When you arrive the hotel front / reception is very impressive.
The rooms are a little tired and need updating.
The fridge in the room ( Room 2205 )doesn’t get cold.

The tables in the breakfast/dining area need cleaning properly with soapy water / detergent - instead the staff just seem brush any remains/crumbs from the previous diners onto the floor.

Also the prices in the bar/restaurant are quite high meaning that very few people use it to dine or for alcohol - surely it would be better to reduce the prices and get more people through the door - it’s simple economics.

Unsanitary rooms and poor service. Our room had visible mold, dirty bathroom surfaces, water damage, and clear signs of long-term wear. We were moved, but the same issues remained, showing this was not isolated.

Service and accountability were lacking—concerns were not handled with urgency, and management offered only repeated room changes instead of real fixes. We were forced to check out early and relocate at our own expense.

This is not about preference; it’s about cleanliness, maintenance, and responsibility. For a hotel at this price point, this was unacceptable.

I had a reservation for 2 nights , room that I was given , was dirty and infested with roaches, after complaining they moved me to another room which looked better , but it was next to a wedding and the music played till 2 am at night and I really couldn’t sleep, ended up checking out after one night , will not recommend this property at all .

The resort had potential, but my stay was disappointing due to several issues. The WiFi connection was unreliable, constantly cutting in and out, and my room key stopped working almost every day, which was frustrating. Additionally, there was only one hand towel provided, and the overall room amenities were below expectations. Unfortunately, I did not find the experience up to standard.

We booked Radisson Blu for a night and the stay was terrible. First of all they made us wait for more than 15mins for check-in and even at 245pm were saying room is not ready and no time commitment when it will be ready. Post that they assigned a room which was decaying and instead of a supposed lake view had view of garbage. Bad experience

The entire hotel was super crowded due to a marriage event being hosted. Multiple areas were inaccessible due to the event. The event also blocked the other guests cars.
The front desk was rude on the checkin and we had to wait for a day to get adjacent rooms. The issue resolved only after talking to the duty manager. Duty manager was understanding and helped resolve. There were trash cans right opposite our rooms.

Overall, it ruined 1 day of our 3 day trip. Breakfast and the dining staff was good.

First the good things: staff was prompt and humble, evening cultural hi-tea set up was entertaining.

But won't repeat this hotel for below things:

1. Most inconvenient hotel for tourists: they don't allow autos inside the hotel and don't have any shuttle to take you from the main gate to hotel lobby. So you have to walk up the hill to the lobby. In city like Udaipur where half of the attractions are not reachable by car and autos are the only option to roam around. It was so frustrating especially fory mom who can't walk much.

2. Uncleaned bathrooms: on the outside hotel looks presitine, but bathroom were terrible. It felt like we are residing in a 1-2 star hotel

Rooms are not Updated. Iron had mold on it and shower knobs fell out and no one fixed it. The manager of this property isn't a nice person even though we've booked 6 rooms at about $500 USD a night they didn't care about us not having hot water to shower or even a shower knob. Wow from outside but soon as you enter in property drama start.Staff look overtired and customer service don’t have enough staff.View from our first room window wad waste land and whole window seal covered with pigeons poo .All night people from wedding reception making loud noises so not sleep well.Amazing property and nice touch that they do evening coffee and tea with cultural activities.We were looking forward to stay at this property and enjoy but they have ruined our holiday.Upstairs restaurant has fantastic view but food and service is not good and we probably had worse breakfast in our 2 months holiday.We stayed in deoghar in 3 /4 star hotel and there breakfast,restaurant food was amazing and service is like 10 star .When you choose to stay in this kind of hotel you have high expectations and Radisson are failing every time,in last 2 months we probably stayed 10 Radisson property and they are not doing well but this hotel is the worst experience we had .

Everything was perfect at the property except the noise after hours (after 11 pm). Wedding guests were allowed to make noise to a degree where we couldn't fall asleep until 4 am. This is completely unacceptable and unfair to other guests at property. The walls are thin and we could also hear guests talking loud at midnight 4 rooms away from us. We had to let them know to keep the noise low. Didn't expect this paying top $ for the stay.

I would have definitely given a 5 star rating otherwise.

