We really enjoyed our stay at these amazing apartments with a beautiful view over the sea and right in the centre of the gorgeous village of Sissi.
The proprietor was very helpful and nice, happy to give advice on places to visit. She also booked our taxi from the airport and was ready to move us to a downstairs flat because I was walking in crutches.
The pool is also a bonus and the apartment complex has a beautiful architecture and is well kept. What a gem!

perfect, quiet, safe location. within walking distance to so much! great set up with room to spread out, hang up clothes to dry and well set up kitchen. mosquitos seemed to be an issue with the windows open some (some without screens) and limited hot water by afternoon or evenings for showers. we just adjusted accordingly. Anthi is fabulous and the apartment was great!

Porto Sisi is PERFECT for a longer stay. Spacious and clean and amazing location. The pool is well-maintained and overlooks the sea. You can swim in the bay just a short 2-3 minute walk in one direction or a 5 minute walk the other direction to a sandy beach with umbrellas, chairs, snacks and drinks. Housekeeping services were often and excellent. A/C in the bedroom kept the apartment cool during the summer heatwave. A destination for international travelers so we befriended lovely families from Germany, France, Greece, Switzerland, Sweden and the UK. Countless local restaurants and cafes and quaint shopping. A quiet and authentic location just a short drive to Heraklion and day excursions to other islands. Cannot recommend enough! We will return!

We really enjoyed our stay in our lovely apartment which was characterful, clean and spacious. Anthi gave us a very warm welcome and had very kindly fulfilled a special request as a surprise for me from my husband! All the staff were very helpful and friendly. The surroundings are peaceful with beautiful plants and pots and we were ideally situated not too far from the beachfront tavernas where you can admire the sunset.

We can not recommend Porto Sissi more! The most welcoming staff, beautiful and clean accomodation, great location and ameneties, close to shops and restaurants. We had the best time ever and we would higly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet holiday away from mass tourism.

Amazing property in an amazing location

The view of the sea from the balcony is breathtaking, as is so close to the waves despite being safely far enough from them. Every detail of the property has been carefully selected, keeping it simple and at the same time comfortable, and cosy, in tune with local tradition and style. Great base for Sisi

Great, spacious place to stay with lovely pool and only a short walk from the restaurants on one side and beach on the other. Loved the pool with the sea lapping in the background and our apartment was a lovely old school style with a downstairs kitchen/living room and wooden staircase taking you up to the bedroom/ bathroom - would highly recommend it - really a 4.5 out of 5.

Want to go back!

Staying in Porto Sisi was the best vacation decision we had made this summer. It was only 45 mins from HER airport and this town has almost everything you need. It located right in front of the ocean, few minute from local beaches and restaurant. Not quite crowded as other part of island, but because of the location, we want to come back definitely. It has small kitchen that we didn't use. There are few local bakery around the apartment (2-3 mins), we normally got up and take out fresh coffee and bread for breakfast on the balcony. The swin pool was good size, quite and gave us illusion that you are in the ocean without sand and salty water, love it. Very clean (no house keeping on Sunday) and kind receptionists. The manager was nice enough taking her time (hours!!) to give me all kind of information about Crete. Now I know why people come back to this place every year. We planned to do road trip around island whole week, but ended up staying in hotel and enjoy the pool, food, this gorgeous town Sisi. There are plenty of picture perfect spot in this town without going any further. Can't wait to go back!

Wonderful apartments close to sea

My husband, 11 year old daughter & I loved our time at the Porto Sisi hotel apartments. The apartments have everything you need for a self catering break and were kept spotlessly clean during our stay. The layout of the whole complex is lovely, with a swimming pool at the back overlooking the sea. The apartments are within easy walking distance of local shops, bars, restaurants, tour offices, car hire centers, etc. The owner & staff are very friendly and extremely helpful if you need any advice or even just a chat. I would love to go back again and would have no problem recommending the Porto Sisi to anyone.

