The customer service was really great, the room old and smelled like dead fish in our room, we bought candles to help with odor, hair and dirt in corners and you don’t get cleaning services. Honestly the location was great and so was the customer service other wise I would have given this property a 0

Great location if you don’t need to go to the boardwalk. Beds and pillows were fine. Pool was nice, not crowded. Sitting area/deck over cars was good for relaxing (unless it was overtaken by one large group of guests).
Across from a park, which was nice. There were activities every day and night, exercise classes, bands, food truck night, fire prevention night, SO if you want any sort of quiet time, this is not the place for you. Otherwise, it was quite entertaining and family friendly.
Internet was awful. Minimal cell signal. Couldn’t sign in with the password.
**We were charged 4% credit card fee even though I used a debit card. Staff said the machine does it automatically and they can’t change it.
Other guests blocked walkways often. Other guests hung clothing all over their chairs/tables outside their rooms, and all around the pool fencing… looked like white trash back yard. People smoking right near exits and smoke filled the area under the garage. Had to walk through dumpster water and sludge to leave the hotel to go to the beach.
Parking was insanely tight. Spaces are way too small.
For the amount of money we spent for 4 nights, I could have gone to Florida.
To do: Don’t overcharge for use of debit cards. Don’t allow guests to hang crap everywhere… maybe put hooks or clothes lines/racks in the rooms. Don’t allow people to block walkways. Don’t let people smoke near the building. Have the cleaning staff straighten up rooms during the stay and refill items.

I love coming to wildwood its a memorable place for me. I decided to try the Gold Crest. At first the front desk lady questioned me about my car and service dog as I walked in. I told her I tried to email them about my dog but no reply. At first I was on the 3rd floor and than after settling everything up in my room a Knock on the door from a man telling me that I have to move because of my dog. For an extra $30 per night. I had to move everything to another room and it was such a hassle to my trip. Overall it's very family friendly and close to the beach. There was a loud concert going on across at the park and the police closed down the street. It was a hassle coming back to park again. Other than that people were nice and kept to themselves. Everything was close from breakfast spots to bike rentals to places to walk my dog. I don't think Id stay here again, I felt like it was a bit up tight. Would deff stay some where more welcoming. The rooms AC is a bit weird too. One room you would get super cold and in the living room its super hot. Water in the shower was nice. Bathroom also had spiders.

It's an OK place not more than that. Room is clean but the furniture is very old and you see that it’s not the priority of the manager. I don't think that buying sufficient forks, knife and spoon is a big thing. Even the pans are so small that you can't cook anything in it. The BBQ outside is almost working, either the heat does work enough or one of the burners is not working. The pool is not heated which is very sad because the machine is there. Overall it’s an OK hotel but when you pay 3000$US for a family of 4 and you get an average place, feels like Mexico is a better choice for next time. And for that amount can you at least ask your front desk staff to smile or be at minimum nice with us. Felt like we were bothering them more than anything.

I do not write reviews ever. This is the first time. But after putting out a $1100.00 for a three-night stay, I had to speak up. It may seam like a reasonable price, But I expect some comforts.
The air conditioning was broken. Our room was at a constant 90 – 100 degrees for the entire stay. To sleep at night, we needed to prop open the door and sleep with one eye open.
When I mentioned this at check out, I was told that they would have installed a new unit.????????
I WOULD THINK THIS WOULD BE PART OF THE PREPERATION OF THE ROOM BEFORE GUEST ARRIVE.
Well then there is the issue of the broken light fixture in the bathroom. This light would go off and on randomly. I would guess it was a bad bulb, but it would come back on if the fixture was shaken. I second guess was that it was a loose wire. That is just what you want when you are soaking wet or brushing your teeth!
The reviews state that the rooms are clean. Well, my feet were sticking to the carpet the minute I stepped into the room. My stomach is turning to say the least.
I am soooo happy to get out of the nightmare and be home.

Awesomely clean and convenient motel. Myself and 2 friends went for the weekend. I will definitely stay here again. Room clean, beach right across the street, free concert in the bandstand which we could see and hear from our sundeck. Clean pool, mini golf and ping pong table, all free and at the motel. Grills and tables free to use. Joanne at the front desk was great. 10 out of 10

Second year at Gold Crest for a week at the shore. This is a family friendly & relaxing place. The mini golf & table tennis are great when the kids aren't in the pool.The location is perfect! Directly across from centennial park where they have fun festivals & free concerts to enjoy during the evenings. Behind the park is the beach only a half block walk. The facilities & rooms are what you'd expect from a typical shore motel... dated & somewhat small in the rooms. A few minor upgrades would go a long way cosmetically. But if you're like my family, we only stayed in the room to sleep and were off adventuring at Water parks, the beach, amusement rides & boardwalk shopping only a 5 min drive. Walking distance to bike rentals and several playgrounds even a baseball field, tennis courts & basketball courts are just a few blocks away. The staff is awesome. Very friendly & attentive. If you're one who stays in the room more than venturing out then know that it is a standard motel with extra firm mattresses that may be a negative but they do have basic cable tv. Wifi was spotty so bring a hot spot if that's a deal breaker. Overall it's always a great week spent for family vacation.

Great location, very friendly and helpful staff, the room was clean and comfortable. The patio is also nice, you can watch the summer concerts at Centennial Park from the patio. Great ocean and beach views from most of the room balconies and the patio also has a great view. There is a big outdoor pool, they also have a cute mini golf course, a ping pong table and outdoor grills. It's a very short walk to the beach, the boardwalk was about a 10 to 15 minute walk. There is parking on premises for 1 car per room. Great place to stay!

