Beautiful beach and location. Staff were excellent . Shout out to Gini on front desk and David one of the restaurant managers who went out of their way to help me. Also thanks to duty manager who met me on my check out to see how my stay had been. This hotel has everyone at an affordable price

I stayed at this hotel for one night and, overall, the experience had some great highlights but also a major disappointment.

On the positive side, the property itself is beautiful. We had a room close to a quieter pool, which felt much more secluded than the main one. The water was warm and perfect for swimming, and the whole area was very relaxing. The staff were also very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

However, the biggest let-down — and unfortunately a significant one — was the food. Both dinner and breakfast were far below what you would expect from a hotel that presents itself as 5 star, especially in Mauritius where standards are usually very high. For the price we paid, the quality was simply unacceptable. It wasn’t just us who felt this way; several other guests expressed the same disappointment.

To their credit, one staff member took our concerns seriously. Since we were on an all-inclusive package, he invited us the next day to one of the hotel’s restaurants and personally arranged a lovely lunch for us before we left. This gesture was genuinely appreciated and showed that some staff truly care about guest satisfaction.

In summary, the hotel has a lovely setting and excellent staff, but the dining experience — particularly dinner and breakfast — was a major drawback. With consistently better food, this could have been an exceptional stay.

The staff is excellent and exceptionally helpful. Special thanks to receptionist Dini, buggy driver Sanjeev, trip coordinator Melanie, and the wait staff who remembered everything about us. Met some delightful people.

The grounds are lush and beautiful. Temperatures of air and ocean are ideal (Oct.).

Caution for those who have difficulty with stairs or long walks. There are workarounds, but they require golf carts (“buggies”) to be called.

It was a horrible stay. We took all inclusive package but nothing was as directed by hotels.con description. Even the water was charged leave apart the drinks. The food was served cold. Zero service. Very limited good to eat.

Wouldn’t recommend. This hotel has an awful lot of rules which quickly became an irritant for us. They open up to a lot of “day visitors” which spoils things for the staying guests; the pool becomes incredibly busy, particularly at weekends when it is descended upon by a lot of families with young children and groups of teenagers. The main diner also turns into a chaotic free-for-all. The dining “experience” was a particular let down. Flies all over the food, terrible service from staff, you have to find for your own table otherwise you’ll never eat, we had to set our own table by hunting down clean cutlery and glasses and had no alternative but to drink water that we had in our bags from the minibar. Only one small toilet services two large restaurants, an entire pool area and a large pool bar which means it regularly turns into a disgusting crime scene. Biggest gripe has to be the staff - unprofessional and poorly trained. The waiting stuff were particularly bad and on the occasions that we actually did get waited on they would be rude and incompetent. Avoid!

If you’re coming to Mauritius, then you MUST choose Maritim Resort & Spa!!
Very nice and friendly staff, very clean resort, a lot of activities and things to do inside the resort that you dont even need to go out.
The food is nice, but I personally didn’t find a lot of food options (room service).
Also the resort location makes it a perfect destination during the winter as well.
We came on a Honeymoon, and its also perfect for families.
We had a wonderful experience and we’re surely coming back!

Beautiful location but terrible food

Beautiful hotel with a perfect beach. I loved the marine sports that were available for the guests. However, the food absolutely appalling. Every single dish that we ordered at the hotel was either terrible or very small for the price. The food was also outdated and not fresh. You can taste the cereal was damp and the soy and milk was old.

Spacious hotel with lots of water sports activities. I stayed 7 nights at the hotel and here is what I liked: big pool, big beach access with sun beds, big green space! nice spa and cool water activities
What I didn’t like: the breakfast never changed throughout the visit, the receptionists weren’t so friendly, the service was average. You could wait forever at the table or on the sunbed and manybe no one would show up. The night life was bad. Same band, the room cleanliness wasn’t good.

