Perfect location on the Caudan Waterfront.

The hotel is very well appointed and comfortable, food in both restaurants is excellent, also with a pleasant bar terrace, although the service can be a bit supercilious.

The staff was lovely, I had come much earlier due to my flight and my room was available when I arrived. The room was beautiful, with great water views. The only downside was there was no shower gel when I wanted to shower late at night, had to use the hand soap! It was corrected early the next day. Breakfast was decent. Would have been 5 stars if not for the shower gel debacle. Will come back.

Worst Hotel Experience!

Aweful service by some staff members. Overcharged bill, wrong room service order delivered, 45 mins wait for a soup at the restaurant, elevators not working for entire hotel……long list of issues in just 2 days of stay at this hotel that I have not faced in past 20 years of travel. Will not go back again. Run down hotel now. Way past its glory

Labourdonnais Needs repairs

The hotel is in need of upgrade . The elevators were out of order for over a month and guest are expected to walk up stairs and the use the service elevators. This should be told to guests before booking not when we arrive at the hotel. Cleanliness was good .food improved.

The hotel is a business hotel in a convenient location. The restaurants are terrible and service is sub par. Additionally amenities such as the mini bar, were never stocked, so one had to order room service. So in general, it is not good value for the money.

A faultless stay!

What a brilliant hotel - the room was amazing, the hotel was absolutely spotless but most of all, the staff were beyond amazing. They treated me as a friend, not a client. They knew me by name and remembered every day to ask me specifics about items I had told them the prior day. A faultless hotel. To top it off, delicious food from breakfast to dinner to anything in between with a view of the Port and the Waterfront Shopping Centre. A VERY SPECIAL shoutout to Sahai and Hurvin at the restaurant who went above and beyond as well as to the ENTIRE reception team who never failed in the caring and kindness.

I would leave a negative score if I could.
EVERYTHING was bad, from service to food to cleaning.
The hotel is just falling apart, old and moldy carpets, I needed to move three rooms till I got one with air conditioner who wasn’t make a tractor noise.
Last thing as an example of how absurdity cheap is this place is, they reuse the paper key card holder, they write the room number on the cover with pencil, and when new guest come, the use eraser and put the new number and give the same card holder to new guest, just to save few cents, never seen anything like this in my life.
If you have to stay in Port Louis, there are many better hotel 10-15 min drive, it worst the hassle in order to avoid this hotel.

We've stayed at Labourdonnais before, and decided to stay here again over new years as it's very central and the service was excellent.

This time round we found that some details we liked last time was quite the same. For example, the bed was rather hard and both my husband and I left with very sore necks.

As a vegan I found the food options extremely limiting. However, the food was always of quite a high standard.

We had 2 servers that went out of their way during our stay for breakfast and dinner - Ziyaad knew all our orders off by heart :)

Conveniently located business hotel. We came here over Christmas for a short stay. Hotel location is very convenient but the rooms and facilities are more for business purposes. On Christmas Eve, the hotel did surprise us with a few gifts - they are small but very thoughtful- thank you! Services in the hotel need to be improved but more for consistence reasons, such as room services and the breakfast services. Overall, it is a very nice and convenient business hotel for short stay but not too much for young families.

!We spent a terrile night in Labourdonnais hotel in PortLouis, Mauritius. in theevening suddenly the water supply to our room and vathroom wss cut off,nobofy apologzed or found a solurion. couldnt use bathroom shower brush our teeth, the reception oeolke sai ,\"we sre sorry. there was an issue\" .Wster didn't come back even when we left at 11:00 ..I demand of Expedia a full refund for this room.

It is a old and classic hotel. It is a luxury business hotel located in Waterfront. If you take Dinner Package you can order up to Mur1200 per head excluding drinks. Nothing special. I do agree sit at the open area for drinks is good. Friday Happy Hours drinks are 50%off. Next to hotel there are a lot of restaurants and food court.

