Perfekter Kurzaufenthalt mit Top-Service

Ich war für eine Geschäftsreise einen Tag im Hotel und war rundum zufrieden. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und ordentlich, das Frühstück bot eine tolle und vielfältige Auswahl – mit aufmerksamem, freundlichem Personal. Auch der Service insgesamt war großartig. Die Lage ist sehr zentral, Restaurants sowie Geschäfte des täglichen Bedarfs und zum Shoppen sind bequem zu Fuß erreichbar.

Ein kleiner Verbesserungsvorschlag: Eine Gardine oder ein Rollladen am großen Fenster wäre nachts hilfreich, um den Raum besser abdunkeln zu können.

Ich komme bei meiner nächsten Geschäftsreise gerne wieder!

Very nice city

This hotel is well located but a bit difficult to access. We like the fact that we had a sofa in the room, this is not common in German hotels.
We can walk close to the lake, there are many restaurants around the hotel, including a bunch of ice cream places. It is a very nice city.

The hotel’s location was ideal as it’s within walking distance from the train station and the port. My single room was comfortable and the design was pretty efficient. Air conditioning was available if needed. The breakfast buffet offered a lot of options. The swimming pool was nice to have - conveniently located in the lower ground floor. They provided a nice wellness bag with sauna towels as well as a bathrobe if you need it. At the ground floor, free water and even hot water with tea were available. Apples and popcorn were also provided for free.

We stayed in a Premier plus room and found it light spacious and very quiet. The room was in excellent condition and was very clean. The only downside to the room was that it did not have an elevator on the floor that we were on but we didn't find this a problem. The breakfast is great and there is loads of choice and the breakfast room is big with lots of natural daylight. We found the staff very friendly and helpful. One of the main reasons we booked it was for the spa, which was very clean and had a great pool that was big enough for some short laps in. The location of the hotel is very central but private with reasonably priced parking on site. All in all a great stay.

Must stay in Friedrichshafen.

Great service, location and accommodations. Travelled with my family, which included younger children. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay! The room (for families) was spacious and sound proof. The hotel is in the center of town with lots of restaurants, cafes, shops, and a ferry station within walking distance. The hotel has a small parking lot, for a small fee; additionally, there some parking garages close by that are reasonably priced.

A great weekend place or longer stay

The hotel is in an excellent spot in Friedrichshafen. We had a beautiful room that was well appointed with lots of extras that American travelers are accustomed to: refrigerator, coffee maker, plenty of towels. The properties well maintained. The hotel felt secure.

Eine gelungene Hotelgestaltung, wenngleich etwas verwinkelt, aber doch sehr gemütlich und in unerwartet praktischer Lage inmitten von Friedrichshafen unweit fußläufig zur Uferpromenade. Feine Sauna.
(Leider konnten wir den ersehnten Saunagang nicht verwirklichen, da ein Hotelgast unmittelbar zuvor innerhalb der Saunakammer eine Zigarette (!) rauchen musste und die Asche auf der Holzliegefläche abwarf).

Do not recommend for anyone who is not German. Was treated poorly from moment of check in. Rude staff, changed our original room over looking the city to a room in a different building down an alley. Bugs all in the room, notified the staff of this and no resolution. Was unable to utilize the spa, was giving red robes when everyone else had white. Felt very uncomfortable and unsafe at this hotel and location. Received no compensation or room change after finding bugs in all parts of the hotel room including the bed. Brought this to the staff’s attention within minutes and was told to deal with it. Very poor customer service. And No direction on parking locations as well. Do not recommend

Comfortable stay when visiting the Messe and lake

Very good weekend stay during Ham Radio show at Friedrichshafen Messe. Friendly helpful staff and clean comfortable environment made the stay a pleasure. The breakfast selection is amazing! Also the hotel is a very short walk from the bus station that serves the Messe, so no taxi needed.

One item would have improved my stay: in room 113 (maybe others) the glass door to the bathroom is opposite the bed and the bathroom has quite a large window. This meant that the bed was flloded with light as soon as the sun rose - not the best for a good sleep! A blind, curtain or shutter across that bathroom window would eliminate this.

It is at the city centre and we had a pretty good steak at Tiffany’s for dinner near the hotel. The place is quiet at night. It was quite a comfortable stay with a spacious room. Parking was 9 euros/night. Lake Constance is just about 5 minute walk away. Highly recommended !

This served my purpose very well. Centrally located, receptionists spoke extremely good English, wonderful breakfast at no extra charge. Room and facilities were more than I required. Tea & coffee-making facilities would have been useful, but I believe it is German practice not to supply this.

Amazing. Super nice service with a smile and pretty sure they upgraded our room - great restaurant recommendations- it was our anniversary and they put a bottle of champagne in a bucket with champagne flutes... the room was casually upscale and welcoming...
As nice as the amenities were - it was the staff that really made it so nice. Highly recommend and hope to visit again.

Excellent hotel. I don't think there was an exercise room but was busy on a bit of a hectic trip and plenty of walking so was OK.

Positives:
Superb breakfast. I have been to break buffets with more selection but this was more than adequate. Besides, quality of the food was first class. Very nice.

Excellent rooms with quality furnishings and fixtures. Had glass wall between bed and bath. Main elevator was up a half flight of steps and elevator to pool did not work one night. Breakfast was excellent and location was extremely handy to Lake, ferries, museum and cafes.

