We wouldn’t even take a shower there due to how nasty the bathroom tub was.
Which for me was hard for a Two night stay. We checked the beds as we always do and no bugs was there or no bed bug spots or no roaches came which was a plus but they need to use bleach or something to get those bathrooms cleaned better. Staff was really nice, restaurant next door is a hard no but it was the only thing around.
Hotel just needs to be updated and deeply cleaned

Room had bugs and was super dirty. Staff said to contact expidea for a refund as i checked out 30 minutes after checking in due to health concerns of how dirty the room was. I provided photo evidence which didn't help. Very disappointed. Wont be staying at super 8 and wont be booking through expidea again.In the end i got credited $25.... through expidea.... i didnt wven stay the night and told id be refunded when contacting expidea. Never again.

First off, the gentleman that worked the front desk was very unfriendly and acted as though I was disturbing him. Second, We missed the info that there was a 100.00 deposit for this room. I informed him that we didn’t have an extra amount of money for the deposit. He dismissed us and continued to load his car with computer equipment. You would think that they would welcome the business considering there were only 3 cars in the parking lot and one being the fri t desk agent. I would not recommend and I will not return.

tolet wasnt clean correctly black stuff handing from inside top of bowl bedding staind and had burn holes all furniture was very badly worn and scratched ..no soap or shampoo no coffee in room ..so called breakfast was toast, waffle ,apple or cereal .and coffee ..nothing else ..carpet was falling apart ..dryer didint work..absolutly no security except for local law enforcement would drive thru parking lot ..and when you eat bad food or all the drugs constantly having to breath in all thru propert ..my case was it didint help my contents in my stomach to stay down and i got charged and extra 20 dollar to have bedding cleaned than was in very bad shape to begin with ..thank you hotel .com for the recomendation and false pic of property ..wont be stay at and super 8 ever again or use hotel.com ..guess when i go to arizona in next month or so ..you can both think about why the internet cant be trusted ..and why you all will be out of work soon

When my husband and I arrived my husband did the check in and it went fine. I noticed the furniture was stained and shrugged it off.
We got in our room and it all went down hill. My expectations were low for the price of this hotel. But immediately my husband (who owns and manages rental properties) says “it smells like pest spray in here, don’t put anything down.”
Then he pointed out liquid residue on many surfaces and we found a roach in the toilet.
So we went back downstairs. The front desk was reasonable until the moment my husband took our stuff back to the car. Then he was rude and pushy to me and so dismissive. And now they won’t respond to Expedia so that I can have my night refunded.
He tried to play dumb about having roaches but the strong smell and humidity made it clear it had been sprayed that day.
We went and stayed at the Hyatt. This place was too disgusting.

Do NOT waste your money!! More bodily fluid stains than a horror movie on every item in the rooms. Falling apart, carpeting soaked on the main floor, if you love the devils lettuce they have ample aromas of marijuana to make you happy, urine stench almost covers up the marijuana odor. Safe place to burn in a fire with the smoke detectors covered in plastic!! The only positive thing I can say is they were quick to refund our money

The conditions of the rooms were so bad we didn’t stay and demanded a full refund. I use a mobility scooter and going to room the carpet was so wet it was splashing. The one room the mattresses were so stained it was disgusting. I will never try to stay at a Super 8 ever again. We could even smell marijuana in the halls and in the rooms. And I’d have to say shame on you if you book anyone in that hotel.

Upon check in we found crusty old towel on bathroom floor and one “clean” towel that had grease on it like mechanic wiped his hands. Holes in the walls like something was ripped out, cigarette burns on blankets, yellow stains on all sheets and pillow cases. Asked front desk to get some clean towels and he made us bring towels from our room to so called laundry and said let’s see if we can find something clean. At this point I went to store and bought towels. Rooms are very outdated and heavily used- broken tub drain/rusted out, nasty faucet handles, nasty carpeting, back/side door doesn’t close at all. Anyways it was terrible and won’t be staying at any Motel 8 ever again.

Super 8 Should Be Ashamed!!

No one was at the desk or in the hallways when we arrived. Had to call a number that no one answered. We left and came back to a rude man who didn’t want to get up off of his chair.
When we did not have an ice bucket and had a dirty bath towel, instead of giving them to me, he walked me back to my room to confirm that I had no ice bucket and felt my dirty towel wasn’t dirty enough to replace! What?????
It appeared that a man was asked to leave the building and maybe had been living there. He had his trucked backed into the back entrance loading through out the night. He had the door propped open so that anyone could enter the building!
Super 8 chain should be ashamed of this location. Do better!
Also, the smoke detector had plastic over it to allow the previous occupants to smoke undetected. Nice job cleaning the room if you didn’t notice this. Wow, just wow!

A filthy dump! As you walk through the ever present cloud of pot smoke, you'll notice how disgusting the carpets are--my wife would not take off her shoes except to go to bed. Sheets were washed, but stained. Comforter had cigarette burns.The breakfast area was so grimy, we left without eating.

