While the room was really small and disappointing from the photos' present and also the description of ocean view etc, nothing to talk about, the floors were super slippery and fell down due to the same at the entrance of the property. Over all we can term this is a budget property if you are tight on your purse. Jessica was super enthusiastic and she is the real one who takes maximum efforts to run the show smoothly and makes the shuttle run in the absence of laid back staff, who are less responsive. The reviews can be mixed but having travelled around the world , chose this property only if you are very tight on purse. swimming pool was just ok , but the so called fitness area was pathetic. break fast also was not much to talk about as my wife had no breakfast all the 4 days as it has no proper veg options.
Really tough if you have no vehicle as every restaurant close by is really far off.

Clea, but bedding not great. Tried calling their phone number given, but no one answers phone for 3 days. It’s much cheaper if they arrange pickup. For some reason the photos looked like was on the water, but u need a shuttle to get to beach and last one is 6pm. So u r stuck there at nite with nothing near by. Receptionist not friendly at arrival and didn’t help with bags. Much nicer next day, but checked out early to a nicer hotel. You get what u pay for

This is a very good and affordable hotel in Flic-en-Flac, Mauritius. The hotel is very clean and its amenities are in very good condition. The breakfast buffet is very good. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful and free shuttle to the beach and shopping mall is provided. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who plans to visit Flic-en-Flac.

It’s a nice place, checkin was awesome. Open terrace a nice place to watch the amazing sunset. 2 different pools offering variety. Unfortunately, there was a lot of dirt on crevices in the room close to the sockets. Our room had too many Hindu images that we had to pack them up somewhere.

Reasonable choice for breakfast with different cooked items each day. Note that the location is over 1 km from the beach. I believe there is a free local shuttle service and bike hire, but I did not use. Excellent value!

The staff here were genuinely friendly and thoughtful. Peaceful and quiet area, 15 min walk from the beach. The decor in the rooms was slightly outdated but it didn't affect our stay as all was just what we needed. The breakfast was delicious and varied each day. But best of all... They made such a lovely effort for us as it was our honeymoon. On the first night we arrived so late but they welcomed us in and our bed was covered in fresh tropical flowers and a basket of sparkling drink and chocolate! Thank you L'Oiseau de L'Ocean for making our honeymoon so enjoyable on your relaxing, comfortable, safe and happy hotel!

We felt like in paradise. It was a wonderful stay. The hotel is located close to Flic en Flac. It's a great place to stay for a longer time (we stayed 12 nights), if you rent a car, you can easily make trips across the island.
The hotel offers really romantic atmosphere. I'ts quiet, the hotel manager and the whole family makes you feel like at home. They are always there, very helpful, but not annoying. The breakfast was really great with everything you wish - coffee was really good, everyday different fresh tropical fruit variations, many kinds of yogurt, cornflakes with nuts and dried fruit, eggs, pancakes, cheese, ham, jam etc. If you want to eat healthy or not, there is a huge choice for everyone. The breakfast at LOLO is the best start of your day in it's quiet and not overcrowded restaurant.
The rooms are big and clean, very well equipped, there is a nice terrace in front of each room. WIFI was quick and well working in the room/ public areas. The hotel features 2 swimming pools (sweet and salty), both clean with a romantic quite atmosphere, nobody disturbs you, we felt like at home there. In case you still freeze in 30 degrees, you can try the cute infra sauna in the garden, I tried it and it was nice to relax there alone with the pool /palm trees view.
The location is great, you have Cascavelle shopping mall very close, also other supermarkets like Spar are not far away.
We would definitely recommend this hotel and we will definitely come back.

Lovely Family Run Hotel

Well run family hotel with excellent customer service (always a smile on the face of all the staff we encountered). L'Oiseau offers a basic but more than adequate array of amenities. Breakfast options were OK and a bonus for the rates to be honest. Parking was good either on site or across the road. Although a 20min walk to the beach, we just drove as it was easier & more comfortable in the 32c! For us, as we were visiting a lot of family on the island, the location was ideal. Avoiding the rush hours, when travel time can double, we could get anywhere on the island within an hour. Our room (with seaview) was a tad small but it was sufficient for the two of us ie comfortable bed, aircon, shower, fridge & balcony. The maid service was daily and very efficient. The pools are pleasant and well maintained. Improvements? The WiFi was patchy (but worked OK when it was up and running) and the room and shower room could do with some hooks/rails to hang clothes & towels. Would we stay again? Definitely.

