Wonderful Boutique Hotel with excellent Staff

Jennifer and her staff were amazing, everyone was so friendly and helpful. The hotel location is excellent with plenty of restaurants and a supermarket close by. The breakfast choice is excellent and you can eat it on your balcony or have it served overlooking the beach. The hotel even organised a surprise snorkeling trip and decorated our bed for my birthday. On the weekend the area is a lot busier and noisier but it did not bother us.

Small, quiet get away.

A small hotel / rooms right on a private beach with a lovely pool. The staff were very helpful and the option of breakfast on your balcony or in the garden was very different and pleasant. It is not really a hotel, there is no dining room, bar etc but if you want a quiet room in a good location it is perfect. The rooms have a great bathroom, bath and shower and a small kitchen for heating up food etc. It is located very near bars and restaurants and has a large supermarket very near also.

We stayed at Ocean Beauty as part of out honeymoon in Mauritius and it exceeded our expectations. A very small boutique hotel situated right on the beach with stunning views of the sunset! Everything about the place was designed to help you relax, from the very well appointed room including small galley kitchen, huge luxurious bed, lovely big bathroom, excellent choice of breakfast items delivered to your favoured spot. I wouldn’t hesitate to book another stay here

Wonderful stay!!

This boutique hotel offers everything you expect of a large 5* star with the benefit of a very quiet and personal stay. The hotel staff are exceptionally helpful, the location is great and the beach and views are breathtaking. Breakfast is always done to cater for your needs and the table is prepared for you at the beach or at your personal terrace as per your request.

Nice room not very far from the beach!

Not a five-star hotel, but still, it was nice to stay over there! It's close to the beach - around 50 m away (you don't have an open view on the beach). WiFi wasn't working everywhere in the room.

Dream location - needs some TLC

It's a dream location with beautiful views of the bay at the end of the hotel garden. The hotel and staff look a little tired and need a revamp. I think the owner needs to employ some extra staff as key times. Cleaners and security were 1st class.

The breakfasts are always hit or miss with something invariably missing off the menu each day e.g., omelettes, brown bread, cheese, fruit juice etc.

Although the breakfast is advertised from 7.30, it actually starts at 8am. One day we missed the breakfast as we had an excursion booked and nobody was around at 7.30. Another day, they completely forgot us (only 9 rooms). Some extra staff would help as they seemed flat out !

The card keys for the room regularly deactivated due to proximity to mobiles. We always kept them apart however but with no joy.

We could live with the above but given it was high-high season, what we found intolerable was the Chinese owners determination to take advantage of the fengshui (confirmed by staff) to build an extra building 2 meters from the pool. Imagine the nightmare situation of a Paradise view ruined by the incessant noise of builders rendering and banging!

This was not cheap as it was Xmas and NY so imagine our disappointment. We mentioned this to the receptionist who was rather unenthusiastic about the situation. We still had a great time and would return to Mauritius at the drop of a hat!

Centrally located Hotel right at Pereybere Beach \n

Friendly staff, great location with easy access to transportation, groceries, restaurants, minutes away from the Pereybere Public Beach. This hotel would have been the perfect getaway for a peaceful and relaxing holiday except for the frogs from the on-site fish pond croaking non-stop at night which can really disturb guests

Would return and stay longer, some lights and switches were abit dodgy, hot water took awhile to run and bath plug leaked, spa pump ran but no flow thru jets. Kettle plug didn't suit power board supplied and no milk. All and alll still enjoyed our stay.

Very bad experience

I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anybody. First of all the safe was not working and the receptionist girl told us to put money and passports into the not working safe and nobody would touch, but they rob my wife's money from her purse in front of the bed. Thanks god I didn't put money there so that they couldn't reach it. After telling this problem to the receptionist they didn't pay attention. Besides in the kitchen and bedroom there were many cockroaches. It is a very dirty hotel at all. After 3:00 PM you can not find anybody at the hotel, only the security guy. There are so many good hotels, go somewhere else.

nice veranda and good breakfast

The room I stayed is quite big with nice veranda which has good see view. Breakfast was really nice and I enjoyed. One thing I advised to the hotel is the lack of hot water supply to the bath. It seems the hot water tank doesn't have enough capacity. Hope this would be improved soon.

Relaxing hotel , great location on the beach.

