They clean room every 4 days, there is a washing machine and soap in room, hot plate with dishes, small refrigerator that froze everything if turned about 3. Comfortable bed, small table and balcony. Nice room, hotel is 50meters from the seawall that is close to a dive spot, no parking at hotel but seawall is free, 2nd time staying herr, wpuld again

Great location if going onto kadena, right on the beach. There dont have free parking but you can pay ¥1000 per day or find a place at the seaside >1 min walk.
There is a dive shop at the hotel and down the street. There are good restaurants within walking distance. My only complaint is the wifi was horrible. Didnt work until 1am -2am really bad

This is the perfect hotel when you're staying in the Sunabe area. Walkable to many restaurants, parks, and the sea wall. The rooms have a washer, refer, hot plate, balcony. If you want to dive sign up for a Karama's dive with the Island Massage!!

Have stayed there a week in 2018 & 2021, and 3 weeks in Jan 2022, and plan on staying another week in March 2022. Close to the Sunabe Sea Wall and great eateries. Quiet hotel: good for telecommuting during the day. Can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Chatan.

Very cozy rooms with ppenty of amenities, as well as an electric skillet, cooking supplies and a washer uncluded if you book the deluxe suite. The location was the primary draw for me, but i was very satisfied with the room itself. There is also a dive sbop on the ground floor for those interested in Scuba.

The location was ideal and we enjoyed the breakfast that was included in our fee. The views from the top floor/restaurant were spectacular! We needed our adult son to check us in because of our flight arriving so late and there were NO issues there!
Something to work on: We went directly through the hotel to book an extra night. (Our son's mother in law was at their place and it would have been too many people in their apartment.) The cleaning service was NOT conducted in our room. Their reasoning was that we did not put our room key in the key box indicating we desired that service. The problem is, we NEVER put our key in the key box for the previous three days full service WAS conducted. We were confused and disappointed. The hotel would not comp us anything off the stay and offered a new/clean room. It was late and we declined. The employee was very sorry and nice, but that's the way it goes some times.

Bed was made for a midget. No American shows on tv. Noisey at night. Front desk personnel only spoke Japanese. Not American friendly place to stay. Won’t stay there again.

The room was quite small and had a musty odor. The window looked into a parking structure next door, so not much daylight came in. The room was quite small, which was OK for one person. There were two single beds, but two people in that room would've been too cramped.

Great hotel with amazing views!!

We had a great experience at this hotel. The staff were so kind and courteous which made our stay much more enjoyable. The hotel sits next to the seawall and the beach. Which was perfect for my little one who loves the water. Running the seawall before sunrise was one of our favorite things to do around the area. There are many restaurants surrounding the hotel so you have many food selections. Bring yen though as most places only accept yen and only a handful accept dollars. I have to admit the beds in the room was amazing because it was cozy and it felt relaxing. We loved it so much we actually went out and bought the same comforter. It was nice to have free wifi and to be able to communicate with our family and friends back home. The free breakfast was delicious. Even though it was your basic eggs, bacon, sausage, etc the cooks prepared the food well. A great way to start your day! Make sure to bring your camera because the views up on the roof top is amazing. We would definitely stay here again in the future and we highly recommend this place to families.

Ask how to use the air conditioner.

Room was small and could have left more towels. They quickly gave more when requested. Service was good and washing machine/dryer was available. Front desk closes early so I had to arrange for someone to be there when my plane arrived late. Otherwise a good experience.

Great little place. Basic, but clean and comfortable with all the necessities. Close to ocean boardwalk to watch great sunsets and crashing waves. Walking distance to restaurants/bars...if you like local beer, check out Beer Rize.

Stayed there for 10 days, felt it was too long of a stay in okinawa but the staff there from the room cleaners, dining attendant and front deskmade me and my family feel right at home. They always had someone who spoke english so that was a great help.

Not much beach, but a lot of ocean

Good front desk, but closes at 2300 or so. My room was in the annex, so my balcony with table and chairs looked out over a little park. Those in the original building have balconies facing the other building. Large room, all amenities present. My eyes are sensitive to harsh white light, so I navigated in semi-darkness using the bed stand light. During the night the air con came on and blew directly on me and I woke with a raging sore throat. Bath is a compromise between traditional Japanese and western bathin practices, leaving the shower curtain 3 feet from the tub, but everything worked fine--lots of hot water for my gaijin shower. Overall, a good experience, dive shops near and support in hotel. I stayed here because my friends live around the corner, but it would be a good spot for diving on the ocean plant beds.

