Convenient to railway station (no noise noticed during our stay). Right on the promenade. Bar was completely closed on a Monday, so no snacks or drinks other than a vending machine. For an otherwise lovely hotel this was a bit disappointing.

Excellent friendly staff that are polite and very helpful, any questions I had were answered quickly and comprehensively. For your information, for the local tourist hotel tax you are required to pay you are entitled to a BODO card which gives you free travel on most buses and trains over a huge area. The public transport system is excellent and the hotel is just a short walk from the main bus and train station. The self service breakfast gives you a good selection to start your day, there is a restaurant also on site but I didn’t use it. The bar was good with the barman able to knock up a multitude of cocktails,, from what I witnessed. My room was spacious, clean and comfortable and perfect for me. There was a small fridge also where you could store some food and drink. There is car parking available for a fee, I'd advise informing them when you book but it is a reasonable charge in my opinion. There are also garages that can be booked, I only became aware of this on arrival and seeing cycle tourists storing their bicycles in there. Right by the promenade for pleasant walks and easy access to numerous restaurants it is an ideal choice in my book. Would I stay again? Without doubt.

The stay was nice, older room that had a few quirky features. The location was great and staff was very friendly. Difficult to take a shower the way the shower head was facing, but it is an old building. The pillows were unusable, they were gigantic.

Our stay was short and sweet. Lovely hotel and accommodations for sure. The service was not as lovely. Unfortunately, the staff was not very friendly at the front desk, did not mention our included breakfast so we missed it completely, and the bartenders made us feel as if we were personally inconveniencing them. Otherwise, a very nice hotel.

I arrived early and I could keave my luggage so I could go to the Zeppelin museum. Staff were great, the room was really nice and the place has such a nice ambience. The breakfast was superb. What a nice stay.

Great hotel and well placed for the main central area and exploring the wider lake attractions.

Check in was strange and we were advised we could only book a parking space for part of our trip but they couldn't tell us where it would be till the next day?

Actually parking outside the hotel was fairly accessible and reasonably priced so this was not a big issue.

Hotel was quiet during our stay and rooms were comfortable and well appointed. We didn't have breakfast or use the restaurant but the food looked pretty good?

Would stay again if we were back in the region.

The Hotel is is in great location close to the train station and a short walking distance from lake Bodensee and a 10 minute walk to the City centre.
The hotel is very clean with good size rooms.
The bathroom sinks in the room we stayed in did not seal so you could not hold water in the sinks for washing ECT and the water pressure for the shower was poor. There was no extraction unit fitted in the bathroom/toilet.

Breakfast is not included in the price however you do have the option of paying for breakfast at the hotel.
There is a bar in the hotel but this was only open two out of the 10 nights we stayed.

With my luggage travelling by train I needed a place nearby that had good access to the lake. The location of Hotel Buchhorner is great for that: 5 min. by foot from train station and across the street from the lakeside with restaurants and walkways, green spaces and the lake. Yet the hotel is an updated older building with character and a cozy interior, very clean rooms and common areas, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating (when I arrived way early for check-in, they watched my luggage for a couple of hours while I walked into town, and then got a room ready early for me). Nice stay.

Pleasant weekend stay

Hotel was centrally located for all the things we wanted to do at Lake Constance. The room had comfortable beds and was very clean. The bathroom (and especially the shower) was a little on the small side. Had an excellent on site restaurant (not something you necessarily expect). Overall, a really nice experience.

Internet connection was really really bad. I asked to check the connection to the reception. But, never happened. I had to turn on hot spot from my cell phone to work with laptop. I should have requested room change. My colleague's room was no problem. My Room number was 230. But, the room itself was very clean and comfortable.

We were in a Junior Suite, with a mezzanine type floor (teenagers loved this bit away from us 😂) a sofa area, fridge and upstairs had an outside seating area and you could see the lake. Excellent value, more than I can say for the car park next door which cost us 34euros for less than 24 hours 😕 - we paid extra for breakfast which was ok not fantastic but well worth the price and the coffee was good. Overall we loved it! Traditional downstairs but our bedroom was modern, oh and the beds were really comfy. It’s also over the road from the lake, great location

Location near the train station and in the center of the city was excellent. Room was generally nice. Breakfast buffet was good. On the down size, there were three steps leading into the room, which were unexpected the first time I stepped into the room. There was only one light switch, right near the door, so that when I turned off the light to go to bed, I had to find my way to the bed in the dark.

Excellent experience. Hotel staff is very friendly and willing to help. Family room was very large. Toilette and showe were separate rooms but both had sinks. Doors to each were white glass which was not a problem for us. This really is the best location. Highly recommend it!!!!

Reasonable hotel, but certainly not four star by usual standards. Clean and tidy room, but simple things missing, e.g. no shower gel or shampoo, no contents in the mini-bar fridge.

The restaurant is quite good, but stops serving at 10 and stops taking orders some time before that. The bar wasn't well run and had shortages or was missing various simple drinks and mixers from the menu.

The hotel should stop cheating about the availability of \"some fitness equipment\" as it has been advertising on its WEB site for a couple of year already, when in fact THERE IS ONLY ONE SINGLE FITNESS MACHINE. Everything else was fine.

