Service is great and staffs are very friendly. Service is one of the best Sheraton I have stayed around the world. Room and linens are clean. Bathroom is big enough but the arrangement can be better, a minor design issue.

Location is in North Hsinchu which is far from the old Hsinchu downtown. Having visited Hsinchu many times over the last 18 years, I think this is the best hotel overall in Hsinchu and Ambassador hotel, located in the old downtown Hsinchu, being second best.

Best one stop all around wedding

The only thing I regret is not having been able to visit the spa/pool area nor having tried the breakfast buffet, due to the fact we were there for a wedding taking place at the hotel, and thus celebration was the top priority. Yet, everything else—in room dining included—was first class.

Hotel is architecturally very nice. Rooms are fantastic. Probably the best property in Hsinchu. The food options at the hotel are a bit limited. Service is a bit disappointing. Had issues with laundry. This property also does not recognize Bonvoy status and does not award nights or points toward status when booking through Hotels.com.

I stayed 2 days to visit relatives. The location is centrally located to many restaurants and amenities. Hotel staff was kind. I had laundry that needed to be wash and they were able to accommodate without charging me extra for speed service. However it took some persuasion. I would stay here again.

The Sheraton is one of the best hotels in HsinChu. I have stayed there many times and each time is equally excellent. For me, the location is good because it is very close to the high speed rail and highways. Service is always excellent. The main breakfast buffet is always pretty good. Overall, it is the only hotel I stay at in HsinChu.

5 Star Hotel with 2 Star Service

This is a 5 star hotel all the way in terms of physical appearance, rooms and restaurants.
The check in was more than 20 minutes and there was not that people there. There was no defined line to check in so some that arrived first were not the first to be helped. I sat in the lounge for 30 minutes before anyone asked me if I wanted something to drink.

We are regular visitors to Hsinchu, Sheraton is always our first choice.
Normally we only stay for weekend, only can contribute on breakfast & swimming pool.
The breakfast contains mostly oriental food, they have good variety. In a busy day, the table rotation might not be fast, you would have to wait less than 10 minutes to get a table.
There are 2 swimming pool, one for kid with 95cm depth, and another one with 135cm depth. It's always quiet and not much people, but in our last stay, there was very crowded and we could not enjoy much the water.

The hotel is very comfortable and modern. However, the breakfast service needs to improve. The food options at breakfast are excellent, however they don't replenish the food properly (syrup for French toast always completely out)and the warm dishes were actually cold (cold scrambled eggs). I had breakfast there twice and both times I experienced the same issue.

Courteous Front Desk Staff

We arrived to have no clue about telecommunications. Luckily their front desk staff was very patient and helpful. He gave us information in details, as trivial as directions to numbers of convenience stores and how to purchase phone cards to make local and long distance calls. We really appreciated the assistance which subsequently helped us accomplished the millions of phone calls we needed to make.

The hotel was booked through Orb--z with a special price as if we had made the booking locally on our own it would have cost us no less than $400 USD and we got the beautiful top of the class spaciousroom with ADA for less than $150.

The only downside was that they got the billing wrong and charged on my credit card for the room while Orb--z already charged it online. I had to call them and asked them to look into it. It took them a whole day to finally figured it out with the travel agency. When they responded and called me back the staff was not as courteous as their front office. I suppose the training they received was different. Nevertheless, I did get credited back the additional charge so there was no more issue.

I will definitely stay there again when return to visit Hsinchu ~

The hotel is nice and clean, the bed is comfortable. However, the nearby of the hotel is not very interesting, and the city doesn't got metro system, so make the tourist difficult to get to the hotel.

Uncomfortable with front desk service

Just informed by hotel when I checked in, the front desk said that only double bed room was available, however I booked twins bed room and received the confirmation from Expedia already. Then , the front desk said no alternative because the twins bed room were fully booked. This situation made me and my friend embrassment and uncomfortable!
My comment are the improvement of communication between hotel and Expedia. The strengthen of staff's communication/presentation skills and flexibility in handling with customer's request in future ! Many thanks!

Best hotel in Hsinchu

Very nice modern hotel with all the top level services. Very good breakfast buffet to get started in the day. There are restaurants and fast food burger places and cafes round the neighborhood, as well as 24 hour convenience stores. There is also an electronics store within 1 block if you need a last minute add-on to your laptop. Very nice touch with fresh fruit on each floor for guests.

More ways to travel than just taxi

Hotel was a bit farther than expected from Taoyuan Airport. We took a taxi to hotel. When we asked about taking a bus and train back to airport, receptionist was adamant that we can only take a taxi. In the morning, the doorman was more helpful and informed us on how to take a shuttle bus to high speed rail station to the train station near Taoyuan Airport. Saved us some money and allowed us to go to Taipei city too.

Overall stay was good, only thing is the location, you will need to take bus 5900 from train station or high speed train station to hotel. overstay i was my family walk from station to hotel on every out-thing take about 25min. it will be good if the hotel can have a shuttle bus from train station to hotel every 1 or 1.5 hour.

Overall this is a very nice hotel. However, the restaurant and food service was not good. When I arrived late at night, the room service meal was particularly bad. The food arrived very cold. They made attempts to correct, but it was just not prepared well. The breakfast was also not very good. It is a typical buffet style breakfast, but each day the food was cold again. Service was sub-par. Very unusual for the Sheratons I have stayed at in Asia. Normally they are quite good.

Great western hotel for biz in Hsinchu

Hotel is in very good condition, staff is mostly friendly and concierge is very supportive in getting you a taxi and arranging to get it paid and billed to your room so you don't have to have a lot of cash for taxis. Internet speed is excellent and room is very comfy. Neighborhood is very dull and without the nearby 24hr McDonald's would have been problematic. I would stay there again.

I think the conditions of the hotel is excellent, a very pleasant stay with excellent customer services on arrival and stay. They responded for any housekeeping and other requests very quickly, The modern bathroom is excellent with both shower and bathtub, and water pressure is good. There is always taxi at the front door, and the location is so convenient to restaurants and other convenience stores. It is one of those hotel you will go back in future, and you enjoy your stay there.

Awesome, new Sheraton platform hotel. I saw a similar style in Shanghai with swanky rooms, Satellite TV with more than a few English channels (rare in Asia), great wireless internet connection. Location is close to many Family Mart's and restaurants, staff speaks English if you're Mandarin is rusty. Airport Taxi is $1300 to hotel.
