Safe, affordable, friendly staff, average rooms

Stayed for one night as a layover on our way to Sa Pa. I’m sure most hotels in the area are exactly the same, it was clean and tidy but the bed was so rock hard we could barely sleep. Also asked for two extra pillows and were only given one that was very lumpy. The shower was also difficult to maintain the temperature and not ideal. However the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, they offer to store your luggage there while you head off on other trips to Ha Long, Sapa, etc, they made us breakfast to take on our early morning bus and it felt very safe there. Despite being within the main area of Old Town it was quiet in the room. For the price we paid it did the job but given the bed and shower, I am glad we didn’t stay longer.

We were not able to stay in this Hotel when we check in at 11pm. as our room wasn't ready. Apparently, the bathroom was not working. However, the front desk staff was great and vey helpful to organise another hotel/room, without extra cost. The only downfall was that our original booking had the breakfast included. In which we were not able to have it in the new hotel.

Pleasant Stay

I chose this hotel as it is near to the Bus Terminal of my Sapa Trip. But location is not so ideal as you need to walk around 5mins to get to the lake or the central of the Old Quarter. The picture of the room looked new but actually their room looked old. Spacious room given a boutique hotel but bathroom is small. Breakfast was good though and the staff are friendly.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, booking taxis for me etc. Breakfast was very nice with lots of choice of cold buffet or cooked food included in the price. I expected a seperate restaurant and terrace from the description - which I either didn't find/wasn't directed to or they didn't have, though the location is so good you don't need it. I had a single room, and it was comfortable and clean, with good air con, fridge and toiletries, but the room was quite old and in need of redecoration. Overall I enjoyed my stay

We really love our staying at Goldenmoon Hotel Hanoi . The location is really center, the staff are always helpful and friend ( Jay and Rossa . They also know more about many places to see and a trip to Halong Bay which was arranged by them so wonderful. We loved it and sure we will comeback

Lovely gesture

We had a lovely stay in Hanoi, the staff were friendly and very accommodating. They gave us a small gift as we were leaving which was a completely unexpected and beautiful gesture. Hotel was convenient and there was a good range of food for breakfast. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Biggest bed in history

The stay was great. The staff was always present and helpful and let us store our bags one day when we were passing through even though it was before our actual booked nights. And the bed was the size of two full size beds pushed together. It was awesome.

Lovely little hotel, centrally located

I’d booked this place based on the great reviews and overall it didn’t disappoint. The staff are really helpful-whether it be lending chargers or giving me a packed breakfast for my early morning flight home. I hadn’t realised when i’d made the booking that the cheaper, smaller rooms for solo travellers were street facing. I’m a light sleeper, so it wasn’t great for me. The hotel was fully booked that evening so there was no scope to move rooms. The staff were really kind and gave me a free upgrade to one of the larger rooms on the other side of the hotel for my final night and it made a tremendous difference. Overall I was very pleased with my stay here. It’s centrally located and you can easily get the airport express bus to and from here for under a dollar. It drops you 4mins walk from the hotel.

We stayed for three nights at this boutique but very clean, conveniently located and friendly hotel. We booked the economy room but it was big enough for us and clean, which is all we require. The hotel is located on a street with many great authentic food places, including lots of cafes, bakeries and restaurants with English menus. It is also only a short walk to the lake and the nearby supermarket. The staff are very friendly, especially the manager, who was always happy to assist with any questions we had and always made sure we were happy with our stay. They also operate as a tour company so if you want to book any tours, they can do that as well. Finally the breakfast was also very nice, with a mix of made to order mains and buffet selection of fruits, breads and other finger food.

Nice hotel. Convenient to shopping district

Stayed there two different nights, one before and one after a Halong bay tour. The place was great value for the money. The breakfast was included and very good. They helped me arrange cars to and from the airport for each stay. It is situation in the old part of Hanoi near the Water Puppet Theatre and plenty of shopping etc. I will definitely stay there again when I go to Hanoi.

Friendly hotel to explore Hà Nội

The staff were welcoming and helpful. The location was perfect for exploring the old town and a short walk to the rest of the city. It was exactly what a hotel should be, a peaceful bed to return to after a long day. Oh and I recommend the breakfast!

Nice hotel in a great location

We stayed 3 nights before heading north for 5 nights, and then returning for an additional night. Each time the staff made us feel welcome and confortable.
It's located in the old quarter, walking distance to everything. Not too close to the party area, but not too far away that you can't easily join in.