At first we thought it would be a great experience as the check-in procedure was smooth, property condition was excellent but then the entire stay was horrible for us. Specially the service part, we asked the roll away bed to be placed in one of the room which took them 4 hours to provide. We called numerous time for the same but at the end we have to asked one of the floor man from the floor for assistance to install the roll away bed and hygiene procedure what we saw at swimming pool area is very unsafe and completely unacceptable. We were party of 14 people who used the pool and after that went to our rooms, and we saw them folding the same used towel and kept it there to be use again for new guest. We have recorded the person folding the same towel and showed them and complaint to manager upon check out but they did not believed us and did not took any actions. I would never stay here again and will definitely reach out to corporate about the same.

I recently stayed at the Radisson Blu Palace Resort & Spa, Udaipur, and I regret to say that my experience was far from satisfactory.

Upon arrival, I was immediately disappointed with the room. The first room I was given had a terrible, musty smell that made it very uncomfortable to stay in. I raised the issue with the reception and no response for about 2 hours, and they moved me to another room. However, this replacement room was no better—there was no air conditioning working or heater, no good toilet flush, very dirty bathroom. The cooling system was completely ineffective, and the situation worsened when the hot water in the bathroom was only lukewarm at best and not working shower.

The lack of basic amenities like proper heating or cooling and nasty bathrooms were frustrating. When I brought these concerns up to the front desk, the response was unhelpful and dismissive. The staff didn’t seem interested in resolving the issues, and I was given no alternatives or compensations for the inconveniences. I requested early checkout and I was informed there was no cancellation policy, they were ignoring Expedia’s call since beginning of my stay, which felt very unfair as they don’t want to give refund for my remaining stay/early checkout or better service as we paid insane prices.

Overall, my stay was disappointing due to the lack of proper room maintenance, poor customer service, and a general disregard for guest comfort. I would not recommend this hotel at all. Thank you!

Bad choice of hotel.

Worst choice of Hotel I made during my trip planning. Firstly the reception was extremely poor when we checked in as they were overwhelmed by a wedding group which was checking out. The 1st room allocated to us had so many amenities missing and upon requesting them to send the same it took them over 1.5 hours.

At night we had to request for a change of room as our neighbouring room had a very noisy family. Before, I forget no privacy as everyone can hear you from room to room as the walls are not sound proof.

The new room was a junior suite but lacked the ambiance and had no view at all. It is located behind a few walls which are facing the pool. Again no amenities and they even forgot to restock fresh towels the following day.

There was not enough hot water for 2 people or one has to wait a while for the water to heat - not sure what heating system they use. The shower drain were clogged so the bathroom was always flooded with water.

However, the breakfas choice was good and the spa was OK.

Upon check out we paid and left, the reception and cashier didn't have any greetings or farewell for us. We didn't we complain to them about our stay but they provided an extremely cold reception and didn't bother asking about our stay etc.

Overall I would not recommend this hotel to anyone as its running down and they have not done much to keep up to Radisson Blu standard. The staff morals are too low hence, no good reception during arrival and departure etc.

One of the worst experiences we have had at a “5 star” hotel. We got married here 10 years ago and were excited to reminisce on our grand day. But the hotel has changed a lot since. It was not very clean. Most of the hotel staff were not helpful or pleasant to work with. The bedding was dirty when we first got to our room. We asked for housekeeping to come and change it but instead the guy handed over the sheets to my wife at the door expecting her to change them herself. We called again and someone else came and changed the sheets for us.
Then later on the door handle came off. We called to get some one to repair it. Later the next morning my wife was coming to breakfast with my kid when the handle came off again and she got stuck inside the room. It took a bit for someone to come and when they did they were laughing about the situation. The marble floor was damaged when they opened it.
Breakfast was underwhelming from other properties. The staff did not get 4 out of the 6 (ghee, 2x dosa, 2x parathas, uttapam) items we asked for and even the manager didn’t get us anything when we asked him.
This was a poor service and managing team at the hotel. And very poor maintenance and upkeep.
It should not be a 5 star hotel and I definitely would not recommend it.

Avoid this place at all costs. The service is an absolute disaster. I reported my broken room phone issue on day one, and despite following up over five times, nothing was done. I even had to use the restroom phone to call the reception—pathetic, right?

There was no hot water in the room during the entire morning hours of my stay. I complained to the front desk both days, but surprise—still no action. It’s clear they don’t care about customer satisfaction. All you’ll get is endless apologies with zero effort to resolve your issues.

