Staff were very friendly, and the rooms were a great size and very clean which I loved. However, the air conditioning was extremely poor!!

We stayed one night upon arriving in Samoa, then went to Savai‘i, and stayed there again for two nights on our return. Unfortunately, both rooms we stayed in had terrible air conditioning. You can’t leave the air con running when you leave the room because it requires a key card — and only one key card is provided, even though there were two adults staying in the room. This means the air conditioning turns off every time you leave, and when you return, it takes a very long time to cool the room — and even then, it never gets cold enough. The air con units in both rooms also appeared old. It was extremely frustrating, especially in Samoa’s heat.

The breakfast buffet was also very disappointing. The food quality was poor, and if you wanted eggs, you had to specifically request them to be made.

The resort is nice and very clean.

24 hour gym was such a good addition I’d utilize it after the breakfast buffet to digest & to get some steps in on the treadmill after eating a meal at the Bar in the evening.

The housekeepers come by daily to service the room unless you have your Privacy sign on door than they do not enter but they restock daily.

Small tiny laundry area is great and also 24 hrs.

I would definitely book again for future trips back to beautiful Samoa.

The staff here from the front desk, bar, kitchen housekeeping all so helpful & informative.
The duty manager I didn’t get his name Fijian young man but he was so kind & helpful with suggestions.

The housekeepers maintained the cleanliness of our room for our 8 night stay, they made sure to restock waters/towels bed was always perfectly remade.

Complimentary breakfast buffet was also so good every morning! I would stay here again if I visit Samoa again & would definitely recommend Tanoa 10/10

The two blade walls behind reception were disgustingly filter, this is mgmts failure.. cleaning schedule.
No hot water on arrival! Had to wait for our hot water to be switched on to have a shower.. this is poor
Staff generally freindly n helpful, we had help with bags.
Rooms clean n tidy, but bathroom is dated and patched up with sealant.
Breakfast was good, freshly made omelette but had to wait a while when busy.
Pool area is great, seems well kept, cleanliness & ph checked in morning.
Overall 3 cos simple things to be done to get a 4, attention to detail. Otherwise, ok spot for 2 days, but wouldn't stay longer.

The deluxe room we had was large, the aircon was good. Full size tv with English channels. There was a separate dressing area next to the shower and toilet. The room had a safe and large balcony overlooking the beautifully planted gardens. Bed was very comfortable. Plenty of tea and coffee and water was supplied each day.
The staff were pleasant and helpful and the swimming pool was great although the water was a little warm. Breakfast was quite extensive but the coffee and orange juice seemed a little weak and there was only limited fruit. Happy hour from 5 to 7.
Location was good on the edge of town and a private transfer from the airport with Discovery rentals was 80 tala about 35USD.
All in all a good hotel that i thought was good value for money

During our twelve-day stay, my son unfortunately experienced a period of illness, which resulted in frequent room service requests. Although the meals were satisfactory, the associated charges were substantial.

Despite this, the quality of service was commendable, the accommodations were spacious and well-maintained, and the staff consistently demonstrated exceptional courtesy and professionalism.

My primary concern pertains to the overall expenses incurred, and I would appreciate consideration for a complimentary gesture due to our 12-day stay and the substantial amount we spent inside the hotel. Upon arrival, our room was not immediately available, leading to a waiting period. We were then advised to have breakfast, which cost $50 per person, a cost we subsequently covered. Additionally, the Fiafia night was priced at $85 per person, excluding soft drinks. I have asked the staff how much the meal itself costs at Fiafia night, as my son will only eat and then return to the room because he doesn't like the noise and crowds. The staff asked their restaurant manager, and he didn't acknowledge me standing there; he replied with the same price $85, so I ended up ordering room service for my son.

I trust that the hotel ensures equity for its employees, given the perceived high cost of various services.

Our stay at Tanoa was amazing. Our room was spacious and clean, the staff are all so friendly and provided great service. Breakfast options was okay but loved the egg station where you can request how it’s made; so good and hot.
The only con was their beef burger for lunch was lacking and juice at breakfast was never cold enough.
Location is great, the sea wall is right in front of the entrance and the shops are within walking distance.

We stayed here for 3 nights and liked that the location is close to main town. All hotel staff are very friendly and helpful even the Discovery Rental & Transfer. Food was great and loved the variety of food for breakfast, coffee machine cost but they have filter coffee for free which was fine too. The entertainment was great - live band on Friday & Sunday and try and not miss the Fiafia night on Wednesdays. They also have a souvenir shop which was convenient. Overall, service was amazing and you can’t get a better hotel in Apia for the price and location. Thanks Tanoa Tusitala Hotel staff!

Restaurant menu - needs expanding especially since the 2 restaurants and room service have the same menu. We were there for 5 days and after day 3 we had to go out of the hotel to look for food. Menu items ordered were tasty but just no option and no traditional food offered BUT they have their own plantation/gardens so the fruits and vegetables are all freshly plucked.

The location of Tanoa was great, my family loved how close to the main shops we were. The pool was great for my grandkids. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We stayed on the bottom level and the room was dark for me not much natural light coming in, if you don't have the sliding door curtains pulled back but this lacked privacy. The beds were very comfortable, staff came and changed sheets every 3 days but can do everyday when requested without hesitation. Fiafia night here is a must very entertaining, main reason why I wanted my family to stay here. The food provided here on the night was divine with especially the Samoan food. Breakfast buffet was sufficient could improve, providing more options.

While the staff and ammenities were nice there were a few things we didn’t like about the property. We’ve stayed here before and there have been some changes. There are more rooms built and while they are sizeable, the room we stayed in didn’t have sufficient air conditioning. It was almost impossible to cool the whole room. It’s great they’ve built more rooms but there isn’t sufficient parking for guests so we often found ourselves looking for parking when arriving from our activities.
They dont have elevators as well so be mindful if you’re put in an upstairs room to call for help with bags when checking out of the hotel. Staff are lovely! Property was well kept in most areas. Breakfast was always a hit in the morning. Pool and areas around cleaned daily by the looks of it. Enjoyed our time there but definitely a few things I noticed while there ◡̈