Where do I start??? While I understand that any hotel room less than $100 a night isn’t going to be a palace, I do expect cleanliness & working equipment. When we checked in, we were given a key to room 234, which when we opened the door was an occupied room with a woman & a couple kids. It took several minutes to get that worked out as the check-in employee didn’t know the room was booked. The lobby & hallways smelled very musty! The carpet was stained & trash bags were outside several doors.

Once we arrived in our new room, while it was a smoking room, the bedding had burn holes & just smelled musty. The phone did not work for me to call the front desk & the bathtub is as stained brown. There was also hair that did not belong to either me or my friend on the night stand & bathroom counter.

It’s safe to say that even though I have no reason to visit East Moline/Silvis again, I won’t be staying at Super 8.

I called ahead to reserve early check in for my room and was told it was $15 and I could check in at 1. I got there around 1:20 and the room was still dirty. The lock on the door was broken so we had to be escorted to our room and let in by staff. Then we were told that it would be fixed it they don’t know when so privacy was not an option for us. As a veteran with ptsd having a broken lock was extremely nerve wracking for me. Additionally, it took them 30 minutes to make the tv work. Once this whole mess was done it was already 6 pm. We’ve had no comfort and paid for early check in. The room had safety trip hazards and the place was rundown, the “breakfast” consisted of a couple of oatmeal packets and the option to make a waffle. No milk juice machine broken, no bread or toast and a tiny bit of coffee. I expect a full refund including my $15 early check in fee.

If you have a cat, they don't think it's a pet

We booked the room because they said pet friendly. When I walked in I noticed a bad smell in the lobby, but was willing to overlook because I was exhausted.
When I said I had a cat with me, I was expecting the pet fee, but the person behind the couter said no pets.
I tried to argue that the cat is essentially self contained. I had a portable little box, his food and even a waterbowl.
No cats. I even stated that a cat is a pet, and if cats are not allowed, it should say DOG friendly, not PET friendly.

I could not check in. I had to find another place for the night.

It seems to be just alright hotels in this area. Nothing superb and makes you want to come back. Or, makes you refer colleagues to the area. I was there on business. Arrived a few hours early and was charged an early check in fee, which has never happened before. I was given a disabled room. It was located in the back of the hotel. No good lighting and right next to the garbage containers. When I would get off at night, there were no lights back there and sometimes people would be hanging out smoking back there. But the people were friendly. The rooms are outdated, but clean (I still had to clean the bathroom before I used it). No amenities were there. Small fridge and older microwave available. Not complaining, as I was just there to shower and sleep. Was out 16 hours of the day. Otherwise, you get what you pay for.

I like the hotel location because of a good restaurant and a gas station nearby. The front desk and cleaning staff were friendly and helpful. I feel sorry for the staff because of the hotel being in such poor condition. My room has only one outlet that worked. No trash can, some lights didn’t work. The bathroom door was cracked and faucets were rusty and old.
I asked for a trash can and was given a plastic bag. Requested an iron and didn’t get it.
Breakfast buffet is only waffles and oranges. Some yogurt. The sign in front of the hotel didn’t work.

The room was clean & the bed was comfortable. The TV sits too low to be seen from the bed. The bathroom light switch is outside the bathroom (by 5 ft.), the shower curtain rod was not mounted correctly, and there is no nightlight of any kind (we opened the door to the microwave to get low light as all other lighting was too bright & the bathroom light shined straight onto the bed).

The breakfast is a continental breakfast (im being kind) w/ cereal, hot waffle... but the oj machine was out of service.... syrup was empty, no milk, and only coffee to drink). Fresh apple & oranges.

Staff were alerted to the lack of acrrual consumables, but had nothing to serve & appeared to not care. People left the breakfast room filthy & staff didnt clean up. I appreiated the lack of bedbugs, but the carpet in the room and hallways are old & need replacement.

We won't go to this super8 again.

I travel often by myself & do stay in similar priced hotels often.

I had NOO idea I accidentally booked a smoking room, they still exist?

There was no one at check in at 4pm, also a strange man who did not respond to “hi, are you waiting to check in too”, and a tv that was going in and out of service.

No elevator. Or iron in the room.

Cleanliness was poor. I’m pretty sure there was a man’s bodily fluid on the picture above the bed. Stains on the sheets.

Bed was actually comfortable after I reluctantly crawled in, did not want to walk barefoot in the room.

Rooms in Super8 East Moline are reasonably clean, but inconsistent and kinda dingy because of age of equipment and furnishings. Mismatched and old. Some rooms have a set of soaps and towels, some don’t.
Staircases and hallways could use carpet shampoo and some good scrubbing, not to mention the side entrance door which I would recommend not touching the handle.
But, what to expect from Super8?…

Horrible stay not only was my room not cleaned when I checked in but there was an odor of urine in room and when I contacted front desk they said they didn't have another room available which was a lie cause there was only 3 cars in parking lot one was mine one was the employees and the third one was either another guest or just abandoned there but when first shift came in I contacted them about the nasty room I was in and the heffer working said it was from me and if I didn't like it to leave so I did plus there keeping my deposit for it you can have it only $50 take it and buy yourself some sweat pants that aren't stained and have holes in ass smh