For the exorbitant rates they charge, this place is a joke. Honestly, even an OYO would have provided better service than this so-called palace “hotel.” Don’t waste your money here.

HORRIBLE property. They charged us 500 rupees for a bottle of bisleri water when we were sick. We saw cockroaches and spiders in our bathroom. No one came to clean our room after we asked them to after we were sick. Our door was wide open one night when we came back and ended ip getting fly infestation. Everything is EXTREMELY overpriced. It looks very nice but actually sucks and is very uncomfortable to live in. Our room felt damp. Literally we would get into our sheets and it felt soooo wet. Our friends had a horrible experience as well. They had to switch rooms 3 times and the 3rd time they had bed bugs. My friend had bug bits all over her face and management did not care. They basically laughed in her face.

Liked the overall hotel outside architecture and lobby area. Service staff response was very quick and helpful. The Neelmahal and roof top restaurant ambiance, service and food was awesome.
Did not like - gave only 2 key cards but we were 3 adults and they refused a 3rd key. The key cards stopped working twice in my 3 day stay. Refused to reheat the previous days food that we ate from the hotel restaurant. The shower hot water was changing between hot and cold. The power outlet face plate was loosely mounted.

Room temperature thermostat was not working
Three time they sent so called engineers to fix it but no one could it
They even didn’t allow to transfer to another room
Mattress was at least 6-8 inch smaller than bed frame which is biggest safety flow for babies or even for adults during sleep
Iron, sleeper and laundry bag was missing - looks like no one checked / cleaned room before allocating us
Manager was nice guy but without any authority
No one picks up phone from outside numbers
Covid social distancing during check was biggest joke - check in staff was ignoring who is waiting in line n instead of that handling those who were jumping line

Reading the previous reviews I was very scarred to stay at Radisson Blu in Udaipur and face a disappointment - but I decided to take my chances and I couldn`t be happier. The property itself is a attraction, very very beautiful. The service was top notch and, I would say, sometimes even over-caring.
Amazing breakfast (and very good restaurant at the terrace - in which I had one of the best meals in all Rajasthan).
I really don`t understand why the previous reviews are so bad, its seems that it not even the same hotel.

Our room was very clean and well appointed. We had a lake view which was nice. The AC was a welcome relief as it was pretty hot in Udaipur. The food was top notch. While you may want to experience some of the local dining places, the food right here in the hotel was wonderful!
Some of the earlier reviews mentioned trouble with hot water, we had no problems. You had to leave the water running for a bit, but there was plenty of hot water to shower with etc.
The food and beverage manager (Mr. Shubham) was welcoming and very helpful. Two members of the staff really deserve a special mention here as well. Tanuja was extremely helpful when we first arrived and got us dinner outside of the regular dining hours! She also was helpful recommending a few places to visit while in the area.
Bhanwar went way above and beyond in helping a couple of Americans feel at home while staying in her city. We cannot thank her enough

Best hospitality ever experienced.

Amazing from start to finish.
Can't recommend highly enough be it for business or pleasure. We had a few bad nights while travelling India and checked in here to catch up on some work and to escape the madness that is India.
Every single member of the team at the hotel couldn't do enough for us to make our stay one of the most memorable of any time spent in a hotel and not just in india but throughout the world.
Have to give some extra special thanks to Bhanwar. She went above and beyond her role from helping us navigate our days out sightseeing to recommendations of food and drinks in the hotel restaurants.

Breakfast, snacks and cocktails by the pool and dinner in each of the 3 restaurants all exceeded our expectations as we kept expecting the standards to slip somewhere but they never did.

The only thing that did disappoint me about my stay was the use of plastic straws and drink stirrers.
I discussed this with one member of staff (Parveen) who was also very concerned and passionate about this problem along with other environmental issues.
So hopefully management are looking into changing this unnecessary part of the hotels carbon footprint.

Phots online are deceiving. The grounds are truly lovely. The rest of this place is a Radisson through and through. The rooms are outdated, beds uncomfortable, showers moldy, and the service I experienced at check-in was the worst I've had in my 15 years of using hotels solo. Also don't bother paying extra for a 'lake view' room. There is a lake, in the distance beyond some trees, shrubbery and a whole lot of nothing. It's a massive waste of extra money. I won't be staying here again - though will happily come back to Udaipur, the town is great.