The location of this motel is fabulous. We were able to enjoy a summer concert from the hotel patio that was across the street at Centennial Park. The quiet beach was a short walk away. The pool and mini golf were fun. Staff was welcoming and helpful. The only thing I would improve would be the quality of the beds that were a bit too hard and probably old. We loved that the motel was non-smoking. It was a great vacation for my family of 6.

The staff is so accommodating and very friendly. It is a great family owned and run hotel. Rooms are pretty clean. You do need to bring your own coffee or tea if you want to make it in your room. They provide a coffee maker but nothing to make. However, they do provide complimentary coffee in the main office in the morning. It is right across the way from a beach entrance which is so convenient, like a 2 minute walk! It is quite a walk to the boardwalk so you'd have to drive and park somewhere nearby, unless you don't mind the 15 minute walk to the beginning of the boardwalk. Overall, it was a great stay and we would definitely stay again!

Standard time tested show shore motel. Great staff was responsive to all guests requests & is in a perfect location directly across from centennial Park. Beds were very stiff but made it for a week. AC was in the bedroom so beware that it will get really cold if you have people staying in the living area. Bring extra blankets to keep warm at night. Bathroom was clean just old school. Again standard time tested motel down the shore. It was nice that they had a separated smoking area away from the common areas. Gramma & hubby are smokers but were able to easily walk to the smoking area and not feel casted off. Mini Golf was a plus for the kids before & after the pool closed. Overall a great value for what we paid.

There was a lot to dislike about our room. The refrigerator was very rusty, the televisions were extremely limited, the bathrooms were moldy, the beds hideously uncomfortable but the location is incredible! So close to the beach/boardwalk. For the price, it really wasn’t worth it. There are plenty of other, cleaner, nicer places in the crest but in a pinch, this place was fine. Good place to sleep and poop and thats all. I would stay here again if I had no other options but I’ll definitely book a different place next summer.

Our suite, including bathroom, was very clean. It’s a short walk to the water; through Centential Park to the path to the beach. We could see the beach/ocean from our room. There are breakfast places a short walk away, and the boardwalk hubbub is a pleasant mile-ish walk on a cement path by the beach. Stores and gas are an easy mile drive away. The pool was spotless each morning as was the rest of the property. The desk staff and cleaning staff was friendly, helpful and very competent. The room was a bit dated, but well maintained. I would definitely stay again.

Since it was med October the place was not crowded which was nice. Tina at the front desk is so awesome. She was very friendly and suggested several things to do as well as a good place to eat. The motel us dated, but we knew this when we booked. We like to stay at Mom and Pop places as they as more personal. Liked having the extra bed, but then again having a live seat in the living room area would also have been nice. Liked having the two bureaus as well. Definitely will recommend to family and friends. Hope to see y'all again!

We were pleasantly surprised when we got there 4 hours early and were simply planning on asking to park there until check-in and we were able to get in our room! Way overpriced for what we got. As I explained to the staff, the photos I saw online when we booked the motel looked very gold-crested, like a unique condo with a sofa and social living room area. What we got was a standard motel room. Then at midnight, I awoke to the thick smell of cigarettes in our bedroom. When I shared these concerns with the staff, the first staff person blamed Hotels.com for posting the wrong photos. That was a lie - it's how the motel posted what looked like a condo. The second reception person said they'd 'done some updating.' There is NO WAY the photos I saw were even the same motel. It's immoral and unlawful to post photos advertising one place, and then give someone keys to another place after they've paid for it. Hotels.com owes it to customers to no longer list this motel. I still believe I'm owed some kind of reimbursement. Buyers beware.

I stayed here with my son for a four day vacation, for the first time, and I highly recommend it.. check in was easy, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and our oceanfront room with the kitchenette was perfect. Room was very clean, towels, shampoo etc were also provided, and even gave me an extra blanket! The pool was nice, and mini golf was fun.. so If you are looking to go to the Wildwood area, this place was absolutely great.. looking forward to my next visit!

A very disappointing place. The people who run it are friendly yet it does not diminish the condition of the room for which we paid $341.00 for ONE night. Refrigerator was dirty on the outside, had a faulty noisy fan. The room (called a suite) has one air conditioner that requires standing on a chair to adjust the temperature. The carpet was old, very worn and not clean. The electrical hook ups were dangerously inadequate. The microwave oven and the TV in one room were plugged into the same extension cord. Old lamps with unstable shades. My sister and I were looking forward to a nice comfortable, up-to-date room, given the price. Expedia, you need to check out the places you recommend. This motel needs some major inspection.

We booked a room that was supposed to be a suite. It was to have two bedrooms with four double beds and a sleeper sofa. We reserved this suite for 5 adults and 2 children. This hotel does not have a suite!!! Every room is exactly the same. 1 bedroom with 2 double beds and a front room with no sitting area But another double bed a table with chairs. We paid almost $700 for this two night stay. The hotel insisted that the online third parties are to blame and the third party insists it was the hotel. Hotels.com offered me a $250 voucher to accommodate us for the confusion. Overall, the rooms are small but nice. Price was ridiculous for the size. Owners were nice.

I was disappointed because even thought it was described as \"ocean front\", the motel was actually a block back from the ocean with a park in between. A larger hotel blocked the sunrise, which I was looking forward to having a view of in the morning. The kitchen could have been better stocked. There were NO forks, but I'm sure if we would have asked, the manager would have gotten them for us. We had a problem with the air conditioner at first, but they quickly solved the problem. We also had to cover up the window above the door because it let in light at night. But for the most part, it was a nice place to stay.

This is your typical Wildwood hotel, only cleaner. Yes, the bathroom is outdated and so is the room but very clean, close to beach, full refrigerator, mattress encased in full protector ( we always check for bedbugs so noticed the full proctector).
