Wir waren leider sehr enttäuscht von unserem Aufenthalt. Das Zimmer befand sich im Keller, die Fenster ließen sich nicht öffnen, und bei Beanstandungen war kein Techniker im Haus verfügbar. Zudem standen keine Parkplätze zur Verfügung, was für ein Hotel dieser Preisklasse überraschend ist. Das Bett war mit 140 cm extrem klein für ein Doppelzimmer und insgesamt stimmte das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis absolut nicht.
Für uns leider keine Empfehlung.

Great week at Lake Constance

Lake Constance is a wonderful area for vacations. The Plaza Hotel in Friedrichshafen is located a bit outside of downtown. Its a hotel with breakfast only. No restaurants nearby. Parking was a bit of a challenge at times, more cars than spaces. Breakfast buffet was excellent every day. The service was pleasant/friendly.

The rating and cost are way too high. It’s clean and otherwise nice but the front staff is rude. I asked THREE times for a room cleaning over my 3 night stay and it wasn’t done. Even left door tag requesting clean which staff removed and still didn’t clean. Would never staff here again.

I thoroughly enjoyed the view from my balcony. Though, I did find the step up/step down from the room a little unsafe. I think the breakfast buffet could have had better choices, but what I did eat was good. Most of the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Does not actually have A/C - avoid May-Sep

This hotel is a scam for the summer months. They say they have air conditioning but they absolutely do not. We visited in May when outside temperatures were around 30 C and then inside temperature was 28 C (!). It was unbearable, but, having read the reviews, apparently, the hotel is just pretending to have A/C and actually hasn't for years.

They moved us to another hotel free of charge, which I appreciate, but the lie itself is just too much. We got to our room around 9pm, were exhausted, and just wanted to sleep, but we still had to walk the 30 minutes, with all of our bags, to the other hotel they were moving us to.

To make everything worse though, Hotels.com, of which I've been a member for almost 12 years, did absolutely nothing to resolve this. Not a thing. After waiting on hold for 45 minutes and speaking with two separate people, I was just told over and over how this wasn't Hotels.com's \"responsibility\". But, the fact of the matter is Hotels.com is clearly not vetting their hotels whatsoever, becaus we specifically filtered for hotels with A/C, which caused this one to come up - but, if Hotels.com bothered to listen to their own members, they would have realized years ago that this hotel has no right to list A/C as an ameninty.

The only saving grace of this situation was the kind young man at the front desk, whom I do not fault for the failings of the hotel at which he works. The hotel itself and Hotels.com however, behaved atrociously and absolutely let me down.

We stayed only one day. The check-in was easy and the receptionist very helpful. The room clean and nice. However when we got back to sleep we realized that the air-condition was not working. We tried multiple times and different combinations but there was no cold air. This made our night pretty miserable

Great spot and convenient location for exploring Friedrichshafen by foot, bike or public transit! Also convenient base for traveling to Lindau and other towns near the Bodensee. The hotel room was the perfect size and appeared to be well-maintained. Would definitely stay again.

Overall the stay was pleasant, but there were a few disappointments. When the neighbours would flush the toilet the water would come up in our shower. There was no breakfast, which may have been due to Covid-19, but was still a shame.

Very noisy on street side, a little smelly

There is very heavy street traffic on that side of the hotel. Hard to sleep - of course we always have the window open so if you don't need that, it probably wouldn't be so bad. Mold in one corner of the ceiling. The staff person who gave us our key was very grumpy but the staff person there when we left was perfectly lovely. The bed is comfy but smells like old people. The bed had a couple of hairs on the sheets. And there were a lot of old people there when we stayed. Bathroom was clean, elevator works well, there is a restaurant on site that we did not try. It is not a close walk to the Bodensee but you can make it there in half hour by foot. And seeing the Bodensee is a must.

