The room was fine. A bit small and certainly no frills but clean. The staff was very helpful a quick to get the bedding and kitchen supplies we needed for our stay. I found the bed to be uncomfortable and woke up with a backache but my son and husband were fine with it.

We were not expecting a five star hotel for this price but the service and facilities were lacking at best. Lobby smelled like vomit, elevator smelled like cigarettes, dirty walls, no quilts (only
light blankets and they wouldn’t give us extra), they gave us 3 pillows and 3 towels for 4 people, staff wouldn’t bring anything to our room, we had to repeatedly ask for sheets for the bed and they made us make them ourselves. You couldn’t pay me to stay here again. If the price seems too good to be true, it is.

The only issue I had is that there was a huge smell of pot right by the front doors. Overpowering. There was also a strong cigarette smell on the first floor between room 136 and 139. Other than that, I like my room. It feels like an apartment! Tell the manager that the young man who checked me in was very good, checked me in very efficiently and quickly, and was nice.

Room was not stocked with items for the kitchen or shampoo. Both were available at the desk, but desk was not always attended. We had to request linens for the pullout sofa, and they didn't have any extra pillows.
Great location and easy to get to the highway/ restaurants, but overall just okay.

I liked location to highway. Plenty of food options nearby.
A/C worked well. Room was clean. I wished there was a mug or plate handy instead of having to go requesting and waiting. The odor to both rooms because of the history of cooking in the room was gross. Even the lobby had a terrible odor which didn’t make a first good impression.

Looks are deceiving the pictures that are on the website are nice inside the hotel is kind of dingy smelled of marijuana throughout the hallways. Never felt really safe but nothing happened just felt very uncomfortable there.
Next time I'm in the area I will spend a little extra to stay somewhere different.

The staff was nice, the bed snd pillows were comfy enough and the shower had good pressure. There were used soda cans behind the furniture, which is why we clicked dirty, othrrwise it wasn't \"dirty\". It was annoying that they dont put basics like utensils and coffee maker in the room, you have to call down and request them.

Front desk is not staffed, sign on window that says they are busy helping other guests but they are assigned other duties such as vacuuming the halls, etc three days I saw one time the desk was staffed.

Also promotes full kitchen yet there are no dishes, glasses, silverware. Drawers are completely empty. There’s a sign that says call the front desk to have items delivered, I called and was told they are unable to deliver but I can pick them up in an hour? No coffee maker unless you go get one from the front desk.

The man who checked us in was courteous. We appreciated the luggage carts. The room was \"adequate minus.\" The floor was very sticky. We had to ask for washcloths, as none were left in our bathroom. It was a place to sleep for a few hours, nothing more. All of our luggage had to be placed on the sofa and counter because of the sticky floors. When we went to check out we couldn't find a person at the desk. I knocked on the laundry room door, and the person doing the laundry took my room entry cards. It was a bit strange. I don't think we'll stay there again.

Have stayed ESA in many location, most of them are good but this one is very good.
Clean and neat with fresh towels and amenities, quiet despite of close to busy streets, responsive staff.
One small request is,,,avoid empty reception/front desk particularly general check-in hours. In any event, I could stay very comfortable.

The staff were all amazing. Very helpful and pleasant to talk to. Our room was clean but the floor had not been washed. No ice machine which shocked me. It seems more like low income housing then any type of “hotel”.

We booked a room with a sofa bed but the sofa bed did not have sheets. We went to the lobby and they gave us a pile of sheets--it was DIY, youth-hostel-style. The bathroom had soap but no shampoo, though there was a sign saying we could get shampoo at the front desk. Front desk called us at 10PM, waking up my kid, for a weird + pointless courtesy call to ask if everything was OK. Breakfast was minimal--not much aside from shrinkwrapped muffins and instant oatmeal.

Other than the strange service, the room was fine, though I was certainly expecting more amenities for the price point.

Booked this as a stop over. The area had plenty of eating places but the hotel was awful. The staff checking us in was rude and ignorant, he really didn’t lie his job. The rooms were noisy and although the bed was comfortable the rooms were old and scruffy. Check out was much better very polite young woman. Won’t stay there again.

