Front staff was very rude. He was not helpful at all. There was garbage laying around everywhere. Guests were hanging out in the hallways. Building smelled of marijuana. Our room had chipped paint, holes, plaster all over the walls, especially in the bathroom. Very unprofessional.

When booking online, the site said the dog fee was $20 per night, but the hotel staff claimed it was $30. Also we picked it because of the pool, but when we arrived the pool was closed down. The room was clean and the staff were fine. There was no pool available, my television was out of order every day, the toilet ran almost constantly and the shower head needed replacement or a good cleaning. I spoke to two people at the front desk regarding the problems. I asked for some adjustment on the room charges and was told nothing could be done since I used Expedia. I have stayed at this hotel previously and all was fine. This was an unfortunate stay, this time.

The breakfast was okay but they should’ve had more options such as boiled eggs or turkey. I don’t eat pork. The bed size says that it’s a queen size the bed is a full size this is misleading for a person that’s 6.5 feet tall. The rooms needs to be disinfected after each stay they smelled like pets. The heater wasn’t functioning properly in my suite. The light on the balcony didn’t work . Overall I like the property and the employees were great. The hotel rooms just needs more TLC to properly accommodate their guest.

Wouldn’t allow early check-ins. We had to be at a wedding at 3:30 so had to go the Hampton Inn to change clothes where our daughter was staying. We didn’t check in til 10:20 pm. I believe they overcharged us from what hotels.com quoted. We reserved a walk in shower and didn’tget it. The rest of the room was very nice but we only had time to sleep so couldn’t enjoy it.

The only complaint I have which isn’t really the hotel’s fault was a strong smell of pot when we got off the elevator in our hallway. Luckily we couldn’t smell it in our room.

Great for a weekend stay

We were in town for Blades of Steel Metalfest and it was perfect for us. Decent buffet style breakfast, free parking. Shower was hot with good water pressure. I do think the rooms could benefit with a dehumidifier, we had to open the balcony door to get the steam/moisture out after a shower. But that's a minor issue. Great location to the highway and food options.

I found blood on the bed linens when I pulled back the sheet to get in bed. As there were two beds in the room, I checked the other bed, which did not have any stains and slept in that one.There were also several groups of men outside the building, barbecuing and or eating their dinners when we arrived around 7 PM. Sadly, it looked like they needed a shower and and a good night’s rest. There is Home Depot across the street,not certain if the men were day laborers there. Only noticed these men on the side and rear of the building. Reason I drove around the building initially was in an attempt to find an electric charging station for my vehicle. Period I did not park in the rear or sides of this building.

Our room was as expected. Clean and comfortable. We didn't get a chance to use the pool or eat breakfast but it was a great place for a quick stop on our road trip to get some rest and showers. Staff was friendly and helpful. Plenty of food and shopping options nearby. Easy to get to, right off the highway exit. Would book again if we ever found ourselves back in Madison! Thanks!

This is an older property and the rooms looked a bit tired. The bathroom door was delaminating and there were some odd stains on the walls. One towel was also dirty. The breakfast wasn't very good and they were understaffed. Overall, not a great place stay. There are better choices.

No Such Thing as Non-Smoking Here

Fine enough hotel, but quite over priced for what you get. The room was big, which is great and all. Small couch in a living room type set up. But that is about all the good you can say about the place.

Heavy fake air freshener small throughout. Heavy. Way too heavy. The reason for that is because it certainly used to be a smoking friendly establishment. So you get the full smell of heavy air freshener and old cigarettes. The worst part is that I booked. Non-smoking room, but obviously that room has not always been non-smoking. The whole room stunk like cigarettes and there is nothing you can do.

Just beware if you’re booking. No such thing as a non-smoking room, and it is just old, stinky, and run down.

Mixed up rooms but it got fixed

Our flight was delayed and the man who checked us in seemed like he didn't know what to do. We ended up in a 2-queen room instead of the king deluxe i booked. Our keys stopped working the next night and when we went to the desk, a different guy working the desk was very helpful in getting us into our correct room. Apparently there were a few rooms messed up from the previous guy