Hotel is clean and well maintained. Internet speed not great and some rooms quite small. Good air con. A long walk into town (20 minutes or so ) but there is a small station nearby as long as you time it right for the trains that only run hourly. Reception staff were great helping us to organise late night transport at short notice.

My husband and I were on a motorbike tour and, as we spent most of every day in full motorbike clothing, it was essential to us to have a hotel which offered air condition throughout the hotel. Also, as we run our own business, we needed access to wifi to keep in touch with our employees. Sadly this hotel fell down on both counts. We realised this as soon as we walked in to the reception area on arrival. You could have fried an egg on the reception desk. Our room was no better. As my husband is a 40 year time served HVAC Engineer, he quickly realised that the AC was of insufficient size for the room. While it blew out a little cold air, it was so inefficient that it was like being in a sauna. In order to get to sleep at night, we had to wipe ourselves down with a wet towel and let the water evaporate. I opened the window - BIG mistake ! A swam or gnats flew in and as I am very susceptible to gnat bites, my husband spend 10 minutes flailing a towel around the room to kill them all. The shower, while good pressure, had a wrap around shower curtain which attached itself to you like a magnet as soon as you started showering. Not great at all. The complimentary wifi ? Non existent. I receive the wifi codes from reception but I could not get them to work on either my Ipad, my husband's Ipad, or either of our mobile phones. There appeared to be two wifi's for the hotel, but one was extremely poor and, as I said, neither got you as far as the password so pretty useless

Dieses Hotel ist die happigen Preise nicht wert. Ein in die Jahre gekommenes Haus, das jemand mit minimalem Aufwand auf annehmbar getrimmt hat - mehr aber auch nicht.
Das Zimmer wirkt runtergerockt. Die alte Klimaanlage ist wirkungslos, Bettgestell wie auch das Polster am Kopfende sind in einem jämmerlichen bis abstoßenden Zustand. Das Bad erinnert an ein Krankenhauszimmer; hier wurden einfache folierte MDF-Paneele an die Decke gedübelt, ohne sich die Mühe zu machen, die Schrauben zu verbergen. Die Wanne hat eine Duschvorhang statt einer Glasscheibe, die Silikonfuge ist schimmelig. Zahnputzbecher und ein Glas im Zimmer waren ekelhaft verdreckt – eigene mitbringen! Die Balkontür ist defekt und kippt einem entgegen, wenn man sie zu öffnen versucht. Der TV hängt an zwei ins Holz gedrehten Schraubhaken – gefährlich! Das Personal an der Rezeption ist bemüht; da es sich aber offensichtlich um Azubis handelt, bleibt es auch dabei. Bringen Sie Zeit mit beim Checkin! Bei einer extremen nächtlichen Ruhestörung war niemand zu erreichen, auch nicht unter der Notrufnummer (Rezeption ist nachts unbesetzt). Was hier bei einem Brand los wäre, mag man sich nicht vorstellen. Das Frühstück ist untere Mitteklasse (ich habe 60+ Hotelnächte/Jahr Erfahrung), die Mitarbeiterin eher unprofessionell. Uns fehlte hier komplett die Gastfreundschaft; ich habe mich sehr lange nicht mehr so wenig willkommen gefühlt in einem Hotel. Pluspunkte: Gute ÖPNV-Anbindung an die Promenade und die (feste) Matratze.

The room was really hot (not possible to adjust the temperature). I slept badly. The window/door was completely broken and partially open. The kettle didn't work, so I couldn't make coffee in the room at all. Among other things, the smoke alarm was taped up. The breakfast was quite basic and I was still hungry. Some of the fruit was already spoiled. Actually the worst hotel I've ever been to, although I don't visit 4-star hotels much, but cheaper ones.

Mussten das Zimmer wechseln, da unser erstes Zimmer unerträglich warm war und die Heizkörper waren warm obwohl diese aus waren. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sie gab uns in kurzer Zeit ein alternatives Zimmer.
Was das Frühstück betrifft weis ich nicht ob das Hotel personell unterbesetzt war, denn man musste sie immer wieder darauf aufmerksam machen wenn etwas leer war.
TIPP: Zimmer 425 ist der Hammer, es hat einen traumhaften Blick auf den See und ist gigantisch groß!