I had a good time here. they had everything that I needed except wifi. They had a good internet connection in the rooms on a network cable that ran really fast, but I couldn't wifi to my phone. Breakfast was good at the top of the building with a beautiful view of the rooftops and the ocean waves coming in.The staff was really nice and happy to help with whatever you needed. It is close to the water along the sunabe sea wall which was nice to go for a walk or run for a couple of miles. lots of food options within walking distance.

It was a pleasant hotel very close to the seawall in a nice residential neighborhood.
We were there for two nights and were quite comfortable. It was extra nice to have a balcony with a partial view of the ocean. There was a park out the back door for our kids to play at. We will definitely stay there again.

All around bad.

Not one phone in the entire hotel to make local phone calls. Advertise for breakfast buffet but only give it to you on the weekend. The rest is of the week they bring you one plate of food, they decide what you eat, not you. If you want your room clean you have to take the key downstairs between 10am and 2pm. Front desk is closed from 11pm-7am. Pay $10 for parking. They provide a washer and dryer in the walkway but then give you a time frame between 2pm and 7pm only to do your laundry. The only decent thing in this hotel was the mattress and location. I would never stay here again.

The staff was incredibly helpful! Very willing to assist with any patrons needs. The room was kept very clean and had a wonderful bathroom suite. The bedding was a little uncomfortable but nothing to steer you away! Absolutely loved the proximity to the reef and all the local shops and restaurants! I would definitely stay here again!

Great experience at this hotel. Check in was a little weird because on the website it says there is no hotel staff and to call ahead to confirm arrival time. I tried calling and the girl that answered the phone didn't speak English, but it ended up being ok. There was a really nice girl there when we arrive (I'm guessing it was the same girl I spoke to a couple hours earlier).

Pleasantly surprised at the overall experience. Staff very helpful.
Room pleasant and very clean. I hadn't realized breakfast was included. It was a full American or Japanese breakfast in a very nice 5th floor dining room with sea view. Also great view of planes taking off from Kadena. Many small restaurants in the neighbor hood, and dive shops. Very short walk to the seawall. Free in room WiFi when requested.

This was a nice little place to stay. You are staying among Americans and natives in the Sunabe community. There are several restaurants within easy walking distance and a nice place to walk on the seawall. It can get a little loud with Kadena Air Base located so close so if jet noise is an issue, you may want to consider another hotel.

It's close from American village which's one of the best things. The room's very clean, calm but a bit chilly because of the large room size. The tub on the roof is not available on Dec., unfortunatelly. Wi-fi connecter was given to us, but didn't work as well, but it works very well in the lobby. The christmas tree decoration in the lobby was nice and beautiful.

Nice place to stay with some nice extras

The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet in the rooftop restaurant was included and was very good. The rooftop jacuzzi and patio were also a nice plus, great for watching the sunset over the ocean. Hotel is within walking distance of many restaurants, cafes and dive shops as well and the Sunabe boardwalk is about one minute's walk from the hotel lobby.

Clean hotel. Nice size room- with comfy bed after sleeping on floor most other places we visited. Restaurant only open for breakfast but was free and very good. WiFi is also free but only available in lobby. Power works off key in wall so when you're gone no ac, phone chargers, etc. But that is pretty standard now. Overall it's clean and safe and well worth the money.

Great location for our needs

We were very happy with our stay. Great location for visiting family that are stationed at Kadena AFB or Camp Foster and Lester. One block from the seawall and the breakfast was good. Two blocks from Hamby Park which is great for the kids. Know your Japanese greetings and thank you's because the staff is very friendly and will always give there best Okinawan good morning. Go south on the seawall a few blocks and look for a place called the Sea Glass restaurant, The food is fantastic but be patient the service is great but on island time. For a great burger try Gordys near the park. Don't be turned off by the building, its great. Have Fun.

