Arrived very late (2:00AM) to check in to hotel. I reserved a king bed room but we were placed in a double. We were so tired from the flight and drive, we did not have the energy to head back to the front desk with all our baggage so we just tried to make it work. The room looked like it was throw together. Turned on the heat and black soot came flying out onto one of the beds. The bathroom was dirty. Also, the hotel failed to mention the hotel was under construction. we were awaken with contractor banging in a room at 7:30AM. I gave this location one star because the hotel lacked basic communication skills to inform us if a king bed was/wasn't available and about the construction.

The room was very spacious and clean. The staff was friendly and the overall look of the hotel was very nice. The only thing that was a little annoying was that the lobby was very cold due to the extreme cold temps outside and every time the door opened a large gust of cold air came in and the fire place that was on, wasn't able to offset the cold. Otherwise it was a very pleasant stay and I would definitely go back.

Entire 2nd floor smelled like cat urine. 2 doors down had a cat staying in the room. Requested to be moved and was accommodated but not immediately. Found a silver fish in the bathroom sink. Newly renovated 4th floor was subpar, construction still in progress and shower head was dirty and recaulked tub was sloppy.

I am very disappointed with my recent stay due to misleading room information. I specifically booked a King Room with a kitchenette based on Expedia’s photos and description. To avoid any issues, I called the hotel twice before arrival and was told the King Suite I booked did include a kitchenette.
When I arrived, I was given a standard King Room with no kitchenette. This was especially frustrating since we stayed multiple nights and brought food to cook. No solution was offered that night, and we were told the front desk could not resolve the issue because the booking was through Expedia. As a result, we had to spend additional money eating out.
We were moved to the correct room the next day at the same price, but no compensation or adjustment was made. We also experienced issues with the TV, problems with the toilet in the first room, and staff often could not provide clear answers. The hotel is under renovation, yet pricing did not reflect this, and rates appeared inflated for New Year’s.
Had the listing photos and confirmed information been accurate, this situation would have been avoided. We made the best of it, but the experience was disappointing, and some form of compensation is warranted.

We must have booked the wrong night but there wasn’t a single email telling us about our upcoming reservation, phone call etc. so we paid $400 for prime oct Saturday night and of course there were no rooms when we checked in. But the lack of empathy was off the chart by the front desk “Angel” who seriously needed a shower. Yea I booked this through hotels.com but I’m also Hyatt good and you just lost a customer.

The hotel was fairly clean, we were upgraded in our room which was a nice surprise, the room itself was large, however several of the outlets did not work in the bathrooms.
Bartender at the bar was wonderful, he made us feel very comfortable and good was surprising decent for what it was. Would stay her again.

False advertising, the main picture of the rooms, as noted in this very review, has a kitchen, but only a small number of rooms have kitchens, and we didn't get one (very deceiving marketing practice); one of the big reasons for picking this hotel, was it had a hot tub, but during out two-day stay, it was our-of-order! The breakfast was subpar when compared to other hotels with similar style breakfast. And the room itself was filth and aged, not a good combo

The property was fine. Our room was old and could use some maintenance/upkeep. The room was generally clean (although they forgot to empty prior guests’ trash) and spacious though, the shower was hot and the toilet worked properly. The lobby was much of the same story although i would say there could be a bit more effort to keep hallways clean. We arrived around 6 pm and there was a lot of rubbish and food in the hallway. That was still there when we left at 8 am the next morning. All in all it was an ok experience.

Our stay here was absolutely horrible and our trip to New York was ruined because this horrible stay at Hyatt House. From our arrival on Sunday we were put in a room that was completely unclean ( urine & feces on the toilet and walls, pubic hair over the sink and throughout the room, food splatter and other matter on the walls and doors, bathroom sink backing up). We were moved twice. The final room we stayed in had the same problems as the first room and then some.

The final room also had issues with the toilet not working properly. The Chief Engineer, General Manager, Assistant General Manager, and Operations Manager were all informed of this and tge rest of the issues. Well, nothing was done and the toilet backed up and flooded the second bedroom suite. We had to stay in this room being exposed to toxic toilet water and mildew from the wet carpet. In addition, the water was shut off for 2 days denying us access to running water. I requested a full refund based on the fact that our rights to reasonable safety and comfort during our stay was taken away from us. I am still requesting a full refund from Expedia/Hyatt House. I will be filing a formal complaint with the New York State Attorney and FTC Consumer Protection Bureau.

The property is very old which is fine, especially for what you get. But the hotel seemed horribly understaffed. The decor is horrible. The bartender Noah was great. Its located conveniently to what we needed it to be close to. However, my mom slipped on the extremely slippery wet tile around the hot tub and hurt herself badly. There were no signs indicating tbat the are was very slippery, and I had to take it upon myself to put towels down so that others didnt do the same. Additinally, once staff was informed of the situation, they didnt give off the impression of being terribly concerned about it. And no one from managament reached out. We were not offered any sort of assurance that the issue would be fixed in the future, neither were we offered any sort of compensation or any offers to offset any inconvenience or pain suffered. There was no offer of atonement or attempt to rectify anything. My mother is 71 years old and could have and may still be seriously injured. I wasnt impressed.

The breakfast bar was taken down an hour early so we missed it a couple of times. Other than these things, staff was very accommodating and pleasant. There were plenty of families at the hotel so I’m assuming that they cater to families that are traveling. There were a couple good restaurants in the area. I believe we went to the red line diner, which actually seems like an upscale type diner. We enjoyed our food there.

Check-in was easy. The gentleman who checked is in on 7/4 at about 4:30pm was really great through out our stay. Very helpful and attentive. Breakfast was good. Hot food along with cold breakfast options were available. My children enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The cook at the bar recommended great food places to check out

This was a pretty good value for the money. The hotel was mostly clean but they allow pets and you can tell. Pets lower the cleanliness of any place and the fact that so many people have allergies that affect the ability to rate the stay any higher. Also, I had to ask them to clean my room after the second day and replace towels and I was a little annoyed that I kept returning in the evening, and had not had my room cleaned or towels replaced. The number of people smoking around the entry ways was a huge drawback as well.

Good location, clean, nice size rooms, decent breakfast. The ear splitting fire alarm ruined our stay. Apparently there was some equipment issue in pool room that forced everyone to evacuate for almost a hour with zero communication from staff. Also there were no pillows or blankets provided for our pull out sofa and only 2 towels in a room that sleeps 4. When we called we were told they had no pillows but we could come get a blanket. Front desk staff is very nice but needs help. No one answers the outside line.

I really liked the location. So close to highway exit, easy to park. Close to shops and resturants and they even have a bar with snack (finger food).