Wir hatten insgesamt einen schönen Aufenthalt im Hotel Föhr Plaza in Friedrichshafen. Besonders positiv war der unkomplizierte und sehr freundliche Check-in. Gerade über die Feiertage haben wir es sehr geschätzt, dass uns sogar ein kostenloser Parkplatz in der Nähe empfohlen wurde.

Das Zimmer war sauber, das Bett bequem und die Aussicht wirklich wunderschön. Auch unser Hund hat sich sehr wohlgefühlt — über die Snacks und das kleine Bettchen haben wir uns sehr gefreut.

Ein kleiner Minuspunkt war, dass der TV nicht funktioniert hat. Normalerweise würde uns das nicht weiter stören, aber situationsbedingt waren wir abends meist schon früher im Zimmer, weshalb ein kurzer Hinweis darauf, dass es eine Störung beim Anbieter gibt, hilfreich gewesen wäre. Auch die telefonische Erreichbarkeit vor der Anreise war eher schwierig. Per Mail war die Kommunikation hingegen super.

Insgesamt ein angenehmer Aufenthalt mit vielen schönen Seiten und nur kleineren Kritikpunkten.

Wir kamen am1. Tag erst um 9 Uhr zum Frühstück (bis 10 Uhr). Es gab kein frisches Brot mehr, die Eier waren kalt, auch wurde nichts mehr nachgefüllt. Wir haben nochmal um 8 Uhr gefrühstückt, da war es ok. Die Zimmer werden generell nicht gereinigt, wenn man 5 Tage dort wohnt?

Das Föhr wird beworben und die Zimmer können gebucht und bezahlt werden, aber das Hotel ist gar nicht offen sondern in Renovation. Schliesslich bin ich in einem anderen Hotel untergebracht worden. Von Seesicht war trotz Buchung, Bezahlung und telefonischer Nachfrage nichts zu sehen. Eigentlich grenzt das an Betrug.

Das gebuchte Hotel war geschlossen und es standen da 3 verschiedeneTelefonnummern, als Kontakt. Bei 2 Nummern meldete sich niemand bei der 3. Nummer meldete sich erst ein Anrufbeantworter, dann eine Dame die sagte ich verbinde sie und dann meldete sich niemand mehr. So gingen 30.min bei 2 Grad und Nieselregen vorbei ohne das ich etwas in Erfahrung bringen konnte. Erst bei einem weiteren Anruf sagte mir eine weitere Dame das ich zu einem anderen Hotel kommen solle. Dort angekommen, kein Wort des Bedauerns. Nicht sehr gastfreundlich.

Quite an expensive alternative given the overall experience. Challenging to interact with the personnel who seemed to be mostly uninterested.

Absolutely no privacy in the bathroom; big window facing the parking lot/street. Smelled like old sweat in the bathroom.

Parking fee is an absolute robbery on the backside, despite free parking 2 blocks away.

I forgot my Sony camera battery charger and tried to contact them multiple times, but they ignored me.

Am Anfang haben wir leider nicht das gebuchte Zimmer bekommen . Wir haben sogar vorher angegeben das wir einen Jahrestag haben . Trotz desen obwohl wir einen Mobil Key bekommen haben für das Zimmer hat jemand anders das Zimmer vorher bekommen was ärgerlich war .Die hätten auch gesagt das sie Jahrestag haben obwohl das eine Frechheit war von den Gästen die das bestimmt so angegeben haben obwohl das bestimmt nicht gestimmt hat. Wir haben danach einen Zimmer mit gleicher Austattung trotzdem bekommen was für uns dann egal war. Das Parken ist mit einem Gebühr von 17€ pro Tag sehr hoch angemesesen.Ansonsten war das Frühstück gut. Das Aufenthalt war angenehm. Das Seeblick aus dem 4. Stock war ok. Sauberkeit war auch ok.

