I was not satisfied with the accommodation, I solved some of the things with the manager and I also reported Expedition with the attached photographs as evidence. 1. Frequently we parked a foreign car in front of the apartment, which made it impossible to see the apartment (also with the accommodation manager) 2. Nearly all of our stay was in the pool of green water (all documented and sent expedition) 3. Bad connection Wifi sometimes did not work almost 1.5 on 4. Breakfast was imported and was almost the same and some things were missing (yoghurt ...) 5. Grill in terrible condition unclean 6. On our arrival, no one knew us and they were all surprised (I already rated it in the email from the CHECK-IN) The cherry on the cake was when the staff member of the residence came to tell me that we were leaving 6 and then we had to deal with the manager of the hotel. 7. The apartment was in a terrible condition a stove and a toilet running through. 8. One day we did not clean the room and we had a whole day in the room with the remnants of the breakfast which last night was at our request was taken by the security guy 9. The 24-hour reception as it was written at the facility was also unavailable and more more more...Please refund my money...Thank you

OK, but not up to my standard, will not use again.

There are some older villas and some newer villas - my family and I (4 adults) were in a 2 bedroom older villa.

We arrived late at night in Mauritius, was very dark outside, drove from the airport to the villas. Extremely difficult to find the place at night - as the majority of roads have no lights on at night or even any reflective cat's eyes. As I knew the main roads well I was able to reach the area then rang the number given for Residence Villas Mont Choisy and was given clear directions to the place. I would strongly advise if you have never driven in Mauritius before or don't know the area well to contact Residence Villas Mont Choisy and ask them to arrange pick-up from the airport/get a taxi from the airport to the villas, as roads can be quite dangerous to drive in, expecially at night.

The villa was very clean, everyday the bedlinen is changed and villa is cleaned. All of the furniture is old and not modern. The bathroom has an old sink and the shower is not a shower cubicle but instead is a shower area with tiles on the floor and walls. Windows could not be closed in the bathroom - 2 cockroaches got in. One of the things that needs major improvement is the lighting - even when all the lights were turned on it was very dark in the villa, very hard to read books, use the mirror and relax in the villa. Nothing was provided on our first night and throughout our stay, except - toilet paper, soap, bed linen & pillows and handwash. All staff are friendly and helpful.

We really enjoyed it. Kids could walk to the beach or stay at the resort for a swim. The staff was amazing. They helped us whenever we needed one.

Stay in Mauritius

The hotel is located in a calm and quite place and very close to Mont Choisy public beach.the property is well maintained. Excellent as B & B or self catering apartment. Staffs are friendly and helping. Only issue is language for communication. They are not comfortable in English. We had an excellent stay there. The beach is only 2 min walk from the property...just on the other side of the road.

Pleasant Stay at Resident Villas Mount Choisy

As this was our first visit to Mauritius, we had a tough time finding the place as we had hired a car and drove ourselves. It would be a good idea to welcome the guests and pick them up from the airport when they arrive. The rooms were clean but the Manager and staff was not there - the security guard was helpful but ill equipped. Basic things like soap, shampoo, drinking water etc were not placed in the rooms. Wifi was patchy in the room provided so we changed the room closer to the router after 2 days and things were better. Guests could be guided about things to do and tours to take.
Once we accepted that we had to arrange everything ourselves, the stay became pleasant. The location is the best as it is walking distance from the Mount Choisy beach.

Our two bedroom apartment was very spacious,the beds comfortable and the air conditioning quiet. Although things are a little tired the lovely ladies who clean every day do an excellent job. The place is well run with 24 hour security and a full time gardener/poolman. The gardens are attractive and the pool is nice and deep for swimming, there is a little pool for toddlers. The apartments are only across the road from a good beach but if you want to go out at night there is not much nearby, you really need a car as the buses which are almost constant in the daytime do stop early. We did see into a one bedroom apartment and felt they were a bit small and gloomy, they are in a separate part of the building.