Comfortable room but serious lack of service

So I wasn't too impressed with this hotel, mainly due to service. The hotel is split with hotel guests and permanent residents (apartments). It looks like its converted from US army off-base housing, this may explain some of the following issues. For several days our beds and towels were not being changed, we would have to go to the front desk and ask for new towels everyday. About halfway through our stay we had to tell them \"we expect you in this room everyday to clean, change towels and make the bed at 10am\". Parking was around the corner and cost an additional fee (around 500 yen a day). Hotel restaurant and bar was cash only. Breakfast was not very good. View from the room was of an alley and in the afternoon large planes from the air force base would rumble the room. Now for the redeeming qualities. This area is definitely American friendly, with plenty of nice restaurants and friendly (mostly military) neighbors. This was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on. Also free and really good internet speeds but this seems common for every place we stayed in Okinawa.

Comfortable accommodations in Chatan, Okinawa

The hotel is in an excellent location about half a block back from the Sunabe Seawall and within walking distance of many good restaurants and scuba diving shops. The hotel restaurant, the Hakulea, was very good with ocean views and sunsets that match the hotels brochure. The portions were designed for the Japanese appetite, not an American one, so they were a bit on the small side, which I found at most of the restaurants. The included breakfast was Japanese style with things like miso soup, fish, various vegetables, eggs, spam. There was also toast and fruit salad. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, although a few of them did not speak much English. The room was reasonably nice with a tiled rather than carpeted floor, large beds with very soft mattresses, large soft pillows, desk, sitting area, large closet, safe, and kitchenette. I felt the LAN internet connection was kind of slow, but at least was included in the price. The TV was small, about 22”, and only got about 5 Japanese stations. It would have been nice for a hotel at that price in a resort area to have satellite TV that got stations like CNN international. As is the Japanese custom, when you enter the room, you are expected to take your shoes off and wear the provided slippers. The AC controls were somewhat difficult to figure out as the translated instructions with pictures did not match the controller in my room. The hotel also has a scuba diving shop, although none of the staff speak much English.

お部屋、水回りは新しくなっていてとても快適でしたが、年季と気候で致し方無いのかもしれませんがお部屋がカビ臭かったので、その臭いに慣れるまできつかったです。
お値段もお安いですので、次回利用させた頂く際はルームスプレーを持参しようと思いました。

今回一人旅でした。このホテルには以前から何回も泊まっていますが、ここの静かさとゆっくり出来る環境が好きです。ホテルのお部屋もレトロなな感じがとても落ち着きます。歩いて30秒で綺麗な海に行ける事や、外人住宅の海外にいる様なロケーションが好きです。海岸を散歩したて夕陽を見て海岸沿いのオシャレなBARで食事をして満喫しました。

儘管酒店有些時代感，但房間內很光猛，地方大而且整潔。酒店位置在海邊，環境清靜。距離潛水的目的地很近，十分方便。職員們都很有禮細心。價錢便宜但性價比高，比一般市區的更舒服。附近民居內亦有很多特色餐廳小店酒吧。

建物は古いとのことですが清潔にされていてとても良かったです。
部屋には洗濯機、包丁や食器などが置かれてありとても便利でした。タオルも取り替え自由。本当に必要な物が揃っています。
値段もリーズナブルだったので、次回も泊まらせて頂きたいと思います。
ただ、コンビニやスーパーが遠いので車があった方が便利だと思います。
飲食店は近くにあるので、不自由はありません。

海辺の素敵なホテルです。

ホテルから海まで一分もかからない所にあるかわいいピンクの壁のおしゃれなホテルです。
お部屋はとても清潔で周りは静かな外人住宅地で、ホテルの近くに有名なお蕎麦屋さんや、カフェやtacos屋さんなどもあり、賑やかでした。
海沿いにお散歩出来ができる歩道があり毎日散歩しました。
とてもロケーションの良い場所でした。大満足です。

清潔感ある部屋で設備も申し分なく、程よい距離感で接してくれるスタッフの皆様に感謝です。
リピーターになると思います。
一人旅だったので晩飯はちょっとだけ不便でしたが、異国情緒ある海岸至近のロケーションは非日常で旅情を増幅しました

KANAKO

素泊まりで行かせてもらってスタッフの対応はとても親切でとても良かったです。ただお風呂のドアに黒いカビみたいなものがあったり、トイレのウォシュレットの電源は付いているのに使えなかったりと不便さを感じました。
電気系統の管理を定期的にしていただきたいです。
ホテル自体はとても良かったと思います。お世話になりありがとうございました。
