on the management staff who guided us, upgraded our room for our 30th wedding anniversary and recommended local trips to take advantage of.

Thanks to Sacha for the upgrade from Comfort to Privilege, with a great view down to the lazy pool and the beach. Made our holiday so much more enjoyable.

Last mention for the superb Transit Room, the best we have experienced. Our departing flight was at 21:25, so we enjoyed the hotel amenities all day. The Transit Room allows guests to take a shower, change and prepare for travel. Well done, because this was done in great style.

The most problematic thing for me is that the hotel put pictures of a newly part of the hotel, but when we arrived we were told that it is private area and not for the guest of the hotel. The rest of the hotel is poorly maintained. The pool has black weeds in it, the beach amenities are always dirty and the house keeping stuff are not that great.
The reception have good attitude but work very slowly.
The best thing that was really good in the hotel was the kids club, the stuff there were amazing.
The food is not so good as well.
I do not recommend at all

We have just returned from a wonderful 9 days staying in a Privilege Room at Veranda Pointe aux Biches. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful; in particular Sonita one of the security guards, Shabeer and Stacy in the Sandy Lane restaurant, the wonderful massage team, and our incredible cleaner Lutchmee who went well above and beyond to make our stay so comfortable.

The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a mix of cold and hot options - the freshly cooked omelettes were especially good. The entertainment staff were fab, and there was a good mix of activities on offer for free. We thoroughly enjoyed the cooking class for instance, and hired bikes to cycle to the Botanical Gardens.

The beach area is incredibly well maintained and exceptionally safe with a security guard there all day. Our room was fabulous and very well maintained.

All in all, we had the most wonderful trip and hope to be back to enjoy the spectacular Mauritian hospitality again soon.

We were greeted by Yoghinee who ensured we felt comfortable before starting paperwork. As my husband only speaks English, Yoghinee made sure to communicate accordingly while taking us for a tour of the property. She also assisted in making sure we could access the gym from 6.30am. This young lady definitely created an amazing first impression for this beautiful hotel. The Privilege room was secluded but perfect for a peaceful and relaxing holiday with an awesome view. Rishi at breakfast was also very attentive and welcoming. He made sure that we had our preferred coffee every morning with no fail. John from the lazy bar, his cocktails were just delicious. His cocktails enhance the pool experience. Dining on the beach for the lobster night was a really nice way to really switch off and enjoy our holiday. Dinner was delicious. Hats off to the 2 chefs on the night. The restaurant manager at the lazy grill restaurant was also very kind, attentive and very professional. We had a guest to dine in one night without a prior booking, and he very humbly assisted by accommodating and making sure we had a great service. Thank you team. We will be back!

Truly excellent hotel in a stunning location right next to the sandy beach. Loved the infinity pool in the Sandy Lane section which is lovely and quiet.

All the staff were extremely helpful during our stay. Special thank you’s to Asha, Kavi, Sunida, Anoop, Anu, Damien and Sara who went above and beyond to make our stay incredibly enjoyable.

Nice hotel, terrible buffet.

The hotel was good, rooms were sufficient and clean. The hotel is small but with a nice atmosphere. Note the the pool is not heated so it is very cold in the winter time. Although you can swim in the sea, it is not very deep and has some rocks. The most disappointing we’re the buffets. The food was terrible and not much variation. We complained and they tried to accommodate us by giving us a set menu but in the end it is the same chef and although a little better not up to the standard that we normally get at other hotels we stay in.

We found this hotel on Expedia and the photos & reviews looked good so we decided to book for 11 days.

In all honesty, the hotel was beyond our expectations and absolutely fantastic from the onset up until we left.

We were welcomed nicely and were provided with an early checkin free of charge.

The staff were very friendly and courteous. The kids club was awesome. All the teachers were amazing especially my sons favourite Beatrice. Kids club had different activities to keep the kids entertained. Very organised with a good timetable.

The rooms were lovely and cleaned well. We had a family room and housekeeping always prepared different animals for our son using towels which was a nice touch and much appreciated.

We were on a half board basis. Breakfast was superb with many options on a buffet basis. Dinner was good with a lot of variety. They served different food every day. Omtee was a great host.

The gym was clean with everything you need.

On the last day our flight was late and the hotel allowed us to leave late with no cost. Like I said, they were understanding with great customer service.

