There was an excessive amount of cockroaches. Usually one or two can be possible. I counted over 20. That just shows the management is pure lazy. The doors need painting and weather strips at the bottom. I would not recommend this for the 2025 holiday season.

So many Roaches!!! I was so freaked out that I had my husband take all of our stuff back out to the car which made me just as nervous due to the amount of shady people hanging out in the parking lot. There were people just walking around looking into cars. All night long there were people revving their motors outside, slamming doors, yelling. I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone

The desk personnel was kind and accommodating. Sheets were clean but room was musty. There was mold in the ceiling above the shower. Paint peeling in a number of places. Refrigerator/freezer needed defrosting. Could hear the next door neighbor's TV. Could smell cigarette/marijuana from all around the building.

Inside room nice and clean with modern floor, furniture, and other things. Otherwise room is worn but comfortable including good AC. Outside noisy with people in parking lot. The outside of property is not in good condition. It needs work. Fortunately inside the room was good. The fire alarm (just outside of my room) being pulled and going off with the fire department showing up in later evening wasn’t nice. Apparently no fire.

The check manager was rude by saying that I should have not booked through Travelocity and instead should have just come in to get a better price. The sheets and bedspread were not clean and I was concerned about bedbug issues. So I lost all of my $70 for the stay because it was prepaid and I left the motel. I do not recommend this location.

The room was questionable,dirty. light bulbs missing, no battery in the smoke detector, shower not nice, supposed to have a couch or chair and table. Not there. No tissues, no hair dryer, no coffee pot, we were exhausted and just wanted to rest. Went to manager who really didn't care. Gave me a box of tissues and told me not to worry about the smoke detector. The other guest were extremely loud all night, no concideration for other guests. I will never stay here again. Would not reccomend anyone stay here.

The desk clerk disappeared for hours in the afternoon with no replacement. We got there early and called to see if we could check in a little early. Even the 800# for HOTELS couldn’t get in touch with any one.

Room was ok but AC did not work at all and it was 100+ degrees during the day an 90 degrees at night. Asked to switch rooms after reporting AC didnt work we were told we couldn’t get another room and was offered a fan and told maintenance would come. No one ever showed up so we ended up checking out a full 18 hours early after paying for a 2 day stay and not being offered any kind of refund. Will never be staying here again.

Thats if you can even find a staff member looked around for 20 minutes just for someone to check me in and then proceeds to yell obscenities to me multiple times . Non smoking room reeked of cigarettes. There was a dirty towel on the bathroom floor! The room floor was dirty with drips and soiled spots. Walking on the floor turned my socks brown. There was mildew in the shower and a rusty toilet paper holder.

First impression: Homeless people outside the front door harassing people for money. Filthy, run down lobby with shabby furniture. I had to wait 25 minutes to check in because there was no one present at the front desk. Worst property I ever visited, decided not to stay there. Cockroaches were crawling around, and the owner is very disrespectful and likes to yell at people. My daughter got blood on the sheets and he told me Ihad to leave after day one. Yet I had paid for two. He also refused to give me a refund for the second day. I will never stay at a Red Roof Inn because of his lack of understanding and his yelling at me when I showed upat my room that he deactivated my key too.

Didn't like anything about my stay here! Old way outdated mattress made for a terrible sleep. Not to mention the mattress had remaining of bed bugs all over the mattress. The room smelled horribly like marijuana. My 8 year old granddaughter was gagging it was so intense. I was told that the room could not be changed. The police were in the parking lot with an intoxicated guest when we arrived.

Decent motel at appropriate price point. Room was clean on arrival and well tended after the first night. Everything worked. Desk clerk always available and helpful. Not too noisy. Nothing fancy, but price reflects that. Location is very handy for getting to restaurants, 95, etc.

It's an old motel that hasn't been upkept very well. My room had items that should be repaired, i.e., toilet paper holder not securely attached to wall; outside door did not tightly close. Easy check in. Tried to get a receipt - told to write down my email and one would be emailed by 10:30 that morning - it's the next day now and I still haven't received a receipt. I wrote very clearly.

Check in was OK, the Front Desk clerk helped every one simultaneously and made me wait. The room looked \"surface\" clean, however when we spilled a cup of water and went to clean it up, the room itself was filthy. There was hair leftover on the floor in the bathroom, it was completely dirty and disgusting.

Worst hotel stay in the history of hotel stays place is run by a wannabe Mafia boss who charges extra for nonsmoking rooms and early checkins. Likes to scream, call the police and fire department. He also runs the Knights Inn next door. Beware!

Wasn’t expecting much, but it was all that was available during snow storm that knocked all of our power out. It served the purpose but they doubled the normal rate (which is supposed to be illegal during a state of emergency) and then tried to kick my teen out while she was sleeping while I was at work after I had already paid them for another night. She kept telling them I had paid for another night and they kept saying I had not. She finally just locked the deadbolt and latch and ignored them. When I called and confronted them on it, they lied and said they hadn’t tried to kick her out, and only asked her if we were staying another night. He knew we were, I had told him at 8:30 am when I paid him again, and told him my teen was sleeping so we didn’t need maid service. The next day, the room next door told me she heard them screaming at my teen, pounding in the door, and yelling she had to get out because we hadn’t paid. It was the SAME guy I had paid 4 hours earlier. That was a final straw for us and we left for a nicer hotel at half the price this guy charged me. I am not so stuck up that I need a beautiful hotel, but here I was paying for a beautiful hotel ($147 a night) and got a crappy room with attitude towards my family.

When we got there the front desk told us that everything was fine at that moment, but we may lose electricity and/or hot water. He also said the parking lot would not be plowed before leaving the next day. I appreciated his honesty and refund offer. However there were no places with availability as this was during the time when the storm shut down 95 in Virginia for 50 miles. So, with that we stayed. We walked to the 7-11 across the street and used the large fridge and microwave and had dinner. Overall, it’s not my first choice of a hotel but it was a whole lot better than sleeping in my car without heat stuck on 95.
