Parents weekend. My flight landed very late in NYC, forcing me to arrive around 3 am. I waited at the front desk for almost two hours, watching the security monitor and Superman on the TV hung in the corner - only chair behind the desk - no one came. I called the only number displayed for the hotel, but it rang the front desk, so I left a voicemail. I slept in my car until 8 am, when I woke to people coming/going. I went in, and the morning desk person wasn't going to let me check in until 3 pm, even as I explained what happened, that I had a room reserved, she refused to believe that I was waiting overnight, and the desk person failed to show up (I reiterated, review your security tape.) She kept pointing to a turned-over manager's contact sign (I'd suggest making that sign permanently visible.) 45 minutes later, exasperated, she called the manager, whom I could overhear, not believing my statement that the front desk was unattended, but allowed me to check in then. The room that the morning desk person gave me (115) didn't have cable or an antenna, so there was no television. I just wanted to sleep. The Saturday evening clerk was the most helpful, exchanging my nonfunctional key, and was shocked by what had happened. If there had been another room somewhere else, I'd have taken it. Admittedly, this was a unique situation, but to completely dismiss a guest who had flown 1,000 miles, rented a car, paid for their room, and then slept in their rental car... that's bad business.

Whole place was dated. Not even an attimatic door to enter. There were stains all over the carpets even the matting on wall art had water marks on it. One bed the mattress was totally shot in our room. Common area unswept & grosss. Front desk not attended at checkout with obnoxious car racing on the tv- loud. Coffee and sugar ran out empty canisters. Dirty. Sign by coffee warned of unsafe levels of undesirable contaminates in the water above the dirty microwave. So probably a blessing coffee ran out.

Absolute trash, we got there at 3 PM to check in and the hotel was completely empty. There was no one at the front desk, there was a note saying call A particular person (I won't give their name Jat this number, we called four times and no one answered and then she did answer and said your room key is behind the desk and advised us to go behind the front desk and grab our own room key, and then I came back in later 8 pm because we were at an event in the same parking lot and the person who was now behind the front desk was completely asleep, to the point where I was speaking loudly to see if he would wake up and he did not.

A very old building in need of serious updating. Room smelled damp and musty. Bed was lumpy and extremely soft. Bedding had small holes. One of the windows in my room was cracked. Hotel was more than 15 minutes from the nearest town. The employees were nice and helpful though. But I seriously doubt I’ll stay here again.

Worst part is it is not ADA compliant!!! I have walking issues. There was no way I could carry my bag up the stairs and walk to the end of the hall on the 2nd floor. I asked for a room on 1st floor and she said they were sold out. I asked for a room closer to stairs on 2nd floor. Got the same answer. Fortunately a man checking in right after me brought my bag upstairs. Very inconvenient for people who use canes. Never again will I stay there and will warn anyone staying in Hopewell, do not go to the Inn at Arbor Ridge!!!

Do not stay here! I was in 2 rooms since the tv did not work in the first room they put me in. Both rooms were extremely dilapidated- water stains and mold on the ceilings, chipping and peeling paint, rust everywhere, filthy carpets that I was afraid to walk on with bare feet, a hole in the wall of the shower that was covered with tape, etc. I couldn’t believe how bad it was considering how much the room cost. I thought all the rooms looked like this but as I was checking out housekeeping was cleaning rooms with the doors open and I looked in about 6 other rooms, every other room I saw was freshly renovated. I asked about getting a refund since my room was disgusting but the hotel rejected my request. I would not recommend this hotel but if you do decide to book make sure to ask for a renovated room and specifically not rooms 106 or 212.

The ceiling in 205 needs a paint job as there are water stains and what appears to be mud? spattered on it. Walls bare of any pictures. The check out clerk was unable to answer when $100 incidental charge for 2 rooms would be reapplied to charge card.

This is an polder hotel but it is very quiet and fairly clean. The front desk personnel was very polite and nice. For the price I paid in this foliage season it has a great value. The room was clean. I would suggest the owner to put some handles in the bathtub or at least to have some slippery prevention stuff to prevent people fall from the tub. I would use this place again if I have a trip to this area.

After driving all day, we were tired. I’m guessing the desk clerk was new or just not customer service oriented. The first thing she said was our credit card was declined. We had already paid thru you guys and since we had another hotel for the next day and it wasn’t declined. We knew that she wa wrong. She was having trouble checking us in. I am very allergic. When we went to the room I smelled smoke. I am very very sensitive. So I went to the clerk right away and told her we needed another room. They had these taped doors that said this room is santited. On our floor there were many that were broken and it was late. She either was told not to help us or just didn’t want to. I slept with a mask on all night. They looked like they were in a middle of a renovation. There was no deadlock on the door which was very disturbing. There was damage tile in front of the a/c but I wouldn’t let my husband put it on because smoke smell circulates when the a/c is one so we put the windows open. Also I woke up at 4 apparently the refrigerator make these loud noises. After that I just had to listen to the sound it finally went away and then before we left at about 6:30 am it started up again. This is a cheap priced hotel. The beds are comfortable. I just don’t know why this front desk clerk was so sour.

The entire experience was horrible. Not only did I pay $200 for this room, that was non-refundable (red flag 1) we got into our room, there was a hole in the wall and paint peeling off. There were yellow stains all over the white walls so easily visible. Our TV was missing a remote and HDMI. (Which did end up getting solved) the entire place in the hotel smelled so bad. Like Mildewy. There was no breakfast options. We got there 15 min before our reservation and they made us pay and extra $25 just to check in “early” even though our room was ready.. and when we walked up to the counter there was a very large man just sitting on the desk countertop. It was incredibly unprofessional looking. The window sill was disgusting and peeling with paint as well in our room.

It took forever to check in. Front desk watching and commenting and a TV show and when asked can we just check the replay was swearheart I am working in a PC. The exterior of hotel building looks nice but the parking lot is run down. The lobby appearance is dated. The vending machine in the lobby does not work. The room was satisfactory but there were stains on the carpeting. The beds made a squeaking sound whenever you moved and the mattresses were old and uncomfortable. The bathroom was clean but the tub / shower showed signs of age and the seal around the tub and back wall were non existent. The toilet was not scrubbed and showed black dirt on the bowl. There was no fan for ventilation in the bathroom.

We checked in after a long day at a funeral. I had a 7 year old with asthma. We walked into the building and it smelled like cigarettes.. Got on our room and it smelled like someone was smoking right in the room. I went to the front desk to have our room changed, I was told that all of the rooms are the same. The front desk clerk was outside with another person smoking a cigarette and I was told that they were surprised that I wasn't smelling weed. If it weren't midnight, we would have looked for another hotel. I had a spray sanitizer and sprayed the entire room. . I definitely do not recommend this property.

Unfortunately there was a distinct cigarette odor in the hallway, and a stained towel, both of which made me uncomfortable. The laundry was useful, and we liked being able to walk to a nice restaurant.