We really enjoyed our stay with great memories. We would love to come back in the near future. Thank you for making our time in Mauritius memorable :)

We had a great holiday in Veranda! Hotel has lovely pool area and pool bar was nice with daily changing cocktails. We did not upgraded for sandy lane as we felt it’s not needed.
Snorkelling in the hotel beach area was good, not the best in the island but good. We were happy to walk for some restaurants nearby.
Service was generally good, even our check in was a bit hustle. We would like to say a special thanks for housekeeping lady Ranee, what a lovely lady and great service! Thank you!
Overall great place to stay and explore the island. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved this hotel.....just the right balance between barefoot luxury and informality....the staff were exceptional. In fact they spoilt us. We walked about 30 mins each day to the Trou Biches Beach and drove to Moi. Choisy. The beach at hotel is beautiful but not really swimmable. Highly recommend.

Really decent hotel with great staff

I rarely write reviews. If I do, it's normally really bad or exceptionally good. Fortunately, for this place it was really good. The staff were so friendly and genuinely very helpful. We were always asked if things were going well and how our stay was, which I found very nice. We done a lot of rum tasting which was offered to us and also the food was amazing. In regards to the room it was spacious and well cleaned with Aircon and we also had a nice balcony with the view of the sea. It was a very quiet resort which was perfect for us as we were on our honeymoon. The hotel is situated not far from the beach. Although they had their own private beach, with very clam waters and nice sand. You would need to get a taxi if you wanted to visit port Louis or Casela park. However the hotel has taxis on standby. There is also a bus stop right outside which is very handy as we did get the bus a few times. All in all I would definitely recommend this place. We had such a great time and would like to say a big thanks to all the management and staff at Veranda for making our stay a holiday to remember.

Nice hotel - food needs improvement

The good: The hotel is lovely, the front of house staff are good and very friendly. The family room is large and well equipped. The kids club is fantastic! There is a little pool in the kids club to keep little ones cool through the day.
The not so good: The food is very average. There is a buffet 3x a day but it is pretty uninspired- a couple of good dishes but mostly nothing special. The food and drink can seem very expensive if you are not all inclusive. There are a handful of great options just a few moments walk down the beach though - or loads of great options in Grande Baie if you don't mind to drive or take a taxi.
Overall we had a great experience at this hotel but unless the food options improved I don't know that it would be our first choice to stay again.

Great stay. A great ambiance to the hotel with friendly helpful staff. There were two sides - the busy buzzing side and the quiet restful side. Great for families who wanted a busy schedule and great for couples etc who wanted a quieter holiday. Would recommend!!!

Great resort for the monies paid however the biggest disappointment was the `missing`beach. The weather, or the rather windy and rainy conditions as well as the low water temps contributed further to the slight disappointment Mauritius turned out to be as an experience. Not really critizising the resort itself but came to realize that the island is a rather pricey destination we would not chose again for beach holidays.

Food selection is limited and very average.
Entertainment staff were excellent and great with children - soccer/yoga/beach activities etc.

L'emplacement sur la plage est très agréable et la décoration est raffinée
Néanmoins, il n'y a pas de profondeur sur la plage face à l'hôtel. Au vue des commentaires sur les chiens, je peux assurer qu'ils ne sont absolument pas gênants même plutôt attachants. Ils sont présents pour garder la plage.
Les chambres méritent peut-être un raffraichissement
Je crois que c'est prévu prochainement. Globalement ce fut un excellent séjour de 5 nuits

Das Hotel ist etwas kleiner, was ich sehr gut finde, und liegt inmitten einer traumhaften Anlage mit vielen Palmen und Blumen. Hinzu kommen die vielen Vögel, die den ganzen Tag singen. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Egal, wo man gerade ist, es wird immer gegrüßt. Das Essen ist gut, sehr abwechslungsreich. In der Hauptsaison wird es aber schnell voll am Bufett. Das Zimmer ist recht groß und sauber. Das Bett ist bequem. Nur der laute Kühlschrank nervt etwas. Ansonsten ist alles super gewesen. So stelle ich mir ein Hotel in den Tropen vor 😄

Fina och välstädade rum. Mycket vänlig personal. Vi hade halvpension men var inte så imponerade av maten. Men frukost var bra! Finns inte så mycket affärer/restauranger i närheten men hotellet ordnar shuttlebus till Trou aux Biches varje dag och busshållplats för lokalbussen är precis utanför hotellet.