Fabulous location, immaculately presented and wonderful staff. Rooms were a good size with large TV's and an excellent bathroom. Something minor required fixing in my room (toilet seat!) and it was done immediately. The bed was large but was clearly 2 singles pushed together, and it could be felt (one was softer than the other!) Otherwise it was an exceptional experience, with lovely helpful staff and a fantastic restaurant overlooking the harbor.

We had requested for a twin bed. When we arrived they said they had no information but they will get it done in next 2 hours but it was never done. Sadly it was not the next day also. If it was not possible they should have said so.

The good thing about the hotel was that service was excellent and staff helpful. They also had a room that guest could use after check and take a shower. This is well appreciated.

Five years since previous New Year stay, excellent refurbishment programme completed.
Service polite, professional and competent. Kevin was attentive and looked after us well over dinner.
Held my wife Birthday Party with 23 family guests five years ago, well arranged and managed by functions manager.
This years Menu for Gala Dinner exceptional and breakfast this time, a real treat.
A skilled and committed team of staff at all levels.

On & off , Housekeeping seemed to miss out on a few basic things but it wasn't be of great importance.
This was our second room and the toilet seat was loose in this room too and the sink drain was very slow.

The hotel is nice enough but was let down by the service in the Brasserie Chic and the food at breakfast. The breakfast food was just not good enough. The pork sausages were awful.Tasting a bit like a cheap hot dog. The baked beans were not exactly Heinz standard. I ordered eggs Benedict and the muffin rounds were like concrete and the eggs cold. On the last day I ordered sunny side up eggs and they had the heat too high because the bottom was burnt but the tops were raw. Just not good enough for a hotel of this supposed standard. The quality of the evening ,meals was excellent. I had the seafood stew, Steak and lamb shank and all were superb.
The highlight of my stay was Mohini in the executive lounge. Nothing was too much trouble. I was there early but while I waited for my room she bought me tea and snacks and when i said it was my first time in Mauritius bought a map and told me the tours to do. I took her advice and took the Chameral tour. It was fantastic. I got a toe infection and Mohini showed genuine concern and offered to help with doctors and pharmacy. I have travelled Africa for many years but have not come across such a genuine caring person in guest relations. She should be commended and I really hope she is there when I return next year. A true superstar. I hope the hotel realises what they have.

A very nice hotel except for very small swimming pool and at the moment it is surrounded by a gigantic building site. The waterfront is being rebuilt and access to the city of Port Louis is very difficult. So hard to recommend at the moment - will be better when all the building work is completed.

We liked the location near a few restaurants, banks and shops. The room was very comfortable but the bathroom was small and shower did not drain very well, the breakfast buffet was one of the better ones we've seen and the staff pleasant and reasonably attentive. The bistro restaurant was decidedly expensive for the quality of food, wine was at least as expensive as pricey North American places. We did not use the pool but it and space around it ws tiny. Front desk staff were very helpful.

Fabulous hotel on the harbour front

We had a short break at this hotel on the 11th to 13th April 2018. It is a beautiful hotel well situated, near shops and the harbour front. Staff are friendly and go out of their way to ensure you have everything you need. Food was excellent
We had a complimentary sun set cruise and a room upgrade with a lovely view of the harbour. A surprise birthday cake was brought to our room on the eve of our celebration. A memorable stay we will definitely visit again

1. No one was able to assist me in getting connected to WIFI. I had to call an IT friend who did it for me within seconds.
2.I saw a cockroach when seating for dinner. I informed a waiter who ran away. I killed the cockroach myself. Later the staff apologized.
3. Service at breakfast was poor/slow.
4.Restaurant menu not very attractive.
5. Hotel looks a bit tired!
6. Front desk staff very courteous and friendly.