Loved, loved, loved Porto Sissi

Porto Sissi apartments were simply amazing. Perfect location with all that we needed on our doorstep including restaurants, tavernas, supermarket and most importantly the sea and the beautiful sunset. We upgraded to a seafront apt on arrival and it was well worth the extra money. Apt 11 was just perfect. Very well equipped, spacious and clean. Adorable balcony overlooking the pool and the sea. Anthi and Maria very friendly and helpful. Everywhere in Porto Sissi was spotlessly clean and tidy. Pool was good size for number of apartments and we even had the pool area to ourselves at certain times. Definitely no need to be creeping out at daybreak to put towels on sunbeds. Absolutely loved, loved, loved Porto Sissi and the village/harbour of Sissi itself. If you're looking for a busy, party, nightclub resort, Sissi is not for you, but if you are looking for a relaxed, chilled out, no hassle holiday in a very picturesque area with very friendly tavernas serving delicious food, Sissi is the perfect choice.

Amazing hotel apartments

Amazing hotel apartments, very clean and quiet. Perfect for relaxing stay with friends and family as also with your boyfriend.
The people working there will make you feel like you are part of their family.
The location is perfect for bars, restaurants, coffee shops and local grocery market. Pharmacy shop 2 min away if you need anything!
4 min from the local public beach just perfect for 7 am swim in the sea.

The Perfect Cretan Getaway

On our first visit to Crete, this hotel ensured it will certainly not be our last!
Porto Sisi is situated directly on the sea front with a sea-water swimming pool (not at all over-salty) perfect for relaxing whilst looking out to sea! The pool area is frequently very quiet, ideal for peaceful sunbathing.
The cleaner worked to make sure the room was kept spotless with fresh bedding and towels every other day - definitely worth paying the additional costs for a Sea View/Sea Facing room - the views are lovely.
Maria at the hotel was exceptionally helpful in organising airport transfer - which took 30-35 minutes - and she can recommend some fantastic places to eat (restaurants are just minutes from the hotel doors!)

Very useful convenience store opposite the hotel entrance, while it is a short 5 minute walk to the beach one way, and 5 minutes to the harbour the other.

We would love to return!

Nice spot in pretty little town.

Peaceful location in small harbour town. We had apartment 14 on ground floor with a nice small terrace facing the pool and the sea. Most apartments are inward facing and it is worth the extra cost for the sea view. The apt. furnishings are rustic but comfortable enough and the kitchen is well equipped. Parking nearby can be a minor problem. Access requires climbing stairs.

Nice appartments with lovely sea view

Stayed at the Porto Sissi apartments for 5 nights in june 2015. The apartment was clean and spacious and we had access to 2 balconies both with sea views. We only met Anthi the owner twice but she was always very pleasant as were all the locals we met.

The apartments are opposite a small super market and within easy walking distance of the local bars and restaurants There is mini golf next door which is a fun activity in the evening and has a bar there too run by a lovely local family. The Jolly Roger down the road which is run by an ex pat couple and was good for live music.

Parking was what you could find in the local car parks and on the road by the small supermarket, but we always managed to get park, however this was considered low season. The road next to the apartments is not a road! It is actually steps and several cars seem to have made the mistake of driving down it.

The pool area was nice and clean, with sunbeds and parasols. The pool was small but not to small if all you want is a quick dip to cool down. The views by the pool of the harbour and the sea are lovely. If I ever plan to go back to Crete I would definitely consider staying here again.

Accommodation was excellent for our 4 night stay. Very clean & probably one of the best bathrooms I've been in in Greece (& I've been in quite a few in my lifetime) not large but very clean with a good flushing loo & good shower. Close to tavernas & bakery. The locals were all very friendly.

First class accommodation in an ideal location.

We had a fantastic stay here in late April. The quality of the accommodation is first class and the location is ideal with all the local amenities right on your doorstep. Anthi the owner is really friendly and helpful and as we had a later return flight was kind enough to let us stay on the apartment well beyond the normal check out time. The accommodation is situated right in the heart of Sisi, a small, friendly, quiet village with an idylic harbour and plenty of excellent bars and tavernas. The accommodation is on the sea-front with a pool overlooking the sea, there is a small supermarket, mini-golf/bar, bicycle and car hire all virtually next door to the apartments and the harbour and sea-front bars and tavernas are all within just a couple of minutes stroll away. There are also a place round the corner where you can arrange excursions (we really enjoyed the trip to Spinalonga and Ag. Nikolai). We would particularly recommended the sunset bar (next door) and harbour side tavernas Apostolos and Thalassinos and would thoroughly recommend a stay in Porto Sisi.