Das Comfortzimmer war leider nicht besonders groß und Schrankmöglichkeit für Zwei - 🤔
Die Dusche ließ zu wünschen übrig und auf dem Balkon kein Licht, keine Badetuch-Aufhängemöglichkeit.
Hätte gerne Positiveres geschrieben. Die Krone sind 17 € pro Nacht für einen Parkplatz, den man ggf. nicht nutzen kann, weil besetzt; ist nicht dem Gast sein Problem.
Wobei die meisten vom Personal versucht haben, das wett zu machen.

Die Zimmer waren gut, aber das Badezimmer und die Toilette waren schon sehr alt. Auch der Frühstücksraum wirkte veraltet und die Stühle waren schmutzig. Das Frühstück selbst war jedoch gut.
Etwas seltsam war, dass für das Parken 17 € pro Nacht berechnet wurde, obwohl der Parkplatz leer war. Das fanden wir überhaupt nicht gut.

Angeblich keine freien Parkplätze.....aber nachts steht der Kurzzeitparkplatz komplett mit Autos voll.
Teppich auf den Gängen uralt und versifft.Glastüre hört sich beim schließen nach einer Bohrmaschine an.

Leider gibt es nur den Meerblick in den oberen Etagen, schade dass das in der Zimmerbuchung nicht berücksichtigt wird. Die Parkplatzsituation ist nicht optimal, da es nur beschränkt Parkplätze zum reservieren gibt und rund um das Hotel nur sehr schwierig was an Parkplätzen zu finden ist.

Das Zimmer 320 mit Balkonblick war eine einzige Zumutung. Das Zimmer selbst koplett verstaubt. Dort wurde sicher seit Monaten nicht mehr richtig gereinigt. Der Balkon voller Hundehaare. Das Bad mit Schimmel an den Silikonfugen nur so übersät. Waschbecken geplatzt.
Der Außenrolle elektrisch geht nicht. Alles rausgebrochen an den Führungsrollen. Dafür voller Strom auf einer herunterhängenden 230V Leitung dort drauf.

Diese Hotel ist ein absoluter Horror gewesen. Nie mehr wieder.

Das zimmer war sauber,ausser auf dem Sessel,der da stand waren noch viele Haare zu finden.Der Parkplatz ist sehr eng und für knapp 18 Euro die nacht,ein sehr teurer Parklatz. Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen,vier Sterne sind das keine mehr, einer vielleicht. Die Rezeption sah schon sehr heruntergekommenen aus,spinnweben hingen von der Decke. Um mal eine nacht zu übernachten ist es ok,für länger aber nicht wirklich.

Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen. Die Zimmer waren renoviert, aber das Bad...Naja...
Wir hatten ein Zimmer Straße.
Trotz geschlossem Fenster ab den frühen Morgen sehr laut.

Schon beim Check in gab es Probleme zwecks des Parkplatzes, welcher auf der Rückseite des Hotels im begrenzten Maß vorhanden ist. Um auf den Parkplatz zu gelangen, muss zunächst der Parkplatz bezahlt werden, auch wenn man dafür noch keine Quittung erhält.. Eine Quittung erhält man erst auf Nachfrage beim auschecken. Es ist nicht besonders modern, viele Einrichtungsgegenstände sind schon in die Jahre gekommen, und insgesamt wirkt der Lobby und Essens sehr altbacken. Gerade im Frühstücksbereich sieht man viele Wasserschäden, die Markise hat ihre besten Tage schon hinter sich, beim Frühstück fehlen solche Sachen wie Orangensaft, Nutella… Ansonsten ist das Frühstück ausreichend.
Die Zimmer sind klein und zweckmäßig eingerichtet, in unserem Zimmer fehlte der Safe, und im Bad lagen schwarze, lange Haare. Als besonders ruhig konnten wir das Hotel auch nicht erleben.

