I stayed at this hotel to attend a concert nearby. I arrived early and asked about early check in and was told it would be about 45 mins before my room was ready so I went to grab some food and wait. When I got back there was a line that wrapped through the lobby 3 times full of angry people because no rooms were ready and doors were opening for the concert in 30 minutes. They also offered a shuttle service but you couldn’t sign up for that until check in so the shuttle was full before we even had a chance to sign up. We got ready in the lobby bathroom and headed to the show rather than waiting. We returned at 2am and the front desk staff couldn’t even be bothered to say anything more than “sign here.” There’s construction happening and the next morning we woke up to shouting in the hallway and water pouring out of the ceiling right by the elevators. This was among the worst hotel experiences I have had.

Booked for the pool, when arrived it was under construction. No notice at the time of booking. Additionally, the a/c unit sounded like an aircraft taking off throughout the night.
Had do not disturb notice on the door and maid still barged in before we had checked out.
The staff weren’t personable.

Bring your breakfast if you're gluten free

Nice experience for an overnight. If you're there for an event at the Alliant Energy Center, take advantage of the shuttle so you don't have to pay for parking a half mile away. Beyond that, I wish the cafe would have gluten free choices available. They could contract with a certified area GF bakery for packaged safe goods. Or have the kitchen learn how to easily cook with GF protocols.

Best hotel in Madison

Our visit was fabulous. We were in town to visit family and the hotel is in a great location for food and entertainment. We love it here. Will the bartender, treats us well and the food is sensational. This place is super clean, the staff is friendly and quiet so we always rest well.

I stayed two nights with my two kids. The room was meticulously clean and we found the beds and pillows very comfortable. The pool and hot tub were a great size and were clean and functional. There were always plenty of pool towels available. The game room was a nice bonus. We ordered food from The Hub once and we were very happy with the taste and quality of the food and how thoughtfully and carefully it was packed. All the staff we encountered without exception were kind and friendly. We would absolutely choose the Sheraton again in future trips to Madison.

The staff were amazing! We had a large group there for the Badger game and was excited about the free shuttle. Although the driver was out sick the day we needed him for a ride the manager stepped in and drove our group to dinner and back. Their customer service exceeded my expectations. When I visit Madison I usually stay near the capitol, but that wasn’t available. This location is a bit further but a winner - parking was free and easy, bike share (b-cycle) dock on property, right on bike/foot path to Lake Monona and downtown. Great for morning walks and getting back and forth. Staff were also very friendly and accommodating. Rooms have a strange layout with closet in bathroom- but a minor issue

Short but sweet family visit

The check in was easy and quick. The staff greeted us as soon as we entered the lobby and it was so clean. The food was amazing and the bartender (Will) was especially attentive and made sure that we knew our way around. The adult beverages were very tasty and completed our evenings. The location was perfect for meeting with family and close to the highway. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will certainly be back.

I went to check in at 230 and was told to come back at 315. Check in was at 3:00. Once I came back I was told I wasn’t getting a king room due to a late check in! Even though I was there early. I was told that Expedia overbooked their king rooms by 30 rooms. I specifically wanted a king room and then got 2 double beds.

The hotel was nice and the bar area was good. We were attending an event that was at the Alliant Energy Center, so location perfect. I would have given a higher overall rating, but I had booked a King room through Expedia and was given a double without explanation. When I brought it up, no discount or offers were made to me.

Location was the reason we chose this property-to attend an event at Allianz Energy center. The lobby area is modern and inviting. After that, it is not what I would call Sheraton standards. I reserved a King room but received a double “Queen” which is not really that. They replaced Queen beds with full size mattresses. Our toilet wouldn’t flush, our heater was physically broken with parts laying on the floor and it was obnoxiously loud every time it kicked on. Staff was great-this just isn’t really a Sheraton level brand of product.

We stayed for 3 nights in room # 602 in December and had issue with hot water. I complained in the front desk. Technician showed up but his explanation is \"This is 6th floor and hot water will take long time and suggested to leave water running for 5 min before bathing.\" His explanation didn't make any sense. We paid lot of money but still had to take showers in luke warm water in mid december in Madison Wisconsin. Heater in the room make lot of noice, we can't even sleep. Very disappointed with Sheraton.

Told at check-in that daily housekeeping had resumed. We stayed 4 nights - housekeeping occurred only once despite our \"reminding\" front desk. Ha, ha, ha. Too many employees standing around - no help at all with luggage. Good, clean, quiet hotel. Watch prices - VERY large fluctuations during the year. Would stay again depending on cost.

Toilet in room was broken, plumber came twice, and each time stayed tor over an hour . We needed to use the bathroom on the first floor, staff member said there was nothing he could do. Didn’t offer room change, had no suggestions. Told me to call manager, when I called manager there was no voicemail, so I couldn’t leave a message. Staff member said “oh his voicemail is t set up yet.” So I spoke with the lovely staff member next to him who helped me get s new room.

Check in was quick. The room was exceptionally clean. Staff were friendly. I enjoyed the breakfast and snacks at the club level. The lobby offered a bar, restaurant, coffee shop and snack market. I’d definitely stay here again when visiting Madison.

I am disappointed with 9 inches of snow, not one employee had the common sense to shovel the sidewalks and keep the guests safe. I slipped on a metal grate that was buried under all the snow and ended up fracturing my ankle. It’s sad from a service perspective. I haven’t heard anything back from the hotel when I emailed them. Disappointed in the basics of customer service being missed by management. I hope changes can be made by this hotel for future winter storms!

Our stay was lovely and the room was super quiet despite being close to a busy road, which I was worried about at first. I am a light sleeper, but slept solidly through the night! It was a quick, less than 10 minute and less than $10 Uber drive to the Capitol, which was very convenient. Close to the city without the city prices, and parking is free! The only thing I was disappointed about was the gym area. It was incredibly spacious for a hotel gym, but the equipment was in desperate need of maintenance. The multi-use cable machine was unusable due to rough cable pulleys. Other than that though, we really enjoyed our stay!

Very nice hotel. Friendly staff, very clean, comfortable bed. Only reason I went down one step is because when we walked in to lobby we were hit by an overwhelming musty smell. Smell was always there. Pool area was very nice snd no musty smell there. Good complimentary breakfast. I would recommend this place.