I have stayed for 3 nights in single room of this hotel. The hotel locates in good location. Staffs are very helpful and supportive. Room is clean and comfort. Just only 1 disadvantage is noisy from Pub opposite of the hotel during night and vehicle horn sound during morning.

awesome hotel location

the hotel is right in the Old Quarter area.. on the coffee street and close to all the places of interest in the area. We could walk to the puppet show, Hoam Kiem lake etc. also, the chill out places at night are all in the same area and easily accessible.

The hotel staff was very nice. The lady at the reception was super sweet and helpful, very attentive to what we needed.

We had booked 2 rooms for 4 of us and one of our rooms was updated to a suite which was really nice and spacious. Breakfast was normal and quite okay considering the room rates!

The only negative part was the stuffy smell in the lobby area of the 2nd floor where we stayed which we experienced during the stay.

Clean and centrally located in the Old Quarters

The staff was helpful and cheerful. Building was well renovated and maintained. Windows and door were of good quality; minimum street noise. Many restaurants and coffee shops are within walking distance. I walked to and around Hoan Kiem Lake every mornings. The hotel is head and shoulder above many others in the area. (I travel to Hanoi often and stay at different hotels.) The breakfast area is small with only three tables.

Stayed here 3 nights, nice clean budget hotel. Perfect location for visiting old quarter. Staff were all very friendly and nice. Room was good size with all the usual amenities, bathroom was also nicely done with marble tiled walls etc, shower was good, but you need to remember to switch on water heater, switch outside bathroom. I think the bracket for the shower head was fitted by someone very tall, you had to stand on your tip toes for the water to hit your head. Breakfast was basic but ok. Staff organised taxi for us to airport, price was good value too, no over inflated prices. Definetly good value and would happily stay here again.

Nice hotel close to everything

Just got back from Hanoi. Stayed here for 4 days and was very happy with our choice. The staff was very polite and helpful. An English speaking staff is always there in the lobby. The room was clean and quiet, but the beds were a little hard. They should add an extra mirror and waste basket to the room. The free breakfast was good, but limited as compared to larger hotels. I liked the chicken rice noodle. My mom had a special food request and the staff was able to provide that. Location was good, in old quarters, walking distance to the lake, electric tour buses, food, and shops. Many shops and restaurants on the same street.

Hanoi by the Golden Moon

Location was just removed from shopping district yet within a short walk. We consider that ideal. There was still a lot of city action right out front with lots of interest and places to eat. All of the staff were great - very pleasant and helpful. We would stay here again without hesitation.

Newly renovated hotel and rooms are fantastic, clean,beautiful, comfortable and chic. Staff super friendly and helpful with whatever you need. Breakfast great. Located just minutes away from the Hoan Kiem Lake and all the action. Amazing value for your money, book this hotel you won't regret it!

Hôtel réservé pour une nuit seulement entre deux déplacements au Vietnam. Arrivés tardivement nous avons eu du mal à trouver la sonnette extérieure pour prévenir de notre arrivée ! Sinon l’hôtel est largement suffisant pour une nuit, propre et literie confortable et proche de notre lieu de départ de bus.

The biggest single room in Asia. Normally with this price, single roo. is miserable but this hotel offers reasonable space for a single room. Customer service is at its finest level and all staff are very kind anf ready to help. Their breakfast is amazing. Especially their pho is the best in Hanoi. Try chicken pho for breakfast. You will not believe this place is hotel not a reataurant.

スタッフの対応はとても良かったです。

通り沿いの部屋で眺めが良かったです。
しかし、通り向こうのカフェから大音量でクラブミュージックが深夜まで流れてうるさかったです。
また、深夜のチェックアウトだった為、フロントでタクシーを呼んでもらったのですが、大変態度が悪い上、到着時料金をぼったくろうとしました。
タクシーは自分で呼ぶか、会社名を指定した方が良いようです。

ロケーションはとてもいいと思います。
私が泊まった部屋は2階の窓なしで（窓有りにしたつもりでした）扉の鍵が壊れかけてて毎回開けるのに苦労しました。
ロビーの女性はにこやかでとても親切でしたがお部屋がとても残念でした。
あと1階がキッチンになってたのですが朝早くから話し声と食器の音がうるさくて眠れませんでした。
