The rooms were very more for single businesses traveller,than for a couple, Shankur at the front desk was quite helpful,but it was undone by another staff,who comfortably forgot to serve us water in the room and did mention it.Business hotel close to the mall.

Zaihn at the reception allowed us very early check in and was kind enough to allow us late check out. She was extremely helpful, respectful and friendly. The room was clean, large soft towels, two complimentary large bottles of water, coffee/tea area, safe and fridge available for use. Only complaint was the shower kept flooding when we used it. Breakfast included was a vast choice of items and we thoroughly enjoyed everything. There's a one minute walkway to get you into the grand Mall next door. Would definitely stay there again!!

When I checked into my room, the toilet had been used and not flushed/cleaned, and the kettle was not working. Otherwise my stay was okay and I liked the proximity to the mall, restaurants and places I needed to visit.

I am writing to express my complete disgust with the level of service I experienced at your 3-star hotel. From the moment I made a reservation to the time I checked out, the staff displayed a lack of professionalism and care. I requested a late checkout and help with my suitcase upon arrival, both of which were not fulfilled. The reception staff were unhelpful, indifferent, and even rude. Housekeeping was inconsistent, with sheets not being changed and delays in cleaning. The blackout curtains were falling off, the AC stopped working, and the shower was clogged. The lounge staff made me feel unwelcome, and the manager was rude. The overall lack of hospitality and disregard for guests' needs and comfort was appalling. I will be advising others to avoid this establishment.

The hotel is dirty and full of insects and bugs in the room. The hotel staffs are not cooperative nor helpful. I complained about the ants and bugs situation since day 1 and asked for partial refund of remaining nights because I did not want to stay there anymore and the staffs are really good at avoiding refund. They make up so many excuses to stop me to see a manager. 2 more nights until check out, I desperately asked for refund again and they said the refund manager is on vacation for 3 months so they could not do anything. Don’t ever stay here! Also they love to add small charges to the room and don’t tell you until the last day when you check out.

Normally a great all round experience however the advertised satellite tv DID NOT EXIST!! In fact at no point during the 5 nights could I watch TV, this is problematic on a business trip as its nice to unwind in your room and have entertainment!

Most terrible bed i ever had. Cannot sleep if you move the noice wake you. The curtains have little holes ...light came threw i could not sleep. The reception staff was great...friendly and helpful.

The room is very compact and small with no leg space for easy movement. To top it up, the bathroom doesnt have blinds and it becomes extremely difficult to use it if you are staying with a friend and not your spouse. The ventilation is terrible in the bathroom and the hand shower is not fixed properly on the wall and falls off which is disappointing. With the price being charged by the hotel, I expected the services to be excellent but was left horrified to get a sub-standard quality. The hotel staff also are not aware of available activities, events, restaurants, etc. in the city so as to guide the tourists who are new to the island.
There are so many opportunities to improve and if the staff can actually work on those, the hotel could do wonders!

This is my 3rd time stay in this hotel. Location wise is good for business trip. And their wifi did improved when compared to 3 years ago. Breakfast buffet is very limited choice and no salad at all. Hopefully hotel can provide more choice on salad and some noddles or fried rice in their breakfast. It will be good for Asian guest. Thanks.

I needed to stay in Moka and have to say this budget hotel was more than adequate. I was on a family visit and needed to be close to my family near by. We will be coming back for sure - the team there were polite and professional.

The hotel is well located, not too far from the capital city and other points of interest. Its facilities are well maintained. The staff is friendly. The breakfast buffet is adequate. The only disappointing fact is that for the price one is paying the hotel does not provide concierge services or toiletries such as shampoo, hair conditioner, moisturizer lotion, etc. It's next to a fancy mall a couple of kilometers from Maison Eureka and the immigration museum at the Mahatma Gandhi Institute in Moka.

This is one if the worst hotels I have stayed . They want to emulate the west but fall flat on their faces! Free internet is at a pathetic speed forcing you to pay for a higher speed. Breakfast is repetitive day after day. Tv channels in a joke. Changing TV channels is such a pain. Bathroom design is a total flop. No hand showers . Room service non existent. I would recommend that one stay a 100 miles from this hotel. Pure garbage. Waste of money not a business friendly hotel at all

Mauritius for three weeks
Voila is a business hotel, ie it is used for training sessions, small conferences, etc. The hotel is adjacent to a large shopping mall (Bagatelle, Mall of Mauritius, in Moka). The mall has plenty of cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, as well as a beauty parlour, chemist, jewellery shops, etc so the fact the hotel has no facilities (except for a café, MokaZ) meant it suited me perfectly, as I was not wanting a beach resort or a hotel with pool, spa etc. The staff were helpful, there is a laundry facility (at a small cost), and Wifi, plus an in-house computer which served my needs for accessing emails. On the main road there are plenty of buses going to Port Louis (27 Rupees, or 33 for the Express service.
My three week stay in Voila hotel was paid in advance via Hotels.com (the hotel couldn't offer a better price when I enquired). The taxi to the airport cost about MUR1300 (approx. £27), but I paid for it c/o the hotel, so that seemed the best/safest way to organise a taxi. Tips are usually about 10%.
The airport is about 30 mins from Voila Hotel.

My stay was reasonable. The room was as described albeit a bit small. Letting people know about breakfast at checking would be helpful. Only downside is I called them twice asking if I had left a charging cable in the room. Both times I was told they would call me back within 5 min and I'm still waiting for their call

We were given a very small room at our check in. We spoke at the reception and Mr.Michael changed our room to a bigger and brighter room. He was a very understanding and friendly person.
The house keeping was terrible , our waste bins were not emptied, toilets not cleaned. We had to call the reception every day to ask them to empty the bins and clean the room.

The things that matter in a hotel namely service is lacking. Although the staff had a smiling face the smile lacked any warmth or seriousness. For example there is no bell boy. Understood that you want to cut staff but how do you move your baggage? At least provide a trolley. Just a lovely location and what a waste of property. I think the location disincentives the staff and management to do anything for the hotel because it sells by itself. Pitiful exploitation of the circumstances.