Luxurious Hotel with Spectacular Seaview

All the staff of the hotel were polite and helpful. Our suite was very spacious and nicely furnished. We enjoyed very much the spectacular 360 degree view of the sea, the promenade and the arena near the hotel from the balcony, with a glass of red wine in hand. The mattress and the bedding were so comfortable for us to have very good rest after the long flight. For sure we would love to stay in this hotel again when we get to Port Louis next time.

In Convenient area

We stayed for 5 days. Very nice hotel. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. Room was big and comfortable with port view. Shopping and lots of restaurants were within few minutes walking. Breakfast was ample. My husband is a vegetarian.. He had vegetarian curries and rice. When we needed taxi and tour service they organised everything. I found in Mauritius taxis were always on time once we ordered. I think this hotel is in the best location in Port Luise. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone without any reservation. One thing I need to mention here. Every night they brought chocolates to our room. First night they brought a desert ! It was a surprised and well appreciated. Thank you Laboudannais.

Picked this hotel because it has great views of the harbor and of ships arriving and departing. This would not appeal to most people as they come to Mauritius for a beach vacation. It fitted me perfectly. I had a junior suite on the 5th floor which was perfect for my needs

We will definitely stay at this hotel again. It is in my favorites list. The hotel staff are exceptional. Our check-in was smooth, our room was a dream, overlooking a bay, a smallish dock area for smaller boats, Some may not like the view of the silo on the opposite side of the bay, but this is a downtown hotel & we were not expecting sands & palm trees as this is not that kind of 'resort' hotel (there are some in the same chain). We needed this location & it exceeded all expectations. There are 3 restaurants which offer superb food--if you are a foodie Yuzu is a must. Ours was a business trip but we also wanted a hotel that allowed us downtime in comfort. We had that in the spacious room, & access to a walkway along the water. There is a mall virtually steps away from the hotel where you will find bank machines. It links to another mall where there is a duty free store that delivers to the airport, but you must give a few days notice. The Blue Penny museum is next door. Parking is easy in the adjacent guarded hotel parking lot--a small space--remember to park facing outward. You have a choice of valet parking or self-parking. There was no charge for parking. We did not use hotel public seating areas much but found the seats comfortable and arranged with discreet conversation in mind. Wifi is good for a hotel. In-room water is gratis & in glass, not water bottles.

Absolutly wonderful staff, Begining from the doormen, then the front office then the rooms then the restaurants, every member of staff in this hotel are fabulous. I have been going to this hotel for many years, All the staff new or old they are superb. It is good to see the new staff had been trained to match up to the high quality of hospitality. Well done the senior staff for training the new staff so well to understand the returning guests and treat them well to get them back again and again. If I go to write the names I will have to write the names of every member of the satff. Thats how good every member of the staff in this hotel. The credit should go to the middle management and the senior staff for the great job they have done in trianing the new staff. You can see great harmony among the staff. Every member of staff from the junior to the senior and middle management will identify the returning guests and will make you feel welcome.

A review of a home away from home in Port Louis

I stayed at this hotel for 9 days with my family. Gaby and her team of ladies on the executive floor were awesome! Well done ladies; your attention to detail and level of service was fantastic. The availability of the lounge was great as it provided a quiet working space, for some of us who travel with work obligations. In general, the ambiance of the hotel was great. The gym was as well equipped as one can hope for whilst on holiday. The sauna was in good working order and although the pool was small and not deep it was clean at all times. I also liked the fact that the hotel accommodates a small number of guests at a time avoiding the hustle and bustle of ocean front hotels. However, the hotel is within easy reach of most beaches and tourist attractions which are typically 40-60 minutes drive away through some beautifully scenic spaces.

Have stayed before. Prefer other places in Mauritius, but this is good for a quick in and out business meeting

A most pleasant interlude

we were \"guinea pigs\" on the new executive 6th floor and there were a few things like missing 2nd bedside table and warm fridge in the room an a few things in the bathroom which we already mentioned to the staff and had been corrected on the spot. All the staff were very attentive.