Hotellet är fint och mysigt och passar barnfamiljer väl. Hotellet har en egen liten strand och sen finns det en gratis shuttle till Troux aux Biches varje dag. Det var bra variation av frukost och middag.. alla i familjen hittade något att äta. Vi hade lite otur första dagen då vi upplevde servicen som lite sämre.. tog lång tid med incheckning och vi fick inte våra väskor till rummet utan fick hämta dem själva men hotellet växte på oss under vistelsen. När vi sedan jämför med andra hotell i samma prisklass så var detta ett av de bättre hotellen vi bodde på, i synnerhet när det kom till variation av mat och även läge. Det var enkelt att ta sig med buss eller taxi till både Grand Baie och Port Louis. Vi är sammantaget nöjda med upplevelsen.

Honestly, there’s a star or two too much in play here, the hotel itself is, at best, very average. But, location wise, with the view, sunsets etc it obviously great. Also, the buildings, area surrounding inside complex also nice. Room was ok’ish. But cramped, and dead hard beds, also ant issue in bathroom in particular, but fair enough. Most of the staff friendly, but a couple of divas, especially in reception, which really the place could do without. Food was below par. We time and time again experienced breakfast not being stocked up, even before 9am, which really is unheard of, seeing breakfast ends 10am. We only had one dinner in restaurant, really because it was bad. Had some lunches, none of which very memorable, more because there wasn’t too many options nearby. Selection not as you should expect either.
All in all, nice place, but plenty to work with, especially staff wise and food wise. And yes, there’s at least one star too many on that hotel logo…

À notre arrivée à l'hôtel nous avions eu une chambre privilège dans la partie Adult Only mais elle était proche de la route, pas sécurisante du tout et surtout remplie de poussières, pour un premier aperçu décevant.. Nous avons donc demandé à changer de chambre et se rapprocher de la piscine ce qui a été fait quelques heures après et on s'est tout de suite senti mieux.
Le diner est très bon et copieux au restaurant réservé aux personnes en chambre privilège mais un peu décevant dans le restaurant principal car buffet peu varié que ce soit au petit-déjeuner ou au diner, on se croirait à la cantine.
Les parties extérieures de l'hôtel sont bien entretenues et très chaleureuses (piscines, restaurant,...). Le personnel est au top et aux petits soins !! Le spa très bien.
L'hôtel reste beau mais plus digne d'un 4 étoiles mauricien actuel, mais plutôt d'un 3 étoiles.. ou peut-être aurait-il besoin d'un rafraichissement (chambres et restaurant principal) afin de faire honneur à ses étoiles, à la notoriété des hôtels mauriciens et à un rapport qualité-prix plus attractif/avantageux.

Das längere Warten zu buchen hat sich gelohnt. Preise variierten immer wieder.
Tolles Hotel, in dem wir (Mutter & Tochter) uns immer willkommen fühlten. Sauberes Zimmer, saubere Anlage (bis auf wenige Ausnahmen), das Essen ist abwechslungsreich, große, all inclusive Getränkekarte, Wi-Fi selbst am Strand. Weiteres konnte auf Nachfragen arrangiert werden.
Pool ist ok, vllt etwas klein, aber wir waren eh nur am Strand. Da der an einer Lagune liegt, ist das Wasser nicht so klar, aber durchaus zum Schnorcheln geeignet. Mit dem Shuttle oder zu Fuß erreicht man aber nach einigen Minuten einen öffentlichen Strand mit mehr Schnochelmöglichkeiten.
Den Hotel-Fahrservice vom/zum Flughafen haben wir nicht genutzt Suntranfers bzw. Mauritours kann ich nur empfehlen, auch für \"abgesicherte\" Ausflüge.

Le service est tres bien, les installations sont correctes et l'emplacement aussi

Points negatifs;
La plage....on ne vient pas d'Europe pour une plage pareille alors qu'il y en a des paradisiaques a quelques km de l'hôtel

En résumé, en famille hotel tres bien si la plage n'est pas une prioritée ou si vous etes vehiculé

Das Hotel ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, z.B. Türen können teilweise nicht mehr richtig geschlossen werden.

Das Buffet ist ok aber nicht mehr, es gibt sehr oft das gleiche und keine grosse Auswahl

Séjour d’une nuit dans le cadre d’un mariage. Excellent hôtel qui se veut assez haut de gamme. Le personnel est extrêmement professionnel et attentif. Pas grand chose à redire, vous y passerez un séjour merveilleux.
Le seul bémol, c'est les petits insectes qui ressemblent à des blattes et qui rentrent facilement dans les chambres, nous en avons eu un dans la salle de bains, ce qui peut être déstabilisant pour des européens comme nous.

