Restroom counter had two large cracks that were poorly repaired. Curtain was torn and too narrow for frame and bright flood lights shined thru all night. A bagel and granola bar was it for “breakfast” which is not a meal. Carpet was dirty along edges. Hall carpet was dirty & damaged. Decor was dated. Very expensive for a bottom level hotel. We’ll never stay at a Howard Johnson again!

There were cobwebs in the corner of the bathtub so obviously the tub was not wiped down entirely. The room itself was clean but the hotel overall is in need of updates. Hallway carpet appears worn. All interactions with staff were excellent. They were helpful and pleasant. For the price of the room, the breakfast should have been more than a granola bar and bagel.

This hotel is seriously misrepresented by the pictures. When we pulled up to the parking, the hotel looked like it was abandoned and the building was in disrepair. I thought we entered the wrong address because the hotel and lobby look nothing like in the pictures. The area felt sketchy and generally unsafe. We checked in and tried to get in the room but the key didn’t work so we took it as a sign and decided to immediately check out. The receptionist was pleasant and helpful and was the only positive to this experience but Orbitz needs to remove this hotel from their listing or put real pictures of what it looks like so you know what your paying for because this is not honest advertising.

Hallway smells. Doors to hallway don't latch. Room bathroom had leak from ceiling pipes that smelled. Granite countertop over toilet is broken with two foot crack completely through the granite. We had to be moved to another room. Manager and staff smokes close to the door outside so that guests have to walk through the smoke. Breakfast consists of only two different bagel types. Coffee, brown orange juice and apple juice. No eggs or other protein. Pathetic to call it breakfast.

Manager unwilling to compensate for the two hour inconvenience of relocating to another room because I booked on Expedia. Will never book this poorly maintained dump again.

NO BREAKFAST!

We could tell that this had once been a very nice hotel, but h fallen into disrepair. We could also tell that the current owners are trying to bring this place back, but so far have not been very successful. When we first entered the building, there was a bad odor in the hallway. The desk clerk had an attitude of indifference. She quoted me a price that was more than the price on Hotels.com, and when I asked if she could match it, she said that I would have to book it online to get that price. So I stood in the lobby and booked the room on my phone ... pretty stupid. The room seemed clean enough, but the sheets made us itchy ... probably the detergent that they use. There were several small maintenance issues with the room, but nothing terrible. The kicker was when we went down for breakfast. There was coffee, juice, and packaged granola bars ... that's all. I would not recommend staying here until they get their act together.

The first floor smelled weed / cigarette and moldy as did both rooms. Bathtub was clogged in 1 room. Housepeeking did not empty garbage in bathroom or changed soap in the other room. Both rooms smelled moldy. Told the front desk at check out and she just respond with “ok”. Young lady at the check-in was probably the best part of the the stay.

I would not recommend a stay at this property. There is night time activity in the parking lot and the hallways smell of marijuana. The room also smells and the customer service is horrible. They advertise free breakfast... all that is a granola bar ans a cup of coffee.

The bathroom tub did not drain & had to shower in a puddle..after which a small beetle/waterbug cam out of the shower drain 😮
The hallway as quite outdated & smelled slinky/marijuana.

Room not worth the price. The quality was not worth the cost. This room shouldve costed half the price. The exterior was bot kept well, section of the building looked like a junk pile, and it felt like almost a place where they put people getting welfare, not a nice hotel. Staff was nice enough. Room was overall ok, though a spider had made a web in the tub making me wuestion last time it was used or cleaned and shower handle was hard to turn and old. Toom setved its purpose but overall again, not worth price.

Upon entering our room the door was very loose and not secure until we put the metal latch over the door. There was no dead bolt as it had been removed. When checking our balcony door it did not have a lock that worked and the safety bar fell down when one tried to open the door allowing complete access. I was told because I was on the second floor it was unlikely it would be an issue for me. I had expressed concerns of safety and was told curtly that there were no other rooms and he would have maintenance try to fix it in the morning and if they could not we would possibly be relocated if there was a cancellation. When I called the following afternoon (attended events at West Point Academy all day) the new manager working had no record that the room was to be looked into. It had not by 6PM yet, but was assured that the person working the front desk would take care of it. He did, and it was greatly appreciated.
Also noted there was blood on the comforter on the bed so I had requested the sheets to be removed and replaced. I was told that he does not make beds well but he could strip the sheets and leave new ones. I said that would not be a problem. When the sheets were stripped they were simply thrown in the corner of our room and not even taken out. The comforter with blood (not ours) was still on the bed in a ball and not removed. I believe there was. misunderstanding where it was, and rather than looking (I had specifically said)they just stripped the bed

The property is older and shows its age (harvest gold showers with 40 years of caulking), but the rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. The breakfast selection was slim (no protein options), so plan accordingly there. It was quiet and for the price, it was fine. You are not staying at the Hilton, so be sure to lower your standards a bit before check-in.

The Hotel gives off a very eerie feeling. Never a good start when the first thing you do is strip[ the bed to check the mattress. The patio door (on the first floor) is flimsy and looks like it could easily be broken into. Also concerning when local police officers tell me to get out of the hotel because they have frequent complaints including just hours before my checkin.
