I arrived after 7pm ( 19:15 exactly) ans reception was closed so I had ti use an automated system to get my key and make a payment; unfortunately, system didnt work and I had call emergency number and tried to explain the situation but the gentleman didn’t speak English. After 1 hour 15 mins later while I was trying to contact with other reps this guy shows up and said he was driver and opened up the door for me. Long story short, no one wonder what the hell happened to me the next day and did not even tried to contact me.

I stayed in Berlin for nine nights to enjoy Wagner's Ring Cycle at the nearby Staatsoper. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The location was very good for accessing the tourist sites in Central Berlin.

This may have been our lack of understanding but never the less if you want older people to stay with you there is room for improvement here. To have everything online is not helpful either.

I cannot fault the place - spacious, extremely clean, well equipped (toaster, microwave, kettle, coffee machine, cutlery, china), good quality toiletries and very comfortable bed. The room was very quit, had a balcony (unexpected so great surprise), a speaker and bathroom radio (nice touch). Easy access to transport, however not always needed as most of the places to visit are within walking distance.

We liked the rooms but I booked the comfort apartment which says sleeps 3 for 3 teenagers traveling with us. They made me pay an additional $80 per night for the 3rd kid. The main reason I chose the Clipper was to accomadye 3 older kids to stay in a room adjacent to ours.

Lovely place to stay, so quiet in a busy city, with a small kitchen for breakfast in the room. Only negative is that when we forgot our keycard in the roomin the early evening, it took 45 minutes for someone to come and help. If we hadn't had our phone with us, there would have been no way of contacting the out of hours security.

What a great find, via the website, in the former East Berlin and excellent for transport links as the U5 and U6 train station Unter den Linden was < 1 minute walk from the apartment main entrance. We booked a garden room which was nice having a little extra space in this central city setting. The kitchenette met the requirements, and a lovely rain shower in the bathroom, if I am being really picky the fixed shaving mirror was not ideal but as said being picky. Really spacious room, with a desk, sofa and arm chair. Very helpful staff at reception and the cleaning staff too. We had a late check in this was via the restaurant next door again really good . Nice place for breakfast close by too around the corner. When I visit Berlin next time I would book the apartments again. Recommended

This was a really nice property and the staff were very helpful. When we arrived, the beds were set up as a king, and they graciously remade them into 2 twin beds. Overall, the stay was very nice. My only “complaint” is that the beds were more grim than I prefer. But that is nothing wrong with the property. Just a preference.

The apartment was excellent, very good location for getting around places, rooms were spacious, beds comfortable, and the kitchen well equipped, and the reception staff were friendly. The only downside is that the reception is only open for limited hours. If you are to arrive at weekends, it would be difficult to find help if you need anything other than simply getting the door key unless you arrive before the reception closes.

We were given a great recommendation for a restaurant for dinner. Now the negatives. No USB ports. It was difficult to find any English channels on the TV and English subtitles didn’t work. Only 1 roll of toilet paper provided and they don’t clean or restock the room (until after 6 days). You have to pay for extra coffee pods and cream and sugar. I really think they could throw in enough for your stay. The cost was not average I believe. All in all we enjoyed our stay.

This was a great place to stay and will be our first choice if/when we return to Berlin! The room was comfortable, the shower worked well, the Wi-Fi was decent, there were plenty of restaurants all around and it was a short walk to the Brandenburg Gate. We arrived with late check in and it was very easy too, as was officially checking in the next morning.

The hotel property was clean and was a convenient 7 minute walk from a main station. The staff was super friendly. We weren't able to check in when we first arrived in the morning because the room wasn't ready so we left our bags with the front desk. The hotel did call us early around noon letting us know the room was ready and we could check in early. They even had our bags already in our room waiting for us. Great service.

The hotel property was clean and was a convenient 7 minute walk from a main station. The staff was super friendly. We weren't able to check in when we first arrived in the morning because the room wasn't ready so we left our bags with the front desk. The hotel did call us early around noon letting us know the room was ready and we could check in early. They even had our bags already in our room waiting for us. Great service.

Fantastic place to stay in Berlin! As this is not a “traditional” hotel, more like an apartment hotel, the room was very spacious with a sitting area and a kitchenette, just perfect. The adjacent Italian restaurant is very good.

This place gets such good reviews, but honestly, I do not understand why. The location was perfect, but beyond that, I didnt really like it. The room was cold (not the temperature, which was always way too warm and I couldnt adjust it) and sort of sterile. You could light a match off of the carpet. Absolutely nothing warm and welcoming about the room or the premises in general. The shower had white soap-scummy stains in it. There were two coffee pods, and when I asked for more, I was told they cost 70 cents each, which I thought was very mean. Also learned I could rent - yes, rent - a bathrobe. Very odd. The bed was comfortable enough. It wasnt a very nice place to hang out and relax after a long day. I didnt love it, and wouldnt really recommend it.

I booked this place for its proximity to the Berlin marathon start. The hotel exceeded my expectations. It has a large bathroom shower, walk in closet, kitchenette with everything you need but a stove, and also has a nice sized balcony to relax.

The Clipper Boardinghouse is a quality hotel and we enjoyed our stay. Our room was spacious and modern with nice amenities. Unfortunately, the air-conditioning was not working and we were in Berlin during a heat wave. The hotel had notified us 10 days in advance of our stay, but we were in a remote area of another country and missed the email. Still, we managed with the fan provided. We would stay at the Clipper Boardinghouse again. The service was excellent.

A large suite for less than the price of most other rooms in the area. A mini kitchen with a nice 2 burner counter top unit. Nespresso machine, microwave and refrigerator. Made breakfast in the room every morning. Nice bathroom. Also had an enclosed porch with sitting area and windows all around. Location was great. Nice Italian restaurant connected to the hotel which was open until midnight.
