Let me be absolutely clear: this hotel was, by far, the single worst part of my recent trip across Quebec, New Hampshire, and Maine. It is the epitome of inconvenience, poor value, and a total rip-off. To pay $230 for this experience is not just unreasonable—it is a steal, and the owner should be ashamed to charge that amount without conscience.
From the moment we arrived, the issues began. The hotel has no dedicated parking, which is a significant inconvenience for travelers. We found the dining situation equally unacceptable; breakfast is not included, and while they offered a discount to their café, we refused based on pictures showing food served in paper dishes—a low-quality setup that is unacceptable for a hotel at this price point.
The room itself was an absolute disaster. I travel frequently, and this was hands down the tiniest room I have ever had in my life. My wife and I literally had to bump into each other just to move around. The space was choked by furniture that was clearly too big for the room, yet so cheap it was almost broken. This furniture serves no purpose except to reduce the already microscopic floor space. To make matters worse, the bedding consisted of cheap sheets over a cracking mattress, guaranteeing no rest was to be had.
While the bathroom appeared to have been recently upgraded, it already suffered from critical failures. The extraction fan makes such a high level of noise that I couldn't use it in the middle of the night without the certain

We’ve stayed at Cold Spring Hotel for Labor Day weekend for the past 3 years. Every time we stay there we feel at home, the owner and his son are SUPERB. The property is very clean. Perfect location, near restaurants, cafes, antique shop and more. Keep in mind if you want to stay at this place you need to book it months in advance during holidays.

Great service and very clean room. Owners were VERY pleasant and accommodating. Just a couple heads up for travelers. Our room, #4 was VERY small. We were there for a formal event at West Point and was difficult to get ready in the room. Also if traveling in colder months, there is only an electric baseboard heater in the bathroom, and a small space heater for heat. Not a reflection on the owners, just an FYI for future patrons. I cannot speak to the other rooms

Had a wonderful stay. The hospitality of Jimmy and staff was absolutely incredible, such nice people and extremely welcoming. Got a great discount at the on site cafe, 50% off for guests and the food was very good and homemade. The room was nice and bed was very comfortable. Best part was you were right in the village and near some hiking trails and nature preserves. Will be back and stay here again. Such a good experience!!

The room layouts were a bit odd, and our room (#6) was on the first floor directly behind the store. The room itself had no windows, but a narrow hallway that led to nothing except 2 windows at the end. The bed was good, and not having the windows meant we actually slept pretty well.
The space had been recently renovated so everything was well made and all new, but soundproofing was not great and I could hear our neighbors talking and snoring.

Jimmy was very welcoming! He called ahead of my arrival, and once I got there he gave me an option of rooms. The room was large & clean, and the bed very comfortable. Shower was a little small but not bad for a 1-night stay. Plenty of snacks & beverages were available, and I had an excellent gyro made onsite. The hotel is located right in the village, just a short walk to the Hudson River with restaurant & shopping options next door and across the street. What a beautiful area!
The only drawback was being able to hear the other guests through the walls in my first-floor room. I'm not sure if that was an issue in any other rooms, but it was a distraction for me.

Perfect Spot for a Sleepy Town Getaway
I stumbled on this place while trying to find somewhere affordable to stay close to Dia:Beacon and Storm King. This is a PERFECT, lovely spot in a sleepy town I never would have gotten to experience before. This spot is centrally located, clean, and comfortable. Heat/AC worked well. And the owners are warm, friendly, and attentive - they really want to help make you feel taken care of! Grab a sandwich from their cafe for half price when you stay with them. There's also a sweet bakery a few doors down, plus some fun stores. A brief stroll takes you down to the water, and you're a 15 minute walk to a state park with lots of trails. I was charmed by Cold Springs, and felt well taken care of and safe here as a solo traveler.

- Complimentary packaged snacks (like cookies and chips) plus tea, coffee, and bottled water were provided in a common area right outside the room

The rooms were small but nice. The walls are psper thin. We could hear every guests conversations and bodily functions. Needs major renovation. Instant coffee and a few muffins were the breakfast. Would not reccomend. Almost $400 for 2 nights

Jimmy the owner was so kind and accommodating, I couldn’t get a taxi/Lyft/Uber out of Highland Falls and was stranded at a McDonalds for over two hours. I called Jimmy and he drove 25 minutes to pick me up! He didn’t charge me either! The room was small, but immaculately clean, the bathroom was gorgeous, and the bed was very comfortable. The common room was full of extra towels, snacks, drinks, hand sanitizer, and extra space heaters and fans. There was also a mini-fridge. I would definitely stay here again.

Service was very friendly, helpful. Room is new with sparse furniture, large windows with not great views. Great shower. Some basic amenities are missing: hand soap, wash cloths and hand towels. No coffee machine in room. Espresso machine in lobby but no clean cups or instructions how to use. The description is almost opposite--not art deco, not in a state park but next to one, rooms are located in a sandwich shop so it feels a bit strange walking through. They want you to feel like family rather than a hotel. Long-term guests were grilling at the patio entrance. Walls are definitely not soundproof as advertised. Could hear conversations clearly through the walls. No breakfast. Bottled water provided upon check in. Parking on the street was tricky to find. We let ourselves out in the morning, locking the door behind us, per instructed. If you're looking for a unique experience in the downtown area of a historic district, give this place a try. Restaurants are located nearby and the Hudson River is a short walk away.