Perfect location, excellent choice

We stayed at Porto Sisi Hotel Apartments for 8 days: the complex is perfectly located in the lovely village of Sisi, on the sea front, 2 minuted walk to lovely bars and tavernas and to a very well protected beach.
The apartment had all we needed, recently renovated with great taste. It was also cleaned even more often than we expected.
The owner Anthi is lovely, always available to give useful information.
We cannot wait to go back there and will recommend it to everyone for sure.

Perfect vacation.

Everything was perfect and just as reviewed & pictures. Our room was spotless, appointed exactly as described and just right for two.
Hostess Anthi was very helpful & unobtrusive unless needed, then she was available as she lives in site.
Best spot for sea view & sunsets, moments from lots of tavernas & coffe bars. Swim in the sea or the perfect pool. Excellent grocery across the street, brilliant Anatoli Taverna beside it where we ate many nights.
Cretan living at its best; will definitely return once we save up for another trip!

Nice village location next to the sea.

Situated a few minutes walk from the centre of Sisi and its pretty little harbour, this was an excellent base from which to explore the east end and centre of Crete. Whilst meals can be prepared in the apartment, with such a large choice of very reasonably priced bars and restaurants so near at hand, many either on the edge of the sea or harbour, eating out was a simple choice. For other meals there is a supermarket opposite the hotel entrance a minute or so from most of the apartments, so provisions could be bought as needed on a daily basis. Sisi is easy to access from the New Road that runs from Hiraklion to Agios Nikolaos - about 40 minutes drive from Hiraklion airport. Parking in Sisi is limited in the village but we always found a place, and there is also a large newly tarmaced (during our stay) car park about 100 metres from the hotel - the hotel has no parking. We will definately be thinking of going back.

Nice apartment/hotel near the beach and town

Nice and clean apartment in a small well designed complex. Just a quick walk to all the local harbour/seafront shops and restaurants and a couple of lovely beaches nearby too. Easy and stress free living giving you lots of choices to just stay local or use it as a base camp and explore the island from here. The local restaurants are all about fresh local food and the atmosphere is friendly and caring. Great place to have a relaxing holiday fully recommended!

The apartment we had no 11 was really nice and clean all been updated the best bathroom i have had in greece , The owner anthi was nice but had quite a few rules felt sometimes as if i was at school , we only had one key / card for electric in apartment which we were told we could not separate but this was a problem as i get up early and if i went out there was no aircon or electric for light in bathroom so this was a real problem also there are 14 apartments and only 10 sunbeds as we were a famliy of 5 and have teenage children that wanted a sunbed i was asked for the children to sit on the walls this was not acceptable as i had paid for them and they should not have to sit or lay on the concrete wall , other than this it was a great holiday location is excellant.

Great family hotel in quiet little fishing port

Great appartments in a great location in a quieter Crete resort than nearby Mallia. Anthi, the proprietor, is very friendly and helpful with excursion suggestions and places to eat. Would recommend a car as Sisi is quite small and you may want to wander out to the Plateau (in the mountains) or nearby Agios Nicolaos. During the season there are several car rental places in the village and also travel agents arranging excursions.

Delightful location by the sea

These apartments are delightful. They are clean and quiet and close to both the sea and the small town. The style is tradiitonal Greek, the owner is charming and helpful and we could not have asked for more. We intend to come back as soon as we can.

It is a one bedroom apartment with only one air condition in the bedroom. No air condition in the living area. No breakfast. One old T.V in the bedroom and again non in the living area. The shower is 2 by 2 and very annoying. The place is old and not well taken care of.I will not recommend it to a family.

Fantastic and relaxing Getaway

I could not have asked for anything better. The Cretan sea surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea was breath-taking. The beaches were amazingly clean. Was quite impressed by the men working all day long in keeping the beaches clean.
The location was excellent. The supermarket was right across from the Resort and the gift shops were quite closeby too. The facilities at the Resort were excellent so that I did not have to go out to eat. I was able to make my own meals. After a refreshing shower in the morning I left the Resort with a backpack and stayed out on the beach all day long and thoroughly enjoyed the serenity and the peace of the place.

Bon emplacement dans le centre - belle vue sur la mer depuis la piscine (mais des rochers donc pas de plage pour se baigner) - appartement côté jardin sombre et difficile à aérer car peu traversant et clim uniquement dans la chambre du fond.