Lovely facilities with a beautiful beach right on the doorstep. Food was inconsistent, some nights it was brilliant others it was quite average and for the money we paid to stay there you expect 10/10 every night. The thing that lets this hotel down is the service from the staff.
Again a lot of inconsistencies. More often than not you wait a while to be served or even seated for dinner. I’d say most of the staff look like they dislike working there from looks on their faces.. overall a really good hotel that needs a few tweaks to the service and needs to be more consistent

he took our ID cards and we waited for thirty minutes before being approached by a member of reception
The fruit basket in the suite was totally inappropriate for a tropical hotel
The TV screen was so small
the hotel gave the impression of desperately being in need of refurbishment
The Dinner buffet was really very very poor and the breakfast buffet only just passed
e.g. tea station...no teapots and so it goes on
The Front of house staff were indeed friendly and hospitable but they are obviously not being trained or supported by the management...I would never go there again

Beautiful hotel with amazing onsite amenities. Staff day to day were wonderful, but front desk staff was inexplicably rude and unhelpful. Even at checkout, they couldn’t process a simple activity cancellation due to weather the day prior without a 30 minute wait and calling in someone competent from another department.

A Very Nice Hotel

I stayed here on a business trip , which meant I didn't really get a chance to sample all the facilities... and there are plenty such as a Golf Course. The check in was very quick and I was offered a welcome drink. The room was big with a sea view . The Free Internet was very good in the room and restaurants/pool area. Luxurious sunbeds.
I was on a half board basis and only ate in the buffet restaurant, but the food was really good every day. I have been to Mauritius a few times and this hotel is on the West Coast , I think I prefer the East coast as I didnt see the beautiful turquoise colours in the sea on my trip, although that may have been related to the cyclone that had just passed over the Island.

We had a very uneasy stay here. While some staff was wonderful, most were very quick to 'pass the buck' and always send us somewhere else. Housekeeping was very poor, not even doing basic things like replacing towels and emptying trash cans. The beach is rocky - not the \"white sand\" advertised on its site. Food is mediocre at best. The stable staff is amazing, but the grounds are not well cared for. All in all, not what I'd expect from a luxury property.

Our second stay at Maritim Resort & Spa. Two years ago we had an amazing relaxing time. On this occasion my daughter had her Civil Wedding Ceremony at the hotel. The staff were so organised, friendly and everything was just superb, beautiful on my daughter's special day. A dream comes true. Loved everything at Le Maritim. Our favourite is The Spa... Hotel, Beach, Pool, Food, Staff, Spa, services were great. We would recommend this hotel 100%. Already looking forward to our next stay there! Go All Inclusive and enjoy the time of your life.

Pools were too cold - would have been more comfortable if hotel had offered a choice of a heated pool.

Great hotel on the beach

My wife and I spent a week in this hotel and it was woderfull! I would recommend all inclusive option if you do not plan to explore the island. We chose the half board option since we spent a few days/afternoons exploring the island and the famous beaches. We took a rental car for the whole week and it was a good choice since the airport is almost 1h away and transfer charges are significant. The roads are OK and it is easy to drive arround. If you plan to stay in the resort which is wonderful and has many activities to choose from including a golf course, then choose the All inclusive option especially if you want to have a few drinks during the day or at dinner

They will try squeeze all your cash out of you

Decent hotel - maybe time to redo and refresh rooms . Our room was very close to the path from the beach - no curtains/blinds provided , so we had to keep the shutters closed all the time.

A problem arose with the hotel trying to charge as much as possible for every possible extra , to the extent that this resulted in constant arguments , but clearly the staff are told that revenue is more important than customer satisfaction .

Pleasant Hotel with Character and Perfect Location

We have stayed at the hotel on several occasions when we have had meetings in Southampton. Lyndhurst is an easy commute and it makes a nice change it get out of the urban environment to somewhere a bit more relaxing. The hotel does the basic things well. The rooms are quite small and a little dated but they have character as does the rest of the hotel. The reception rooms are pleasant and parking is very good. The greatest strength of the hotel for us is the convenience for the many restaurants within 5 minutes walk.