A great budget friendly option

This is a great little hotel with two outdoor pools, friendly and helpful staff, and clean rooms and facilities. It is about a 20 minute walk to Flic en Flac beach, but the hotel has a free shuttle service which was very handy. The room we had was a little cramped for us two adults and 1 child (and our bags) and the shower took a little while to warm up, but these were minor issues to us. Overall, we were happy with our stay and would definitely stay again. A great budget-friendly option

Considering the price I paid I expected lower standards and was happily surprised. The room was equipped with a small fridge, a kettle, flat screen TV & air conditioning & was cleaned everyday. Breakfast was basic but they would serve additional items at your request such as cooked eggs or bacon or mushroom. So even for that can’t complain. And although I didn’t use the swimming pool & sauna & bike they were available so definitely recommend. Only thing at times Internet inside the room was a bit temperamental & slow & I had to go in the public terrace to have better internet. Besides Flic en flac has a really good beach & a local shopping center and at your request they provide a shuttle to take you there and they even bring you back until 19:30. So what else can you ask for.

We were three adults sharing a family room in this small hotel situated in a quiet residential area . The room was basic but kept to a high standard and had everything we needed. Beds comfortable, room cleaned and towels changed every day.. The staff are friendly and very helpful.

Overall it was a good to stay at this hotel. However, it would be nice to have some leaflets around in the reception to give us some ideas what we could do around in Flic en Flac or surrounding areas. Also, it would be nice to have a desk , a bit more comfortable to use laptop. Overall it has been a pleasant and enjoyable stay and staff were very helpful.

Really good place to stay, staff friendly and attentive, decent breakfast and rooms clean. The only thing I would say is that all the doors and windows are open throughout hotel as no air con (although there is in your room) so in the evening mosquitos seem to be about. But other than that would definitely stay again, we hired a car so it was perfect otherwise the beach is a 20-30minute walk and there's a shuttle bus.

The hotel is located few minutes walk from Flic en Flac beach and cascavale shopping centre. Appreciate the staffs for providing free shuttle service to these locations.

Breakfast was included in the package and was good. Special thanks to the property manager for helping me with planning my day trips and arranging chauffeur whenever I requested.

The room was smaller than expected but comfortable. The bathroom could have been a bit bigger.

Overall good experience with the hotel and definitely recommend them for their service

It was a great Stay. Great Property. Very silent . Very nice Pool. Kevish is managing every one very well . Whole staff is nicely trained. Dave, the great man will take you here and there for free . You can buy all the stuff needed from 2 super markets Spur and Cascavale. There is no issue of lunch and dinner as Dave will drop you on many restaurants on flic n flaq or cascavale or on the way. Be here if wish to cool with nice breeze , silence , do cycling , do swim .

This hotel is very well run with excellent breakfast. The room is large and clean but for a longer holiday there could be some more cooking equipment (stove and pots). The hotel is quite far from the beach (2,5 km), you can walk but it's not a nice way. A car is a must.

Decent hotel, but not the best value for money

This hotel is about a 35 minute walk or 5 minute car ride from the beach. The rooms are nice with AC, TV, en suite and decent sized beds. The wifi is a bit temperamental. Hot water is difficult to come by in the morning, but speaking to my Mauritian friend this seems to be a common occurrence in most places as their water are solar powered, though you would not have this problem if staying in a bigger resort.

Breakfast consists of bread with different spreads, various pastries, cereal, tea, coffee and juices. No eggs or bacon I'm afraid.

My two biggest issues with the hotel was the value for money and the services/activities provided. I was in Mauritius for a wedding and my friends were staying in a five star resort on the beach and was paying less than I was. In terms of the services; the in house taxi driver was charging me 250 rupees to flic en flac (everyone else was 200), suggested snorkelling and swimming with dolphins for 2200 rupees (I did it for 1400 elsewhere) and I was sold a pack of cigarettes for 200 rupees (they go for 140-160 in supermarkets).