Die exzellente Lage direkt am Meer. Ein sauberer gepflegter Strand mit diversen Auswahlmöglichkeiten an Kayaks oder Standup Paddle.
Das höfliche und stets zuvorkommene Personal habe ich selten so erlebt. Ein zweites Restaurant in dem man a la carte speisen kann mit sehr sehr leckerem Essen, war zweifellos eines der vielen Highlights des Hotels.

Abbiamo trascorso 2 settimane in questa struttura e non saremmo mai voluti andare via! Tutto è stato ottimo, dal check in al check out. Il personale dell’hotel è davvero gentilissimo e disponibile in qualsiasi momento, dall’istante in cui arrivi. Avevamo prenotato una camera privilege all inclusive e siamo stati davvero soddisfatti in tutto. La pulizia delle camere perfetta ogni mattina, la sera poi passavano per vedere se avevi bisogno di qualcosa( ad esempio se serviva più acqua, se il frigo bar era pieno, se avevi le cialde per la macchina del caffè,ecc).
Il ristorante principale offriva una ricca colazione internazionale ogni mattina e il pranzo con molti piatti tra cui scegliere sia di cucina locale che internazionale. La cena nel ristorante a la carte della zona privilege davvero eccellente, ogni sera un menu nuovo di 4 portate in cui poter scegliere tra carne, pesce e vegetariano.. il servizio al tavolo perfetto, ci faceva sentire coccolati ogni sera, i ragazzi del personale davvero competenti e attenti a ogni minima esigenza!!
La spiaggia bella e molto tranquilla, come anche il mare!
È stata davvero una bellissima vacanza, porteremo questo posto e l’isola nel cuore!

Wir haben 7 Tage in diesem Hotel verbracht und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Anlage hat die perfekte Größe - nicht zu klein und nicht zu groß. Unser Zimmer war direkt neben den Pool, hatte eine kleine “Terrasse” und es war perfekt. Das Zimmer war auch schön. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Das Personal ist entzückend. Jeder hilft, wo er/sie kann und fragen immer, ob man was benötigt. Die Massage war ebenso super - muss man ausprobieren. Der Strand ist sehr ruhig, es gab immer freie Liegen und es gibt einige Wassersportaktivitäten. Das Hotel organisiert für jeden Abend etwas, ob Live-Musik, BBQ-Abend, Rum-Tasting, usw. Das Essen war auch gut. Jeden Tag was anderes. Die Lage des Hotels fanden wir sehr gut, weil die schönsten Strände sehr schnell erreichbar sind. Wir hatten ein Mietauto, aber auch mit dem Bus ist man innerhalb von ein paar Minuten am nächsten Stand. Wir können auch Empfehlen, die Aktivitäten, die über das Hotel angeboten werden auszuprobieren, zB. Scuba Diving mit Bubble. Super Programm mit tollen Menschen und man hat nichts zu tun - man wird eingeschult, abgeholt, zum Boot gebracht und wieder zum Hozel gefahren.
Alles in Allem ein sehr schönes Hotel mit einer sehr guten Lage und tollem Personal. Nur empfehlenswert.

Cet hôtel est une superbe découverte ! Un havre de paix sur cette planète ! Tout est très beau, propre et le personnel d’une gentillesse incroyable, mention spéciale pour Lutchmee notre femme de chambre ainsi que pour Caroline qui nous a très bien accueillis.
Nous avons été surclassés et avons bénéficié d’une chambre dans la zone adultes only, piscine et restaurant propre à notre espace.
Le buffet du petit déjeuner est copieux et laisse du choix sur des produits mauriciens ou européens, idem pour les buffets du soir.
Les animations du soir sont agréables aussi, vous ne vous ennuierez pas dans cet hôtel qui a su allier prestige et activités pour tous.

Nous avons rencontré dès désagrément dès notre arrivée dû à des punaises de lit dans notre chambre. Nous en avons fait part au personnel qui n’a pas tout de suite pris en compte notre réclamation. Après leur avoir fait constater les punaises de lit et l’état dégradé voir insalubres du dessous des matelas et des sommiers il nous a été proposé un changement de chambre. Solution qui aurait dû être temporaire au vu de la problématique ! La deuxième chambre manquait également de propreté. En deux jours nous avons été changer de chambre 3 fois.