The location was excellent - just around the corner from the beach. The bus stop is right outside the gate of the property so getting around is very easy and cheap. My only recommendation is that they should fumegate to get rid of some cockroaches that we spotted in the kitchen.

Great vacation

Simple, functional villa in a very nice setting across from perhaps the most beautiful beach in the world; there are restaurants close by as well as a supermarket; good to have a rented car otherwise taxis are easily available. Possibility of taking tours to other parts of the beautiful island which is as pretty as the French polynesian islands of the Pacific. The island is colorful both for its lanscapes and its people. Good opportunities for water sports.

Villas Mont Choisy - a nice place to stay

This was a good, small and affordable hotel with extremely helpfull and friendly staff. The spacious bungalow was just three meters from the swimming pool and included a nice terrace. Room had 2 bedrooms and combined livingroom-kitchen with all equipment to cook for yourself. Living room had also 2 sofa-beds so that the bungalow could have been occupied by a max 6 persons.

The largest beach in Mauritius 'Mont Choisy beach' is just accross the road about 200m away. Other than that, there is not much to be seen around the hotel. There is a restaurant or two (good quality Indian restaurant at the neighbouring hotel) and a small shop nearby (500m) but the nearest collection of shops, drink bars and restaurants is located 6km away at 'grand baie', to which you'll have to take either an extremely cheap bus (bus stop is near by) or a cheap taxi.

This place was OK. We had a studio apartment which was quite big but basic and also had an ajoining door to the next door apartment. This was noisy but all noise was drowned out by the aircon anyway. It was very clean, but well used. The pool and garden were very nice but unfortunately close to the very busy main road which is noisy during the day. Quiet in the evenings though. Very very close to the big public beach, which is very nice and safe for swimming. Many restaurants a short walk or taxi ride away - if walking a torch is vital at night to be seen by traffic (no pavements)!! All in all a good base for sightseeing in the North.

Bra läge. Närhet till Mont Choisy strand samt otroligt fina Trou aux biches. Bra med bussförbindelse till staden Grand Baie för kvällsaktiviteter och middag. Ett gulligt hotell med fin personal som lämnar frukost i lägenheten varje morgon och som sköter städningen. Trevlig personal överlag på hotellet. Tyvärr är hotellet i så dåligt skick att städningen inte avspeglar deras insats. Massvis med myror och mindre insekter inne i lägenheten. Lämnar man frukostbrickan ensam i 10 minuter kryllar det av myror. Kan man leva med det och ser till att hålla mat/sötsaker enbart innanför kylskåpet så är detta hotell ett perfekt hotell i förhållande till läge, stränder, förbindelser. Samt otroligt prisvärt. Jag kommer dock inte återvända då jag är alldeles för kinkig när det kommer till skick och renlighet. Får de

hôtel plutôt familiale, ou entre jeunes!

Malgré la Froideur de l'accueil de la responsable et son oublie d'envoyer la taxi venir nous chercher a l'aéroport, les employés sont beaucoup plus accueillant. Hôtel très propre les chambre sont très spacieuse et confortable. idéale grande famille ou groupes de jeunes. Le tarifs est très abordable.

Petite résidence très calme a deux pas de la plage

Nous étions en appartement 2 chambres. Ils ne sont pas encore rénovés mais devrait l'être bientôt. Les pièces sont grandes. Il y a le wifi sur le balcon uniquement. La piscine est propre. La plage de mont Choisy et à deux pas de la résidence ce que nous apprécions énormément.

bon hôtel proche de la plage (il n'y a qu'à traverser la rue), chambre confortables, un effort est fait sur la décoration. L'équipement est bon. Seul bémol: des remontées d'égouts dans les toilettes et le petit déjeuner vraiment très mauvais. Sinon le reste est OK, le personnel est super. N'hésitez pas à aller boire un verre ou manger au Mystik, l'hôtel juste devant. La literie est très bonne

Appartments nahe Mont Choysi Beach

Grosszügige Appartments welche gut ausgestattet sind. Wir waren mit zwei kleinen Kindern dort.
Die Studios sind im Verhältniss dazu doch ziemlich klein. Der Mont Choisy beach ist ca 150m entfernt.
Allgemein ist Mont Choisy eine eher ruhiger Ort. Grande Baie ist ca 10 Autominuten enfernt.
Der Strand ist sehr schön und viel wenig frequentiert.

