If you like an ocean view this place was nice. The wind was a bit loud when it blows, has a balcony and it has a small refrigerator and the microwave and vending machines on 2nd and 3 flr. Laundry is free on same floor.

This hotel is just along the coast in the popular area for scuba diving, and also not far from Mihama where you can enjoy restaurants,cafes,and bars.
The only thing I noticed was there was a noise from neighbors until midnight as it was Friday night. Other than that, good location in a pretty reasonable price.

I wanted to stay couple last day in Okinawa near ocean. The room had minimum items, it's totally ok, if you just need place to take shower and sleep. Staff were friendly and i had smooth check in process. Only one thing I had a problem that the hotel doesn't have enough parking spot for their guests who use rental car.

The rooms all have dedicated WiFi routers, bathrooms, and AC, with all lights being controllable from next to the bed. Convenient USB outlets are also available next to the bed. Body wash and shampoo are provided, as are towels and hair drier.
However, the rest of the power sockets are slightly awkwardly placed, and required a bit of logistics with extension cords to route. Nothing major, but best prepare with a cord.

Great for a solo traveler, short term stay.
First some context: I was having dinner and drinks with friends in the popular \"Sunabe Seawall\" area of Chatan, Okinawa. Japan's blood alcohol limit for driving is .03, meaning you'll need a taxi if you have even one drink (there are no trains in Okinawa, as opposed to the rest of Japan where the train system is ubiquitous.) So instead of paying for a taxi home, then asking my wife to unhappily agree to drive me back in the morning to get my car, I chose to stay at the Hotel Sunset American. The hotel was a great price (maybe a few more dollars than the cost of a taxi), a GREAT location for anyone spending the night in Sunabe. The front desk clerk was terrific and spoke great English. Check-in took 60 seconds. The room was small and spartan: a TV with 3 Japanese only channels, a tiny bathroom with toilet, sink, and tub/shower, with soap and shampoo. The bed is small with just one pillow. The mattress was very firm (normal in Japan), but was comfortable. The sheets were clean and of good quality. The heater and AC worked very well. The room was very clean. For the price, it was a very good stay. IMPORTANT: the front desk is not staffed after 2200, so you need to make sure you check in before 2200, or you won't be able to check in until the next day. I'd stay again given the circumstances.

We came to Okinawa for scuba diving, and chose this hotel because of its location. We were looking for a basic hotel, and Hotel Sunset American turned out to be a great choice. The room was small and basic, but clean and in good condition. We had everything we needed, but nothing extra. There is free access to laundry facilities (washers, laundry soap, and dryers), which is really convenient! The staff were exceptionally friendly. Normally, there is no daily room cleaning. We paid a small extra fee on a couple of days to get cleaning in the middle of the week. You get clean towels every day (included in the room price), but daily room cleaning is extra. They were replacing the A/C units and making other renovations during our stay. It should be even nicer in future. We only wish the room had 2 chairs instead of just 1.

The Hotel was completely under renovation and the Stairwell and the Halls ways where full with Construction equipment and supplies. I couldn't even find the Hotel at first because there were NO signs saying the name of the Hotel. The Whole building was covered with scaffolding and a blue tarp. The only way to find were the Hotel was to contact the front desk and Ask them where they are located by telephone. I had to get my friend from the Gyro's restaurant around the corner to tell me were exactly they were located.By the way it was just around the corner from the Gyro's restaurant. Being that the Hotel was right across the Sunabe seawall in Chatan the PARKING conditions was not good at all. There is a dive shop in the same area and parking is very limited. I would recommend having the Hotel assign parking spots to each customer when checking into the Hotel.

這家位置離美國村有距離，不太能步行過去，地點位於住宅區，所以附近沒什麼飲食、購物店家，是只有一間白天開的沖繩麵，與幾家晚上開的酒吧，最近的超市要走20分鐘，或是走到大馬路就有連鎖餐廳、超商。飯店有九個車位，不能預約，沒車位就得停堤防旁路邊，但傍晚酒吧客人多，所以要提早來找車位。櫃檯是印度人，所以英文溝通ok，但只到晚上十點。面海房間正對西方，離海岸堤防很近，可以看到很棒夕陽景色，但晚上海浪聲會蠻大的，還有早晚會有附近美軍基地做一段時間飛行訓練，噴射戰鬥機聲音極大，不怕吵的可當作特別體驗。臥室清潔ok，浴室的清潔很乾淨，應該是清潔人員是日本人的關係，玻璃、牆壁沒水垢，沐浴乳、洗髮精算特別，使用後香味、觸感不錯。熱水偏燙水壓偏弱，所以容易造成熱水器熄火，建議一起開洗臉盆維持點火。微波爐、小烤箱放置在三樓的樓梯間，無製冰機，也有自助洗衣間。這家推薦給想看夕陽美景、聽海浪聲、與愛衝浪的遊客(旁邊就有潛水店、酒吧)，不適合愛逛街、吃餐廳的。

시설은 약간 오래되었지만 굉장히 깨끗하게 관리되어있었습니다. 다이빙하느라 조식이 필요없어서 나에겐 적합했고, 1층에서 수건을 자유롭게 갖다 쓸 수 있어서 더욱 편리했습니다. 프론트도 너무나 친절하고 요청사항을 잘 들어주셨습니다.잘때 파도소리가 자장가로 들렸고 비데가 있어서 만족스러웠습니다~~