We recently spent two weeks at Ocean Beauty, loved the quiet, relaxed atmosphere of the hotel and the location was good for walking to local bars and places to eat in Pereybere. The hotel was really clean and the breakfasts served on your balcony or seafront were tasty and plentiful.The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful with sorting trips and taxis or advising on local areas of interest or places to eat. We loved the location on the edge of the bay where it was gorgeous to swim out or take a short stroll.

Most relaxed holiday imaginable

The hotel is very well situated next to the beach, and this beach is very well sheltered from virtually most winds. Only breakfast and Sunday lunches are available - the quality of food is however good. Only about 10 rooms are available and it does not really look like a hotel from the outside. Towels are old and worn and need to be replaced - the shower leaked water onto the floor and the blocked toilet was fixed by a competent \"lavetrician\" (i.e. an electrician who also seems to be a plummer). The beach was awesome and simple shallow snorkling reveals lots of beautiful coral gardens with lots of splendid tropical fish and even some sea tortoise. A top class modern super market & bakery is less than 5 minutes walking from the hotel, as well as many restaurants. Cheap bus transport is readily available about every 10 minutes. Despite some of the mentioned negatives, the stay was most relaxing and we only have good memories of quality time spent both inside the room and outside the hotel.

Lovely hotel right on the beach

Our first time in Mauritius and would go back to the same hotel. We fully recommend this hotel for a short or long stay. We stayed there for 14 nights. Anywhere we ate the food always nice and the local people are very friendly and make you feel very welcome. The food and drink prices in the restaurants are very reasonable so it's cheap to eat and drink out. On average an evening meal and a few beers and wines for my husband and myself cost between £12 and £24. The sea was nice and calm and very clear to see the fish. Lovely beach to walk along from either side of the hotel. The local supermarket is only a short walking distance from the hotel and a fresh fruit & veg stall right outside the hotel every day. We took a 30 to 40 minute ride in a taxi to a Sugar Cane processing plant which showed you how the local Rum was made and was very interesting if that type of thing appeals to you and another day went on a boat trip for about an hour until we got off on another beach and had a BBQ done for us and plenty to drink and a nice area for swimming.

Great hotel right on the beach

The room (sea view suite) was large and comfortable and overlooked the beautiful garden and the sea. All the staff were welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived and they did everything possible to make our stay a special experience from the welcoming cocktails to the petals on our bed. Each day we had a breakfast of our choice on the terrace of our room.

Low key, quiet holiday

Relaxing, comfortable room and the housekeeping services were excellent. Breakfast was delicious and the Indian roti was a lovely surprise.
Enjoyed that it is located in the community rather than a resort quarantined from its surroundings.

We booked the hotel for 4 nights. When we arrived there very nice girl broulght us to the room. The room was very nice and we were pleased, but... In a minute she informed us that she made a mistake and we should to move to another one, similar. No problem. We haven't unpacked yet... We moved, but in 2 or 3 minutes, she knocked on a door and said that she had made a mistake and we had to move again. We moved and our new room was absolutely different - small, dark, smelly - they call it deluxe and boutique! We were not satisfied, but what could we do? It was fully paid and unrefundable. The hotel itself is lovely. It has its own beach, you can have breakfast by the ocean and selection of dishes is pretty good. Staff is very friendly. So you can stay there, just don't book deluxe room.

Aloof and Unobliging Beauty

It's disappointing, really, when you visit such a beautiful place and yet feel so unwelcome. The receptionist is the main problem - disinterested, bored, tired, and hostile, she tarnished our whole experience. I was traveling with my mom, who has limited mobility, yet her lack of concern or empathy was palpable. The breakfast did not live up to the delightfully sophisticated menu - a \"fresh fruit platter\" consisted or two bruised bananas and 6 slices of pineapple, for example, and the \"order from our bakery selection of croissants, pain au chocolat, pain au raisin\" etc actually could only deliver to slices of plain white toast that were crisped to cardboard. And what kind of Mauritian kitchen runs out of chillies, one of the stated ingredients for the Mauritian omelette? All of this smacks of poor or no management, staff who are untrained or untrained. The setting is sublime, the pool and ocean setting blissful, the rooms well-resourced and comfortable. The basics are there, but this beauty lacks grace and is unwelcoming. I'd give it a huge miss if I were you. There are so many other fish in the sea, hotels in the area.