Впечатления об этом отеле не самые лучшие. Отель очень старый, белье серое от длительного использования. Рядом с отелем мусорная свалка. Пляж Монт Шуази недалеко, но совершенно неухоженный. Купаются в основном местные. Вода, почему то, не прозрачная, хотя, буквально в нескольких метрах, на пляже Тру о Биш она кристально чистая. Несмотря на все это, нам понравилась хозяйка отеля, приятно было с ней общаться. Мы бы не рекомендовали этот отель.

J'ai fait une réservation car j'avais besoin d'un lieu confortable pour dormir avec une connexion wi-fi.
Malheureusement le wi-fi était plus que médiocre je devais sortir de la chambre pour me connecter et malgré cela je perdais très très très souvent la connexion. De plus il y avait des rénovations. Je trouve que l’hôtel ne correspond pas du tout à la description.

Perfect location, great staff

We (couple with 6 year old daughter) had a great time at the small scale, quiet and relaxed Residence Villas. We had a two bedroom apartment which was very spacious and had a terrace with pool view (all apartments have an outside area and face the pool). The garden and pool area are partly in the shade, which is nice since it can get very hot. We enjoyed the massages at the nice in-house spa. The beautiful and quiet Mont Choisy beach is very nearby, just a short walk. The local busses stop regularly in front of the apartment complex and are a fun way to visit neighboring beaches and villages. Doreen, manager of the complex is almost always present and does a great job in making your stay memorable!

Jag och min familj är väldigt nöjda med vår resa. Att bo ett stenkast från en helt fantastisk strand är perfekt. På stranden fanns det flera matvagnar där man kunde köpa billig lunch, så man slapp ta med sig mat eller gå iväg någonstans att äta. Vi valde att vi ville ha frukost på hotellet och då kom de upp med en bricka till rummet varje morgon med kaffe, te, frukt, bröd, smör, marmelad, juice mm. Vi är nöjda med vår vistelse. Personalen på hotellet är väldigt trevliga och hjälpsamma. Ett tips är att hyra en chaufför en dag och åka runt ön och titta. Den södra delen är väldigt vacker med mycket grönska och höga berg.

Pratique mais ce n(est pas un hotel

Résidence Villas Mont Choisy est avant tout un bed and breakfast et non un hôtel
Qui plus est il y aurait un gros rafraichissement à faire dans l'appartement N°13, serviettes et linge de lit tout tâchés, pas de torchons, pas de réceptacle pour la brosse des toilettes !!! Carrelage cassé, ampoule grillée, lumières blafardes
Les couverts sont au compte goutte, nous avons été obligés d'acheter des petites cuillères !
Le seul point positif est la proximité d'une belle et grande plage mais attention car plage très appréciée des Mauriciens et pour le coup la résidence est envahie durant les week end et perd tout son calme et sortir un véhicule du parking devient un parcours du combattant.

Résidence correspondant plus au standart Mauricien et pas très adapté pour une famille, on est habitué a mieux, très bruyant car fréquenté essentiellement par des familles mauriciennes. Aucun service en dehors du petit déjeuner et aucunes boissons disponibles.

On a pas eu notre appartement à notre arrivée pour problème électrique . On l'a eu que le lendemain . Entre temps on était logé dans 2 studios . Très bien situé par rapport la plage, belle piscine, concernant le coin barbecue ce n'était pas au top. Pour l'appartement c'était très bien.

pourrait être un bel établissement si rénové.

le quartier est très bien, la plage est une des plus belles de l'ile. L'hôtel est vétuste et a dû être très bien il y a qq années. Le personnel est très accueillant mais les équipements sont souvent en mauvais état. Mais ce n'est pas cher ( point positif ) et il est très bien fréquenté. Il est vendu pour un 3 étoiles, mais nous ne les avons pas trouvées...