Great welcome at reception. Even though the room was not set up for 3 people as booked, I suspect this was more to do with Expedia's ineffective communication with the hotel than anything else. Room was large, had a fridge, comfortable beds & large bathroom.

Sehr veraltet. Braunes wasser aus der Leitung. Wintiges fenster im riesigen Zimmer. Kein Abzug im Bad. Begehbares Vordach direkt vor dem Fenster dadurch konnte man das Fenster in der Nacht nicht offen lassen. Das Zimmer war total überhitzt, obwohl alle Heizungen aus waren. Vorauskasse beim Checkin! Wirklich nicht empfehlenswert

Frühstücksqualität war nicht ausreichend. Es wurden keine frischen Backwaren angeboten sondern Aufbackbrötchen - die zum Teil steinhart waren. Das Büffel war ständig leer und wurde nicht aufgefüllt. Der Wellnessbereich war nicht nutzbar und es wurde keine Entschädigung angeboten.

Haben zwei Zimmer nur Übernachtung ohne Frühstück gebucht.
Die Zimmer waren riesig - Hätten locker zu viert in eins gepasst :)
Alles tiptop sauber, Matratzen sehr bequem. Ein- und Ausschecken problemlos.
Aussicht auf den Hinterhof - hat uns aber nicht gestört da wir ja nur zum Schlafen da waren.
Entfernung zum Graf Zeppelin Haus fußläufig nur 5 min. also ideal wenn man - wie wir- dort auf einer Veranstaltung ist, und nicht mehr Auto fahren will.
Hatten das Auto in der Tiefgarage des GZH geparkt.
Würden jederzeit gerne wieder dieses Hotel buchen.

Insgesamt ist das Hotel sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Auch die Zimmer sahen auf den Bildern besser aus als in Wirklichkeit.
Wir waren schon etwas vor Check-in Zeit da, von anderen Hotels sind wir gewohnt, dass dann geschaut wird ob bereits ein Zimmer sauber ist. Hier wurde aber pauschal einfach auf die checkinzeit verwiesen.
Das Zimmer hatte einen sehr unangenehmen Geruch und war direkt neben dem Aufzug, was sehr zu hören war. Der Ausblick war alles andere als schön, auf ein Dach mit kaputten Möbeln und einen Hinterhof. Es war einfach keine Wohlfühlatmosphäre.
Der Whirlpool war kaputt und für Sauna hätte man bezahlen sollen.
Das Frühstück war grenzwertig, die Wassermelone war nicht mehr genießbar und auch sonst wenig uberzeugend (Fertig Aufbackbrötchen etc).
Würde das Hotel für diesen Preis nicht empfehlen!
Das einzige was positiv war, war dass das Personal meist sehr freundlich war

Das Hotel war gut erreichbar und nah zum Zentrum, als auch zum Bodensee.
Nächst war ziemlich laut. Frühstück war gutut großen Auswahl.
Das einzige was mich nicht komplett überzeugt hat war die Sauberkeit.

Wir würden nochmal dort übernachten.

Das Hotel an sich hat uns gut gefallen. Optisch sehr schön rustikal.
Modern und fortschrittlich, man kann mit dem Handy die Türen öffnen.
Leider war das Bad sehr klein und mit Duschvorhang der nur halb zu ging sodass das Bad total nass wurde.
Es wäre schöner wenn man mehr Geld in die Zimmer stecken würde, statt so moderne Sachen einzubauen die eigentlich gar nicht zum Stil passen.
Wir würden trotzdem immer wieder kommen.
Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und die Lage ist einfach super.

Sehr altes Hotel, Sauberkeit so lala, als Garagenstellplatz versteht man hier Einzelgaragen wo ein VW ID.4 kaum reinpasst. Fpr kleine Autos aber gut geeignet. Versprochener Rabatt für Garage wurde beim Check In nicht eingehalten.
Wir kommen nicht wieder.

Tysk effektivitet. Bare skønt. Tæt på promenaden og vi vsr der mens der var noget festivalagtigt. Masser af gode restauranter og spisesteder.
Udfordringer med at få ladet elbil i p-kælder ved station. Men det lykkedes. Meget dyr parkering. Husk at bestille i forvejen hos hotellet.

Usurpé à la réservation.... perdu somme de 29 euro

Convenable. Par contre, très déçu de la réservation qui a a été faite par Hotels.com. Payé 159.01 euros pour 1 chambre avec 1 grand lit. Sur la facture était indiqué prix de la chambre 149.45 et 10.46 taxes et frais et....frais obligatoires/taxes prélevés localement 5.00 Euros. Soit un total de 164.91 euros. Avec grande surprise, le lendemain ns avons demandé la facture et le prix de la chambre est de Euros 131.00. De plus, à notre arrivée, on nous a demandé de payer 2.50 par pers. soit 5.00 pour la city taxe. On a expliqué que cela avait déjà été payé mais il ns a été répondu que cela était impossible, la city taxe devant être prélevée à l'arrivée du client. De plus, ns avons appris que la réservation avait été faite par Expedia ?? alors que ns n'avons jamais réservé sur ce site mais sur internet sur PLAZA Hotel Buchhorner Hof. Donc, en pensant que c'était le site de l'hôtel. Bien entendu, rien ne ns a été remboursé. En résumé, une somme de 29 euros environ a été encaissée par ???? des gens malhonnêtes. Merci !