An Outstanding Vacation

A beautiful hotel right on the beach. The staff provided excellent service, often without asking. Lovely beach, good food. Marvelous spa. The home made rums were fun and some of them delicious. Mauritius is altogether a wonderful place. The hawkers on the beach were polite and not overpowering. Each one has a license, and they had some interesting items at reasonable prices, Mark Twain said, God made Mauritius, and then he modeled heaven after it.

Not worth it!

Very slow check-in service.
The room was tired looking - damp including sheets, stained curtains and pillows.
It rained for most of the time we spent in the hotel and the corridors were constantly flooded. There did not seem to be any contingency for this.
Breakfast was good, but that is were the good ends. The dinner was awful. If you are not all-inclusive, it is £35 per person, which is ridiculously expensive.
They state 'free wi-fi', but only if it works in your room.

The hotel is beautiful in every way. The only thing I would say is be careful of the fully inclusive packages as it really does not include everything! The water sports are brilliant and mostly free. The food is brilliant with an enormous selection. The setting, service and facilities are beautiful. Go, you will not regret it. Oct 2011. October was lovely weather, but then the North in Mauritius is better anyway.

The grounds, staff and rooms were all wonderful, beautifully maintained and pristine. The friendly and helpful staff were very helpful and made the stay very relaxing and enjoyable.

Take advantage of the the inclusive water sports, snorkling, sailing, waterskiing - along with the water staff, they are loads of fun.

I highly recommend the breakfast at the restaraunt on the beach, a very peaceful and enjoyable way to start the day.

A great place for rest and relaxation. A slice of heaven.

The hotel surrounding is stunning! Very beautiful!

When I arrived at the hotel I was greeted with a cocktail and cooling flannel. From previous reviews, I've noticed that some people complained about the slow check-in. However despite check-in being at 3pm, I was shown to my room before then with no fuss. For those arriving earlier than 3pm, and unable to check-in early, there is an 'arrival/departure lounge', which has lockers and showers. The porter who showed me to the room was very friendly and helpful.

There is so much to do within the hotel grounds, that there is little need to actually leave the grounds! There's horse riding, tennis, archery, water sports, a spa, bike hire and so much more. I used the spa during my stay, again the surrounds are beautiful!

Although I didn't use the service, the waiters around the pool seemed to come around relatively frequently.
The hotel staff were all very friendly, and willing to assist if needed.
The only downside to the hotel is the location - it's a little isolated, however I wouldn't let that put you off it.
If I go back to Mauritius, I would defiantly stay at the Maritim again.

Einfach eine superschöne, ruhige Lage, großzügig genug in einem ehemaligen botanischen Garten. Mein Deluxe plzs All incl Zimmer war mit 58 qm sehr groß, sehr sauber,, große Dusche, Fön, Duschgel, Shampoo, Condituoner, Seife, Bademantel, alles vorhanden. Servicepersonal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das SpA ist auch sehr zu empfehlen. Genug Liegen am Strand und Pool. Bügelgelegenheit vorhanden. Strom wird mit Zimmerkarte am Eingangsstecker aktiviert

All the service was good (cleaning staff, restaurants etc.) except the front desk. Except a couple of staff, most of the time they were rude, unhelpful. Had to ask the same thing several times (just to unlock the door cuz they deactivated my card key before the check out time) but never get it done. Check-in was very slow, no info, they said wait here, then 20 mins past, then another staff came, told same thing but no one came for another 10 mins. But other than the front office, the resort is good, gardens are beautiful, nice area to stay in.

Une chambre donnée à 15h alors que nous sommes arrivé à 9h à l’hôtel après 15h de voyage
Une chambre rendu à 12h alors que nous partions de l’hôtel qu’à 18h30 si nous voulions la garder il fallait payer…vu le prix du voyage je trouve ça abuser
1 bouteille d’eau par jour sinon payante sachant que l’eau n’est pas potable
Un mini bar oublier d’être rechargé
Un service d’écologie mis en place, très bonne idée mais des cacahouètes en guise de cadeaux dans un sac en plastique ou est l’écologie ?

