I have stayed at the Concourse in the past and loved it. Unfortunately, this time the room was not up to standard. It had a musty odor. It didn’t have all the usual amenities in the bathroom, and the windows were not triple glazed, so street noise was pronounced.

Overall the hotel was fine. If you look at the hotel pictures and think of going up to the bar with the view of the capital for a nightcap or whatever ... think again because "regular" guests are not allowed in there - you must reserve a special and more expensive room to gain access. We were told that it was an extra $100 a night to have a room where access to the view bar was included. We were disappointed. No tea in the room, only coffee. You can go to the front desk and get a tea bag ... we, as tea drinkers, were not told this but did find a dumb little note in the room which said we needed to get a tea bag from the front desk, really? Tea bags cost pennies. The creme rinse in the shower was not good. The restaurant was closed for dinner the night we were there ... went to The Old Fashioned bar and grill a block away which was EXCELLENT - highly recommend. And if you are tired of Starbucks (one in the lobby) try Michelangelo's coffee shop around the corner - a local place, which was also EXCELLLENT and FUN.

We stayed here with our pup and it felt amazing. You have everything you need for a Madison trip let it be for a night or a week. Definitely worth it - location was top too. We ended up using the parking garage next to us (slightly more expensive than the hotel's but we had a bigger car.

The window leaked, the Heat had to run almost constantly. There were no modern plugs for cell phones, c type. The remote had dead batteries, which we replaced ourselves. The gate in parking kept having issues reading the room card, so i ended up paying for parking out of pocket.

Stayed while in Madison for a performance at the Overture Center. Easy walk to the theater, restaurants around the square and State Street. Excellent hotel. Upgraded to a club room for not too much $ and enjoyed the lounge with complimentary drinks, appetizers, desserts, access to the library and soda and water all day. Will stay again. Hopefully soon!

The airport shuttle was the best part about our stay. Otherwise, our room was on the third floor which also occupies the pool so it smelled like chlorine in the hall. We were also located near the elevator and could hear dinging all night long. The bathroom sink was clogged/slow to drain. The lobby did not offer water or coffee. I was charged $2 incidental fee for a long distance phone call we did not make.

They treated us like royalty! When we checked in, Mathieu immediately upgraded our room and we had a bathtub big enough for four people. It was very luxurious and came with bath salts and fine soaps. Mathieu also sent us a bottle of champagne to the room for my husband’s birthday. It was lovely. The food and the governor’s club was world class! We will definitely be back.

The room was fine. I never got to use the amenities because the place was overrun with unruly children and teenagers disturbing the peace 24/7, including knocking on my door multiple time in the middle of the night then running away. They would also press every button in the elevator and ride it up and down making it slow and beep incessantly and race through the halls late at night. Staff couldn’t control the premises even after multiple complaints. I was moved into another room further from the elevators and I’m grateful for that staff member’s assistance, hence the second star. Other than that, all other staff I interacted with were inattentive and not very polite. I had to wait for the gentleman at the front desk to finish playing on his phone before he checked me in around 10pm. Then he was impolite when I asked if incidentals meant something like a deposit. He simply repeated “incidentals!” curtly and was generally unfriendly. What’s up with that? No reason to be that way. Then multiple times I was given unclear information leading to me wasting my time. I asked where I could find disposable utensils, dishes, and a microwave. I was told it was all on the 3rd floor when only the microwave was on the 3rd floor. So I had to go back down and ask again, which took forever because of how packed the elevators constantly were. Parking was also a nightmare because it seemed like they let more people in than there were spaces, but I still paid $20 a night? Never again.