Small hotel for a relaxing time

The hotel is 6 years old and needs a few minor renovating touches. However, the gardens are lovely with a very nice pool and it is right on the beach. It is so close to the lovely sea that the pool is nearly redundant.
The service is extremely good. The breakfast is very good (we had it on our big room balcony, but they will also serve it in the garden if requested) and every thing is cooked freshly to order, but perhaps a bit short on variety.
The rooms are very big and comfortable; ours had a side room with a single bed and a cot. The bathroom is big and has an enormous walk in shower. There are only 9 rooms. I don't think that the rooms with sea view are an advantage. However, choose the upstairs rooms as they have higher ceilings and appear roomier.
All the staff are very helpful and accommodating and made us very welcome. The whole atmosphere is... relaxation!
We had a fantastic time and will recommend anyone to have sometime there.

Séjour de 5 nuits, l'hotel a besoin d'un rafraichissement qui semble en cours depuis un moment.
Cependant, le cadre est magnifique (petit déjeuner les pieds dans le sable au bord de mer, la piscine est bien nettoyée, le jardin est modeste mais bien entretenu).
De plus, le personnel est très attentionné et anticipe nos besoins. Tout le monde est très souriant.

Very nice and small boutique hotel for those who like to stay away from crowds. Nice rooms which have what one needs, very good service of nice, dedicated personel which can be asked anything at anytime. Breakfast is 'made to order', super fresh and served in the room/on your balcony/terrace or the hotel's terrace, whatever is preferred. No dinner but multiple restaurants are within 2 mins walking distance. Located on the beach with private access, a nice garden with trees, bushes and flowers makes this place different from big hotels and a great place to stay if it fits you. Every couple of years we go to Mauritius and now for the 3rd time at this location.
Limited in size, quite, no-nonsense but with great hospitality and service level makes this place brilliant as well as unique.

It has positive and negative sides.
First it has very good location for sea lovers. There are local restaurants and a big supermarket near. There is a swimming pool as well but it wasnt clean,so we we prefer swimming in the sea and pereybere public beach is highly reccommended. At breakfast, there is an omelette, some fruits, yoghurts, croissant and baguette with tea or coffee. Room was clean and comfortable. There are small fridge, microwave and boiler. However, staff is very kind and helpful.
On the other hand, there are lots of lizards around the buildings and even in rooms. Rooms drains werent ok. At the first day whole night was raining. In the morning our room was full of water we were shocked. Staff changed our room immediately, but we were lucky not to get wet all our clothes. Everyone cant be lucky as we are. One more information there is no reseption at night :(

Der er 3 nye fantastiske værelser med den mest vidunderlige idsigt i 1. Række. Ejeren er særdeles flink og morgenmaden blev serveret på din terasse eller i haven efter eget valg. Lækker pool, stranden lige nedenfor og gode snorkeldykning direkte fra stranden. Stort supermarked og flere restauranter lige ved siden sf. Den medt fantastiske solnedgang over den flotteste strand med turkis blåt vand.

The residence is situated on the northwest coast in Mont Choisy. Mont Choisy Beach is 75 m away, just across the road.

A bus stop, restaurants, a grocery shop, a bank, a pharmacy and a number of other hotels offering a range of activities (subject to a minimal fee/entrance fee) can all be found in the vicinity. It is 1 km from the village of Trou aux Biches and 6 km to Grand Bay.

The complex consists of 10 bungalows and 5 studios with a swimming pool and garden. The hotel provides a laundry service (subject to fees).

All rooms are well-appointed and come with all essential amenities. A bathroom, satellite/cable TV, a kitchenette, individually regulated air conditioning and a safe all feature as standard.

Guests may take advantage of the outdoor swimming pool. From Sir Seewoosagur International Airport take the M1 towards the city of Port Louis for approximately 45 km.

Drive through the city to quay D round about and take the M2 towards the North for 10. 6 km to Pamplemousses roundabout.

Take 3rd exit for another 12 km drive on the A13 to Grand Baie roundabout. Take first exit on the left on A4 towards Triolet for 3.

2 km then at junction with B13, turn right on road to Mont Choisy for another 1. 7 km leading to the junction of Mont Choisy.

Then turn left on B38 for 300 m drive past Tarisa Resort, turn left and continue on B38 for 200 m to arrive at Villas Mont Choisy.