Le domaine de l'hôtel est très jolie, propose pleins de choses à faire et visiter mais pour un 5 étoiles la chambre était pas propre a notre arrivée ainsi que durant le séjour. Nous avons eu un problème avec la baignoire et il a fallut plusieurs fois leur dire avant qu'elle soit réparée. Pour les repas l'hôtel n'est pas digne non plus d'un 5 étoiles ( desserts chaud pas très bon, pas de fruit locaux sauf le melon ) sur les 6 restaurants seulement 4 étaient ouvert et ils proposaient tous la même chose. on étaient en AI et tous n'étaient pas compris dedans du coup un peu dessus de l'hôtel on s'attendaient à un autre standing.

Le Maritim propose des prestations convenables mais dont la qualité est irrégulière et parfois médiocre (propreté de la chambre déplorable, activités trop souvent indisponibles, certains restaurants sont fermés plusieurs jours dans la semaine et parfois impossible à réserver faute de places, un seul restaurant sur 7 est ouvert tous les jours, qualité de service inégale selon les serveurs ou le bar/restaurant, patienter longtemps et faire appel au personnel en plusieurs fois avant de pouvoir passer commande et d'être servi alors que l'endroit n'est pas rempli avec le sentiment bien souvent de déranger) pour un hôtel 5 étoiles qui dans les faits correspondrait d'avantage à des prestations inférieures. L'ensemble doit être revu et modernisé.

Besonders das La Maree war von den Mitarbeitern sehr unfreundlich, die Rezeption dagegen ist sehr freundlich. Man bucht fur viel Geld einen Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel und dann muss man zB fur ein Dinner reservieren (3-4Tage im Voraus), wir wollten uns das mal ansehen, sind direkt in das Restaurant wo man uns gesagt hat dass alles ausreseviert ist, trotz 5! freier Tische und wir könnten aber an der Bar was trinken und warten. Das haben wir gemacht, trotzdem keinen der freien Tische bekommen... das muss man sich mal vorstellen: den ganzen Abend hatte dieses Lokal keine 100%ige Auslastung! Das Hotel ist ansonsten veraltert und wird angeblich 2020 renoviert. Man muss auch alles selber organisieren und 3mal nachfragen ob das Fruhstück eh ans Zimmer kommt etc... also keine 5Sterne höchstens 3!!! Und der Preis ist somit viel zu hoch

Très bon séjours petit hic on avait pas l eau chaude on l a eu la veille de notre départ dommage pas de geste commercial (par ex un chapeau un peignoir...)on reviendra quand même

5つ星ホテルだけあって施設の充実度やサービスは良く、オールインであればもっと充実した滞在になるかと思います。
スパのヘッドマッサージはあまり上手ではなく、こちらはお金を払って施術を受けるだけの価値はないと感じました。
しかし、施術者によりマッサージの上手さは変わると思います。

Unacceptable business practice

We had booked and paid for two rooms but only one was registered. No apology and no initiative to correct the situation. On the contrary, we had to fight to get our money back for the room we had paid for but not used.
As a guest, the hotel is not experienced as a five star resort in terms of the ease and comfort of using the facilities. You have to register for towels. You cannot get a beach towel before 8 am. You cannot open a parasol if it is closed, being told that ‘there is a reason it is closed’. Many unknown rules that one seemingly has to comply with. The irony: I double checked that I didn’t need to sign off when I returned snorkeling gear. No, ma’m. Next time I went to get goggles, I was told I hadn’t returned them the previous time...

المكان بعيد عن الخدمات والمطاعم الموجوده داخل المنتجع لازم تحجز فيها يومين او اكثر قبل مع امكانية عدم توفر اماكن والاسعار داخل المنتجع مبالغ فيها