Our family rented 4 rooms and stayed over a long weekend for a funeral. The staff was amazing and did everything to accomodate us including a dog. They were personable and caring, timely and helpful!

The Assistant Manager Stephanie remembered calls, got extra blankets and worked her best to place rooms convenient to one another. Daisha general manager and another found schedule allowed for late noon checkout (not always available, but went beyond to do). Top stars for cleanliness.

Building is a bit dated, but the heat was tops for room and shower in the 5 degree snowy weather. Walkways were ssfe and well salted.

Hotel is next to Cracker Barrel and diner that took large parties and walkable shopping including Walmart.

25 Merritt is the Extended Stay America to stay at (not 55 down the road!).

The entire property was dingy and our “nonsmoking” room reeked of stale smoke. In fact it reeked of pot when we walked in the lobby and we could smell cigarette smoke coming out of nonsmoking rooms on our hall on the way to the room. The room was adequate in furnishings but the floor was sticky — all over. The brekfast was a bit of a joke - coffee only out in those few hours and breakfast was just bars, prepackaged muffins or plain oatmeal packets with nothing to put on it. Ended up checking out early and getting breakfast at Panera next store. When we asked for refund for the second night because of the smoke they didn’t hesitate and also never apologized.

I've stayed here a few times over all the times I've lived in the area. Typically I was eager to stay here mostly for convenience but also because it seemed cleaner and nicer than it's sister hotel across the street (which was one of the worst experiences of my life) Alas, this last time makes me wonder if I will ever stay there again. Thankfully I hadn't unpacked I just leaned back on the bed and a bed bug made it's way past my face on my pillow. I would have left then and there but part of the reason I was there was because my car was in the shop. I was moved to another room. That room had no aircon. I get moved again- the room is in far better shape but there is water damage in the bathroom. Given my options I take the water damage as it's already well past midnight at that time. I had taken a picture of the bed bug and instead of letting me just email it to someone in charge at the hotel I had to walk my phone to the lobby at 7am. They didn't do anything but look at the photo ultimately. Later I found giant (what I think were spider bites?) all on my right side. After 4 hours of sleep and all the inconvenience I was never offered even so much as a refund on my first night. The people were nice- I simply wish the hotel was better taken care of. I don't know if I'll ever be back now after this extremely terrifying experience.

Rooms rugs had red stains possibly blood droplets. Did not have shampoo in room. Outside back door dog poo on 2second day and still there following day when checking out. No one at desk when checking out. Advertised breakfast included all they offered was a poor selection of cheap prepackaged muffins and nutri bars. With watery coffee. Will not be staying at extended stay again.

DON’T EVER stay at Extended!!

Horrible! Our flight was delayed so I called & Michael said he would alert the night staff that we were coming but late. I called again at 2:30am to say plane landed but rental car closed so we’d be there about 9:30am. KAREN informed me that at 1 am ‘the audit flagged you as a no show & we canceled your reservation. The reservation was for a week but Karen told me to stop talking so she could continue to tell me I was a no show so no reservation. I found another hotel in Fishkill that not only gave me a room but allowed us to get in at 9:30am since we hadn’t slept all night. I didn’t know then, but Michael had let my daughter put flowers & snacks in our room as an anniversary surprise so it was very obvious we were going to pay for the week & we’re not a NO SHOW. Only nice staff besides Michael was the young woman who gathered the flowers, etc. so my daughter could pick up & bring to our new reserved hotel. Photo is what was waiting in the room they canceled!! We will NEVER stay at Extended again - and that’s the loss of this week,and future reservations of one week visits quite often to see our grandkids.

Booked a suite with bed and pull out sofa, sofa bed had no sheets and was broken and would not lay flat. Three pillows for the whole room and staff was rude when asked for more. Pocket door lock on bathroom door would not latch and more often then not the card access side door to the building was propped open. Disappointed in quality for $340 for two nights

I am a frequent traveler, this is the worst hotel I ever stayed at. After my observation, we left the hotel after spending 2 hours in the room. I will never return to an Extended Stay America - smelly, dingy, outdate room. I'll stop here, dont want to relive the bad experience.