Overall, independently this is a decent hotel but you can get much better value for your money if you went elsewhere.

Niveau à part cuisine c'est minimiser quand nous sommes arrivés une seule petite cuillère de couteaux 4 fourchettes 5 grandes cuillères deux verres ballons de verre à eau pas de range couvert donc tout en vrac dans le grand tiroir pas de saladier une petite poêle mais pas de casserole

En voyage avec un couple d’amis, nous avons séjourné une nuit dans cet établissement. Vu de l’extérieur cet hôtel est très beau mais, notre chambre donnait sur une cour dans laquelle était posé la fosse septique ou réserve d’eau. Donc la vue du minuscule balcon n’était pas top. Dans la chambre, nous avons trouvé un mégot de cigarette, les rideaux vieux et tachés.
La salle de bain était convenable en taille mais la fenêtre n’a jamais vu un chiffon à poussière.
Le petit déjeuner compris dans le prix était correct. Heureusement nous ne restions qu’une nuit !!!

Wir sind zwei junge Reisende, die oft mit kleinem Budget unterwegs sind und normalerweise nicht wegen jeder Kleinigkeit meckern. Wir haben schon viele Unterkünfte gesehen und sind mit dem Mindesten zufrieden. Aber bei diesem Hotel wurden unsere Grenzen eindeutig überschritten.

Schon bei unserer Ankunft war die Bettwäsche dreckig und wies Blutflecken auf. Diese Flecken blieben, da die Bettwäsche nie gewechselt wurde, selbst wenn unser Zimmer angeblich gereinigt wurde. Die Toiletten rochen stark nach Abfluss und das Wasser brauchte ewig, um warm zu werden. Ameisen waren überall im Zimmer und Badezimmer zu finden.

Das Frühstück war okay, aber es gab jeden Tag dasselbe und kaum Auswahl – nur Burger-Käse und Margarine statt normalem Käse und Butter. Sogar im Frühstücksbuffet krabbelten Ameisen herum. Die Pools waren dreckig, und niemand traute sich, darin zu schwimmen. Die Zimmer sehen auf den Bildern viel besser aus als in Wirklichkeit. Es gab keine Kommode, sodass wir unsere Sachen auf dem Boden ablegen mussten.
Es fühlte sich eher wie ein altes Airbnb an als wie ein Hotel. Einheimische reagierten immer seltsam, wenn wir erzählten, wo wir übernachteten, und meinten, dass dieses Hotel für seine Fake-Bewertungen bekannt sei.

Das einzig Positive ist die Lage – wirklich top – und der niedrige Preis für Low-Budget-Reisende. Aber der Preis erklärt sich ja von selbst...

Manager ist nett- alle anderen lächeln nicht einmal.

Bon séjour en général, personnel accueillant mais sans plus, literie horriblement dure, climatisation bruyante, insonorisation très moyenne, chambre propre à l arrivée, piscine bien.

毎日、ビーチかショッピングモール往復のシャトルバス（無料）が出てて便利だった。受付に相談すると、都度タクシーの予約もしてくれた。

dans l'ensemble je le noterai 07/10 accueil convenable, petit déjeuner correct , propreté des chambres très très bien prenez surtout la chambre vue sur la mer,l'hotel et un peu éloigné de la plage à pied mais je crois qu'il y'a un service dépose client gratuit à vérifier,piscine trop petit si il y a du monde et qui ferme a 19h30 en plus ,rien à côté ne pas ce fier aux photos ont à l'impression que ce n'est pas le même hôtel pas à fuir non plus

Das Personal war immer freundlich und hilfsbereit. Manchmal wurden beim Zimmerservice Kleinigkeiten vergessen, z.B. ein neues Handtuch, aber auf Nachfrage erhielt man dieses dann sofort. Das Angebot beim Frühstücksbufett könnte etwas reichhaltiger sein, z.B. mehr Käsesorten und unterschiedliche Brotsorten. Die Lage des Hotels war sehr ruhig. Sehr positiv war der kostenlose Shuttleservice zum Strand und zum Einkaufszentrum sowie das kostenlose tägliche Strandhandtuch.