It was a very good hotel with this price, rewe is in vicinity and you can buy everything you need.
The only thing I did not like was some unreal explanations about room, based on room description it was supposed to have a partial view to bodensee, but was not met, and bathroom facilities was not complete.

Tassen für Kaffee im Zimmer waren schmierig. Die Station für Kaffee im Zimmer war komplett eingestaubt.
Im Zimmer war ein schlechter Duft, besonders im Bad.
Hotel schon etwas älter.
Obwohl im Vorfeld wegen Parkmöglichkeiten telefoniert würde, war kein Parkplatz frei. Wir mussten einige Meter weiter auf einem Parkplatz parken. Dies war jedoch nur abends möglich.
Hotel sehr weit vom Zentrum entfernt.

Also die 4 Sterne hatte dieses Hotel vielleicht vor 10Jahren, mittlerweile sind es unsrer Ansicht nach nur noch 2 Sterne. Sehr abgewohnt, das Wasser kam braun aus der Dusche, sauber war es, Personal war freundlich. Die Parkschranke funktionierte nicht, dafür 17€ /Tag ist viel zuviel!
Frühstück war okay, aber wie gesagt auf keinen Fall 4Sterne!

Kunne have været godt, men ...

Soveværelset var fint, fint med aircondition og køleskab.

Badeværelset trængte til en kærlig hånd. Der var ingen udsugning og man kunne ikke åbne vinduet.

Personalet var flinke, men indtjekning og parkering var kaotisk.

Der er lidt langt til selve byen, og der er ikke andet end REWE i nærheden. Den dag (tirsdag) vi ankom havde hotellets resturant lukket.

Morgenmaden var god.

Das Personal im Frühstücksraum war super freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Nur beim CheckIn wurde uns nichts gesagt was wir mit dem Preis für die Kurtaxe machen können,
Abends wurde nichts angeboten im Hotel, für den Parkplatz wurde 17€ pro Tag gefordert, aber mit nur begrenzte Kapazität.

Insgesamt sehr schöner Aufenthalt im Hotel Föhr, zuvorkommender Service, angemessene Ausstattung, tolles Frühtück, kostenloses Angebot für die Nutzung des ÖPNV, Friedrichshafen ist in jedem Fall eine Reise wert.

Verbesserungsmöglichkeit: Personal beim Check-in habe ich als fast unfreundlich empfunden, Halbsätze in Befehlsform hatte ich nicht erwartet.

Lobenswert: sauberes Zimmer, reichhaltiges Buffet. freundliches Personal beim Check-out.

Zimmer in Ordnung, Bad nicht gut, nicht sauber. Duschvorhang dreckig und Dusche zu klein. Zimmer wurde einmal nicht gereinigt. Frühstück war katastrophal. Es fehlten immer wieder Grundnahrungsmittel wie Butter, Semmeln, Joghurt etc. Harte alte Brezen.Tische wurden nicht abgeräumt. Unfreundliches Personal. Nur Frau Zia war nett. Stufen im Außenbereich waren locker und kaputt. Sehr gefährlich. Wenig Auskunft an der Rezeption. Nicht zu empfehlen.

Gegenüber ist ein REWE Einkaufsmarkt, aber sonst ist da nichts. Es ist in einem eng bebautem Wohngebiet. Die wenigen Parkplätze sind sehr eng. Parken muss im Voraus angemeldet werden.

Alles war soweit gut, nur aus der Lüftung hat es gestunken. Da kam der ganze Küchenduft raus, und es war nicht angenehm. Im Bad sollte das Becken erneuert werden, hatte einen Riss.

Der Blick auf den Bodensee aus der obersten Etage des Hotels bei schönstem Wetter war atemberaubend.
Das Frühstück war einfach, leider war man organisatorisch überfordert, sodass weite Bereiche des Buffets über lange Zeiträume schlichtweg leer waren...