This hotel is absolutely lovely. I stayed for a long weekend and couldn't have been happier. From the moment I arrived and was greeted with a warm smile to the moment I left, I was treated kindly. The folks at the Reception Desk always happily gave me excellent directions and advice. Housekeeping kept my room spotless. The breakfast buffet was so good, I had to make myself quit eating. Really a very pleasant stay at a very reasonable price. Perfect location in the Pedestrian Zone, practically at the waterfront and close to train stations. Zeppelin Museum is nearby. Hotel City Krone, September 2015

Very courteous and friendly and helpful reception and staff. Excellently located within 5 min walk of the harbour and many restaurants at which we ate. Very convenient also because we arrived by Ferry from Romanshorn, Switzerland.
Breakfast was plentiful and diverse. Our bedroom was up a flight of stairs from the living room. Bathroom curtain rail should be set 25cm away from the bath to avoid the curtain moving in when a hot shower is run.

Stale smell and mould

There was a stale smell in the room. When reported to staff they apologised and did nothing. I also reported mould growing in shower and on ceiling in bathroom. Show pictures to staff. Staff answered bathroom will be changed next year. Poor cleanliness and would not recommend the hotel again.

One night stay, headed to airport for 6 AM flight. All was great at hotel, until I went to check out at 4 AM. Nobody at the front desk. Nobody in the office, behind. Luckily, they had left tokens for the parking lot gate and I was able to depart. I will be looking for the invoice.

Nice hotel, great location.

Hotel SERVICE was great at reception and in bkfast room. Free Wifi in the room worked well. Bkfast buffet was ample, tasty. Hotel CONDITION was fine, but smelled like brand-new carpet was recently installed. Room CLEANLINESS was fine from room to bath. Room COMFORT was an issue in that #113 faces a courtyard where smokers gather. When opening a window to cool the room, privacy/pollution could become issues. [March visit, room's thermostat wasn't responsive.] A bit noisy - could easily hear other doors slam shut and people talking in the hallway. Flat pillows could fold into *fourths*, which was needed to provide support for a snorer. I also folded my comforter into fourths and used that as a second \"pillow\" for added height. [Didn't need comforter - see prior comment about room heat!] Large shower, didn't leak around the door as many do, good pressure, and temp control enabled for very hot water. Sink not suitable for soaking any items of clothing, as it's a trench-style basin without a visible drain. NEIGHBORHOOD is splendid -- shops, restaurants, outdoor cafes, bakeries, pharmacies, and sight-seeing options are all a few steps away. Easy walk from either F'hafen station (Hafen or Stadt). Zeppelin museum close by and 1/2 price after 4 (but only open until 5). Catamaran to Konstanz was 14 Euro RT (off-season) for a 45-min ride. Watch for pickpockets in Konstanz, a much more \"touristy\" city than F'hafen. Totally lovely walking trail (promenade) throughout F'hafen city center.

A good choice for a short stay.

A nice pleasant stay. I was only there for one night and I found it comfortable. The view out the back was ok as in there was some view and I could see some of the lake. Breakfast was good with various eggs and cakes and some lovely crossiants.
I slept well, albeit it is true the walls are a little thin.
The only thing I felt was missing were tea making facilities in the room but I do reallise its not common to have these in the European Continent.

The free wifi was nice and fast and allowed me to do my local research. I wouls stay again.

5 Nights in an Interesting Modern Style

The Staff was attentive and very responsive, particularly Sebastion. The breakfast was exceptional, the interior style was very interesting. BUT, don't stay on the second floor above the restaurant. The chairs there could use felt sliders to make a huge difference to the noise. This was a fine base to explore the region from.

Very clean, fantastic breakfast with superior service and it was within walking distance of enough to keep us busy for several days. Nice touch was the comfortable sitting area just outside the front door which let us enjoy evening cocktails while watching everyone walk by. Highly recommend.

Awkward experience

The hotel is in a great location. At first glance the hotel seemed great and we were excited to stay. Very modern and possible great views of the lake. We arrived right at check-in time hoping to get a room high up. Instead, we were put into a room in another building. They were apartments for people who want to stay longer and have a kitchen. They close of most of the apartment if you are only 1 or 2 persons and the only view was of a parking lot. The reason I am not giving this place a good review is because of how they treated us in regards to asking for a room that was past of the hotel. (mind that we checked in early and their excuse was that they were fully booked on a Wednesday). Eventually after arguing with them, they opened up the 'apartment' so the room didn't feel awkward. (otherwise it is very small). From this standpoint we had a bad experience and how it was handled makes me not recommend this place.

I stayed there for an amateur radio convention which is held every year in June in Friedrichshafen. It was the very first time for me to stay in the city although I was with this convention many times. I was very glad to moved to this hotel because of many reasons, such as a good access for sightseeings, nice surroundings, a nice bright room for free breakfast with good foods, and more. I talked with some people who were staying the hotel and all said that they would come back to this hotel for future conventions.

Cool hotel

We had a great stay at Hotel City Krone. Although it was one of the warmest day of the summer, and the hotel has no AC, our room stayed relatively cool and surprisingly comfotable. Its location is ideal. We would stay there again.