Hotel ancien mais agréable!

Nous avons eut 2 chambres au lieu d'une seule, mais les logement sont anciens et quelques taches ( coussin du salon, marbre de la cuisine ...), des carreaux cassés dans la salle de bains et des interrupteurs qui ne fonctionne pas tous comme le bouton sensé appeler l'homme à tous faire! Nous n'avons pas pu regarder la tv car l'image sauté tous le temps ( a cause de l'eau dans le récepteur de l'antenne d'après l'homme à tous faire) et enfin le wifi est très capricieux et coupe souvent! Que 2 prise à la française!
Mais le truc qui ma le plus agacé, c'est de devoir toujours demander d'augmenter la pression de l'eau pour pouvoir se doucher!
Sinon c'est grand, lumineux les clims fonctionne bien, le lit est à ressort e relativement confortable! Le petit déjeuner est bon ( surtout la confiture :p). Les femmes de ménages sont très gentille et donne au serviette de jolie forme :D
Dans l'ensemble on passer de très bonne vacance.

Hôtel bien placé mais vieillissant

La résidence est bien placée (5mn à pied de la plage de Mont Choisy, 5mn en bus de la plage de Trou aux biches et 10mn en bus de Grand Baie).

Le prix est très correct. La climatisation fonctionne et la taille des chambres est correct.

Par contre, l'aspect extérieur et intérieur des bâtiments et la piscine sont décevants dès l'arrivée dans les lieux.
La TV n'a pas fonctionné du tout de la semaine, malgré nos réclamations auprès de la réception et du gardien de nuit.Dans certains appartement la table en terrasse est une table d'apéro ne permettant pas de déjeuner.
L'eau de la piscine a tournée à deux reprises, empêchant la baignade pendant 3 jours à cause des produits utilisés.
Un petit filet d'eau coulait de la douche rendant très compliqué un simple shampooing.
La route devant l'hôtel est très bruyante et extrêmement dangereuse si vous avez des enfants en bas âge car il n'y a pas de portail clôturant la résidence et les voitures passent très très vite! (notre enfant a failli la traverser pour rattraper un ballon!!!).
Enfin, manque de restaurants à proximité immédiate et SPA ouvert très rarement (nous n'avons pas pu avoir de massage le dernier jour avant notre départ).

c'est un hôtel qu'on peut prendre pour passer deux nuits si on n'a d'autre choix mais pas pour passer des vacances en famille sereine et pérenne. l'appartement est sombre, les meubles et l’électroménager vieillots et cassés, l'électricité non conforme, poussiéreux ... pas accueillant pour un 3 étoiles. les photos ne correspondent pas à la réalité.

Bien placée , proche la belle plage de Mont Choisy. Appartement confortable, ménage fait tous les jours. Pas le grand luxe des 5 étoiles mais un tarif raisonnable pour des prestations très correctes. Assez grand pour une famille de 5.

Résidence vieillotte, mais proche de la plage.

Arrivé le premier soir dans une chambre très très vieille, peu confortable, nous avons pu changer le lendemain pour une chambre plus récente mais la literie ( coussin et matelas ) est très limite. Si vous cherchez un absolument un prix au détriment du confort, à éviter. Par contre le personnel est parfait.

Etant originaire, on recherchait un hôtel qui nous permettrait à la fois de rendre visite à la famille, faire quelque cours et permettre aux enfants de découvrir l'île. Et franchement on a été comblé. Si vous êtes en famille, n'hésiter pas.

Not an Hotel

Hi,Spent four night here in June. This is not an hotel with a resturant or anything like that. It's a selfcompartment living which means you have your own kitchen and so on. If you prefer resturants on your holiday then you need to have rented a car (at least off-season) to get to Grand Baie. The bus will only run until 20:00. We had alot of ants inside so be careful with living anything out (such as bread, fruit and so on). The location is close to the beach but with no resturant nor shops really close. 30 min walk to the closest super market.
